Facebook for real estate agents? It can be powerful for building your sphere of influence and for marketing. Hear insights about: How Adam first became a real estate agent as a backup plan, and how seeing his friends miserable in their careers pushed him to build a career How Adam staked out his own path by exploring the power of Facebook for real estate agents for both his marketing and to build his sphere of influence Why Adam chose to focus on Facebook rather than LinkedIn or Instagram, and what benefits he gets from Facebook that he can't find elsewhere Why consistent branding and posting on Adam's Facebook page is crucial for helping him build his reputation and influence Why successful use of Facebook in real estate involves focusing on messaging that moves the needle for your business What Adam's business looks like today versus when he started, and what goals and growth plans he has set for the coming year Why Facebook for real estate agents is an ideal platform due to its enormous user base, which creates a powerful “unlimited audience” How a developed and fleshed-out content calendar helps Adam continue creating content for Facebook without scrambling for ideas Why Adam occasionally posts personal content on his page to boost his business posts by satisfying Facebook's engagement algorithm Facebook for Real Estate Agents Facebook can be a powerful engagement tool for building your brand, forging relationships, marketing your business and speaking directly with clients. In this week's episode of the Pursuing Freedom podcast, real estate agent and Facebook expert Adam Sheets shares how he has built a thriving business in just six years fueled almost entirely by the incredible reach of Facebook's powerful social media platform. While Instagram and LinkedIn are often the “go-to” social media channels, Facebook for real estate agents is ideal because its reach gives it a unique position that you can turn into an incredible lead generation source, as well as a way to position yourself as an expert in your area. Facebook for Real Estate Agents: Extending Your Reach As Adam explained during our conversation, he's only been operating in real estate since 2016. However, he has been able to find extraordinary success thanks to using Facebook as his primary marketing tool. Adam says the key is to create a content calendar and stick to it! That way, you aren't always scrambling for ideas for new posts, and that consistency helps increase your engagement. Creating solid content that is helpful to your audience is a critical step in the process, but so are sharing that content consistently and ensuring that it looks polished and professional. The Cost and Reach Advantages of Facebook Adam decided to join the family business as a “last resort”, but he quickly realized that being a real estate agent offered him a level of freedom he wouldn't be able to get working in a corporate job. However, he didn't want to do things the way they'd traditionally been done, and so he immersed himself in Facebook so that he could master its systems and algorithms. He quickly realized how inexpensive and powerful Facebook for real estate agents can be. With almost 3 billion global users, Facebook is the world's largest and most powerful social media platform. And Adam is an expert at putting that reach to good use! Today, Adam's business is booming after just six years, and he even spends part of his time teaching others how to master Facebook. If you'd like to learn more about Adam and his family team, you can visit their website at www.sheetsteam.net or visit them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thesheetsteam to see Adam's mastery of Facebook firsthand! About Adam Sheets, in his own words “I'm a college drop out that turned to real estate as a last ditch effort to make a career for myself. I run a team with my Mom, Brenda and my Dad, Marty. I had $1200 when I started so I turned to Facebook because it was the cheapest way to generate business. Now, over 97% of my business comes from Facebook and I operate a coaching platform with over 150 students. I'm a RE/MAX “Rising Star”, SWFL Real Producers “Rising Star” ranking in the top 500 over over 16,000 agents, Five Star Professional ‘Rising Star” and a RE/MAX Platinum Level Agent.” How to Connect With Adam Sheets Website: www.sheetsteam.net Facebook: www.facebook.com/thesheetsteam Twitter: @TheSheetsTeam Balanced Growth Course: Website: https://pursuingfreedom.thinkific.com/courses/balanced-growth

There are 3 Pillars to what I personally believe will shift someone's life and what I stand for which are Consciousness, Creativity, and Community. Consciousness brings you to the awareness of new ideas, ways of thinking, and ways of being. Consciousness makes us aware of the choices that are available to us. Creativity is the thing that isn't attached to the result. Creativity is the purest expression of your soul. It is the most healing frequency that you can bring through your body. It's your unadulterated, unfiltered expression and it doesn't have to be tied to how you earn your living but it gets to be part of your life. The third one is community and I think that it's very important for us to have a community that supports us along the way. - Adam Roa    Get 15% off your CURED Nutrition order with the code WELLNESSFORCE   ---> Get The Morning 21 System: A simple and powerful 21 minute system designed to give you more energy to let go of old weight and live life well.   JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP | *REVIEW THE PODCAST*   Wellness Force Radio Episode 394 Host of the The Deep Dive Podcast as well as Founder of both The C.R.E.A.T.E Community and Surrendered Artists, Adam Roa, explores the masks we wore before COVID-19, the 3 Pillars to being yourself, how to integrate the ego using creative arts, and how he has used his own trauma to propel him forward in life.    Are you experiencing a radical life change or are you craving one?    This podcast episode is divine timing as Adam discusses the power of freewill and manifestation during difficult times.    Belcampo Farms Get 20% off of your first Belcampo order with the code WELLNESSFORCE Belcampo was founded with a purpose: to create meat that’s good for people, planet and animals. Exploring the "masks" we ourselves wore even before COVID-19. Asking the question, "How often do we really look at, notice, and see people?" Why we crave to be authentic yet at the same time we are putting up our own walls around the truth of how we're feeling with ourselves. The fact that many people cannot openly admit that they are unhappy in their marriage, with their job, or anything else in their lives. Adam's own biggest "mask" covering his authentic self and how he was able to remove it. His struggles in high school not feeling like he was enough to be accepted by his peers. Why he saw high school as a game that he could play and work his way to being popular yet when he got there he never felt different about himself and his insecurities. The fact that many people believe there is an achievement that is going to change their world forever but then all their thoughts, feelings, and insecurities still remain.   [17:30] Is The Life We're "Supposed" To Live A Lie? Why Adam began questioning if everything else in life is a lie (college, career, money, things) if reaching his goal of popularity in high school didn't subdue his insecurities. How he helps people when they get stuck on their own mountaintop of achievement and still feel unfulfilled. Why we're not allowing ourselves, as a society, to even have a moment to give ourselves permission to take off our masks. Society's expectations of men and why you're not "truly a man" if you let your guard down, fail, or show your emotions. 110 Bedros Keuilian The toxicity in telling someone to "man up" and we need to be having more conversations about emotional intelligence, inner work, and just be more vulnerable. Why Adam openly puts himself out there with his insecurities and vulnerability to help other people. Struggles he has faced with depression, being molested at a young age, and being late to puberty. MyIntent Project The power of setting an intent and embracing a side of yourself that you don't give enough love and attention to every day.   [22:00] The 3 Pillars To Being Yourself How we can begin the process of choosing to give ourselves permission to be ourselves. Why we will always have the choice in how we respond to our circumstances and environment. What steps you can take to move forward, respond, and be resilient when sudden change impacts your life. How to use other examples of people overcoming difficult obstacles to manifest positive energy in your own life. Why how you respond now to a challenge will create the energetics of your next opportunities. How we can embody bad habits just like we do with good habits even if we have a beneficial goal in mind. Adam's own inner work journey which led him to an Ayahuasca circle and spiritual awakening.   [40:00] How To Integrate The Ego With The Creative Arts The beauty of humility and accepting that maybe you don't have things figured out and this is an opportunity to grow. The fact that we embody all of our current limiting beliefs until we work on them and grow. Why it's so important to integrate your ego because if you don't, the ego blocks the conscious repetition of embodying love, belief in oneself, and beyond. Steps you can take to healthily dissolve and integrate the ego without plant medicine. Why Adam believes that anything that can happen in a plant medicine ceremony can also happen without it. Exploring altered states of consciousness in and outside of plant medicine ceremonies and why these states are a necessity. Breaking down how 98% of our thoughts are ones that we have unconsciously had before and the vast majority come from a space of negativity. Other things you can do to get to a state of altered consciousness such as breatwork, meditation, yoga, or a hard workout. How music, art, and spoken word help us integrate our egos. The fact that true, sustainable change and shifts happen at the emotional level. How art creates a safe space for people to process and share their trauma and how you can equip your children with this tool. Why, unless you're leading with compassion, you won't change a thing on your healing journey. How Adam sees compassion as a way for us to externalize our self love. Why some people including his ex-girlfriend feel that they cannot be as open about their thoughts, beliefs, and emotions like Adam can. His empathy for people who feel like they cannot express themselves and how much they must be hurting because of it. Why we cannot truly have compassion for others until we have compassion for ourselves first. Why you have to feel worthy of the thing you want to call into your life from a place of self-love. The fact that sometimes we have to unlearn things that cut us off from self-love and compassion.   [58:30] Understanding Our Karmic Patterns, Purpose, and Desires Programmed life expectations that Josh learned at an early age that he had to learn to let go of: expect the worst to happen, money causes pain, and people can't be trusted. Why Adam believes that we never actually conquer programmed thoughts, beliefs, and feelings. How Adam views karma not as a cosmic scorecard but what your soul has agreed to including the particular limiting beliefs and wounds that you will take on in this lifetime that will become the edges of your comfort zone. Exploring God's love for us and how we are expressions of that love as we exercise our desires by being in alignment through our work on earth. Paul Chek | All Is God Marci Lock Why writing has become one of the biggest ways for Adam to process his thoughts and emotions. A writing practice for you by answering this question: What is the absolute worst case scenario that you are afraid of right now? Can I be okay with that reality? Adam's own worst case scenario and why he has those fears because he was concerned with how people would view him. How we can change our energy towards what fears frighten us the most by making peace with that possibility and run towards the vision that we want to create for ourselves.   [1:13:30] How Trauma Reveals Our Strength Exploring capital 'T' trauma and Adam's own suppressed memories. JV Crum III Why we might not be 50, 60 years old until possible suppressed memories come back to the surface for us. What it was like for Josh growing up and not knowing what it means to truly love yourself. How to integrate either lower 't' or capital 'T' trauma if and when they come up. The difference between turning your breakdown into a breakthrough and assigning your breakthrough to your breakdown. How we create even more trauma by believing that's how we create our strength. What it means to fully accept and love your trauma compared to tethering it to your strength to create a storyline of victimhood and give it value. Why constant breakdowns and breakthroughs are not the right way to grow and be strong souls. The power of choice we all have in how we respond to our trauma and past abuse. How trauma does not give us strength but reveals our strength. Law of Attraction: How it works and why it does not bring us trauma and abuse.   [1:26:30] How To Properly Process Trauma & Emotions How a person can begin to process their trauma alone or with the help of someone else. Why so many "coaches" and "mentors" out there are just great at recycling content and at marketing their business. His belief that our bodies and souls will heal on their own in direct correlation with how safe they feel. Why facilitation is incredibly beneficial to help someone heal and why he doesn't overvalue his role in the process. How to find a safe place for you to heal whether that is by yourself at home, out in nature, or somewhere else with a group. The fact that so many people are not in safe place at home during lockdown with their abusers. Why we will be dealing with the mental and emotional health damages of COVID-19 for a very long time. What to do if you're so uncomfortable with being left alone with your emotions. Why the goal is not to move through all of your emotions in one moment but over time. Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma by Peter A. Levine Come to terms that healing is actually a lifelong job; there's no fast pass or quick fix for it. What would happen if we switched our focus from healing to learning, being creative, and playing?     [1:47:00] Tools To Cultivate A Healthy Mind His words of advice for people struggling with mental health and mental illness. Different practices for journaling where you call in your ancestors or the cosmos and allow yourself to write as a vessel for that. The three different ways that Adam enjoys journaling: factual, philosophical exploration, and opening yourself up to be a vessel. Cosmic Philosophy: A Month In The Light by Adam Roa How Adam as opened himself up as a vessel for writing and has shared that experience in his book, Cosmic Philosophy. The power of giving your thoughts and emotions a voice to help you process them and how that was one of the deepest ways that Adam was able to manage his depression. How it took Josh two years to work through and heal the PTSD and OCD he received from a plant medicine ceremony. Why so many people ask him what self-love really is and his thoughts on it today. How to start investing in a relationship with yourself to help you create greater self-love and attract the life that you want from the universe. Why heartbreak can be one of the most impactful experiences that keeps us from greater awareness, consciousness, and personal growth. breathwork.io M21 Wellness Guide Wellness Force Community     Power Quotes From The Show Are You Being True To You?   "The day that everyone started face masks I asked myself, 'How much do we really see someone?' Even if they're walking down the street and I notice them, do I really see them? In society, people are craving authenticity and yet at the same time putting up their own walls around the truth of how they're feeling with themselves. So many people are not being honest with themselves about the fact that they're unhappy in their marriage or their job or where they live or they feel really lonely or whatever it is." - Adam Roa   You Don't Need A Breakdown For A Breakthrough   "You're not strong because of your trauma. You're strong because of how you responded to the trauma which was your inherit birthright of divine strength and spirit. The human spirit is unbelievable! So, why would I tether my strength to that trauma? I'm going to say, 'No.' I brought my strength to respond to that trauma and that is what turned me into this person. Because I used my spirit. I used my strength. I used my courage. I used all of me to work through that trauma and it shaped me in this way but I didn't need that. That didn't have to happen for me to be inherently strong and capable and worthy. If that were the case, we would be intentionally inflicting it upon everyone because it would be a necessity but it's not. The breakdown isn't the only way we to grow and get the breakthrough. You can find the breakthrough differently and we need to stop assigning our strengths to our traumas and woundings." - Adam Roa   What You Resist Persists     "If you really go into your worst case scenario of what could happen and just make peace with that possibility - what we resists persists - and so you're no longer in resistance to that scenario. If it happens, it happens and you can still do everything you can to not go in that direction. That's not going to change but the energy changes. You're now not running away from your worst case scenario but running towards the vision you have for yourself." - Adam Roa     Links From Today's Show  The Deep Dive Podcast with Adam Roa The CREATE Community MASKS | Spoken Word Poetry by Adam Roa You Are Who You've Been Looking For by Adam Roa Surrendered Artist 311 | Adam Roa: The Intersection Of Art And Personal Development Treat Yourself Like Someone You Love by Adam Roa Cosmic Philosophy: A Month In The Light by Adam Roa MyIntent Project Adam Roa - Why The Law Of Attraction Isn't Working For You Abraham Hicks Tai Lopez 092 Preston Smiles and Alexi Panos Paul Chek | All Is God Marci Lock JV Crum III Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma by Peter A. Being a parent to a teen can feel almost as tumultuous as being in adolescence itself. This crucial developmental stage where children are supposed to experiment and explore can be conflict-ridden when parents respond in a critical, controlling way. According to today’s guest, Adam Bertoch, parents have to move past the idea of ‘stop behaviors’ and instead look at what ‘start behaviors’ they can encourage in their teenage children. This is just one of the incredible insights this Woodlands, Texas-based Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) shares with us. In this episode, we talk about the trauma that comes from unmet expectations and disappointment, which is something every human being will face. Rather than trying to shield our teenagers from this inevitability, Adam believes that parents have to be reflective guides, being transparent and vulnerable, and modeling healthy coping mechanisms. Adam stresses the importance of honesty over perfection, something a lot of parents struggle with. We also discuss being curious about emotions rather than judging ourselves for feeling whatever we may be going through. As the gateway into adulthood, the adolescent years are filled with inner conflicts, so we unpack how parents and teenagers can establish expectations of the relationships to meet their respective needs. The conversation also touches on self-esteem struggles and establishing value, dealing with addiction or mental health challenges as a family, and why anyone can overcome any trauma they have faced. Be sure to tune in today!Key Points From This Episode:Get to know Adam and what his Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor qualification entails. Why unmet expectations are considered traumatic and how they influence mental health. The purpose of adolescence and why experimentation and exploration are crucial to this developmental stage. How parents can understand the turbulent teen years and find a connection with their children.Adam’s five guidelines for parents of teens to consider. How parents and teens can get on the same page about their expectations of one another. Why a curious rather than a critical approach helps parents respond to difficult emotions.Questions to ask to cultivate a sense of curiosity about what you are feeling. The benefits of being honest as a parent rather than trying to be perfect.Avoid rhetorical questions; they usually evoke defensive or self-deprecating responses. How the levels of dependency between parent and child evolve over time.Trying to control emotions is harmful, so teach your children how to cope with their feelings.Navigating self-esteem issues as a parent while guiding your children through theirs.Tips on establishing value and building up your own worth. What the zone of proximal development can teach us about our capabilities. Why Adam believes that human beings can overcome any trauma. How parents of teens struggling with addiction or mental health problems should approach parenting.Acknowledging your limitations as a parent and sharing them with your children.Links Mentioned in Today’s Episode:On The Mend CounselingAdam Bertoch on LinkedInErik Erikson's Stages of Psychosocial DevelopmentTrue and the Rainbow KingdomBrené BrownZone of Proximal Development and Scaffolding

