Where is the Certificate of Divorce God Gave Israel?

Bob Enyart Live

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 29, 2022

On today's broadcast classic, we go back to KGOV.com/BRIDE to hear a message from the late great Bob Enyart detailing the story of God's marriage, then the divorce of His Bride, Israel. We've been holding off on airing today's Broadcast Classic so that it can align with our Bible study that's being led by a former Denver Bible Church elder at Agape Kingdom Fellowship. We believe that Lamentations is the certificate of divorce given to Israel, and we are starting a 4 part series about Lamentations tonight (11/28)! We'll be knocking this out before Christmas! Bible Study Details: KGOV Bible Studies, Monday nights, 6 pm, at Agape Kingdom Fellowship! 4085 Independence Ct, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033 * Who is the Bride of Christ: Israel or the Body? If we Christians are BOTH the Body of Christ and the Bride of Christ, then by these teachings, do we marry ourselves? Of course not. The question of the Bride of Christ influences many other beliefs that Christians hold, almost subconsciously. The Old Testament says explicitly that God was married to the nation of Israel, and then because she was an unfaithful wife, that God gave to her a certificate of divorce. So, if Christians today are the Bride of Christ, then is Israel God's eternal ex-wife? Are we His second wife? Some say that we are Israel, and if so then are we currently God's estranged wife, looking forward to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb? Or is there a much more biblical and fulfilling scriptural teaching on God's view of His relationship with His covenant peoples? * Enjoy this PDF excerpt on the Bride from The Plot: Page down in this Bride excerpt PDF of The Plot to the section titled "The Bride and the Groom".  And if this encourages and helps you, then please consider getting The Plot in printed form, download, or via audio teachings! * Related Shows: Bible study is Bob Enyart's passion, it informs his Christian worldview, and drives his on-air message. God created us in His image; He forbade killing the innocent; children are made in His image; abortion is the murder of children; God hates apathy; and Jesus Christ rose from the dead to save those who would believe. Our BEL programs that provide additional perspective and material from which to understand this important Bible topic include: - 2013 The Bride of Christ: Israel or the Body (this program) - 2011 Are We Both the Body and the Bride? - 2011 Are We Part 2 - 2001 The Bride. Today's Resource: If you are not familiar with the large amount of biblical material discussing God's two covenant peoples, Israel and the Body of Christ, then you might really enjoy The Plot. Bob Enyart's life's work is based on this observation: Grasping the overview of the Bible is the KEY to its DETAILS. And the "details" are the doctrines that Christians wrestle with. This Bible teaching is available in a soft-cover book titled The Plot or in a downloadable pdf version, and it's also available in an audio recording of Bob's Plot seminars for immediate download or to receive in the mail on an MP3 CD. And have your children or grand kids heard the The Plot Boys yet? In this audio series for young people, Bob and two young boys, Stephen and Josh, teach through an overview of the Bible. The guys present this in a way that kids (and adults) can really understand, so it's a valuable foundation for serious Bible study. Also, please consider ordering the entire Enyart Library! This invaluable resource will benefit your entire family or church, give you gifts and materials to share with friends, and you'll help Bob Enyart Live reach more and more people with a Christian worldview!

