Facebook for real estate agents? It can be powerful for building your sphere of influence and for marketing. Hear insights about: How Adam first became a real estate agent as a backup plan, and how seeing his friends miserable in their careers pushed him to build a career How Adam staked out his own path by exploring the power of Facebook for real estate agents for both his marketing and to build his sphere of influence Why Adam chose to focus on Facebook rather than LinkedIn or Instagram, and what benefits he gets from Facebook that he can't find elsewhere Why consistent branding and posting on Adam's Facebook page is crucial for helping him build his reputation and influence Why successful use of Facebook in real estate involves focusing on messaging that moves the needle for your business What Adam's business looks like today versus when he started, and what goals and growth plans he has set for the coming year Why Facebook for real estate agents is an ideal platform due to its enormous user base, which creates a powerful “unlimited audience” How a developed and fleshed-out content calendar helps Adam continue creating content for Facebook without scrambling for ideas Why Adam occasionally posts personal content on his page to boost his business posts by satisfying Facebook's engagement algorithm Facebook for Real Estate Agents Facebook can be a powerful engagement tool for building your brand, forging relationships, marketing your business and speaking directly with clients. In this week's episode of the Pursuing Freedom podcast, real estate agent and Facebook expert Adam Sheets shares how he has built a thriving business in just six years fueled almost entirely by the incredible reach of Facebook's powerful social media platform. While Instagram and LinkedIn are often the “go-to” social media channels, Facebook for real estate agents is ideal because its reach gives it a unique position that you can turn into an incredible lead generation source, as well as a way to position yourself as an expert in your area. Facebook for Real Estate Agents: Extending Your Reach As Adam explained during our conversation, he's only been operating in real estate since 2016. However, he has been able to find extraordinary success thanks to using Facebook as his primary marketing tool. Adam says the key is to create a content calendar and stick to it! That way, you aren't always scrambling for ideas for new posts, and that consistency helps increase your engagement. Creating solid content that is helpful to your audience is a critical step in the process, but so are sharing that content consistently and ensuring that it looks polished and professional. The Cost and Reach Advantages of Facebook Adam decided to join the family business as a “last resort”, but he quickly realized that being a real estate agent offered him a level of freedom he wouldn't be able to get working in a corporate job. However, he didn't want to do things the way they'd traditionally been done, and so he immersed himself in Facebook so that he could master its systems and algorithms. He quickly realized how inexpensive and powerful Facebook for real estate agents can be. With almost 3 billion global users, Facebook is the world's largest and most powerful social media platform. And Adam is an expert at putting that reach to good use! Today, Adam's business is booming after just six years, and he even spends part of his time teaching others how to master Facebook. If you'd like to learn more about Adam and his family team, you can visit their website at www.sheetsteam.net or visit them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thesheetsteam to see Adam's mastery of Facebook firsthand! About Adam Sheets, in his own words “I'm a college drop out that turned to real estate as a last ditch effort to make a career for myself. I run a team with my Mom, Brenda and my Dad, Marty. I had $1200 when I started so I turned to Facebook because it was the cheapest way to generate business. Now, over 97% of my business comes from Facebook and I operate a coaching platform with over 150 students. I'm a RE/MAX “Rising Star”, SWFL Real Producers “Rising Star” ranking in the top 500 over over 16,000 agents, Five Star Professional ‘Rising Star” and a RE/MAX Platinum Level Agent.” How to Connect With Adam Sheets Website: www.sheetsteam.net Facebook: www.facebook.com/thesheetsteam Twitter: @TheSheetsTeam Balanced Growth Course: Website: https://pursuingfreedom.thinkific.com/courses/balanced-growth

Paul sees Christ as undoing all that was done in Adam. What Adam did lead to death and division. What Christ has done, leads to life and union with God. In chapter 5 of Romans, Paul says this. Adam is a symbol of representation of Christ, who is yet to come. But there's a great difference between Adam's sin and God's gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam brought death to many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and His gift of forgiveness to many, through the other man, Jesus Christ. And the result of God's gracious gift is very different from the result of the one man's sin. For Adam's sin led to condemnation, but God's free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins. For the sin of this one man, Adam caused death to rule over many, but even greater is God's wonderful grace and His gift of righteousness for all who receive it, we live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. Yes, Adams. One sin brings condemnation to everyone. But Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. That's Romans 5:12- 18. Christ has undone, what Adam has done. And the news is really good. Amen.
In this episode of Smart Energy Decisions, host John Failla speaks with Adam Kramer, former Vice President of Strategy at Switch and current CEO of sustainability and energy start-up Ledger8760. They discuss Adam's role in helping Switch achieve 100% renewable energy and his new position at Ledger8760. Listen as they address the need for accurate data in order to successfully set and achieve sustainability goals. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in... Adam Kramer's move to a start-up [01:36] Adam's accomplishments at Switch [03:35] The fascinating Nevada market [07:52] The shift to broader emission reduction goals [14:27] Adam's new role at Ledger8760 [17:37] Defining company goals [22:49] Ledger8760's biggest challenges [27:42] From news reporter to CEO [30:36] Switch for 100% renewable energy In 2016, Switch committed to 100% renewable energy. It started in 2011 with the vision of Switch Founder and CEO Rob Roy when they began the process to pursue direct access. The back and forth they experienced with the utility companies led to Switch's ability to procure renewable energy directly and influencing NV Energy to create a green energy tariff. Through that, they were able to move their mission forward in Gigawatt 1, which brought solar and storage to Switch and the surrounding communities. Switch created the first green energy tariff in Michigan and continues to seek its goal of 100% renewables. The process towards sustainability in Nevada took four years. It was a push for a constitutional amendment to create energy choice, which would lead to the opportunity for consumers to have direct access to clean energy. Despite the challenges, including utilities marketing against the change, an understanding was developed