They're extremely helpful when it comes to reaching our audience, and I read each and every one!Key Quotes & Takeaways:"You can work hard all year bringing in 120 new people over the year, and you'll end the year with pretty much no increase in your member base. Because that 8% churn rate that maybe you don't realize is 8% will mean that you are just hemorrhaging as many members as you're attracting.""People want certainty. People like being sold proven formulas. That's why a lot of dodgy Internet marketers do so well, because they stand up there and say, you know what, I've got this proven formula. You just do this, then this, then this and this and you're guaranteed results. And yeah, that guarantees not worth the paper it's printed on.""We bring you that community, we bring you that accountability, that place that you can go to that is safe for you to vent about that problem member and get a little bit of advice for you to admit, you know what, I'm stuck. I've tried all these things and they have not worked.""But more importantly, you have the room to be in. You have the community that will give you that support network, that will give you the sounding board, that will cheer you on and pick you up, give you their experiences, give you the benefit of their knowledge, share what they're doing and work together to ensure that 2026 doesn't just see one or two of us growing our memberships. 2026 sees us all growing and thriving."

Scaling does not start with tactics, systems, or working harder. It starts with how you think about the future. In part one of this two-part series, I share a powerful presentation from Dr. Benjamin Hardy given at Mastermind in Paradise right after the release of his book The Science of Scaling. This session goes deep into the psychology behind growth and why most entrepreneurs stay stuck not because of external limits, but because of the goals they choose and the timelines they attach to them. This episode of The Russell Brunson Show is not about what to scale. It is about how your future goals shape your present behavior, your decisions, and the systems you build. If you feel busy but not moving, ambitious but capped, this conversation will reframe how you think about growth entirely. Key Highlights: ◼️Why the future you commit to shapes your psychology more than your past ever could ◼️How Viktor Frankl's work on meaning explains why people lose traction without a compelling future goal ◼️The difference between linear growth and true scaling, and why most businesses unknowingly optimize for the wrong path ◼️How raising your goal forces you to simplify your business by stripping out noise, dead ends, and false requirements ◼️How “frame,” “floor,” and “focus” shape your ability to grow, and why raising your floor matters more than most people think In this first session, Ben lays the psychological foundation for everything that follows. He shows how goals are tools, not judgments, and how a bigger future helps you see clearly what no longer belongs in your present. This episode will challenge the way you think about time, ambition, and growth, and it sets the stage for the strategic decisions explored in part two. Stay tuned for Part Two, where the conversation moves deeper into execution, accountability, and building systems that can actually scale. ◼️If you've got a product, offer, service… or idea… I'll show you how to sell it (the RIGHT way) Register for my next event → https://sellingonline.com/podcast ◼️Still don't have a funnel? In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano breaks down the stunning takedown and arrest of Venezuela's Nicolás Maduro and why it may signal a major shift in U.S. power in the Western Hemisphere. Was this a smarter model than the failed regime-change disasters of Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya, or the beginning of a dangerous new era of presidential authority? Professor Giordano examines what happens next as President Trump says the U.S. will run Venezuela until a safe, competent transition is possible, the strategic stakes tied to oil and hemispheric control, and the constitutional and international-law arguments now colliding in real time. He also exposes the domestic political hysteria as Venezuelans celebrate while America's activist left rushes to defend Maduro, revealing how Trump Derangement Syndrome continues to warp reality.   Episode Highlights Maduro captured, Venezuela in play: why this operation was different, what comes next, and the risk of repeating past postwar transition failures Monroe Doctrine 2.0: how oil, energy leverage, and strategic denial of Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, and proxy networks reshape geopolitics in the Americas Legality and backlash: Article II authority, Congress's war-powers abdication, "international law" myths, and the left's bizarre defense of Maduro driven by anti-Trump obsession