Have you attempted to test the levels yourself using EMF meters you found online and ended up confused and frustrated? EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies) are one of the most toxic elements in our living and work environments. Due to the technical nature of accurately testing for them—and the training required to do so properly—many of us resign ourselves to the fact that we just have to accept them and the consequences they bring in order to use the modern technology we depend on. But you don't have to. In this seven-part video documentary series, you will follow world-renowned building biologist Brian Hoyer as he tests an entire home, room by room, to determine the source and level of every known type of EMF. By the end of this series, you will not only be thoroughly educated on the various types and sources of EMF commonly found in homes but also of the many mitigation tools and techniques available thanks to the cutting-edge technologies. You'll learn more about the tactics politicians and propagandists use against you, and how you can re-purpose such tactics for good. Today we'll talk about what has been called "woke advertising." Why it fails, and IF it really fails in the long run. People love to say "get woke, go broke?" I wonder if that's really a reliable rule, but Nathan applies a formula: "This market is too much X. Let's get more Y." Y comes in and wants the existing market to change to meet their preferences. Y was never the target market - Y becomes a Phantom Audience. X gets tired of being bashed for liking things the way they were - leaves. Industry/fandom collapses. Dr. Jennifer Freed joins us today as we're digging into astrology, psychology and what this means for fertility journey. When we are in the middle of the struggle we may not even be able to see a way out. We may stop trusting our intuition or our psychic ability. We all have it – we may have been stopped listening. What if you knew everything was going to work out? How would you navigate the journey to have our child differently? Astrology can be a great place to help us renew our faith in the God, Universe or High Power. For years I thought it was all about my sun sign – Leo. It turns out our sun sign is the tip of the iceberg. Astrology can give us insight into our deepest desires, life lessons, personality traits, and our soul’s purpose. To fully experience the power of this episode be sure to download your natal/birth chart. Your natal/birth chart gives us a snapshot of the sky the date/time you were born. Go to www.astro.com to get your natal chart or https://cafeastrology.com/ - so you can follow along with our conversation. Follow along with Use Your Planets Wisely by my guest Dr. Jennifer Freed. She is a nationally-recognized expert, author, speaker, and consultant with over 25 years of experience in the fields of psychological astrology and social-emotional learning. What you’ll learn: 1) Astrology can give us better insight into our personality traits so we can authentically navigate difficult times. We can ask for what we need and minimize the self-judgement. 2) Our birth chart can give us clarity into so many different aspects of life - including our communication style. This includes how we receive and communicate information. The fertility journey can be fraught with triggers, comparison and feeling less than others. When we know our communication style we can move from reacting to responding. 3) Fine tuning our intuition and psychic ability can help us know there is another power (God/Universe/Higher Power) guiding us. This helps to better understand our inner workings, our uniqueness and commonalities with others.   ---   Book your Free Supercharge Your Fertility Discovery Call here: https://intakeq.com/booking/cZ7XW6   ---   Sponsored by: BLUBlox (Sleep+ is the world’s most advanced blue and green light blocking glasses addressing the exact frequencies of light required after dark to optimally produce melatonin for restorative sleep and health) Visit BLUBlox website at: http://bit.ly/BLUBlox Use coupon code: getpregnantpodcast to recieve 15% discount. Dr. Marisol Teijerio joins us today as We’re digging into poop and what this means for your fertility. I speak with so many couples that tell me they have digestive issues. They have issues such as constipation, diarrhea, gas and bloating. And while these symptoms can be common, they are not normal. I wanted to take a closer look at what exactly is going on with our poop. Yep it can be gross – but we all do it. If you are not eliminating toxins from our body – that means they are circulating in your system. And that can impact your hormones and ultimately your fertility. If you have digestive issues – that is a clue for you to tune into your what your body is desperately trying to tell you. Time to put on your detective hat – let’s go! Today I’m welcoming Dr. Marisol Teijeiro. Dr Teijerio is Naturopathic Doctor, and for over 15 years she has helped thousands of patients transition from irritable bowels to owning their own throne. In this episode we’ll discuss: How much we should be pooping each day. How big should our poop be? How long it take to go? What spackles, streaks, floating and the colour of poop mean for our health and fertility. What it means if we hyper wipe (i.e. we need to use half a roll of toilet paper to get clean). What our poop tells us about food sensitivities (really tune in here – because the majority of couples we work with have food sensitivities). What the link is between constipation and thyroid (we see this ALL the time). There are some simple steps to help. How castor oil can help with digestion and WAY more! We recommend this to all our 1:1 couples. Brandy Buskow joins us today as we’re digging into stool testing and what it means for fertility. Yep…we’re talking about poop today! It’s the last place that your conventional doctor will look when you have infertility…while in functional medicine it’s one of the first places. I’ve shared with you about my food sensitivity…which I discovered years ago….and when I took out the foods…I gradually started to feel better (I discovered this too late, as I was fully in menopause – if you are still cycling naturally there are steps we can take!). And then years later after the food sensitivity, I discovered I had a gut infection too. I had H.Pylori, streptococcus and a fungal overgrowth and really high sensitivity to gluten (which I already knew – but the stool test confirmed it – so I had to watch out for cross reactors). When I found this out…I gotta tell you…I was upset! Okay I was pissed!!! Because I thought I was this super healthy person. Eating organic, taking out the inflammatory foods, eliminating the environmental toxins…you name it I was doing it….but like I’ve shared because my periods were irregular in my early 20’s, I was placed on hormonal birth control. Because I thought I was this super healthy person. Eating organic, taking out the inflammatory foods, eliminating the environmental toxins…you name it I was doing it….but like I’ve shared because my periods were irregular in my early 20’s, I was placed on hormonal birth control. I’ve talked about post birth control syndrome (this impacts our nutrient levels – you could be eating a super health diet – but not absorbing the nutrients, and it negatively impacts gut health (cue – leaky gut, food sensitivities and gut infections). That’s why a stool test is always a must if you are struggling with infertility. Especially if you have gone #glutenfree #dairyfree and still aren’t pregnant or able to carry your baby to term. Remember if your body is under attack it wants to survive not procreate. And if you have a gut infection…the body is under attack! Time to dig deeper! On this podcast you’ll learn: We review the top functional stool tests and which stool test we like and why. We discuss the link between gut infections such as (parasites, bacteria and fungal infections) and infertility. Plus which parasites are autoimmune triggers – we see so many people with autoimmunity and infertility. Why H.Pylori doesn’t always present with typical acid reflux symptoms (which was the case for me) and why it’s important to eradicate before #ttc. How to heal gut infections. The functional versus the conventional medical route – we discuss pro’s and con’s. Plus we talk about supplement recommendations. --- GI MAP Test Review - (your review includes 60 minute consultation, plus follow up with additional 30 minute consultation). Brandy Buskow joins us today as we’re digging into Dutch Test and what it means for fertility. With conventional medicine when you get a blood test for your hormone levels…the approach is to treat the numbers. This is a Band-Aid approach. We need to ask WHY is there an imbalance in the first place. The functional approach seeks to find these answers….and allow your body to heal and prepare for pregnancy. Running to a fertility clinic FIRST without sorting out the WHY…doesn’t make sense and is and an out dated approach to infertility. We believe in a Round Table approach to healing. Which includes your RE, OB/GYN, Fertility Coach, Nutritionist, Acupuncturist, Chiropractor, Masseuse, Hypnotherapist etc). Not all at once of course! With YOU in the center. We are the conductor of our own healing…and the conventional model…excludes these essential opportunities for healing…and while this approach may work for some…there are others who experience…failed cycle after failed cycle…loss and heartbreak. My mission is for us to stop and actually listen to what our body is desperately trying to tell us. When your body is under attack (by either an autoimmune disease, gut infection, food sensitivity, high stress) it does not want to procreate…it wants to survive. Pushing ahead to a fertility clinic…when you have an infertility diagnosis without digging further does not make sense. Our take is to figure out the WHY first…make the necessary lifestyle shifts and either get pregnant naturally or if you need to go to the fertility clinic you will have set up your body for success. The DUTCH test is one of our go to tests to figure out the WHY. On this podcast you’ll learn: What it means when your melatonin is low and the connection to gut health. Why continuing to supplement without correcting the root cause doesn’t work. What your cortisol (stress hormone) means for fertility and steps you can take right now. Especially important if you have been under chronic stress. We discuss estrogen dominance (PMS, anxiety, anger, bloating etc) how the DUTCH test helps to give us clues for healing. We dig into low estrogen (which may be the case for low AMH, high FSH, low ovarian reserve…BUT may not be the case for all women with this diagnosis). How the DUTCH test goes deeper and shows us what is actually happening with estrogen levels. Why supplementing with DHEA for low ovarian reserve may not be the best option.   ---   Follow along as we review the DUTCH test - download the DUTCH test we discuss in the podcast here: https://fabfertile.sharefile.com/share/view/66f31e5eb00d4bd9   ---   DUTCH Test Review - (your review includes 60 minute consultation, plus follow up with additional 30 minute consultation).   ---   Order your DUTCH Test Review here: https://fabfertile.com/product/dutch-test-review/ Once you have purchased your review we will send you the information about the cost of the test (Approximate cost of test $ 250 USD). On today's episode we’re digging into why food sensitivity testing could give us clues about your fertility. I would say the majority of couples who we work with – tell us that they don’t have a food sensitivity. However, when they take a food sensitivity test coupled with the elimination diet, it turns out they do! Whether you have low AMH, premature ovarian failure/insufficiency, repeat miscarriage, unexplained infertility, fibroids, PCOS, endometriosis or male factor infertility – a customized diet is KEY. A food sensitivity is stressor on the body – and if your body is under attack it wants to survive not procreate. And while you may have tried lots of diets to maximize your fertility and not noticed any improvements – that’s because that diet worked for someone – but may not be the right diet for YOU!   On this podcast you’ll learn: What is the difference between a food sensitivity and a food allergy? How do we measure inflammation in the body? Which food sensitivity test do we like and why! What to do if you are gluten free and still not seeing results. Did you know there are other foods that your body will confuse with gluten? These foods will still cause inflammation in your body and not allow your body to fully heal.   ---   Food Sensitivity Test Review - (your review includes 60 minute consultation, plus follow up with additional 30 minute consultation). Order your Food Sensitivity Test Review here: https://fabfertile.com/product/leap-mrt-test-review/ Once you have purchased your review we will send you the information about the cost of the test (Test costs vary between $ 300 USD - $ 550 USD). Nathan Fraser joins me to discuss the recent T.M. Landry scandal - revelations that threaten to dash many people's hopes about self-directed learning models disrupting and possibly even healing a corrupt and failed schooling system. T.M. Landry fashioned itself as a revolutionary college prep school. It was promoted to national (half) attention through viral college acceptance videos, while boasting an 100% college acceptance rate. An Inventory of T.M Landry's Educational Promise - student led - self directed learning - teachers or mentors who didn't jump through the state hoops to be "qualified" - no textbooks In reality, L.M Landry was a predatory operation against parents and charities looking to help disadvantaged teens escape failure and despair. But T.M. Landry is a symptom of larger problems, both in the public K-12 system and in higher education. The Landrys were able to exploit the hopeful people willing to give to them so generously, as a response to the dismal failure of the schools in that area; Louisiana ranks 49th in the country in education. The Landrys also took advantage of an increasingly ideological college admissions process, which I will argue is prejudiced and even white supremacist (but in a warm and fuzzy, socially acceptable progressive way). (Part Two of Two) Zak Slayback returns for a marathon discussion on how to set and make progress towards meaningful personal and professional goals. Recorded April 9th in Pittsburgh, PA in the studio of good friend Andrew Mercer. I was really happy Andrew joined us; he added some great stories and thoughtful questions related to his own productivity journey. The first conversation focused on deschooling - how to unlearn and discard certain limiting beliefs that interfere with professional success and fulfillment. Today we go into detail on Zak's "Ambition Mapping" process for goal setting. Productivity - Being busy vs. being productive: what is the highest priority? - Andrew's productivity quest, Getting Things Done - Know what you're looking for; identifying specific outcomes - Building connections between visions and tasks Ambition Mapping If you had a map to navigate a labyrinth, you know you should trace your way backwards based on your destination. You adjust your path based on where you start relative to where you want to go. People know this when playing a game and know it in general when choosing a career (i.e., if I want to be a doctor, I should go to medical school) but rarely re-examine their path using this through their careers. This process of regularly looking at where you want to go, evaluating where you’re starting, and working backwards from the destination to where you are now is what I call ambition mapping. - Zak Slayback - Built off Nathaniel Branden's sentence stems - What does it mean to esteem oneself? - Defining "progress" and "meaningful goals" - Ambition mapping is a three-phase writing process 1. Day One: Via Negativa - Identify what you don't want 2. Day Two: Via Positiva - Identify what you DO want 3. Day Three: Review Stems from the previous 2 days and find the intersection between the two. Research what fits in the intersection. Build the ambition map: the path from where you want to go back to where you are. Blake