If you scroll back far enough, you will see episodes with “Manifest!” in the title, but it's been a loooong time since I've suggested manifesting to anyone. I believe it is messing us up, keeping us stuck, and maybe making us a little lazy.Vision boards and affirmations are great, but without action – they are delusional thinking. In this episode, we will talk about why stopping manifesting can be the most powerful thing you can do because it gives you the power to focus on what you can control: Your Actions. In this episode, I'm diving deep into the world of emotions with Part 3 of a 4 part series based on my most popular workshop: The Yoga of Emotion. Emotions are often misunderstood. We think that emotions are simply reactions to events. It's all about how we think about those events that create those feelings. Ten different people can witness the same event and experience ten different emotions based on their own thoughts and perspectives. The Three Laws of Emotion are: Law 1: The 90-Second Rule. Discover what emotions actually are and where they come from. I reveal a jaw-dropping study finding that shows how failure to manage emotions can age you by a whopping 35 years. Law 2: The 50/50 Rule. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and that's actually a GOOD thing. Learn how to make peace with the “shitty 50” and navigate life's challenges more easily. Finally, Law 3: Fuel for Your Actions. Emotions are the GAS that takes you from where you are to where you want to be. These 3 laws are a start to emotional mastery —a transformative tool that can revolutionize your daily life. If you're ready to master your mindset and your emotional life, I invite you to book a free 45-minute strategy session with me. If you think about it, some of the best lessons that you have learned in life have come indirectly from the choices that others have made and the examples they have set for themselves. What is the lesson? By setting a standard, you can lead others far more effectively than if you rely on rank or title alone. And by living to a standard, you will be far more effective at achieving your goals in life. “Never call yourself a philosopher, nor talk a great deal among the unlearned about theorems, but act conformably to them. Thus, at an entertainment, don't talk how persons ought to eat, but eat as you ought.” - Epictetus Until Wednesday…out of role.
Insecurities on the Dance Floor? I am not good enough I will never be as good as X person How to deal with your insecurities? 1.Why I made this video? TO discuss Insecurities This is something we all deal with in all facets of our lives. I will tailor this to the dancing scene. 2. I have often found myself thinking: I am not good enough I will never be as good as X person 3. How I would aim to resolve these issues: Ask yourself what is In your control? What do you have power over? Your Actions. Also understand that comparison is the thief of joy. I would also like to say that, your insecurities are something you will always deal with. But as you become more confident and as you put the time and effort into your craft, you build up this level of trust & confidence within yourself. And I also think you start to build this sense of abudance mentality versus scarcity. For me I had this sense of scarcity mindset, thinking The more you do this, the better you become, and the more positive experiences you can draw upon. As a beginner, you may not have as many positive experiences to remember and think about. But after you reach a certain level of skill you can understand that and comprehend that just because this one person may not enjoy dancing with you does not mean someone else wont. You have experienced it firsthand. To sum this video up: YOU will always deal with your insecurities. I deal with them now on the dance floor. But as with anything in life, the better you become at this skill the more confidence you have in yourself. The more trust you have in your capabilities. #Salsa #Bachata #Kizomba #Podcast #BrazilianZouk #Rueda #Tarraxinha #Zouk #Passada #Ginga #Forro #LambaZouk #Afro #Latin #African #Socialdance #Socialdancing #Partnerdance #Partnerdancing #Pachanga #Lambada #Dance #Dancers 2LF Links _______________________________________________ Twitter: https://twitter.com/Tw0LeftFeet Instagram: tw0_left_feet Website: https://2leftfeet.blog/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2171874589599779/ Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoLeftFeetPodcast/ iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/two-left-feet-podcast/id1454425997 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5bQSnwKDmHbDQdgnZ0OrC3 Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Twoleftfeet Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCR109vJ4Pbl146Ok1u5vSuA Anchor: https://anchor.fm/twoleftfeetpodcast