High performers often assume burnout means failure. But what if success feels exhausting because you're divided inside? This episode explores decision fatigue, role confusion, and why identity-level recalibration restores energy without losing drive. Why does success feel exhausting even when everything looks “right”?Many high performers, leaders, and high-capacity humans reach a point where the life they built no longer feels the way they expected it to feel. There's no obvious crisis. No failure to point to. Yet beneath the surface, there's decision fatigue, role confusion, and a quiet sense of depletion that rest alone doesn't resolve. In this episode of The Recalibration, Julie Holly introduces a rarely named truth: burnout is often not about overwork — it's about fragmentation. When your nervous system learns to regulate by context instead of identity, you begin living from multiple internal versions of yourself. Calm in one room. Braced in another. Present at home, vigilant with clients. Over time, this internal division creates success fatigue, spiritual exhaustion, and a loss of felt coherence — even in a life that looks objectively successful. This episode explores:Why burnout recovery often fails when identity misalignment goes unaddressedHow decision fatigue is compounded by internal role-switchingWhy “being on” all the time is a nervous-system strategy, not strengthThe difference between flexibility and fragmentationHow success without fulfillment often signals identity drift, not weaknessJulie introduces Identity-Level Recalibration (ILR) — not another mindset tactic or productivity strategy, but the root-level recalibration that makes every other tool effective again. ILR begins with the who, not the how, restoring internal coherence so peace, purpose, and productivity can coexist. This conversation is especially relevant for those navigating:high achiever burnoutleadership fatiguespiritual exhaustionsuccess that feels emptypressure to perform across rolesToday's Micro RecalibrationYou'll find this in the Recalibration Companion, but here's where to begin:Where do I feel most like myself — and where do I feel the most “on”?No fixing. At the center of the conversation is the G-Center—the energetic home of identity, love, direction, and purpose. Nicole explains how strategy and authority aren't just tools for decision-making, but mechanisms that gradually recalibrate this center so you can be pulled toward the correct path for you. When the G-Center is misaligned, life often feels repetitive and resistant; when it's aligned, clarity and movement begin to happen with far less force. Nicole shed light on why conscious mindset work alone doesn't always create lasting change. She also discusses how deconditioning plays a critical role in shifting identity at a deeper level, and why Human Design allows you to refine and elevate who you already are instead of trying to become someone else. If you've been questioning your direction, struggling with self-trust, or feeling scattered as the year begins, this conversation offers grounding insight and a powerful reframe. Listen now! Dr. Alexandra Gajer: From Emergency Medicine to Performance Health Optimization

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Alexandra Gajer, a board certified physician who made a courageous shift from emergency medicine to the world of performance health optimization. Dr. Gajer shared how she reached a point of burnout even though she loved her work in the ER. Her story highlights a powerful truth that many high performers overlook. Loving your career does not make you immune to burnout. She explained why self care cannot be something we practice only during off hours, and how traditional medicine often focuses more on disease than on sustaining long term vitality. I emphasized how essential her work is, especially for leaders and professionals who want to feel energized and capable for decades rather than reacting to health problems after they arise. Optimizing Health for Career Success Dr. Gajer broke down a shift she sees in her clients. Success is no longer just about titles or income. True success requires a strong foundation of health. She explained how metabolic health plays a central role in energy, performance, and longevity. Small changes in how the body uses food for fuel can create massive improvements. She also covered the importance of hormone health and how people at any age can regain optimal energy levels. Dr. Gajer described clients in their 70s, 80s, and even 90s who continue thriving because they invested early in their health and maintained consistent habits. Health Habits for Peak Performance After 45 We explored why leaders over 45 must be proactive about both cognitive and physical health. Many people hit their 40s with more wisdom, capability, and clarity than ever, yet their bodies begin sending subtle warning signs. Dr. Gajer explained how burnout symptoms often show up quietly for people in demanding professions like healthcare, leadership, and entrepreneurship. We talked about why mindfulness, nutrition, movement, and regular health assessments are essential investments for long term functionality and longevity. Food Intolerance and Personal