Some of us may have learned the role and meaning of money through board games such as Monopoly, and video games such as Super Mario Brothers or through allowance we received from our parents in real life. We learn about the origin of a currency system, where people started using tokens instead of barter exchange. I often hear the following: Money is a tool. Money is energy. Time is money. Money is a store of value. I won't go too deep on the philosophical route about money here, but I would like to make space to think about money in the next few series as its form is constantly changing, whether that's credit cards, digital currency, or cryptocurrency.