Mental strength can be described as your amount of resilience & confidence. But if you're unsure how to become stronger mentally, I have 10 tips on how to work towards a stronger mind & become even more capable of overcoming the struggles that come your way.Show Notes:I always thought mental strength was tough to work on, but it was because I was a people pleaser. And being a people pleaser meant I had to do what I could to put everyone else first & not make myself a priority ever. This meant that I allowed my mindset to be continually crushed by those I thought I needed to serve to be accepted, to be liked, to be recognized. I had to extract myself from that lifestyle, that behavior before I even had a chance to become stronger. You don't get stronger when you allow others to basically step on you & hold you down. And as most of you know, all I talk about around here is emotions and mindset and how to ensure you are not held captive by your emotions & how better to manage those emotions that will assist you in getting your desired outcomes in life & continue on your journey to becoming your best self. And it's what many of you are here for, which is great because I can deliver on that. And talking about different topics individually can help you understand those topics better, but sometimes it's nice to have a quick list of things to work on to either get a jumpstart on your emotional wellness work or just to have a condensed reminder of what's important to work on, in general. And that is what I plan to provide for you today. A quick list of things for you to do to work on your mental strength. But first, let's define what mental strength is: Being mentally strong means you are able to deal with the stressors, challenges & problems that come your way. This also means you have the ability to cope with any negative emotions that come with those struggles & respond the best way you can, despite the circumstances.Sometimes referred to as mental toughness, it can also be boiled down to the amount of resilience & confidence you have to figure whatever out & keep moving forward. As always, please note that becoming stronger mentally is not an overnight project. It doesn't happen right away & takes time, like most things. Please be patient with yourself as you develop this skill.Today I want to share with you 10 Ways to Work On Becoming Stronger Mentally:Learn to Set Goals That Are Realistic & ManageableWork on Managing AnxietyDon't Camp Out in the Past Learn to Respond Rather Than React Set Limits/Boundaries for Yourself Indulge in Positive Activities & Things that Bring You Joy Embrace Changes in Your Life Be Responsible for Your Actions & Behaviors Work On Being More Patient Celebrate Other People's Success Thank you again for listening & I hope this episode was helpful.Come visit me on my Instagram page @sabrinajoyperozzo to say hi or on Clubhouse @sabrinajperozzo to chat!Have any questions, comments or feedback? Consider the Consequences of Your Actions. Our actions affect others. Remember that the ends do not justify the means. How we get to our goal is just as important as getting there. Today I want to talk to you about Creating Certainty in your life. This is a topic that I have heard over and over from experts and thought leaders in my life. Robert Stuberg spends a great deal of time on this subject. The Roman philosopher Seneca said, "Nothing is certain expept the past" Erich Fromm also said, "The quest for certainty blocks the search for meaning. Uncertainty is the very condition to impel man to unfold his powers." I love this second quote because I believe sometimes we place too much effort on finding certainty in our lives. Of course certainty is important...but no less that the benefits obtained from a degree of uncertainty in our lives. Tony Robbins talks about the need for both: certainty and uncertainty STORIES OF CERTAINTY & UNCERTAINTY Right now the world is definitely in a state of chaos or uncertainty. So, how do we learn to create a degree (or more) certainty in order to create some "peace of mind"...? My Mentor Robert made a statement to me that really hit home, and I'd like you to really think about this... ...People make the mistake of looking for certainty "outside" of them selves...the only sure bet is to look inside of yourself to create certainty. What does this really mean?... How do we create certainty inside of ourselves...? Well, I believe that the best way to create certainty in our lives is to focus on the only thing we truly have control over...our Actions and Mindset... By focusing on our goals and unique talents in life, and taking massive action, we can create and maintain a degree of control and certainty in our lives. We can create confidence, self esteem, and peace of mind when we create a plan and follow through with that plan. And...when aligned with our unique talents, purpose and passion, it makes for a great recipe for success in our life. So many people are relying on their jobs, parents, leaders and influencers in their lives to create results and certainty and security for them in life. It's time that we begin to realize that "no one" is going to come and rescue you. No one is going to be the hero of your own story in life.... ...you need to be the Hero of Your Story. This is what will create Certainty, Peace of Mind and Results for you in Life. Your Actions will create the life you are seeking. I understand that sometimes we feel that life is out of control. Maybe you feel like... ...your job is grinding you down. ...your business is riding waves up and down. ...your relationships and people around you are demanding your time. ...your circumstances