that utilities have to do better for their customers. In the end, the goal of providing more options for consumers was accomplished. Sharing sustainability experience Adam left one of the best jobs in the industry in his role at Switch, where he had a massive impact on the company, community, state, and renewable energy overall. He was able to be at the forefront of the transition in the C&I space to a focus that was more on sustainability. What Adam loved doing at Switch was helping to build the momentum for that movement. Now he has accepted a position with a start-up, Ledger8760. Because he was so fortunate to be involved with incredible sustainability projects, he felt the need to move to share his experience with other companies. Going into a start-up space provides Adam with the opportunity to help many companies do what they could do at Switch. It's a continuation of Adam's mission for sustainability. As the cost of renewables and storage comes down, more and more C&I customers are finding opportunities to transition to using more renewable energy. Both the economics and sustainability goals are aligned. However, simply using renewable energy is no longer enough. Now the focus is on what that renewable energy means regarding the impact of a C&I, or any end-user, on the world. Accurate data for achieving goals Ledger8760 aims to measure energy and emission Scope 1, 2, and 3 in real-time on an hour-by-hour basis so that companies can precisely understand and target their emissions. Many companies have no idea how they will accomplish their sustainability goals or what those goals specifically mean. Ledger8760 is there to create the starting line for companies who understand that improvement needs to happen. The most prominent issue organizations have getting started with emissions reduction is not having accurate information. A lot of the data they're receiving are estimates from public sources. Until an organization knows exactly where its emissions are happening, it can't accurately work towards the goal. Ledger8760 creates a supply chain of emissions that is equivalent to the supply chain of the actual product. The more organizations that get on board with this process, the more accurate the data on emissions can be for the end-user. With such detailed information, organizations can confidently move forward in their sustainability efforts. Full show notes athttps://odddadoutpodcast.com/third-times-the-charm-odo-197After a few abandoned attempts at this episode, I give a much shorter rundown of my experience getting Covid. I throw in an impromptu "What Adam's Listening To" about "Less Is Morgue." I plead for your podcast suggestions. And I finally give you my formal review of "The Unwritable Rant."Less Is Morguehttps://lessismorgue.com/"The Unwritable Rant"https://theunwritablerant.com/https://www.youtube.com/juliettemirandaThe “Unwritable Rant” is a monologue style, semi-autobiographical, storytelling show, hosted by author, Juliette Miranda. Every Sunday, Juliette cracks open a bottle of her favorite liquor and shares the many many many… tales of often alcohol infused crazy that just seem to encompass her entire existence. Whether it’s the trail of questionable musicians she’s dated, her mom the witch and dad the physicist (explain that one to me,) or her zany cast of friends, Juliette’s pool of WTF stories runeth over.Earlier episodes also began with a sampling and review of different whiskies. Although I am not much of a drinker, I will say her descriptions of the flavor notes of bourbons made me really consider trying them. If only to understand what the hell she was talking about. It’s just good dirty drunken funLook, if you can’t handle dirty words or mature content, this podcast is not for you. And obviously it is NOT family friendly. But if you don’t mind some foul-mouthed tales of sex, drugs, and rock and roll, I guarantee you will enjoy this show. Between the crazy characters, the ridiculous situations, the emotional swings, and the overall good vibes in the stories, there’s no reason not to listen to this show, unless of course you’re a prude. As much as I like the whiskey reviews and interview content as content, I just don’t feel like they necessarily belonged in this podcast with it’s regular stories. Either way, it’s a must listen from me every week. Adam Pike was one of the lawyers involved in the successful defence of the charge against Prof. Tim Noakes for replying to a lady on Twitter about the best way to wean a baby. Since then Adam has presented a talk on ethical behaviour of medical professionals on social media for the Nutrition Network, which is a spin-off from the Noakes Foundation. I had a fascinating chat with him about what constitutes ethical behaviour on social media and we discover how the behaviour of Prof. Noakes did not constitute unethical behaviour (which is why he was exonerated) whereas the behaviour of Claire Julsing-Strydom, who was instrumental in bringing the charge against him, and the ADSA did in fact behave unethically in a number of ways in the aftermath of that fateful tweet and yet no charge was ever brought against them. We then went on to talk about how protected a practitioner might be if they are to disseminate advice on therapeutic carbohydrate restriction and the LCHF lifestyle. We are working really hard to establish an alternative Standard of Care (SoC) for this. Part of that effort is to establish a non-profit called the Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners (The SMHP) which is due to launch shortly. You can learn more here. But until that happens, how protected is a doctor who advises their patient in this way. What Adam said was really interesting. If a doctor provides care that goes against the accepted SoC but they can show that they based their decision on solid evidence then they would still be able defend themselves in court if it ever came to it. Patient autonomy (or informed consent) is also critical here. As long as the patient is fully informed of all the options available with all the supporting evidence and they then make a decision on their course of treatment, no harm can be done and the doctor is protected. That is just critical knowledge that all doctors should have.
In our last study from Romans, we talked about how paradise was lost. We learned that Adam, the father of all humanity, sinned against God. As a result of his sin, the whole world was plunged into darkness. Adam's sin had dire consequences for the whole of humanity. As we move on in this chapter, we will see here how paradise is regained. What Adam gave away, Jesus bought back! This passage can be very difficult to understand. When it is read, it can seem very confusing. However, it may help to look at this passage as a series of contrasts. Paul is trying to show his readers the difference between what they received from Adam and what they have received from Jesus Christ. There are three great contrasts that are mentioned here. For me, they untangle these verses and make their teaching clear. I would like to share them with you this evening. I do want to say that these verse comprise the central theme of the book of Romans. Everything to this point has been working towards this, and everything after this point works away from this. The whole point is that where Adam failed, Christ prevailed! What we lost in Adam, we get back, and much more, in Jesus!

