August 26, 2006. Hinton, Alberta. After failing to reach her on the radio or the telephone, the supervisor of 70-year old Stephanie Stewart travels to the Athabasca Lookout Tower in the province's foothills, where Stephanie is posted as a seasonal fire spotter. When he arrives, the supervisor finds a smear of blood on the front steps of Stephanie's cabin and a pot of water on the stove, but there is no sign of her anywhere. Since bed sheets and other items are also missing from the cabin, there is speculation that Stephanie was murdered by someone who transported her body from the scene and disposed of it, but she cannot be found and there are no solid suspects or a known motive for her disappearance.  May 3, 1983. Hinton, Alberta. After spending the evening with her boyfriend at the Sunset Trailer Court, 16-year old Shelley-Anne Bacsu phones her mother to let her know that an unnamed friend will be picking her up and driving her home. Shelley-Anne never arrives, but a number of witnesses report having seen her walking down Alberta Highway 16 before she disappeared. Some of Shelley-Anne's clothing and personal items are found scattered on a road next to the Athabasca River, but while her family suspects that she was harmed by someone who gave her a ride, no trace of Shelley-Anne is ever found. On this week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we travel to the same region of Alberta to cover a pair of unsolved Canadian missing persons cases. If you have any information about either fo these cases, please contact the Hinton branch of the RCMP at (780) 865-2455 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). When the loudest voices in health are selling confusion, fear, and the next quick fix, it's hard to know what — or who — to trust. That's exactly why conversations like this one matter. Dr. David Katz has spent decades cutting through the chaos with uncommon clarity. A renowned physician, bestselling author, and one of the most influential thinkers in nutrition and preventive medicine, his work has helped millions rethink the very basics of how we eat and how we live. In this very special episode, he unpacks what determines human health, what real nourishment looks like, and why choosing it now is more radical — and more necessary — than ever. If you've ever wondered what's true, what's marketing, and what actually moves the needle on well-being, this is a must-listen conversation. What we discuss in this episode: The nutrition pattern humans are biologically built for. Why fiber is non-negotiable for long-term health. Why smart regulations save lives — and what happens when they're missing. How Big Food and Big Tobacco use the same playbook to keep us hooked.  Methylcellulose: what it is, where it comes from, and why it's misunderstood. Why beef tops the list as the most environmentally destructive food. The fundamentals of longevity that anyone can put into practice. The biggest misconceptions most people have about staying healthy. Resources:  https://davidkatzmd.com/ Dr. David L. Start Your Transformation Now  In this episode of The Jim Fortin Podcast, Jim continues his Shaman's Tips for an Amazing 2026 series with Part 4, diving even deeper into Don Javier's teachings about silence, power, and divine connection. Building on previous insights, Jim unpacks how the endless “noise” in our inner and outer world separates us from hearing divine guidance—and how true transformation begins when that noise stops.  Drawing from a 2024 conversation with Don Javier, Jim explains how constant internal dialogue, emotional reactions, and pity masquerading as compassion drain our energy and block our awareness. He reveals why meditation isn't an escape, but a return to truth—and how stillness is the warrior's gateway to the infinite. Through these profound lessons, Jim invites listeners to step out of the illusions of mind chatter and into luminous presence.  If you're ready to reclaim your awareness, quiet the inner noise, and reconnect with your higher consciousness, this episode will show you how silence itself can become your most powerful spiritual practice.  What You'll Discover in This Episode:  Escaping the prison of noise (03:24): Jim shares Don Javier's wisdom on how every thought, judgment, and reaction pulls you out of divine awareness—and how silence restores peace.  The truth about empathy (12:59): Learn how true empathy is unity, not emotion, and why ordinary compassion often hides self-importance and ego.  Pity vs. Love (15:50): Discover why pity is not love but disguised ego—and how real compassion is silent, radiant presence.  Becoming love itself (18:41): Jim reflects on Don Javier's reminder that awakened beings don't send love—they are love, and that vibration transforms everything effortlessly.  Meditation and stillness as the path of power (21:32): Find out why meditation isn't an escape but the art of “stopping the world,” allowing reality to become fluid, luminous, and alive.  Living fully in the present (24:26): Explore why the past is smoke, the future a mirage, and how only the present moment holds true power and connection with the divine.  Listen, apply, and enjoy!  Transformational Takeaway  Noise is the great thief of power. Every moment you silence your mind, you strengthen your link with the infinite. The path of mastery begins with stillness—because silence is not emptiness; it's the space where divine mind speaks. Guard your awareness like sacred fire, and enter 2026 grounded in peace, clarity, and luminous presence.  Let's Connect:  Instagram | Facebook | YouTube | LinkedIn  LIKED THE EPISODE?  