are "outside" of your control. Well the truth is that none of that really matters when it comes to creating your life, because the only thing you can control, influence and FOCUS on is Your Own Actions. And when you develop a deep sense of Purpose and Commitment to YOUR life and Path...that is when you will continue to move in the right direction... ...a direction of Health, Wealth, and Happiness. You've probably heard me refer to the story of the iceberg in the past... Many years ago, ancient sailors use to be amazing by a strange phenomenom they witnessed in the ocean with icebergs they would pass. The sailors used to wonder why the wind would be blowing a particular direction and yet they would see these massive icebergs moving against the wind in the opposite direction. It was because they didn't realize a couple of important priciples that were happening. First, the iceberg they saw (although enormous on the surface) were actually only 10% of the actual mass of the iceberg...the rest was under water. Second, the deep ocean currents were actually what was moving the iceberg, and those current were not flowing the same direction as the wind. This principle is also one we can apply in our lives. When we learn to develop deep commitments to our Unique Talent and Goals that are aligned with our Passion and Purpose in life...we can develop our own deep "internal" currents that will continue to move us in the direction of our Destiny regardless of what is happening in the world around us. Learning to develop certainty in our lives "internally" is the best way to find that Peace of Mind and Certainty... The key is to look internally, not externally, to create certainty in your life. I hope that makes sense to you and you can find ways to do that in your own life. Remember, Your Actions will create Certainty. The Program Robert Stuberg Developed called Creating Your Ultimate Destiny goes into this in much more detail, but truly all you need to do is... 1- Decide what you want in life... 2- Adopt the beliefs and emotions that will lead you to that goal... 3- Decide what you need to do by making a plan of action... 4- Take Action. It isn't rocket science and it isn't a secret... Taking action will get you to your goal and will create the certainty you are looking for. Remember what I said earlier... All the perfect planning, thinking and organizing will never Create Your Life. Only Actions and Alignment with your Unique Talent will do the job. Thanks for listening to these ideas today, and I hope they have inspired you to take control and responsibility for your life. Talk with you more tomorrow... George Wright III

Even when you understand your purpose, it's still hard to stay motivated — to be productive and active. We often equate progress and productivity with activity, which makes enjoying the whole entrepreneurial journey difficult. As with everyone else, a founder has to live his or her own life. In a world driven by output, many entrepreneurs feel guilty for letting life happen. Many people forget how being part of a family, spending time with friends, and doing things they love, help them to be more effective and efficient. In today's episode, we tackle a different perspective on productivity. Sean and James discuss how to appreciate the slow days, enjoy the lack of activity, and value the learning time.Key Takeaways:Slow days when founders have to deal with life and enjoy time spent doing non-work-related things are also productive. Taking some time off doesn't mean you're neglecting the business. Time spent on thinking, recalibrating isn't a lack of progress. We often think of output as a sign of productivity, but doing thinking work is just as important.Episode Quotes:The Importance of Taking Time Off[00:07:14] I feel like most CEOs and founders that I talk to are frazzled out of their minds. Or working a hundred percent of their time. Taking time off, like what? Five days to really take time to spend with family. Go up, celebrate. I think we often forget that we have to celebrate the stuff.Taking Responsibility for Your Actions[00:08:51] I mean, your company hasn't caught up in flames and dying in those couple of weeks, right? I wouldn't say that you're going into this place of not replying to any single email. You're not completely ditching your day-to-day responsibilities of being a CEO, being a founder, being a father, husband, and being a friend. You have all these lists of things that you're probably already doing. You might be saying, “I'm not productive in this last few weeks or a couple of months”, compared to your peak, the most productive time of your life when the company is just getting started and things are super exciting. Like the Stages of Grief, There are Stages of Acceptance Too[00:13:34] I think it's something that's very hard to grasp because of this concept about how everything is tied to the output. If we're only chasing that, and if we're tying any sort of meaning to life with outputs, then this goes into not ever being present for the moments that lead to the outcome. And if you're not enjoying this, at some point we are not enjoying the conversation that we're having, we should stop. Even if there are millions of listeners, it wouldn't matter at that point.