One of Bob’s favorite sayings is this: “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it sort of rhymes.” When it comes to financial trends and market behavior, it’s many times more true than most people realize. In this episode, we discuss the similarities today’s market has with the market conditions that existed back in 2009 — and what it could mean for the current big tech stock growth. We also have a big treat for you, our first guest, Adam Johnson. Adam’s newsletter, “Bullseye Brief” is something all three of us subscribe to and read weekly. His insights into what’s happening in the market and how to best leverage it for growth are amazing. His portfolio is up 30% this year already. Stick around, this episode is definitely worth your time. You will want to hear this episode if you are interested in...THE NEWS IN PLAIN SIGHTToday’s bear market turned bull [2:01]Comparing earnings in 1999 to earnings numbers we see today [3:40]OUR FIRST GUEST - Adam JohnsonAdam’s view on the markets - we’re roughly where we should have been had COVID never happened [9:40]Why Adam doesn’t care for gold because he’s about ingenuity and growth [14:26]The base case on the S&P 500 from Adam’s point of view [16:26]THE TIPPING POINTThe rules of investing [18:43]Markets tend to return to the mean, over time [20:42]THE HIDDEN FACTS OF FINANCE6 million trading accounts have been opened recently [24:50]U.S. companies are very involved in China, even its stock market [26:01]Global eCommerce is still only between 22% and 25% of sales [29:01]History doesn’t repeat itself, but it kind of rhymesWhen looking at what’s happening in today’s markets, it’s eerily similar to the 2009-2010 time frame. At the peak of the dot com bubble at that time, tech stocks were 35% of actively traded stocks. Today, big tech is trading even higher at 37%. Today’s S&P 500 is trading at 26X this year’s forward earnings, which is exactly what it was trading at back in September of 2009. And back then, the NASDAQ traded at 35X forward earnings and is trading at that same pace today. What’s the point? We just might want to consider what happened back then, after tech stock prices kept rising and rising. They didn’t stay high. They came tumbling down when the bubble burst. Are there lessons for today’s investors? Listen to hear how overvaluations and tech investing newbies may be leading investors to a similar downturn. Those who don’t know history are destined to repeat itLet’s take TESLA as an example of the craziness going on right now. Its stock is up 525% over the last 12 months and a Bank of America analyst just upgraded it. Chris just had a conversation with a client whose TESLA stock is up 80% but he’s hesitant to take the profits from it for fear it will go even higher and he'll miss out. What he’s failing to realize is that what’s happened to TESLA is not normal market behavior. When the tide goes the other way, it’s not pretty. We can see that investor behavior really hasn’t changed much over the years or through the generations. Millennials are still trading stocks that are up rather than doing the due diligence needed to make wise, long-term investments. It’s not as alluring to buy low because those stocks are not the darlings everybody is talking about. But it’s typically one of the wisest choices to make long-term.If not big tech stocks, then what?Like tech stocks that keep going up (and feel like they will never go down again), the current trends won’t continue to rise. For that reason, we want to be thinking about the next 10 years, not just about today’s trends. Our guest on this episode, Adam Johnson makes it his stock and trade to find the places to put his money that will accomplish growth long term. Currently, Adam’s investing in Biotech, Medtech, and Energy — and he has NO money in the big tech companies. What’s his result been? Admittedly, when COVID first hit, his portfolio was down 30% almost immediately, but it’s recovered completely and appears to be growing even more. Adam also believes that because the demand for oil hasn’t disappeared, coupled with the fact that it takes a very long time to jump-start oil production, we’re set for a recovery in the oil sector. He believes the equilibrium (where oil companies can both make money and can afford to invest in new wells) is somewhere in the $50 per barrel range, so there’s still plenty of room for growth if he’s right. During our discussion, you'll discover: -The effects of a night of poor sleep or more alcohol consumption than normal...7:04 Lower testosterone as one might expect Other activities (watching a fight, viewing porn, etc.) will elevate testosterone levels -How to gain a birds eye view of a person's overall hormone quality...10:34 Understand the story of your life: environment, history, genetics, etc. Phase 1: CBC, metabolic, lipid, DHEA, total testosterone, TSH, IGF-1, FSH, LH, PSA, SHBG, estradiol CBC is for overall health DHEA can be used to regulate circadian rhythm, overall health, rather than testosterone Free testosterone IGF-1 levels reveal sleep, stress, recovery; potential red flag for pituitary dysfunction High PSA levels may be indicative of prostate problems SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) levels rise on high fat, low carb diet Thyroid medication is one of the most overused medications Testosterone therapy is not intended to be a permanent solution Lack of sleep, stress, etc. affect the brain's communication w/ the body regarding testosterone production Many variables can affect estrogen levels, which makes it an unreliable indicator of hormone health There are no absolutes; everyone's body absorbs, responds differently -Why Adam only uses blood tests to quantify his patient's hormone quality...34:10 Trust factor: tried and true Other tests such as the DUTCH test are sourced out when necessary Every 6 months is the gold standard for the max time between tests Longtime patients are self-experts Potential to identify other health concerns when blood is tested regularly -What variables are tested differently for women vs. men...41:20 Pregnalone, progesterone; everything else is fairly similar Women typically don't take enough testosterone 