If you're the kind of person who likes to help others, then share this with your friends and family. Erin Martin, the Co-Founder and CEO of Pump for Joy, turned her personal struggles into a groundbreaking innovation designed to empower mothers in the workplace. In this interview, Erin shared her journey of transforming what she calls an “exclusive pumping” experience into a solution to make life easier for countless moms.Erin described her experience as a working mother pumping breast milk in 2021: “The cleaning between each pumping session would take a long time. Every time I was done, it felt like the next second I was doing another pumping session.” Realizing the lack of support for pumping moms, she envisioned a product that eliminates the hassle of cleaning pump parts while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.Pump for Joy's flagship product is a single-use, 100% biodegradable breast milk collection kit. Designed to simplify the lives of working mothers, the product eliminates the need for extensive cleaning while remaining environmentally friendly. “I cannot bring myself to make a single-use plastic product,” Erin explained. “If I'm creating a convenience product, the very last thing I want to do is hurt the environment.”Developing this innovation has required Erin and her team to navigate the complexities of creating a biodegradable design that meets strict medical device regulations. However, their efforts don't stop there. Erin is actively exploring cellulose-based materials and cutting-edge bioplastics, such as PHA, to push sustainability even further. To fund this mission, Pump for Joy is raising capital through a regulated investment crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder. This approach allows moms and supporters alike to invest in the company's success and become part of the effort to create a better future for working mothers and the planet. As a proud women-owned, minority-owned business, Pump for Joy exemplifies innovation, environmental stewardship, and social impact. Erin's commitment goes beyond solving a problem; it reflects a deep integrity. She put it best: “It's an unwavering commitment to create a better solution for moms and for the environment at the same time.”Those interested in supporting the company can explore its WeFunder campaign at s4g.biz/joy. Pump for Joy is making a real difference in the lives of mothers and contributing to a more sustainable world.tl;dr:Erin Martin created Pump for Joy to empower working moms with a biodegradable breast milk collection kit.The product eliminates cleaning for nursing mothers and prioritizes environmental sustainability with innovative materials.Erin and her co-founder Vanessa leverage their complementary skills to drive Pump for Joy's success. The company is raising capital on WeFunder, inviting the community to invest in its mission.Erin's superpower, creativity and tinkering, has been key to solving challenges and innovating sustainably. How to Develop Creativity and Tinkering As a SuperpowerErin's superpower lies in her ability to creatively tinker and iterate, transforming failure into opportunity. She explained, “I have not ever let go of this idea of constant learning and creativity. If there's a problem to be solved, my brain immediately starts thinking through how we might solve it.” Her passion for experimentation and improvement allows her to approach challenges with curiosity and determination, making her a natural innovator. When developing Pump for Joy's biodegradable breast milk collection kit, Erin faced a design challenge: creating a product that was both user-friendly and environmentally sustainable. Initially, the design was a single piece, but through relentless iteration, it evolved into a multi-part solution. Erin described how she explored everything from magnetic seals to twist mechanisms, testing each idea with prototypes from her 3D printer. Her persistence paid off, resulting in a design that balances functionality and sustainability, a testament to her creative problem-solving.Tips for Developing Creativity and Tinkering:Embrace Failure as a Learning Tool: Erin reminds us, “Failure is not final.” Use setbacks as opportunities to refine your approach.Stay Curious: Approach problems with a mindset of exploration and a willingness to try unconventional solutions.Iterate Relentlessly: Test, tweak, and repeat until you find the best solution.Learn New Skills: Erin's hobbies, like programming in Arduino and 3D printing, directly enhance her creative problem-solving.Adopt a Growth Mindset: Expect your first attempt to fall short and see improvement as part of the process.By following Erin's example and advice, you can make creativity and tinkering a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. You do you!Guest ProfileErin Martin (she/her):Co-Founder & CEO, Pump For JoyAbout Pump For Joy: Pump for Joy makes single use breast milk collection kits for busy moms. Most people think personal branding is for the loudest voices in the room. But Goldie Chan, longtime creator and author of Personal Branding for Introverts, believes the opposite; introverts have superpowers that make them uniquely equipped to shape a personal brand with depth, clarity, and impact. Goldie has built a global audience with her signature green hair, thoughtful storytelling, and approachable advice for people who don't want to pretend to be someone they're not. In this episode of Hello Monday, she sits down with Jessi Hempel for a practical, generous conversation about how introverts can build a personal