Boles builds exciting alternatives to traditional school for self-directed young people. He directs the company Unschool Adventures and is the author of The Art of Self-Directed Learning, Better Than College, and College Without High School. Part One of Two This show is an introduction to the life and work of Blake Boles, and the next show will be a discussion of this book The Art of Self-Directed Learning. Today Blake and I discuss his background as a successful high school and college student, and how his ideas and career path changed with the discovery of John Taylor Gatto. "It was Gatto who inspired me, at age 21, to leave my own path in the sciences to become a full-time student of (and advocate for) alternative education," Blake says. We then discuss how Gatto's work impacted each of us, Blake through A Different Kind of Teacher and me through Against School. Blake's path of discovery continued; he read the radical school reform literature of the 1960s, the work of Grace Llewellyn and the writing of the Sudbury School Founders. The last was most impactful, as much of it demonstrated the power of intrinsic motivation in learning. Blake then designed his own major at UC Berkeley, focused on self-directed education and alternative schooling. Unschool Adventures Years later, building on this experience, Blake founded Unschool Adventures. Since 2008 the company has run long-term international trips and U.S.-based retreats for self-directed learners ages 14-19+. The goal of these programs is to build the skills, experience, and self-confidence that a young person needs to transition into independent adulthood. From UnschoolAdventures.com: The Unschooling Approach How does the unschooling approach reflect in our trip leadership? We grant participants large degrees of freedom and responsibility in creating their experiences—always within reasonable safety limits. I will also ask Blake if he has rethought the value of college in recent years, referencing two of this books - College Without High School, and then Better Than College. Cynthia Day is the founder of and a teacher at the Days of Wonder School in Batavia, OH. I invited her on the show as part of a continuing effort to showcase successful and inspiring alternative education models, along with some of the desirable attributes of voluntary learning communities. Cynthia began her teaching career in public school, but within a matter of years she discovered that the environment and culture presented serious obstacles to addressing the emotional and educational needs of her students. I had similar experiences; we compare stories. She ultimately left teaching to focus on homeschooling her own children. When they reached adulthood, she shifted her attention into creating an alternative school that encompassed the best aspects of homeschooling. The ultimate result was Days of Wonder, which began in her basement and has now grown into a thriving K-12 alternative school serving 141 learners. Days of Wonder primarily serves young people who struggled in the public school setting, but who also didn't have access to private education. We'll discuss how Days of Wonder is able to charge a monthly tuition lower than what most people are paying for daycare. Our majority of discussion is focused on the lessons Cynthia took from her home education successes, and how she applies them to the Days of Wonder learning environment. Many parents in the School Sucks audience are currently unable to home-educate, but they see learner-centered schools as desirable alternatives. If you're a parent examining your alternative education options, here are some key attributes to look for (or to create): 1. Learning takes place in multi-age groups 2. Learning is interdisciplinary - integrated curriculum, encouraging students to actively make new connections across subject areas 3. Parents are invested in the school and see themselves as an integral of the learning community 4. Students take possession of their own learning, setting their own educational goals 5. Individualized instruction and respect for intrinsic motivation 6. No grades (we'll talk about exceptions in the show, i.e. high school transcripts) 7. Continuity of Instruction - teachers are more like mentors; they will have the same students several years in a row Learn More About Days of Wonder Related Shows: 1. Dr. Bryan Caplan is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University and the author of a provocative new book titled The case Against Education: Why the Education System Is a Waste of Time and Money. His thesis: "Civilized societies revolve around education now, but there is a better—indeed, more civilized—way. If everyone had a college degree, the result would be not great jobs for all, but runaway credential inflation. Trying to spread success with education spreads education but not success." Discussion: - Bryan's distinction between schooling and education, and why he chose that title - the book as a response to the "college for all" mentality - What are the most damning statistics or studies that encouraged this book? - Credential Inflation: what is it and how it it costing people? - The complexity of the "education premium" - a frequent counterargument to the futility of a college degree - is higher earnings for college degrees correlative or causative? It's disguised reward for traits many people would have had without school - Signaling: college degree signal