30 day cleanse w/ low-dose testosterone cream yields favorable results Women have a wreck of hormones after having a baby Testosterone elevated to optimal levels helps everything else fall into place Low dose = 2.5-4 mg -Adam's preferred form of delivery for testosterone replacement...45:56 For men: 80% use testosterone cream (healthiest and safest means, no needles or gels) Doses can be adjusted based on where they feel the best Injections: split dose throughout the week It's one or the other (injection vs. cream) most of the time Consistent application of small doses is far preferable to infrequent larger doses -Why the vagina or scrotum isn't the best place to apply the cream...51:23 The best place to apply the cream is the back of the knee, forearms, or shoulders It's where the highest concentration of testosterone is already located Patients have reported imbalanced numbers after applying scrotally or vaginally -Whether increased testosterone levels can deleteriously affect one's overall health...54:08 Understand the tool before using it (similar to driving a car or owning a gun) Be healthy first before testosterone therapy Testosterone should not be used as a band-aid when you're not addressing foundational principles of health 90% of testosterone therapy is done improperly The ideal client is someone who's aware of their health, living a conscientious life, and just need a push in the right direction Hormone therapy will not compensate for an unhealthy lifestyle -About the peptide stacks recommended by RenewLifeRX...1:00:19 The These are written by RenewLife to educate their customers, both present and future -Why Adam wrote his book on controlling alcohol consumption Chronic biohacker (keto diet, intermittent fasting, etc.) Alcohol was always part of Adam's life; had an alcoholic father Went on an alcohol fast for 30 days, then 60, then 90, decided to never drink again There are benefits to microdosing on alcohol, provided it's not a "fall back" -And much more... In this episode Mark interviews Adam Croft and talks about the important and significant change in Adam's mindset that allowed him to become a successful best-selling author. Prior to the interview, Mark shares a marketing/release strategy tip from this episode's sponsor, Findaway Voices... You can learn more about how you can get your work distributed to retailers and library systems around the world at starkreflections.ca/Findaway. Mark then shares and talks about some of the comments from Episode 113 and reminds listeners of the chance to win a copy of Joanna Penn's PRODUCTIVITY FOR AUTHORS by commenting on that episode show notes at www.starkreflections.ca by Jan 31, 2020. Within that comment talk, he shares a short clip from a podcast he had started in 2006 (and then abandoned in 2011 after only 18 episodes) called Prelude to a Scream.   In their conversation, Mark and Adam talk about: How long it took to plan out the interview (based on both Mark and Adam being disorganized) The beginning of Adam's journey into writing - from school and then 2008 when he wrote his first book and 2010, the early days of digital publishing Adam's first book TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT, and the planning of the 10th book in that series How Adam spent 5 years floundering about and not really sure what he was doing in the early days The recognition of how his writing itself was a small business, and not a hobby - and how that led to an important and significant change The importance of changing his way of thinking, and bringing the business mindset into his writing The value of taking courses and learning, such as Mark Dawson's Facebook Ads for Authors course How a stand-alone book (instead of a series) was the first big breakaway for Adam, because of the dramatic and attention-grabbing/marketing hook: "Could you murder your wife to save your daughter?" (This was HER LAST TOMORROW) Questions, and how they need to be psychologically answered, as a log-line/hook for getting a potential reader's attention The tag line for TELL ME I'M WRONG: "What if you discovered your husband was a serial killer?" Adam's translated novels in Portuguese, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Korean The comparison between sending Adam's son to pre-school and the releasing of a novel (regularly considered an author's "baby") out into the world Trying not to have an emotional attachment to any novel, but consider it as a commercial/business enterprise The "imposter syndrome" that continues to plague Adam with each new novel release The two or three "life changing" books Adam has released that did blockbuster sales numbers, and the many other books which have done well, but weren't nearly as remarkable - and the candid nature he has always shared that How Adam deals with the ins and outs and highs and lows of the waves of sales trends in publishing The importance of preparing for the long term, which is an important element in the indie author mindset The value of "evergreen" and a solid residual revenue - The partnership with Kobo to have a few of his books translated into Dutch (for the Netherlands market with Kobo's partner BOL.com) The courses Adam runs as well as the Indie Author Mindset Facebook group Why Adam has created simple and short courses, but why he isn't interested in creating any sort of "super" course The more organic long term approach that Adam has taken with his writing business Understanding the multiple paths to success and how different roads work best for different authors The way that Adam balances his writing, his family, and helping other writers   After the interview, Mark reflects on something Adam said: "No book is going to sell a negative amount of copies." Of course, Mark manages to work in a reference to Monty Python during that reflection. Then he shares a coupon code listeners can use to get 50% off of any of Adam's courses, as well as a giveaway. (Use the code "STARK" at checkout to save 50% off any of Adam's online mini-courses) Mark then shares the opportunity for listeners of the podcast to win a generous giveaway from Adam for his course on Productivity for Writers. ----> Adam is offering one lucky listener a chance to win a free course. As we get involved in the real estate world, we start tasting the sweet taste of it: we discover the benefits and rewards it has to hack our income and we get amazed on how fast it can transform our environment, our perspective, and our network skills. Our today’s guest is Adam Adams, and he is here to share with us the uniqueness he sees in real estate, and how he manages to fix & flip on a much larger scale.  