As someone with an extensive professional history in sales, I’ve seen my fair share of marketing gimmicks attached to companies with little to no genuine interest in the people working for them. It’s so rare to see businesses, particularly of a corporate nature, have such welcoming and driven individuals working at the helm, which is why I’m so excited to announce my guest today! In this edition of The Way Out Podcast the best Co-Host in the business has an exceptional discussion with writer and person in long term recovery Adam Fout. Adam's journey to recovery, like many of ours, begins in fits and starts before it takes hold in a way that's meaningful and enduring. Relapse is a part of many of our stories, and truly we can learn from them and use what we experienced when the next window of recovery opportunity presents itself. Adam's window flew open with the undeniable help of the hand of God himself when his brother fell gravely ill and with the push he needed from those that loved him most. What Adam did with that opportunity is the stuff that universally makes recovery possible and indeed sustainable; and the genuine and authentic manner in which Adam relays his God inspired, hope filled, and wisdom bearing story is nothing short of compelling so Listen Up. Today's guest is Adam Mendler. He is an entrepreneur, a public speaker, a coach, and a consultant. He is the CEO of the Veloz group. When you started the Veloz group, what was the first product or service that you guys went into? The first business that Adam was able to get off the ground is currently their biggest business-- Beverly Hills Chairs. When they first started, they had a lot of ideas for a lot of businesses and they started to push them. They spent their first year and a half trying to turn these ideas into companies. The time came when they couldn't do it much longer because they've burned through their savings. That was when they started to focus on the two businesses that were closest to being monetizable. What made your two winners stand out? What makes them special? In the United States, the largest office furniture company is called Herman It's a billion-dollar company that is famous for its signature chair, the Herman Miller Aeron Chair. These cost $1,200 a chair. It's the most popular chair ever made. Even with such a high price, companies really want that chair. What Adam did was, they came in and identified that they could build a business that caters to the customers who want that chair but don't want to pay as much money. That led to them selling refurbished Herman Miller chairs and refurbished Steelcase chairs from other top brands. Adam learned in business school that he should not create demand, rather he should address it. With his business ideas, he would be addressing this demand that already exists while also doing so in a differentiated way. That same $1,200 chair, he sells for just five to $600. That's 50% of the original cost. How did you port that idea to custom tobacco? You mentioned that they're pretty much similar. Are you saying that there's this demand for custom tobacco, too? With Customized Tobacco, Adam got their market wrong. Their market for Beverly Hills Chairs was small to medium-sized businesses that don't want to pay full retail. People that were looking for something that could help them save money. Foor Briarmont&Co., they initially built the business thinking that their core customers were hardcore cigar smokers. Those that love nothing more than to hang out at the cigar shop or their porch, or with buddies and just having a smoke. They couldn't be any more wrong. The hardcore cigar smoker did not like what they were offering at all because they were very loyal to their brands. That's not what Adam was providing. He was offering the experience of creating your brand and creating your custom cigar. Most cigar smokers don't care about that. Instead, the business resonated strongly with gift-givers and event planners. Adam's old design for his tobacco website was catered to their initial target audience. It had a more old school feel to it. It would make users feel like they visited a cigar shop. Support the show (https://tribe.leadershipstack.com/)
Adam Stoker has been in marketing now since 2007. In 2012, he got his first experience in marketing for tourism destinations. From that point forward, he knew he had found his passion. Since then, Adam has worked with destinations across the country to improve their marketing, branding, and use of technology. He is the President and CEO of an advertising agency focused on marketing for tourism destinations. It’s called Relic, and it’s in Provo, Utah. Adam started the Destination Marketing Podcast in May of 2019. After having so many amazing guests come on the show and share their knowledge, he realized he needed to curate all of that content into a book. This is his first time doing something like that and he’s really proud of it. Adam’s hope is to release a new edition every year, as the industry is always changing. He is a father of four and married to the girl of his dreams. Without their support, this never would have been possible. Adam lives in Salem, Utah. Destination on the Left is joined by Adam Stoker, the President and CEO of Relic, an advertising agency in Provo, Utah that specializes in destination marketing. On our podcast, Adam talks about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the tourism industry as a whole. He shares examples of creative marketing that has helped destinations stand out at this time. And he also explains what destination marketers can do to reach the right audiences at the right time during reopening travel. What You Will Learn in This Episode: Adam’s journey into travel and tourism How starting his career during the Great Recession prepared him to deal with the COVID-crisis Brands that have done an amazing job using creativity and collaboration to stand out from the crowd The impact of crisis on creativity in the world of destination marketing How Adam’s agency has used creativity to overcome recent challenges How Adam helped his clients navigate the unique obstacles presented by the pandemic What Adam’s team came up with to help clients stay top of mind in a socially responsible way How Relic approached its clients’ recovery campaigns How to access Adam’s worksheet to create a plan and implement the changes Marketing for Post-Lockdown Travel Adam Stoker is the President and CEO of Relic, an advertising agency in Provo, Utah that specializes in destination marketing. He is also the host of the Destination Marketing Podcast, where he interviews industry experts from a wide range of tourism focuses. On our podcast, Adam joins us to talk about the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the tourism industry as a whole. He shares examples of creative marketing that has helped destinations stand out during this crisis. And he also explains what destination marketers can do to reach the right audiences at the right time in the reopening travel market. A Resurgence of Creativity There is a whole generation of people in the destination marketing industry that has not lived through a crisis. Adam’s journey into the travel and tourism industry started at the beginning of the great recession, and it ended up being a blessing in disguise. Learning how to navigate a crisis is going to benefit you for the rest of your career because challenges will continue to arise. Ten years of sustainable growth has devalued creativity in the travel and tourism industry, but this crisis has forced brands to find new ways to stand out from the crowd. DMOs generally operate within a small geographic area with similar features to their competitors, so it is important to move past the first idea at the brainstorming session. From Oregon’s animated campaign to Nebraska’s “Nebraska is Not for Everyone” campaign, there is a lot of good stuff out there right now. Backs Against the Wall Times of crisis produce some of the greatest challenges DMOs will ever have to overcome. But when our backs are against the wall, we inevitably do some of our very best work. Since every single one of Adam’s clients was facing similar struggles as a result of the pandemic, the first thing on the agenda was to create temporary destination messages to keep them top of mind. The next step was to help clients create their recovery campaigns, which for many of them would be the difference between having a job or not having a job when everything is all said and done. Adam’s team produced some of the greatest work they have ever done during that time, and it will have a significant impact on their clients moving forward. We’re very happy to have Adam Jolley joining us today. Very soon, Adam will be starting with Survey Monkey, which will be a huge and exciting change for him. Adam’s career path up to now has been an interesting one. He started in sales, for a small EMI market research company that had only six employees. After ten years in sales with EMI, he went into leadership and became the president of the company. That was a great achievement for Adam and it allowed him to learn a lot about all the other parts of the work that the company was doing. What Adam loves about market research As a market researcher, Adam was always very curious about everything that was going on. When he became the President of EMI, he was able to learn many new things, about the business side, how to communicate, how to manage employees, and even about the psychology of the business. Throughout the time Adam spent at EMI, he continued to be driven by his insatiable curiosity about everything that was going on in the world. What small businesses should be doing right now Right now, as the pandemic is settling in, as the fear creeps in, and as people are starting to wonder what life will look like when it’s all finally over, Adam believes that entrepreneurs and small businesses need to be innovating. Pivoting The current situation with the global pandemic motivated Adam to pivot and start looking for something new. So he courageously went from being the president of an online sample company to a situation where almost all of his clients are full-service market research firms. At Survey Monkey, a 400-million dollar publically-traded technology company, Adam is a salesperson selling market research, concept testing, ad testing, and automation, to brands. Feeling fortunate With all the change he’s been through, Adam still has the curiosity that came from market research. He is optimistic and he feels very lucky to have had a choice, so that he didn’t have to compromise himself or jump into any old job, just to get through the rest of the year. Having been the president of a company was like a scarlet letter for Adam at job interviews. So he often didn’t even make it past the resume for many of the jobs he applied for. And the feedback that he got was always that those companies did not want a president coming in to shake things up at this time when everyone is unsure of what the future holds. Now, he gets to fuel his passion, stimulate his curiosity, learn something new, and sell to a different group of people, during a time when many people are being laid off and some companies are not hiring anyone at all. Adam’s goal For Adam, what matters is having an end goal in sight, and planning for his career, even though he does know that it’s very easy to lose track of the journey when you’re focused on the destination. It’s been a huge blessing for him to have had the opportunity to level and re-center himself around what he wants to do, and where his purpose lies. Moving forward, Adam now feels that by innovating himself and having been set up for the rest of his career, he will be better suited to what life will be like at the end of the pandemic. Living in the moment Adam thinks that there are business lessons that we’re learning right now that can set us all up for a better future. Although he likes to learn from the past and plan for the future, he lives in the present moment. And this moment is presenting a lot of opportunities for everyone to correct their course in both lifestyle and business. He points out that if we look into the past, or become nostalgic, we’re not going to grow, and that’s what is happening with the companies that are failing right now. The song of the moment Sima asked Adam to pick some songs that best describe for him a theme in our industry today. The first song that Adam chose was I Just called To say I Love You by Stevie Wonder because it talks to him very directly about sales messaging and...

