December 19, 2006. Clayton, Missouri. 57-year old attorney Ernie Brasier is found shot to death inside a third-floor office of his law firm: Boggs, Boggs & Bates. Since Ernie was killed in an office belonging to another attorney, there is speculation that he may have been the victim of mistaken identity, but no evidence is found to support this theory. Over the next few years, there are a number of strange incidents involving other employees at the firm, including a bombing at the home of two of its partners, but they fail to shed any light on Ernie's death and the crime remains unsolved. On this week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we explore the bizarre murder of Ernie Brasier, which took place at a law firm which was described as being like something out of a John Grisham novel. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Clayton Police Department at (314) 645-3000 or the St. Louis Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477) Additional Reading: https://www.komu.com/news/police-need-help-in-murder-case/article_8d7c83aa-2c7b-5c5e-b395-ce7a2a1f416d.html https://www.komu.com/news/lawyer-found-dead-in-office/article_43b3b252-760c-5008-84c2-c803ea292554.html https://www.newspapers.com/image/151872790/ https://www.newspapers.com/image/151995160/ https://www.riverfronttimes.com/the-unsolved-murder-of-ernie-brasier-a-clayton-attorneys-death-nearly-two-years-ago-continues-to-mystify-police-and-colleagues/ https://issuu.com/chsglobe/docs/april_globe_2022_1_/s/15434096 https://www.abajournal.com/news/article/law_firm_mystery_second_lawyer_dies_at_young_age_slaying_of_third_unsolved https://www.abajournal.com/news/article/bombs_explode_at_home_of_2_partners_in_law_firm_that_was_site_of_unsolved_m https://www.courthousenews.com/big-problem-at-the-law-office/ https://www.businessinsider.com/lawyer-fire-bombing-lawsuit-2012-9 https://patch.com/missouri/kirkwood/accused-of-bombing-ex-partners-home-kirkwood-lawyer-fights-back https://molawyersmedia.com/2013/06/19/st-louis-lawyers-settle-with-ex-partner-in-bombing-case/ “The Trail Went Cold” is on Patreon. In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show, I'm sharing a live Q&A from the One Funnel Away Challenge! I jumped in to coach a few entrepreneurs in real time. We talked about everything from tech setup for presenting, to simplifying your funnel so it converts, to making your webinar headlines more relatable. One person asked how to manage slides, comments, and delivery without getting thrown off. I walked through how I use Google Slides in presenter view, why I don't look at comments live, and how I use two monitors to keep things flowing. Later, I broke down a funnel that was trying to do too much. I explained how to simplify by starting with one core product, then use OTOs to stack value and increase average cart value. We also looked at webinar registration…. Why curiosity matters, how to rewrite headlines to speak to your audience's current situation, and ways to promote without jumping straight into ads. I shared thoughts on price points too… because a $10K offer on a webinar is a tough sell if you haven't built the right runway. Key Highlights: The right way to set up your slides and screens when presenting Why I avoid reading comments live (and what I do instead) How to simplify your funnel by leading with one clear product Adding upsells after the sale to increase conversions Tips for creating curiosity and rewriting webinar headlines Why $500 to $1K is the sweet spot for most webinar offers If you've ever felt overwhelmed by your tech, your funnel, or your messaging… This episode will help you tighten it all up! https://sellingonline.com/podcast https://clickfunnels.com/podcast Learn more about your ad choices. "That is one of my core values—to try to live a life of non-violence and not contribute to anyone's suffering in any way, because we're all suffering in our own way, and we're all fighting a battle that everybody knows nothing about. Something as simple as eating can be an act of compassion or an act of violence, and you get to decide" It's not often you come across a person who has graced the front cover of Men's Fitness magazine, and it's even rarer when that exceptionally chiseled person happens to be vegan. In fact, today's guest, Nimai Delgado, is the only one. Nimai is a former IFBB Pro in the Men's Physique category, but there's more to him than just muscles. Raised in a Hari Krishna farming community in the South until he was eight years old, Nimai is insightful, compassionate, and surprisingly relatable. He's garnered nearly one million followers through his multiple Instagram accounts and uses his fame to teach others about the health benefits of a vegan diet. If it can power his kind of mass, it can certainly sustain the average human. This conversation roams from protein myths to ahimsa, public relationship break-ups to nutrition tips. Go for a walk, get to the gym, or start doing squats—you'll want to be active when you listen to this show. What we discuss in this episode: Nimai's relationship with protein and the misconception around macronutrients Standard bodybuilding nutrition versus Nimai's plant-based routine Growing up in a Hari Krishna community in the South and the concept of ahimsa His very public breakup during the pandemic Fitness and nutrition tips for the every day person Finding your “WHY” Nimai's Buddha Bowl recipe VeganFitness.com Vedge Nutrition and the role of supplements Follow Nimai on Instagram @nimai_delgado Click the link below to support the FISCAL Act https://switch4good.org/fiscal-act/ Share the website and get your resources here https://kidsandmilk.org/ Send us a voice message and ask a question. By 4:30 PM that Saturday, the doors were locked and the ADT alarm system was set. When staff returned to the facility the following morning, they were surprised to see that Julie's casket had been moved from an empty hallway and now rested in a strange position near an exit door. And inside the casket, there was nothing. Her remains were missing...Research by Ira RaiWriting by Amelia WhiteHosting & production by Micheal WhelanLearn more about this podcast at http://unresolved.meIf you would like to support this podcast, consider heading to https://www.patreon.com/unresolvedpod to become a Patron or ProducerBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/unresolved--3266604/support.