Health Awareness I shared my own experience with food intolerance testing and how it changed the way I look at nutrition. Discovering that I have a potato allergy, despite my Irish roots, and an intolerance to eggs, despite the egg in my brand logo, created some irony and a lot of self reflection. I talked about how foods interact with one another much like medications do, and why paying attention to how your body responds can be a game changer for overall well being. Whole Foods and Testosterone Health Dr. Gajer discussed the sharp decline in testosterone levels among men and why diet is a major contributor. She emphasized the importance of whole foods over processed products that are engineered to be addictive. Whole foods help regulate appetite, stabilize weight, and support hormone balance. She also highlighted the link between processed foods, inflammation, and cognitive decline. The message was clear. Your diet is creating either long term strength or long term struggle. Healthy Eating for Longevity We explored the consequences of poor dietary habits, including the rising rates of type 3 diabetes, Alzheimer's, and dementia. I shared why I believe medications like Ozempic are often used as a Band Aid for lifestyle choices rather than addressing root causes. We discussed how healthy food choices combined with regular movement help people maintain clarity, emotional stability, and resilience. When you take care of your body, you are better equipped to handle every other area of life. Health Habits and Daily Well Being Dr. Gajer emphasized that small health habits create major shifts. He noted that it is never too late to start making positive changes. We discussed the importance of consuming adequate protein, supporting gut microbiome health, and using daily rituals to reduce stress. I reinforced that when you strengthen your health, your performance improves in your relationships, your leadership, and your decision making. Inside Dr. Alexandra Gajer's Health Coaching Practice Dr. Gajer shared an overview of her health optimization practice, which supports clients nationwide. Listeners can book a free intro call through her website theguyerPractice.com. With my background in primary care administration, I deeply appreciate how vital her work is for healthcare professionals and high performers striving to stay healthy while maintaining demanding careers. Her contact information is included for anyone ready to take the next step toward long term health and vitality.

Oscar Barrera — How Business Anthropology Helped A Sourdough Company Grow

What if the fastest route to meaningful growth isn't about launching another ad campaign, hiring more salespeople, or optimizing your funnel? What if the real accelerator is simply listening—really listening—to what's already happening around you? In this episode of On the Brink with Andi Simon, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Oscar Barrera, PhD—a brilliant corporate anthropologist and innovation strategist based in Mexico. Oscar and I share a core conviction: anthropology isn't just something you do; it's a way of seeing the world. It allows leaders to notice subtle patterns—those taking shape in their markets, inside their own companies, and in the everyday lives of their customers—even when the clues are hiding in plain sight. Oscar's work drives home a powerful point: the real obstacles to growth are often hidden. Not because they're imaginary, but because we haven't been trained to spot them. Meet Dr. Oscar Barrera: An Anthropologist Forging His Own Path Oscar's journey is as unconventional as it is inspiring. He earned his doctorate in social and cultural anthropology at the University of Washington, with years of fieldwork in Guatemala's highlands. But like so many academics, he realized that the expected career path—university teaching—wasn't really available. So Oscar got creative. He returned home to Mexico and started his own consulting practice from the ground up. He learned the language of business by reading voraciously, listening intently, and immersing himself in the entrepreneurial world—joining business groups, building relationships, and cultivating a brand that helped business leaders understand how anthropology could transform what they do. Through his firm, Anthropology Corp Cooperativa, Oscar helps organizations unlock deep understanding about their customers, employees, and markets—then turn those insights into human-centered strategies for growth and innovation. He also hosts a fantastic podcast called Nuevas Posibilidades ("New Possibilities"), which explores innovation, anthropology, and the future of work. A Real-World Case: Sourdough in a Sweet Bread Nation Oscar shared a wonderful story that brings anthropology to life. A bakery owner in Mexico was crafting sourdough bread: wholesome, preservative-free, and free of additives. But he was up against a market where bread is usually sweet, steeped in tradition, and sold cheaply. Here's the twist: the bakery wasn't struggling with demand. Instead, something unexpected