A few years ago, I took a class at work called, “Executive Inspirational Leadership” – and as luck would have it, Adam Bryant, my guest today, was the instructor. The class was centered around inspiration and how to optimize your leadership voice to accelerate growth in the company. I was so excited to learn from one of the most respected and noted experts on executive leadership, and needless to say, I was not disappointed at the end of it. In fact, I left extremely energized and motivated to put in practice every piece of information I got - and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way after listening to my discussion with him.Today, I invited Adam to talk about the ways we can increase our leadership capacity and capability to be more impactful and inspirational leaders. He shares some of the insights he gained from interviewing hundreds of CEOs and underlines the qualities and skills he discovered in them by asking simple, yet powerful questions.Adam Bryant is the Managing Director at Merryck & Co. – a leadership development and executive mentoring firm – and he joined the company in 2017, after a 30-year career in journalism, including 18 years at The New York Times. In addition to his roles as a reporter and editor, Adam created the weekly Corner Office column in 2009 where he interviewed 525 CEOs and other leaders, over a decade. Self-Gratification, Self-Glorification, and Greed God’s creation is a gift that we abuse. Where Adam failed, Jesus won.Welcome to the Light of Christ weekly podcast. Light of Christ Anglican Church is located in Georgetown, Texas at MLK and University Avenue. We are a modern expression of the ancient faith. You can learn more about us at lightofchristgeorgetown.org. Today, we will hear a selection from Sunday's sermon based on Romans 5:19, "For as by the one man's disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man's obedience the many will be made righteous."Imagine yourself as a child. Maybe middle school. It's Christmas day. There's a gift under the tree. You open up that gift and it is a beautiful new bat. It's like the best that money can buy. You take that gift and that very day you go over to your neighbor's house, break in using the bat through the window, beat your neighbor and take his candy and eat it. That's sin. Is the bat bad? No, the bat is a good gift given to you. Sin is the misuse of God's good gifts. Sin is the misuse of God's good gifts. We see in Genesis that God created everything good, and he puts Adam and Eve in the garden to work it, to steward it, to receive that gift. But what do they do? They take that good gift and they misuse it. That is sin. Sin is the misuse of God's good gift. What is the baseball bat made for? Baseball, right? It's made to hit a home run, hit a base hit, or put a bunt down. It's not meant to beat your neighbor. What have we done? Adam shows really what all of us have done. “Because through one man's disobedience, we were all made sinners.” How do we take God's good gift and sin? Well, first we use God's good gift for self-gratification. For self-gratification. We were meant to be gratified. God made that in us, but we were meant to be gratified in using our bodies and the good gifts he's given us to love our neighbor. What is love? To seek the good of the other for their own sake. Love is to seek the good of the other for their own sake. Why did God make this world? Why did he make you?Why has he given you everything you have, including your body? So that you can seek the good of the other for their own sake. The reason he's given you the baseball bat is to play baseball. The reason he's given you a body and given you everything you have is to love others. But what have we done? Instead, we use that for self-gratification, right? Like the child who beats his neighbor and takes his candy, we use our bodies to not love other people, but to use other people and manipulate other people to get what we want for self-gratification. Not gratification because we've loved, but gratification at others' expense. Self-gratification. Adam sees sees that the fruit is good. He wants to be self-gratified apart from God's plan for him, which is to love. How do we abuse God's good gift of creation? Self-gratification and self-glorification. What does the serpent say to Adam and Eve? “If you take this fruit, you will be like God.” You know what's really interesting about that? What did God make us to be like? God. God made us to be like God. God made us to be glorified. But how? Adam and Eve were placed in the garden to learn how to love one another. That's why there was Adam and Eve, so they could learn to love one another and have kids and learn how to love. This is why God made us, so we could be glorified. We could become like God because God is love. But instead we chose self-glorification. “I'm not going to be glorified by God because I love my neighbor! No, I am going to seek glory for myself on my own terms.” If you were a kid, you ever play king of the hill wherever there was a dirt hill? You would try to be the one on top. You would try to be the glorious one on top. How did you get there? You push everyone else down. That's right. You give them a good kick in the face to stay on top. This is what we do, isn't it? We don't seek glorification by laying our lives down, by loving. We seek glorification by stepping on other people and pushing them down. Self-gratification. Self-glorification. What's the last way that we abuse God's good creation? Greed. Greed. They took it and they ate. Mine. Mine. This idea that it's mine, I can do whatever I want with it. I'm going to accumulate, accumulate, accumulate.“It is mine.” Is it yours? When Adam and Eve are put in the garden, they were placed there as managers, stewards. It's as if God has an investment account and he's placed you as the investment manager, or he has a small business and he's placed you as a manager over it. Can an investment manager ever say, "These investments are mine?" No, he's doing it for someone else. It's by God's grace that he's allowed us in on his work. We're part of it, but what have we done? We have stolen from him. We've said, "No, it's not yours, God, it is mine. I don't have to use everything you've given me to love. My body is mine and everything I have is mine. I can use it for myself. I don't have to use it to seek the good of the others for their sake. It is mine." It is greed. We've been made managers, but we try to take ownership. Here's a time for a little self-diagnosis. How are you seeking the good of others for their own sake with your possessions, with your time, with your talent, with yourself? I think if we're being honest with ourselves more often than not we are seeking our own self-gratification, our own self-glorification and greed at the expense of others. I am a sinner. I need a Savior to heal this heart that's all tangled up inside. We need a better father than Adam. A better example to follow. I am a sinner, but He is righteous. Here in this painting is Jesus in the desert place. He's the second