Adam started investing in real estate almost 15 years ago: After repositioning his first apartment community back in 2007 duplicating its value in only 12 months, he bought the first apartment building, leading him to walk the path he is walking today. For that moment on, he knew everyone has the big chance to scale up in real estate (even using someone else’s money) and discovered the uniqueness and power this asset class can bring. Above all, Adams has educated thousands of investors through real estate conferences, radio and podcast interviews including the Best Ever Show, Investor Army and the Investability Podcast. In this episode, our guest shares with us property classes from A to D and the differences among them, what can happen to rents if a downturn occurs and where you want to be investing time and money if this occurs. We learn from Adam how to get involved in multifamily investing and the secrets to shopping the right properties. He’ll show us what a midterm engagement is and how to achieve the ultimate goal: selling that property. Learn to manage modeling occupancies and vacant units on the same building in this episode of Income Hacker. “In real estate, you have the opportunity to scale up, even with others’ money. Being able to get into something with nothing down, I’ve never seen that with other asset classes besides real estate.” - Adam Adams   Podcast summary: 02:24 - The uniqueness of real estate and how Adam bought his first triplex with none of his money.  05:16 - The market crash and why Adam opted for the multifamily way. 08:41 - The boom before the bust: how a downturn affects rent prices and vacancies. 12:40 - Property classes: the A, B, C, and D is for drugs.  16:29 - How to raise 5 million USD like it’s no big deal while fix & flipping 200 units at a time. 22:00 - How Adam manages remodeling, occupancies and vacant units on the same building. 24:00 - On comparables, the importance of management teams, and how Adam always feels confident to fill a 22% vacancy. 27:00 - Secret shopping: how Adam does his research and obtains relevant data from other properties. 29:12 - A midterm engagement and the ultimate goal: selling the property. 31:25 - The eight roles and how you can get involved in multifamily investing with or without capital. 41:19 - Why Adam would start a podcast to keep adding value to others but still wouldn’t change a thing.   Connect with Adam Check out Real BlueSpruce’s Website Follow Real BueSpruce’s Facebook Page Contact Adam through his Email Real Blue Spruce’s contact info   Episode Resources Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. A jack of all trades is the master of none, right? We’ve been taught that it’s best to drill down on investment strategy and beware of shiny objects. But Adam the Brit has a slightly different philosophy. He believes that it’s important to establish multiple income streams across several different asset classes, taking advantage of opportunities to trade real estate and generate lump sums of cash quickly—that he can then use to expand his buy-and-hold portfolio and increase his flow of passive income. Adam the Brit is a season real estate investor with experience in nearly every asset class, including single- and multifamily flips, value-add multifamily syndications, multifamily buy-and-holds, ground-up construction, and triple net lease retail deals. He has invested all over the world, from Asia to Europe to the US, and his current focus in on syndicating shopping centers and doing multifamily flips in low cap markets. Today, Adam the Brit joins me to discuss why he got into (and out of!) multifamily buy-and-holds. He explains why he transitioned to retail and weighs in on the benefits of the triple net lease option. Adam the Brit also shares how he fared in the recession, describing how he came upon the buy in bulk, short-term hold and flip strategy he leveraged between 2009 and 2014. Listen in for insight around what differentiates the US real estate market and learn how Adam the Brit complements his primary investment strategy with a variety of opportunities! Key Takeaways How Adam the Brit got into real estate Excess capital from business in Netherlands House flipping, invest in office warehouse When Adam the Brit got into multifamily Move to US in 2001, love idea of passive income Self-funded 8 multifamily buildings in Houston Why Adam the Brit chose to invest in multifamily Looking for scalability Small, affordable deals available How the US market differs from others around the world Find real estate to suit any budget Low barriers to entry, favorable tax treatment Why Adam the Brit got out of multifamily Focus on more passive investments (travel) Retail more reliable than class C market The benefit of the triple net lease option Pass taxes, insurance and maintenance to tenant How Adam the Brit fared during the recession Retail located in strong market, performed well Ground up construction went dark Bought 50 houses in AZ for 10¢ on dollar (turn $1M into $3M in 3 mo.) The conflicts of interest within embedded compensation models are well known, but how can you actually get away from it and maintain a stable and comfortable revenue stream? Today’s guest mastered his business’ transition to a fee-based model, and he’s on a mission to share what he’s learned with other advisors. Adam Chapman is a native of London, Ontario, where his practice is currently located. He completed his B.ACS at Western University, back when it was UWO, and has added his CFP and CLU designations since starting his business back in 2005. Adam focuses on retirees and people who are about to retire. He's paired this niche audience with a business model that has him focused on switching his services over to an almost exclusively fee-based and fee-for-service offering in the next one to two years. What You’ll Learn in This Episode: Why a young advisor like Adam is the perfect fit to work with retirees (3:45) Adam’s transition to a fee-based practice (7:10) Adam’s process for wealth management (17:15) The psychology behind transitioning to retirement (22:00) Why Adam has left behind the transactional model of financial planning (26:20) 3 compensation mistakes Adam sees other advisors making (34:05) How the delivery of financial advice is evolving in Canada (42:50) Links and Resources: Email Adam Quotes by Adam Chapman: “It didn’t seem fair that I have to take a pay cut just to do what’s right for the client.” “That fear of running out is what prevents people from using the money.” “If we can help clients step out of their comfort zone a couple times in retirement and do something they never thought they could ever do, that’s phenomenally motivating and powerful for me.” Over the last three years, Adam has entirely switched his practice over to being 100% fee-based. This unique experience, along with his insight into the psychology of retirement, has brought advisors to him asking for advice about running their own fee-based practices; today, he’s sharing these insights with you. Sometimes you need to step out of the design world to get a fresh perspective. That’s why our guest this week is Alex Berman. Alex is the chairman of experiment 27 and has a keen eye and insight into marketing that designers may find refreshing. Alex Berman is the CEO of experiment 27, and something