brand that feels authentic, sustainable, and true to who they are. Jessi and Goldie discuss: Why personal branding is not about being loud The difference between reputation (what others say) and personal brand (what you say) Goldie's 5 Cs framework: clarity, consistency, competency, confidence, and community What it really means to be an introvert How “loud introverts” can manage energy, show up powerfully, and recover afterward Tips for networking without draining your battery, from scripts to small-group strategy Why “evergreen content” is your friend, and how to build a sustainable posting cadenceThe power of making mistakes in an AI-saturated world How to evolve your brand over time without confusing your audience Practical advice for job seekers, career pivoters, and anyone afraid of climbing “Cringe Mountain” Goldie's message is clear: introverts don't need to become extroverts to build a meaningful presence. Hello, hello, and welcome back to Good Girls Get Rich! Today we're diving into something EVERY woman in business is feeling right now, whether you've said it out loud or not: There's a massive trust deficit happening in our world. AI is everywhere, people are questioning everything, and yes — even the MOST positive, heart-centered women I know are saying, "I don't believe anything I read or see anymore." And honestly… they're not wrong. So today's episode is a big hug, a mindset reset, AND a strategic kick-in-the-leggings to help you stay aligned, stay credible, and stay powerful in all this chaos. I'm sharing my signature 3 Tips in 3 Minutes: Trust starts inside you. You can't control what's real online anymore — but you can build unshakeable self-trust that radiates outward. Holding your center is a radical act of wealth. Yep, wealth. Not just money — clarity, authority, confidence, alignment. A rising tide lifts all ships… and YOU can be that tide. Lifting others doesn't dim your light — it amplifies it. We're talking trends, real human connection on LinkedIn, how to navigate the overwhelming noise online, how to be the signal instead of chasing every trend, and how showing up human-to-human is your most magnetic marketing strategy. If you're craving more visibility, more wealth, and more women in your world who get it — this one's for you. Magical Quotes From The Episode: "Credibility is the new currency. If people can't trust you, they can't hire you." "Holding your center is a radical act of wealth — the world needs your grounded truth." "You don't have to chase the trends. YOU are the trend. Let the world catch up to you."   Help Us Spread The Word! It would be awesome if you shared the Good Girls Get Rich Podcast with your fellow entrepreneurs on Twitter. Click here to tweet some love! Steve's story is a testament to resilience and reinvention, showing that setbacks can spark your greatest professional pivots. From launching his career in journalism to shaping iconic campaigns like "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas," Steve enjoyed 25+ successful years in advertising, in-house marketing, and consulting before confronting—and thriving through—not one but four career layoffs.   In this heartfelt and practical discussion, Steve gets candid about how professionals can reclaim their power, purpose, and confidence after a job loss. He introduces his actionable "Grieve, Grow, and Go" framework, providing insights into the emotional and strategic realities of layoffs, and challenges listeners to bet on themselves—no matter how daunting the circumstances may be. Steve shares how aligning with your values and passions, adopting a learning mindset, and bravely taking risks are the keys to stepping into the driver's seat of your career, not simply riding along.   Whether you're currently navigating a layoff, worried about job security, or looking to get proactive about your career direction, this episode brings validation, encouragement, and tactical advice you can use right now. Having a confusing or boringly basic point is a sure-fire way to making your audience rapidly uninterested. Keep you points easy to convey, short and to the point, but not so broad that everyone's left confused and audience retention will quickly improve.Show Notes: 101 Public Speaking Tips For Delivering Your Best Speech(https://www.fearlesspresentations.com/101-public-speaking-tips-for-delivering-your-best-speech/)

In today's episode, I'm diving into a topic I've been thinking about a lot lately: the deep relationship between our nervous system, endocrine system, and digestive system—and how these three powerful systems work together to shape our mood climate. We often talk about emotions as if they are our mood, but they're not the same. Emotions come and go like shifting weather patterns, while mood is more like the long-term climate of our inner world. In this video, I explore what actually influences our mood, how our physiological systems interact, and why understanding this triad can give us more tools for emotional regulation, mental health, and overall well-being.I also share why the choices we make in the heat of an emotional moment can shape our longer-term mood, and how becoming aware of these patterns can help us cultivate more stability, resilience, and self-understanding.We will focus on three adaptogens which specifically address the mood triangle:- Rhodiola- Tulsi- SchisandraIf you've ever wondered why your mood lingers long after an emotion has passed, or how your body's internal systems contribute to how you feel day after day, this conversation will give you a clearer, more empowered perspective.