Adam, and he's placed by God... Remember, the Spirit takes him into the desert. He's placed by God not in a garden, but in the desert. The desert that we have made because of our sin.The desert represents the consequences of our sin. It is the God forsaken place. God himself, God the Son goes into the god-forsaken place. Why? To undo what Adam did. Like the tangled string, he's going to undo what Adam did. How does he do that? Well, the tempter comes. What does he tempt Jesus with?Jesus is on a very clear mission. Jesus' mission is to undo what Adam did. His mission is to love, to use his body and everything that he has, all of his power to seek the good of the other for their own sake. The way he specifically going to do that because he's the savior, and this is what's unique to Jesus, is he's going to do that by going to the cross, dying and rising again. He knows that that's his mission, and what Satan is trying to do is the same thing he tried to do with the first Adam. He's trying to get this man off of God's mission to love. How does he do that? He tempts him with the very same temptations. Self-gratification. Jesus is there hungry, fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, and Satan comes to him and says, "Hey, you've got the power to do it." We know that, right? Because later what does Jesus do? He does make bread. "You got the power to do it. You're hungry. Turn these rocks into bread. Gratify yourself. Step out of God's plan to love others with your power and use your power to gratify yourself." Jesus says no. Then Satan moves to self-glorification. Hey, will you seek glorification apart from the cross? Look, Satan is actually advanced in his techniques here. What did Satan do? He quotes scripture. Just a little side note, you can quote scripture to hide your lust. You can quote scripture to maintain your life of self-gratification, self-glorification, and greed. It's something to remember. Satan says, “Look the scriptures say, ‘If you jump down off of this temple, that God has you completely protected.’" What does Jesus say? "No. You're missing the heart of it. I'm protected as I am walking in God's plan for me. Do not put the Lord your God to the test. I will not seek glorification for myself. My glorification will come as I love others, and it will come from my father." Finally, greed. This is where Satan is his most honest I guess you could say. He shows him all the kingdoms of the world. He says, "I will give you all of this. Everything. You can have it if you fall down and worship me." I think Satan's getting desperate at this point because it's so obvious. Jesus says, "Get away from me. We only worship the Lord God." What Adam failed to do and sinned, Jesus did and was righteous. Where Adam failed, Jesus won. He was always seeking the good of the other, always using his power for love, even to this cross where he poured out his entire life for you. I am a sinner. He is righteous.Thank you for listening to the Light of Christ weekly podcast. Let us end our time together with a prayer from the Book of Common Prayer. You can find the Collect for the First Sunday in Lent on page 605. Almighty God, whose blessed Son was led by the Spirit to be tempted by Satan: Come quickly to help us who are assaulted by many temptations, and, as you know the weaknesses of each of us, let each one find you mighty to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A jack of all trades is the master of none, right? We’ve been taught that it’s best to drill down on investment strategy and beware of shiny objects. But Adam the Brit has a slightly different philosophy. He believes that it’s important to establish multiple income streams across several different asset classes, taking advantage of opportunities to trade real estate and generate lump sums of cash quickly—that he can then use to expand his buy-and-hold portfolio and increase his flow of passive income. Adam the Brit is a season real estate investor with experience in nearly every asset class, including single- and multifamily flips, value-add multifamily syndications, multifamily buy-and-holds, ground-up construction, and triple net lease retail deals. He has invested all over the world, from Asia to Europe to the US, and his current focus in on syndicating shopping centers and doing multifamily flips in low cap markets. Today, Adam the Brit joins me to discuss why he got into (and out of!) multifamily buy-and-holds. He explains why he transitioned to retail and weighs in on the benefits of the triple net lease option. Adam the Brit also shares how he fared in the recession, describing how he came upon the buy in bulk, short-term hold and flip strategy he leveraged between 2009 and 2014. Listen in for insight around what differentiates the US real estate market and learn how Adam the Brit complements his primary investment strategy with a variety of opportunities! Welcome back to another exciting installment of Cinemasters of the Universe! In Episode 9 we see the Rise of the Cinemasters as they change things up a bit with the visual aesthetic. What Adam lacks in overall appeal and personality, Ron more than makes up for in technical ability and general likability. Our heroes kick off this episode with another round of “WHAAAAT??? You haven’t seen _______”. This time Ron is going over his experience with Tom Hanks and his crazy “Bachelor Party” antics, pre “Man with One Red Shoe” fame. Adam is giving us the low down on a nitty gritty cop flick with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider called “The French Connection”. You’ll have to see what these fellas have to say about their films of bygone era and whether or not you should check them out too. Then we get into our main event as always. The boys will be covering the films of SNL fame. This doesn’t just include the movies that have been specifically produced by Saturday Night Live but rules that Ron and Adam arbitrarily, but thoughtfully, put in place to determine an “SNL Alum” flick. For Ron it was any film with at least two SNL Alumni members in predominant roles. Adam skewed it similarly but his rules were any film that included at least 3 SNL cast members, former or present. To avoid overlap and give you a true top 10 from our Cinemasters, they each concocted a list greater than 5 so they could pivot on a dime and give you, the viewer, just what you needed. Finally we round out this episode with another installment of “Who Played it Better?” where Ron and Adam challenge each other to recast a film to see if they are up to the challenge of executing an award winning casting call or not. The boys really stuck it to each other with this round and it will be compelling to see how each of them handles it. I’m not going to tell you what they picked for each other, you’ll simply have to tune in and see how things unfold in this episode of CINEMASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE!!!
The Resurrection of Christ signaled the victory over death. What Adam started, Jesus ended. It is a critical Christian doctrine, and an historical reality.