of a YouTube star. Experiment 27 specializes in getting clients meetings with big brands and Fortune 500 companies. But on his B2B marketing YouTube channel, Alex dispenses amazing advice to anyone looking to up their marketign game. What You’ll Hear On This Episode of Wingnut Social [2:15] We can all agree that Natalie is vital to this podcast [5:31] Why Adam is a marketing wunderkind [6:50] Adam’s first step to generating leads [8:08] How to game a directory [10:40] How Alex would try to game his rankings if he was a designer [16:05] Find the best channel for your business [18:40] Restaging an old project [23:52] You have to be sure you’re speaking to your ideal client [27:40] How to charge more [30:40] How to use past clients to generate leads [33:28] Whut up, Wingnut? Connect with Alex Berman Alex Berman on YouTube Epic Mail Machine Resources & People Mentioned Upwork Onward by Howard Schultz Wingnut Social’s services Quick tips to improve your marketing One of the first steps Alex would take to improve the marketing of any interior designer is to, as he says, game the rankings of any listing online. Your mileage may vary with this, but if you search your hometown and “best interior designer,” you can see what your potential clients will see when they’re looking for someone to work on their home. Now Houzz and Yelp may be controversial in the design world, but if those two sites are coming up first, then you want to get your rankings up on those sites. How do you do that? Alex, unsurprisingly, recommends experimentation. See if reviews raise your rankings, logging into your account, etc.. Scale your best practices Alex recommends looking at what has worked for you in the past. That might mean working more closely with realtors, or it might mean working more closely with contractors. But if you take your best clients, and look at how you got in touch with them, you’re building a blueprint for your marketing. And then ask those clients if they would be willing to make a custom video testimonial for your company. The results, Alex says, are staggering. The Wingnut Social Podcast has already definitively answered the question “Is Blogging Dead?” with a resounding no. High Point Market Good to Great Is Blogging Dead? The Importance of Networking Bolster Your Presence by Creating Community Get your Audible Free Trial! What is a design influencer? For years, Adam Japko ran the Design Bloggers Conference. But what he realized was that many great people whom he would love to have at the conference didn’t attend because they didn’t technically consider themselves a blogger. So he’s changed the name to the Design Influencers Conference, to encompass all of the ways designers and design enthusiasts express themselves these days. One of the fascinating things that Adam said about become a design influencer is that you don’t have to have thousands upon thousands of followers in order to be an influencer. An influencer could just be someone with a small following who is respected by other influencers, or is in a particular niche. So just because you haven’t hit the “k” mark on Instagram doesn’t mean you can’t be an influencer. It’s not a pulpit, it’s a platform When you share your authentic self and your authentic work and opinions online, people are attracted to that. And as Adam Japko says on this week’s episode, blogging and social media can no longer be thought of as a “pulpit,” but rather a platform. So the goal is to share your authentic self, but to do so in a way that is shareable and can be engaged around. Of course you’re going to be competitive when you start blogging or start growing your social. But as Adam says, when you go to a conference like his Design Influencers Conference, it’s less about competition and more about community. Suddenly you’re meeting people whom you look up to, and you’re not seeing them as competition, you’re seeing them as peers. Business Coaching with Join Up Dots

Decision making is hard, especially when you dont have all the information. But todays guest is a decision making master. He is the co-founder and CEO of Hireology. His mission to help business owners make better hiring decisions using predictive data and innovative technology. What this means, as far as I can see, and I am sure that our guest will tell me I am right or wrong on the show is instead of sitting down with someone and using the gut feeling of "I like this person, I could see them doing a good job in this company" you attract the right people by using cutting edge technology. Sending job positions through to mobile phones, attracting potential employees to your own bespoke company job board, wannabe employees do a series of tailored tests before even stepping foot in your business. You have the ability to take much of the manpower away from finding the good guys. And with old style hiring processes sitting at a miserable 50% success rate in finding the type of employees and company really wants then...you can see his mission to change things is needed across the world. Now personally you can see that today's guest has always been driven to change things for the better, he is nothing but driven (and of course very very busy it seems) After living in suburban Atlanta for 10 years, his family moved to the suburbs of Chicago in 1990 where he graduated from Crystal Lake South High School in 1994. He then received his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double-major in History and Communications from the University of Illinois  before earning a master's degree in business administration from DePaul University, where he serves on the Board of Advisors for the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center. In  2010, he even placed himself as a Republican nominee and challenged for the Illinois Senate, representing the 7th district in the Chicago area. So where did he ignite his passion for changing the futures of people, through either job recruitment or in the wider political sense? And did he struggle like most entrepreneurs to get the ball rolling, or was the need he was aiming to fill simply crying out for his skills? Well lets find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Adam Robinson. Show Highlights During the show we discussed such weighty topics with Adam Robinson  such as: Adam recalls the times in his life when he had no money, scrabbled around for two cents in his life, and shares why it is was so fun to be creative with his decisions at this time. We talk about the times when a business goes wrong, and why more often than not looking back you can clearly see the mistakes that can be learned from. Why Adam is a firm believer that there are no decisions that define your life. Make the decision, move forward and learn from what went wrong and right. and lastly…. We discuss how even the greatest product is quite simply a dead duck without marketing involved, and why this doesn't need to cost a lot of money. decision making is what makes a life.