conformity. - A better credential than a college degree - How to thrive in a system that probably isn't going to change - can online education ever be competitive with traditional higher education? Part Two of Two, Please Make Sure You Heard Part One! As as follow up to our conversation on dropping out of college, Derek Magill and I explore how to "build your own credential" in lieu of a degree. Derek explains why he believes such a self-directed credential is superior to the four-year degree, and he illustrates how you go on to signal that credential in the market. Derek is just twenty-four years old, but he is already enjoying great success as an entrepreneur, freelancer and writer. He also currently serves as the Director of Marketing for Praxis. Derek dropped out of the University of Michigan during his sophomore year because he "was not finding the experience valuable towards (his) intellectual and professional goals." He adds: "Over the last four years or so, my decision to leave has been vindicated. I’ve got a wonderful life, a great career, and I’ve gotten to spend 3-4 extra years pursuing my values on my own terms." Also discussed: - don't let your interests "sit in study mode" - How did Derek land a Director of Marketing job in your early 20s? - Creating your own job "build a digital paper trail" - the limits of resumes - How to establish your online presence Derek also answers the following listener questions: (thank you Michael Erwin) What limits does he see to the Praxis model? As in, industries, careers, and further development. What blowback has he experienced in trying to build these partnerships with businesses/startups in regards to their attitude to non-degreed candidates and replacing the college credential (at least for the Praxis participants)? What has he learned in building Praxis that those older in life and career could benefit from? What struggles have there been with government and establishment ed in building Praxis, specifically in the frame of it being a college alternative? Part Three of Three My marathon conversation with Peter Gray concludes with an exploration of Peter's vision for the future. It's a bold vision, but he describes the observations that led him to believe it will become a reality for more and more children and families in the coming years. The future is self-directed education. The Three Phases: 1. Discovery, learning about the world, the self and how the two fit together 2. Career Exploration, community/professional immersion, apprenticeship opportunities 3. Credentialing For Specialized Work, the Praxis idea of a better credential than the college degree Other Questions: -Does Peter have hope for government adoption of self-directed education? Publicly supported options? -How does education change? Considering the massive school bureaucracy. -Are unschoolers finding professional satisfaction? -How do schools like Sudbury help with career exploration? -Is Peter familiar with the mission of Praxis? Peter serves on the Organizing team for the Alliance of Self-Directed-Education. He also runs a blog on Psychology Today called Freedom to Learn, where he regularly explains and promotes self-directed education from a variety of angles. Today Peter and I discuss creativity and critical thinking - two skills we agree are left underdeveloped (or even damaged) by public school and college. On critical thinking, Peter has referenced studies and surveys that reveal about 50% of employers are dissatisfied with entry-level, college graduate employees (PayScale Inc.) and that college does little to improve higher level thinking (Academically Adrift: Limited Learning On College Campuses - 2011). On creativity, Peter wrote a piece called As Children’s Freedom Has Declined, So Has Their Creativity. Peter informs us that there are actually quantitative studies, including the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, that show a marked decline in children's creative capacity since the 1980s. We discuss the causes of this decline in detail. We finish with a friendly disagreement (then agreement) on the educational merits of video games. In part one we discussed the biological foundations of self-education. In part three we'll talk about Peter's vision for self-directed education in the future. Part One of Three Dr. Peter Gray is a research professor of psychology at Boston College, and author of Free to Learn: Why Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life. Peter serves on the Organizing team for the Alliance For Self-Directed-Education. He also runs a blog on Psychology Today called Freedom to Learn, where he regularly explains and promotes self-directed education from a variety of angles. Today Peter and I discuss how he distinguishes school from education, how school is disruptive to our "educative instincts," and the biological foundations of self-directed education. In other words, children come into the world biologically designed to learn. These foundations include: - Curiosity: the need to make meaning out of our surroundings - Playfulness: physical, but also related to risk-taking, language games, rules, imagination, logic, building, and using the tools of culture - Sociability: a desire to share what is being learned - Planfulness: thinking ahead, "self-directed executive functioning" In part two we'll discuss creativity and critical thinking. In part three we'll Peter's vision for education in the future.