A Parenting Resource for Children’s Behavior and Mental Health
Parenting a dysregulated child can leave you drained and second-guessing yourself. You try connecting, you set boundaries—yet the meltdowns, backtalk, and big emotions just don't stop. But here's the truth: it's not bad parenting—it's a dysregulated brain. And there is a way forward. In this episode, I'll introduce Regulation First Parenting—a practical, science-backed approach that helps children calm their nervous systems so connection and teaching can actually stick. You'll learn why traditional parenting advice often backfires, how co-regulation works, and what steps you can take today to bring more peace into your home. Why does my child melt down after school even when I try to connect? Many parents wonder, “Why does my child explode the minute they walk through the door?” You're not imagining it. When kids are running on stress responses, connection without regulation falls flat. Their nervous system is in survival mode, and even the kindest validation can unintentionally make anxiety and distress worse. That's why regulation has to come first. Until the brain is calm, your child simply can't access learning, connection, or even your love in the way you want them to.Regulation comes before connection. A dysregulated brain can't learn or fully receive your love and guidance.Gentle parenting without boundaries fuels dysregulation. Endless empathy without calm structure leaves kids feeling more overwhelmed.Behavior is communication. Every meltdown is your child's nervous system saying, “I need support, not punishment.”When you shift to this Regulation First Parenting mindset, you stop spinning your wheels and begin giving your child the calm foundation they need to eventually learn self regulation skills, emotional awareness, and positive outcomes.Want to stay calm when your child pushes every button?Become a Dysregulation Insider VIP and get the FREE Regulation Rescue Kit—your step-by-step guide to stop oppositional behaviors without yelling or giving in.Go to www.drroseann.com/newsletter and grab your kit today. How can I help my child regulate their emotions in difficult moments?Your child's nervous system syncs with yours through co-regulation. When you stay calm, they can borrow your calm.Over time, this builds their ability to self regulate.Tips for practicing co regulation:Model calm stress responses. Use deep breathing, softer facial expressions, or a gentle rhythm in your voice.Pause before reacting. Even a few seconds of self reflection helps you manage your own triggers.Practice mindfulness. A deep breath or butterfly tapping resets your body so you can respond instead of react.Use the traffic light model. Using this model helps parents feel less overwhelmed because it gives you a clear roadmap for when to pause, when to support, and when to guide your child's behavior.Red = stop talking. When your child is in full meltdown, their brain is in survival mode. This is the time to focus on your own calm, not correction.Yellow = stress is lowering. As their body begins to settle, your co-regulation helps them feel safe enough to start regaining control.Green = learning can happen. Once calm returns, your child's prefrontal cortex is back online. This is when connection and teaching finally stick. Why do discipline and sticker charts...

Life After Police Work: And Yes, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks, Special Episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast. Where John Jay Wiley is a guest on the "Don't Be Caged By Your Age” Podcast. For many, retirement means slowing down. But for John Jay Wiley, a retired Baltimore Police Sergeant turned nationally syndicated radio broadcaster, life after police work became an opportunity to reinvent himself and inspire others along the way. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast promoted across their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. In a recent special episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, Wiley appeared as a guest on Ande Lyons' Don't Be Caged By Your Age podcast, a program dedicated to helping people thrive after 65. The conversation focused on resilience, reinvention, and breaking age stereotypes, proving that, yes, old dogs can learn new tricks. This is a special episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast, available for free on our website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and most podcast platforms. The episode, available for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio website, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and most podcast platforms, has been promoted across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Medium, and other social media outlets. Look for supporting stories about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . From Police Sergeant to Podcaster “I remember being in the Baltimore Police Academy in 1980 and an instructor telling us that the average maximum age for a Baltimore Police Officer at that time was 52, and that many of them died within two years of retirement,” Wiley recalled. “That hit me like a ton of bricks. Although I could never imagine myself being that old at the time.” READ THIS FREE ARTICLE: 3 Tips to Help You Stand Out from the Crowd. Wiley's law enforcement career ended abruptly after a career-ending injury, forcing him to make a difficult decision about what came next. Instead of allowing the setback to define his future, Wiley pivoted toward broadcasting, a leap that would eventually redefine his life. Life After Police Work: And Yes, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks, Special Episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other podcast platforms. Over time, he built a successful second career as a nationally syndicated radio host and podcaster, launching the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show to give first responders, veterans, and their families a platform to share their real, unfiltered stories. “Resilience and mental health are topics we can't ignore,” Wiley shared. “Our show isn't about headlines or quick soundbites, it's about honest, authentic voices that deserve to be heard.” Embracing Technology: Old Dogs, New Tricks Beyond radio, Wiley faced another major challenge, technology. The world had gone digital, and for someone whose professional beginnings predated smartphones and social media, the learning curve was steep. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast episode is available for free on their website , Apple Podcasts , Spotify and most major podcast platforms. “The question was, could this old dog learn new tricks?” Wiley joked. “Not only did I have to embrace technology, but I had to use it as a tool, to grow financially, expand my reach, and create multiple streams of revenue.” Today, Wiley connects with audiences across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and podcast platforms like Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Through these channels, he's built a national and international following, all while keeping the mission at the heart of his work, amplifying the voices of first responders. Life After Police Work: And Yes, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks, Special Episode. Challenging Age Stereotypes Ande Lyons, host of Don't Be Caged By Your Age, praised Wiley's energy and authenticity: “John Jay is a remarkable storyteller and advocate. He's living proof that thriving after 65 is possible, and that old assumptions about aging no longer apply. His courage to adapt and grow is exactly what inspires my audience.” Lyons' show celebrates pro-aging perspectives, weekly conversations with individuals who defy outdated expectations about what life “should” look like after 60. Her mission is to provide ideas, resources, and motivation for anyone seeking to flourish in later life. Wiley's story fit perfectly into that vision. The full podcast episode is streaming now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. READ THIS FREE ARTICLE: Unplug and Disconnect for Success: The Power of Intentional Disconnection During the interview, they also discussed ageism, which Wiley addressed candidly: “Ageism is something that I have to acknowledge exists,” he said, “but I've never had my age stop me from being employed. I focus on selling my value. I don't need health insurance, I have flexibility in earnings, and I bring decades of experience. When employers realize that, they understand it costs less to hire me than a younger person.” Wiley's practical approach to self-worth and experience reframes aging as an advantage, not an obstacle. Building the Life You Want For Wiley, the key to his post-police success has been mindset. “It's about creating the life you want,” he explained. “Not the life dictated to you by others. Once I understood that, everything, broadcasting, podcasting, social media, technology, became tools to build something meaningful.” He's also quick to challenge stereotypes about older adults and technology. “You don't have to understand how something works to use it effectively,” he said. Life After Police Work: And Yes, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks, Special Episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast episode is available for free on their website , Apple Podcasts , Spotify and most major podcast platforms. Wiley illustrates the point with three simple examples: television, radio, and flight. Television: “I don't comprehend how the signal is broadcast or how the screen displays it, but I can turn it on and instantly be transported into another story, another world.” Radio: “I've worked in it for years, yet I still can't explain how sound travels that far. I just know that when I speak into a microphone, people everywhere can hear me.” Air travel: “It baffles me how something that big and heavy flies 500 miles an hour at 30,000 feet. But I don't need to understand it to benefit from it.” His philosophy is simple but powerful: focus on learning how to use technology, not how it works. A Story Worth Sharing Whether it's through the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show, podcasts, or social media, John Jay Wiley continues to use his platform to serve others, particularly those who've served their communities. His story is one of resilience, adaptability, and purpose, reminding listeners that the end of one career can be the beginning of another. Life After Police Work: And Yes, Old Dogs Can Learn New Tricks, Special Episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast. The full podcast episode is streaming now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. As Wiley summed it up beautifully: “Life after police work doesn't mean the end of purpose. It means a new chapter—and if you're willing to learn, old dogs really can learn new tricks.” Listeners can tune into this special episode of the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and the Don't Be Caged By Your Age Podcast, streaming now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. In this new episode #224 – Why Resentment Builds, I'm diving into one of those sneaky emotions that can quietly shape your mission and your life: resentment. We've all felt it—whether it's with a companion, a roommate, a family member, or even in marriage. Resentment often builds when we expect someone else to meet our needs instead of learning how to meet them ourselves. I'll share stories from my own life, experiences from missionaries in the field, and tools you can start using right away to shift from emotional childhood into emotional maturity. Together, we'll explore what resentment really is, why it keeps us stuck, and how to fill our own “gas tank” with validation, appreciation, and love—without waiting around for someone else to do it for us. If you're preparing, serving, or adjusting to life after your mission (or supporting someone who is), this episode will give you practical strategies to stop outsourcing your emotions, take ownership of your feelings, and create the confidence and freedom you're looking for. As always, if you found this episode helpful, I want to invite you to subscribe if you aren't already, share this episode with your friends and missionaries you know, and write a review. I know this work will help LDS missionaries around the world and it would mean so much to me if you did. Until next week my friends.