was happening—distributors (mostly women) were approaching the bakery on their own, asking if they could resell the bread in their hometowns. The owner's question wasn't theoretical—it was urgent: Who are these women, and how can I grow this kind of distribution model intentionally? As he put it, he wanted "the formula." Why Anthropology Was Essential Oscar's first instinct was to do what anthropologists do best: ethnography. Go to the site, observe, listen, and understand the full context. But travel simply wasn't possible. So he adapted, because good anthropology is all about flexibility. He used remote interviews—speaking with distributors and customers over the phone and online. And what he learned should be a wake-up call for every leader: People will tell you what matters to them—if you listen with the right kind of attention. Oscar was surprised that sometimes meeting online made people more comfortable. It was safe, structured, and time-limited—there was no lingering vulnerability once the conversation ended. Watch our Podcast on YouTube The Discovery: A Purpose-Driven Sales Network The bakery owner assumed his distributors were motivated by money. Oscar found something far richer. These women were selling bread not just for income, but because they: Had personal or family health concerns Wanted to support and uplift their communities Believed deeply in natural, preservative-free foods Had stories that connected them emotionally to the product They weren't just pushing a product—they were sharing a solution and part of their own identities. They were savvy, too, introducing the bread at workplaces, gyms, and local events. Tasting led to trust—and more sales. This was no "features and benefits" transaction. This bread was an experience—one that resonated with values and stories. Five Key Ingredients for Scalable Growth Oscar translated these insights into actionable steps. He identified five elements that would determine whether the bakery's model could truly scale: Shared values and philosophy: The top distributors believed in a mission: boosting health and helping people, not just selling bread. Time and logistics: Without preservatives and in a hot climate, bread spoiled quickly. Delivery schedules and pickups became hidden bottlenecks. Packaging matters: Flimsy boxes led to crushed loaves—hurting both trust and credibility. Social selling support: Distributors used WhatsApp and Facebook, but needed better tools and content. The company needed to provide easily shareable visuals and educational materials. Customer experience and sampling: People didn't buy from a description—they bought after tasting. Real-life sampling was the engine of growth. What I love here is that Oscar didn't need a formal operations report to uncover these constraints. He surfaced them by deeply listening to lived experience—by drawing out stories. Bigger Than Bread: How Meaning Moves Markets One of the most profound insights was symbolic. Sourdough isn't "traditional Mexican bread." Yet, through the personal stories of these women, it became a bridge: a way to enjoy bread as part of daily life, to choose health without abandoning cultural identity, and to stay connected to tradition while eating differently. That's not just good marketing—it's anthropology in action. Lessons for Leaders Everywhere Oscar summed it up beautifully: Success often hides in plain sight, in details we overlook. Anthropology equips leaders and companies to see what's invisible and hear what's unsaid. True innovation doesn't always mean inventing something totally new—it often means listening to what your customers are already telling you. So here's my bottom line: If you're chasing growth, don't just ask, "How do we sell more?" Instead, ask, "What's actually happening in the lives of the people we want to serve that we haven't noticed yet?" When you listen for those answers, real transformation can begin. And with the headwind we have in our economy, in our world, you've got to pursue every possible avenue to create a successful trajectory. And that means hitting all channels. If you are not investing in yourselves and in your organizations and your people, you're going to fail, probably. And the university… I can't think of a more beautiful, well-situated campus, meaning the business school campus, a set of buildings, and a group of more capable people to help host events, and a more capable group of people who can help bring material and content to the training than the University of Utah. I mean, I'm practically looking at it out my window. I'm facing north. Having grown up in, basically, in the University of Utah neighborhood, I have a real deep feeling of love and appreciation for everything that you do and the value you bring. And so, we, as an organization, you just wonder where we'd be without the benefit of having this university so close and all the insights, thoughts, skills, aptitudes that have come because of that. How Jeff's ties to the U and the Eccles School help sustain a multi-generation family business[10:02] Frances Johnson: I'd love to hear from you how your connection to the U and to the Eccles School has helped sustain your family business into so many generations.