Struggling is akin to climbing a mountain. You start strong and motivated. As soon as you reach the top, you realize going back down is just as hard. Once you reach the top, you assume that going down will be easier. That's not the case. In this episode, Sean and Andrew discuss how summits in entrepreneurship are as much a part of our struggles as our successes. A reminder that these peaks are not the end, but just the first step toward higher peaks.Listen as they discuss what it takes to cope with life's daily struggles — from recognizing that it's going to be persistently part of your life to considering what kinds of challenges you're willing to take on. Key Takeaways:Struggles are persistent. It's not going to stop, even though you reach summits in your entrepreneurial journey. To deal with struggles, you have to go through awareness to acceptance. Awareness that it will always be part of your life, and finally accepting the kind of struggles you're willing to put up with.Struggles are not necessarily bad, it's the stepping stone to get to better places.Episode Quotes:The Importance of Accepting Your Struggles[00:05:56] It seemed to me how you accept what's going on in your life and accept the struggles if you know that it's always going to be there, the struggle evolves with you as you evolve. It's just about trying to accept that it's going to happen, and then how you deal with it, and what kind of struggles you're willing to put up with.Taking Responsibility for Your Actions[00:24:06] Of course, everything that I decided to do is my own decision. It's one thing to understand that, but it's completely different from actually accepting it. Because I think once you accept that decisions are yours, then there is a really hard truth that you alone are responsible for where you are in your life. Like the Stages of Grief, There are Stages of Acceptance Too[00:25:42] Life doesn't work that way and our minds do not work that way. Once we even accept something, it's not like all of a sudden things become easier. It's not that, “Oh, I've accepted that. You go through like the grief thing. Even though you accept that something bad has happened, and you struggle with it. Just because you accept it doesn't mean that the grief goes away. It's just a different level of understanding.Show Links:Mark Manson Author ProfileMark Manson's BooksEntrepreneurial Operating System: Free Tools
Having difficult conversations is never easy. You have to prepare yourself for unresolved issues and agreeing to disagree. The reason Alyssa and Jocelyn talk about this topic is because of a new book Alyssa is reading, Difficult Conversations: How to Discuss What Matters Most by Douglass Stone, Bruce Patton, and Sheila Heen. They discuss having those difficult conversations in the workplace and in their personal lives between friends, family, and spouses. This week Drew and the guys talk about a popular clip in the movie "Wolf Of Wall Street" (described by Sam Buck), which brought the question "What Makes You A Leader, Your Actions or The Title?" All the guys have great points. Check it out.
“Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson Have you ever felt or been misunderstood? Has anyone ever misunderstood your intentions? Your Motives? Your Actions? Your attempts to build a relationship? Sometimes its like water off of a duck, it just rolls off… Sometimes it can be excruciating… Have you ever felt that type of “misunderstood?” My encouragement to you today is this… YOU ARE IN GOOD COMPANY. Let me repeat today's quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson… “Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.” What would today look like if — instead of worrying for hours about someone's thoughts about you, your email, your text message… you allowed them to misunderstand you. Of course work to an understanding with people closest to you, but give yourself the gift of allowing someone to misunderstand you. Because… being misunderstood does not mean you are misunderstand-able… Only that someone doesn't fully understand the greatness inside of you. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/kevin-ilich/message