Today our expert guest is Adam Capes, the co-founder and President of Getaway2Give. Adam is a social entrepreneur helping people create amazing vacation experiences, while changing the world of fundraising as we know it. Adam has been passionate about raising money to help people since was in first grade, when he had a backyard fair to support individuals diagnosed with Leukemia. That experience gave him a high he had never experienced before, and it inadvertently taught him that the act of giving is actually as psychologically gratifying (if not moreso) than the act of receiving. What Adam found is that one of the most effective strategies for fundraising is providing unmatched, memorable vacations. So, at Getaway2Give, they give people a white-glove concierge experience – a personal Guest Experience Manager helps plan the details, then a Destination Manager greets guests on site and makes certain everything goes as planned throughout the entire experience – in return for a charitable contribution that supports others who really need help. Although this style of fundraising has typically only been part of charity fundraisers, Getaway2Give offers packages to anyone looking to go on a great vacation, without doing all of the work that's often involved with going out of town. The Biggest Helping: Today's Most Important Takeaway “Start with why. Figure out what your why is, what your bigger purpose is, what you're passionate about, what drives you, and follow that. From not optimizing ourselves, to drinking alcohol and not being devotional, there are so many things blocking our consciousness as a society. How does drinking block our own self-awareness and personal development? What is causing so many people to be disenchanted, depressed and anxious? On this episode, I’m joined by my good friend, author of the Better Than The Binge, and founder of Renew Health RX, Adam Lamb, who talks about his journey of quitting alcohol, growing as a person and getting optimized. If you drink to intoxication often, you have a drinking problem. -Adam Lamb Three Takeaways When we’re younger, all we want is to be older and we tend to attach ourselves to the tangible signs of being older, and drinking is one of them. Unfortunately this has led to major issues with alcohol in our society. The pretty pictures you see on Instagram of perfect lives are just the results or even a lie about their lives. They aren’t the hard work, the uncomfortable moments and all the challenges. Proper medicine isn’t treating sick people, it’s keeping healthy people healthy mentally, physically and emotionally and that’s what optimization is. At the start of the show, Adam shared on his story and his journey, the recent surgery he went through and what caused it. We talked about why so many people in America aren’t devotional, and the importance of having faith and believing in something. We also discussed how social drinking is one of the biggest issues we have in modern society. Towards the end, we talked about hormone optimization, the importance of client follow up and how pharma and insurance have meddled and messed things up. We also discussed; The crisis in young men and the lack of physicality and masculine bonding What Adam has learned about life through his marriage How being parents changed us The importance of health forward therapy A lot of people in this world have so much anxiety, disenchantment, despair and self-destruction because they have misunderstanding of life and how it works. The good things in our lives; the success, the happiness and the health takes hard work, it doesn’t happen instantly. And when we rely on things like alcohol, unhealthy habits and being in denial about our need to delve into the devotional, we just delay our own progress and success. When we fix these things, that’s when we truly become free, and get the best results in our lives. Today is Adam and Eve Day in the Church. They are commemorated this day as saints, those redeemed by God, sinners saved by grace. So perhaps you can celebrate today by hanging an un-bitten apple on your Christmas tree. What Adam and Eve did, Jesus is coming to undo. They longed for what God had said they could not have (at least, not yet), and they took it for themselves. Thus they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, exiled from the Presence of God, at the tip of a fiery sword. Now that garden which was give to Adam to guard would be guarded by an angel instead. Adam had cowered behind his own wife. He clearly could not be trusted (at least not yet).As for Eve, the first bride and the first woman to be tempted by outward appearance, she was also cast out. And even though she would remain the mother of all the living, now her motherhood would be tempered with profound pain. It wouldn’t just hurt to bear her children; it would hurt much, much more to watch as one murdered another, and then to be himself cast out. It would hurt to watch heart break after heartbreak, and be able to do nothing to stop it (at least not yet).It is into this scene of disappointments and hurts and curses that the first good news is spoken. God promises even as he curses—indeed our God promises through his curses. Eve’s pain at childbirth, and her greater pain in waiting, will be the very means of her salvation. The hated serpent who deceived her and overcame her (as her husband looked benignly on), his head would be crushed by the heel of her Son. Her cry for help, echoing through the ages, would finally find the ear of God.The Virgin Mary is the new Eve, the woman who at last had a child, the Lord (Genesis 4)—She is the one to whom angels speak without flaming swords, to whom angels proclaim again the good news. But the pain promised Eve is not spared for Mary. Her heart would be pierced, and her family would be broken. But this child, her child, the Lord, is the subject of all the law and the prophets: He will crush satan’s head, he will forgive his murderous brothers, he will lead his people out of slavery, he will lead them through water into their inheritance, he will slay the great Goliath, and he will build for them a cosmic temple of living stones. He himself will be called out of Egypt (Hosea 11:1); he himself will be Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14); he will come again out of the ground like a sprout from a stump (Isaiah 11:1), in order to comfort Rachel and restore to her every last one of her children (Jeremiah 31:15).And in all of this, Mary will have a husband better than Adam. She will have Joseph—a just man, unwilling to disgrace her who seems to have disgraced him, unwilling to play Adam’s blame game. And then, listening to the word of God, and accepting his sacred charge, he will guard her, and know her not (at the very least, until the Holy Child is born). All of these are godly things, and hard things to do. Even if Joseph himself had perfect faith, and could see each prophesy with perfect clarity (even if he himself was empty of doubt), how do you explain your pregnant fiancé to your friends and family by telling them it is of the Holy Spirit, or how do you explain your decision to up and flee to Egypt (a hostile foreign power) on the basis of a dream (and messages from angels)?Joseph is an anti-Adam. He endures where Adam fell short. He refused to put his wife to any shame, even if she had deserved it. He is a model sacrificial husband and model adoptive father. But the obvious must again be stated: He knew her not. The Child is not his. There are various words for sex in the Bible. God commands, “Be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1).” Adam knew Eve (Genesis 4). Jacob lies with Leah (Genesis 30). Abram goes into Hagar to conceive Ishmael (Genesis 16).But it is interesting: there are important moments of conception in the Bible when none of this normal sexual language is used. When God opens Sarah’s barren womb and Isaac is conceived, the child of God’s promise, there is no mention of Abraham knowing, lying with, or going into Sarah. The same is true when God opens the barren wombs of Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel (Genesis 25, 29, 30). There is no mention of Isaac or Jacob doing anything. We assume, of course, that they did. But in these blessed cases, the Bible wants to emphasize, not the natural actions of men, but the divine work of God. (Cf. Peter Leithart, “Sex in Genesis”)In the case of Joseph, however, Scripture is clear: Joseph knew her not. Joseph is a saint, a faithful man, but the story is not about his action. For all his piety and righteousness, the story of Christmas turns upon what Joseph did not do. The child is not his.The Holy Spirit overshadows Mary and she has a child, the Lord. And the irony is that this Child, even as he held him in his arms, is Joseph’s guardian (Cf. Rev. David Petersen, Sermon at Kramer Chapel on March 19, 2009). He in that very moment was holding Joseph, protecting Joseph, forgiving and saving and redeeming Joseph. Jesus goes to his cross for Joseph, and for Adam, and Eve and all the Adams and Eves, living and dead—for you, in your doubts, your cowardice, your unfaithfulness. In this season, with Christmas coming, we sit with all the prophets and faithful men and women, waiting for a child. All those at least not yets from Genesis are here at last. Here we draw near to the Presence of God in his garden again. Here we serve God again, as God again invests man with the duties Adam lost: to be in his presence, to watch and pray. And here we see Eve’s tears finally wiped away, and Mary’s pierce heard mended with the medicine of immortality: the body and blood of the Lord—who at last is coming to un-bite the apple, undo the Sin of Adam—and to undo the sin of us all.