[10:13] Jeff Young: That's really a great question. Without the knowledge of how family businesses operate within the state, we've been able to meet dozens and dozens of other family businesses that strangely are also centennial-long businesses, and it's amazing to know that our grandfathers knew each other. Our grandmothers knew each other. Our fathers and mothers knew each other. And in current generations, a lot of them have gone through the University of Utah. And so, it's great to have the familiarity and that point of reference. And so, the business building in particular, we know where to go. We know who the people are, and it just feels like home to us. And we look around the room and see everyone else in that conference, and we say, "Yeah, we started here. We're still here. And we continue to decide to be here for all the right reasons." So, that continuing education and connection is vital. On how Eccles School equipped Jeff for success[4:00] The challenges we're facing today are much different than they were when we went to school. But the aptitude to want to learn, to apply, and to continue to learn and apply remains true. As recently as this morning, I had my face in a book. I've just purchased it. I've got 90 people coming to a training next Tuesday. This training has to be fresh and to the point, and pertinent to what they're facing. It's a sales group, right? And you say, "Okay, here's some additional tools that you can apply in your life to make your lives better." And the idea that we're not fearful of learning more is we've got to continue the learning and the application of that learning. Every day, every week, every month. That spirit of that is as alive today as it was when I was walking in and out, it's a new building, walking in and out those buildings that are long since gone. It's as fresh today as it ever will be. There's no way that I could do any of that today as well as I am if it hadn't been for the education I received at the University of Utah. There's just no way.Show Links:Jeff Young | LinkedInJeff Young | Family Business Magazine ProfileYESCO.comDavid Eccles School of Business (@ubusiness) | InstagramUndergraduate Scholars ProgramsRising Business LeadersEccles Alumni Network (@ecclesalumni) | Instagram Eccles Experience Magazine

In today's episode of Next Level University, hosts Kevin Palmieri and Alan Lazaros challenge the way most people think about effort, focus, and progress. The idea of “less is more” is familiar, but rarely understood correctly. This conversation reframes the Pareto Principle as a decision-making standard, not a productivity trick. It confronts why most people stay busy yet stagnant, why real progress feels slower than expected, and why long-term results demand a different mindset entirely. This episode is about leverage, patience, and choosing what actually matters when the payoff is far away. Listen closely. “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.” —Albert EinsteinJames 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.I hope to I declare.CONSISTENCYTHE DECLARATION“This year, with God's help and the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare I will be a PERSON of CONSISTENCY, because TRANSFORMATION happens when I do consistently what others do OCCASIONALLY.”Are you consistent in the RIGHT THINGS?1 Timothy 4:7–8 MSG Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever.Romans 7:15, 18–19 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do…For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.FOUR WAYS TO GROW IN CONSISTENCY1. Start SMALLSMALL things done consistently beat BIG things done occasionally.Zechariah 4:10 Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.2. Don't GIVE UP when change is SLOWGalatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.3. Plan for FAILURE not PERFECTIONIf your aim is PERFECTION, when you mess up you'll GIVE UP.Planning to fail doesn't mean you EXPECT TO FAIL.It means you already know what you're going to do to GET BACK ON TRACK.The ENEMY is after your CONSISTENCY.Romans 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.4. Fall in LOVE with the PROCESS“New goals don't deliver new results. New lifestyles do. And a lifestyle is a process, not an outcome. For this reason, all of your energy should go into building better habits, not chasing better results.”—James Clear“Success isn't when you achieve a goal in the future. Success is when you honor God today.”—Craig Groeschel Transformation happens when you do CONSISTENTLY what others do OCCASSIONALLY.CHALLENGE: What's one thing I can do to become more spiritually consistent?Hebrews 10:24–25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together… but encouraging one another…“This year, with God's help and the power of the Holy Spirit, I declare I will be a person of consistency. Transformation happens when I do consistently what others do occasionally.”