https://bengreenfieldfitness.com/mindpump3 Meet the guys from .  For the second time, the hosts Sal, Adam, Justin and Doug traveled all the way up from San Jose to descend upon my my house in Spokane, Washington to record this podcast. Our previous episodes include: -. - These guys claim to “pull back the curtain on the mythology, snake oil and pseudo-science that pervades the fitness industry and present science-backed solutions that result in increased muscular development and performance while simultaneously emphasizing health.” And as you can see below, they seem to have the body composition and transformation equation pretty well figured out. They include: Sal DiStefano… Sal was 14 years old when he touched his first weight and from that moment he was hooked. Growing up asthmatic, frequently sick and painfully skinny, Sal saw weightlifting as a way to change his body and his self-image. In the beginning, Sal’s body responded quickly to his training but then his gains slowed and then stopped altogether. Not one to give up easily, he began reading every muscle building publication he could get his hands on to find ways to bust through his plateau. He read Arnold’s Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding, Mentzer’s Heavy Duty, Kubrick’s Dinosaur Training, and every muscle magazine he could find; Weider’s Muscle and Fitness, Flex, Iron Man and even Muscle Media 2000. Each time he read about a new technique or methodology he would test it out in the gym. At age 18 his passion for the art and science of resistance training was so consuming that he decided to make it his profession and become a personal trainer. By 19 he was managing health clubs and by 22 he owned his own gym. After 17 years as a personal trainer he has dedicated himself to bringing science and TRUTH to the fitness industry. Adam Schafer… Adam Schafer is a IFBB men's physique Pro and fitness expert. Adam made his entrance into the fitness world 14 years ago and has continued to send shock waves throughout the community ever since. He is a man of many talents who wears many hats. He is first and foremost a certified fitness expert who has an insatiable desire to help people in need of major lifestyle changes and daily accountable motivation. He is also incredibly driven entrepreneur and business minded individual with a vision that continually challenges his colleagues and peers to think bigger and achieve more. Justin Andrews… Justin has an incredible passion to disrupt the personal training industry and create ground breaking programs and tools that fitness professionals and clients alike can benefit from. The fitness industry in general needs a massive face lift to speak more to the generation growing up with a more advanced technology tool kit. Justin’s approach is to create programs that utilize technology as it advances and cut through the millions of options people face everyday when seeking specific information relating to their fitness needs. The great thing about where we are today is how easy it is to access information, the bad part about accessing all this information is how much misinformation is out there to weed through. As a health and fitness professional with a proven track record here in the heart of the Silicon Valley, Justin Andrews will keep working tirelessly to keep people educated and connected to quality personal trainers long into the future. Doug Egge… Doug received his first gym membership as a gift from his dad when he was 16 years old. Rocky III had just come out and he was determined to build a body like Stallone. It never happened. Despite following the advice of muscle magazines and busting his butt in the gym, Doug saw minimal gains over the next 30 years. Then he was introduced to Sal Di Stefano by his chiropractor who recommended he work with Sal to eliminate muscle imbalances that were causing lower back issues. Sal's unique approach, often 180 degrees different from what Doug had read in books and magazines, produced more results in a matter of months than he had experienced in the 30 years prior. Doug with an extensive marketing and media production background, recognized Sal's unique gift and perspective was missing from the fitness world and suggested that they should join forces. Doug and Sal have since produced life-altering programs such as the No BS 6-Pack Formula and MAPS Anabolic. Doug is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Adam and Justin as Producer of MindPump. During our discussion, you'll discover: -The craziest biohacks in Ben's office...[5:35] -Why Adam has six eggs for breakfast, along with tons of avocados and bacon, and how his body responded to that when he switched to it from a "high carb" bodybuilding diet...[17:40] -What Adam recommends for stacking with testosterone to avoid things like man boobs and excess estrogen...[24:30] -The difference between THC strains now and THC strains of long ago...[31:40] -The seven secret ingredients in Ben's go-to custom sleep edible that he makes...[33:25] -Why Sal uses a special form of broccoli in his go-to meal, and what it does to his body...[40:00] -Which produce to buy organic, and which not to worry about buying organic...[53:35] -The unconventional, go-to travel workouts each guy from Mindpump uses to stay fit when on the road...[54:25] -What you cran mix with THC or Kratom to make either of these plant-based medicines far more potent...[46:40] -What is the newest MAPS program and how does it work? [61:15] -The most shocking, intriguing, and interesting things the guys from Mindpump have learned from previous podcast guests this year...[71:15] -A special way to "reboot" your tolerance to weed...[73:15] -And much more!   Resources from this episode: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -. -. - Do you have questions, thoughts or feedback for the the guys from MindPump or me? Have you ever thought about the type of information your potential customers might need before they: Decide to start shopping for what it is you offer; Decide they’re ready to buy what you offer; And/or actually decide to buy from you?   Adam Sand, co-owner of a roofing company in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and my guest today on The Art of Paid Traffic, has seen massive growth in his business recently.  Growth that really started when he started using Facebook ads with a value-first marketing approach. Meaning, he leads with (free) valuable and helpful information for potential customers. Think about it… Roofing is a several thousand dollar expense.  If you own a roofing company, or sell any high-ticket product or service, you’re not going to sell directly from your ads You have to build trust and be seen as an authority first before people will want to work with you. Using this education-based marketing approach with Facebook ads, Adam has grown his business by 40% in three months.  40% in three months selling several thousand dollar roofs!   And, he’s attracting more business now than he can handle. Not a bad problem to have, if you ask me  This is why I wanted to have him on the podcast -- to learn more about Adam’s super smart approach to using Facebook Ads to grow his business. I have no doubt that this episode will inspire both local and online business-owners to consider this smart approach to using Facebook Ads to skyrocket your sales through value first. Adam Franklin runs Australia's top business blog, BlueWire Media. His business started out strong as a web design agency and evolved into an online marketing agency. They had a team of 10 full-time employees and a business model with unpredictable cash flow. Things were running strong when their clients began 'suspending' their monthly payments. Cash flow shriveled up. Without cash on hand, he had to do the hardest thing any business owner has to do, lay people off. And that's when they began to evolve into his current business model. In this episode we discuss: How Adam started BlueWire Media in 2005 and sold websites without knowing a line of code. Why marketing your website is more important than the site itself. How consistent expenses with "lumpy income" is the worst type of business. How quickly bringing on clients, so you can pay your bills, leads to lower quality clients and higher aggravation. Why cash on hand is important in your business. It may seem obvious but this will drill it home. Why Adam felt successful for the wrong reasons. Why laying off their employees was the most freeing thing they could do, despite being the hardest decision they've ever made. How Adam leveraged BlueWire Media's new model by keeping costs same and getting more 'people in seats.' How their old model couldn't scale, and why that's important to you. Why Adam said, "There's always room to improve. You're never stuck on one path." Why it's important to evolve your business. How the things you fear most are often the best moves you can make now. What Adam thought was a failure turned into a blessing. Why Adam is proud of his mistakes now. This is a great show. If you've ever had employees, you'll understand the struggle Adam went through. Enjoy the show. We Had A Great Team, And A Bad Business Model with Adam Franklin