Adam’s vision reads as follows: I stand for a world where men can incorporate all the best attributes of masculinity and femininity in harmony in order to discover the best version of themselves. How did you get started doing the work you do? Adam has been a chef for a long time and in the past allowed drugs and alcohol to get the best of him because of the high stress and lifestyle of being in that industry. After being in the industry for upwards of 35 years, he’s watched young people come up through the industry and struggle with the same problems. These young individuals would have loads of talent and really excel at their positions, but struggled with using drugs and alcohol. He saw himself in them and began modelling and guiding their lifestyles. Find out more by listening to the podcast. Guiding Principle, Quote, or Mantra What do you stand for? When You Tripped Up Adam takes us back to a time when he received his first Executive Chef position. Within the same company there was a Food and Beverage Director who was thought of being an old school individual who looked at younger people as being sort of punks. Turns out, they ended up having a great relationship and was actually asked to mentor the director’s son, who had plans to become a chef. Adam described it as being a number of things, from your upbringing, social media, television, society, and more. We’re constantly bombarded with messaging that you’re not good enough and that you need to be a certain way, that it’s hard to follow any path. What Adam shared next was a huge eye opener. IN THIS EPISODE: We continue the discussion of the first level of the Spiral and its application to Adam. Each level in first tier is boundary driven. Therefore, humans attached to the Form of a level as an understanding of Identity. Adam introduces us to the 2 forms behind all other first tier forms; Good and Evil. We discuss Adam as the foundation of boundary driven thinking upon which the other levels evolve. A comparison is drawn between Adam and Israel. What Adam began, Israel multiplied. Here we note the relationship of the Law and Sin and Death. When boundary driven thinking is used for one’s identity, the resultant state is death or separation from authentic God/Spirit identity. We conclude today’s podcast with a brief discussion of Romans 8 and the 2 creations or 2 tiers. The first is in Bondage the second represents Freedom. Bondage is the entrapment of Boundary. Freedom is deliverance from that paradigm of consciousness into the 2nd tier or 2nd creation space beyond boundary. Boundary is a necessary role or function but it cannot be used for Identity. https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/mindpump3 Meet the guys from . For the second time, the hosts Sal, Adam, Justin and Doug traveled all the way up from San Jose to descend upon my my house in Spokane, Washington to record this podcast. Our previous episodes include: -. - These guys claim to “pull back the curtain on the mythology, snake oil and pseudo-science that pervades the fitness industry and present science-backed solutions that result in increased muscular development and performance while simultaneously emphasizing health.” And as you can see below, they seem to have the body composition and transformation equation pretty well figured out. They include: Sal DiStefano… Sal was 14 years old when he touched his first weight and from that moment he was hooked. Growing up asthmatic, frequently sick and painfully skinny, Sal saw weightlifting as a way to change his body and his self-image. In the beginning, Sal’s body responded quickly to his training but then his gains slowed and then stopped altogether. Not one to give up easily, he began reading every muscle building publication he could get his hands on to find ways to bust through his plateau. He read Arnold’s Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding, Mentzer’s Heavy Duty, Kubrick’s Dinosaur Training, and every muscle magazine he could find; Weider’s Muscle and Fitness, Flex, Iron Man and even Muscle Media 2000. Each time he read about a new technique or methodology he would test it out in the gym. At age 18 his passion for the art and science of resistance training was so consuming that he decided to make it his profession and become a personal trainer. By 19 he was managing health clubs and by 22 he owned his own gym. After 17 years as a personal trainer he has dedicated himself to bringing science and TRUTH to the fitness industry. Adam Schafer… Adam Schafer is a IFBB men's physique Pro and fitness expert. Adam made his entrance into the fitness world 14 years ago and has continued to send shock waves throughout the community ever since. He is a man of many talents who wears many hats. He is first and foremost a certified fitness expert who has an insatiable desire to help people in need of major lifestyle changes and daily accountable motivation. He is also incredibly driven entrepreneur and business minded individual with a vision that continually challenges his colleagues and peers to think bigger and achieve more. Justin Andrews… Justin has an incredible passion to disrupt the personal training industry and create ground breaking programs and tools that fitness professionals and clients alike can benefit from. The fitness industry in general needs a massive face lift to speak more to the generation growing up with a more advanced technology tool kit. Justin’s approach is to create programs that utilize technology as it advances and cut through the millions of options people face everyday when seeking specific information relating to their fitness needs. The great thing about where we are today is how easy it is to access information, the bad part about accessing all this information is how much misinformation is out there to weed through. As a health and fitness professional with a proven track record here in the heart of the Silicon Valley, Justin Andrews will keep working tirelessly to keep people educated and connected to quality personal trainers long into the future. Doug Egge… Doug received his first gym membership as a gift from his dad when he was 16 years old. Rocky III had just come out and he was determined to build a body like Stallone. It never happened. Despite following the advice of muscle magazines and busting his butt in the gym, Doug saw minimal gains over the next 30 years. Then he was introduced to Sal Di Stefano by his chiropractor who recommended he work with Sal to eliminate muscle imbalances that were causing lower back issues. Sal's unique approach, often 180 degrees different from what Doug had read in books and magazines, produced more results in a matter of months than he had experienced in the 30 years prior. Doug with an extensive marketing and media production background, recognized Sal's unique gift and perspective was missing from the fitness world and suggested that they should join forces. Doug and Sal have since produced life-altering programs such as the No BS 6-Pack Formula and MAPS Anabolic. Doug is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Adam and Justin as Producer of MindPump. During our discussion, you'll discover: -The craziest biohacks in Ben's office...[5:35] -Why Adam has six eggs for breakfast, along with tons of avocados and bacon, and how his body responded to that when he switched to it from a "high carb" bodybuilding diet...[17:40] -What Adam recommends for stacking with testosterone to avoid things like man boobs and excess estrogen...[24:30] -The difference between THC strains now and THC strains of long ago...[31:40] -The seven secret ingredients in Ben's go-to custom sleep edible that he makes...[33:25] -Why Sal uses a special form of broccoli in his go-to meal, and what it does to his body...[40:00] -Which produce to buy organic, and which not to worry about buying organic...[53:35] -The unconventional, go-to travel workouts each guy from Mindpump uses to stay fit when on the road...[54:25] -What you cran mix with THC or Kratom to make either of these plant-based medicines far more potent...[46:40] -What is the newest MAPS program and how does it work? Adam Franklin runs Australia's top business blog, BlueWire Media. His business started out strong as a web design agency and evolved into an online marketing agency. They had a team of 10 full-time employees and a business model with unpredictable cash flow. Things were running strong when their clients began 'suspending' their monthly payments. Cash flow shriveled up. Without cash on hand, he had to do the hardest thing any business owner has to do, lay people off. And that's when they began to evolve into his current business model. In this episode we discuss: How Adam started BlueWire Media in 2005 and sold websites without knowing a line of code. Why marketing your website is more important than the site itself. How consistent expenses with "lumpy income" is the worst type of business. How quickly bringing on clients, so you can pay your bills, leads to lower quality clients and higher aggravation. Why cash on hand is important in your business. It may seem obvious but this will drill it home. Why Adam felt successful for the wrong reasons. Why laying off their employees was the most freeing thing they could do, despite being the hardest decision they've ever made. How Adam leveraged BlueWire Media's new model by keeping costs same and getting more 'people in seats.' How their old model couldn't scale, and why that's important to you. Why Adam said, "There's always room to improve. You're never stuck on one path." Why it's important to evolve your business. How the things you fear most are often the best moves you can make now. What Adam thought was a failure turned into a blessing. Why Adam is proud of his mistakes now. This is a great show. If you've ever had employees, you'll understand the struggle Adam went through. Enjoy the show. We Had A Great Team, And A Bad Business Model with Adam Franklin

If you have friends who need healing or a miracle, email them this teaching. DESCRIPTION: Know that healing belongs to you because of the PROMISES in G-d's Word and the PROVISION of Messiah. THE PROMISES AND THE PROVISION FOR HEALING It is G-d’s will for you to be healed in every area of your life; and to maintain that healing: to walk in health! The most important thing to know is that you do not have to be sick. Yeshua (Jesus) came to earth to heal. He took your sicknesses, your pains, your diseases … and your sins … on him, and with his stripes YOU ARE HEALED. Yeshua’s body and mind took the punishment for your sins … his sinless blood paid the price to buy you back to G-d. What Adam lost by disobedience, Yeshua won back through obedience. Spiritual death … which resulted in physical death, as well as sickness and disease … was healed. The separation between man and God was ended for all who BELIEVE. Now … you can be healed. You have the PROMISES in G-d’s Word … and you have the PROVISION Yeshua made for you in His atonement: the finished work obtained by His onetime, FINAL, supreme sacrifice for your wholeness. If you want to meet the Healer, Yeshua h’Meshiach … Jesus the Anointed One … NOW is the time! Invite God’s Son, Yeshua, to come into your life by praying this prayer: "Lord Yeshua, I know that you are The Great Physician. You loved me enough to shed your sinless blood and die for me on the cross stake that I might be healed. I know you are alive. Please forgive my sins, come into my life, and be my Master. Help me to live for you, and take me to Heaven when I die." If you prayed that prayer and meant it, then you have eternal life and your sins are ALL forgiven. You have been healed in your spirit. Know that G-d has heard and answered your prayer! The Bible says, "Whoever shall call upon the name of the LORD shall be saved." (Romans 10:13) Notice, G-d did NOT say "may be saved" … "might be saved" … or even "probably," but his promise is: "Whoever shall call … SHALL BE saved!" If you need physical or mental healing, pray and ask the Lord Yeshua … The Messiah … the Son of God, to heal you … NOW! Or, obtain healing through any of the other methods God has made available: The Word of G-d Laying On of Hands Passover and the Holy Communion Anointing with Oil Prayer and Proper Mental Attitude Know that healing is yours because of: The PROMISES of G-d in his Word; and, The PROVISION of Messiah in His Work for you! [] [] [] [] [] Now that you know YOUR RIGHT to divine healing and health, G-d wants you to share this "Good News" with others so they can be healed. Many times people find healing as they are helping others to be healed. It is a spiritual law that "what a man sows, that he also reaps." If you have been blessed or received a miracle as a result of this study, email to: PrinceHandley@gmail.com Let us know, also, if you need prayer. As you lead others to the knowledge of healing and health through Messiah Jesus, you will be "sowing" for your own harvest of divine healing and health. A Pastor had announced that he would soon be leaving to serve in another city. The congregation selected a faithful member who had a good heart but who wasn't very good with words to present the departing Pastor with a memento of his years of service. The faithful member said something to the effect that, since the preacher had announced his departure, the congregation was anxious to give him a little momentum. The difference between just any word and the right word is the same as the difference between a lightning bug and a lightning bolt. When you're on the receiving end you know the difference. What the Bible calls Sin, men call minor indiscretion, What Adam did, we call sin. But what David did with Bath-sheba, we call moral indiscretion. God puts it all into one category and calls it SIN. The first chapter of the book of Romans tells us that sin...moral indiscretion to society...will eventually permeate society in the form of entertainment. In the last hours of earth's history men will mock the laws of God as they laugh themselves into hell. It will be Belshazzar and Babylon all over again. Except this time it will involve the whole world and will bring destruction upon all nations. The wages of sin is death. Christ died on the Cross for our sins. God takes the matter of sin seriously...and so should we.Paul Graham
