I'll share 4 criteria to help you make strategic decisions about delegating. I spent money on experts of all sorts and hired a full time VA to do all the little things I couldn't be bothered with.I believe my time is highly valuable — good mindset there — so I didn't want to do anything except what I started this business for … to coach. That was a bit short sighted.I went too far to the delegating side of the continuum, which cost me in 3 ways:1.     Low profits because my expenses were high2.     Not learning things that I should have learned3.     Time because managing others wasn't my forte (and it took far more time to manage their work product than if I had done those things myself.)I made rash decisions because I didn't really know my business model, what I bring to the table and the holes in my competencies. I didn't think through what energizes and drains me. I clearly needed a business coach!Mostly, I was blindly following what other coaches were doing. I fell in with a crowd of high rollers. It wasn't as seedy as it sounds but it wasn't good for me either.Sure, business by trial and error is a time-honored tradition. Making lots of mistakes and learning from them has its upsides! Productivity versus procrastination is the ever-present angel and devil on our shoulders. The one voice in your head telling you that you should be more productive, and the other voice whispering devilishly to go ahead and watch another episode of your favorite show, that task can wait. But procrastination doesn't always have to be a negative thing, despite its bad rap. In fact, there are ways you can use it to your advantage! John Perry, an emeritus philosophy professor at Stanford, proposed an idea in 1995 called structured procrastination. His belief was that people who procrastinate are still doing useful things—they just need to learn how to be intentional about the little things they do to put off larger tasks. He argued that by putting structure around everything you do, important or not, you could trick your mind into getting the larger tasks done. Let's explore 7 simple ways you can utilize structured procrastination to turn procrastination into productivity. 1. Put Off Morning Tasks by Time Blocking If you aren't a “morning person”, it can be hard to get started in the morning, especially if you start your day early. Instead of diving into a larger task right away, try doing some time blocking as your first small task. Time blocking is blocking off time on your calendar for all your tasks, even breaks! It helps you to structure your day, so you know exactly what to work on in a given time block, so you don't need to waste your mental energy thinking of what to do next. Your time-blocked calendar could look something like: • 6:00am to 6:30am – Work out • 6:30am to 7:00am – Shower • 7:00am to 7:30am – Coffee and light breakfast • 7:30am to 8:00am – Time block calendar • 8:00am to 9:00am – Make prospecting calls • 9:00am to 9:15am – Prep for client meeting • 9:15am to 10:15am – Client meeting • 10:15am to 10:30am – Finish any actions from client meeting • 10:30am to 11:00am – Respond to emails • 11:00am – 12:00pm – Make prospecting calls • 12:00pm – 12:30pm – Eat Lunch • Etc. Having a laundry list of to-dos can be overwhelming, so setting aside a specific time for each activity takes away the burden of deciding when to do that task and makes you more intentional with how you utilize your valuable time. 2. Break a Larger Project Down into Smaller Tasks As you're blocking time on your calendar, you can break larger projects down into smaller tasks which makes them much easier to do and you feel like you are making good progress on your list of activities that need to be done. Let's say you're launching a new website and need to put final touches on it before you can launch today. The larger project is “launch a new website,” and smaller tasks could be giving the copy a final overview, making sure all images have alt tags for accessibility, double-checking that the DNS is set up for launch, reviewing the marketing email that is going out to clients and prospects, etc. With each small task you accomplish, you get closer to completing the larger project! 3. Tackle the Simplest Tasks First Tackling easier tasks first can help give you a sense of accomplishment, which will carry over to larger tasks. When you complete a simple task, that can lead to a flood of dopamine that will make you want to repeat the behavior. There's also a satisfaction that comes from checking off items from your to-do list, so if you give yourself easy things to check off, you may not be as likely to push off future tasks. However, don't put off the other tasks that make not be as easy because you are only doing the easier ones. 4. Delegate Tasks to Others The beauty of having a team around you is being surrounded by people with differing strengths. There may be tasks on your list that you're not looking forward to because you don't enjoy them, and you're not great at them. Instead of trying to get good enough to complete the task, learn to delegate all those tasks you aren't good at and don't enjoy it to a member of your team. In fact, by doing so, you'll be doing TWO things at once—the task will get done, and you'll get invaluable practice as a business owner trusting others to get the job done. To help you be even more effective and efficient, so you can achieve your goals at an accelerated rate, you can delegate more to your team members than you have or might think possible. Stop holding on to things that can be done by someone else and do only those activities that you can do and can't be done by anyone else. Stop doing revenue generation / business development avoidance activities and delegate more! Successful people are excellent delegators, so work at being an even better delegator and be even more successful. Set Aside Time for Inspiration There's a misconception that being productive means churning out tangible tasks. Letting your mind have creative space can not only motivate you to work on your to-do list, it's also vital as you lead the vision for your company. You may be someone who waits for inspiration to strike you, and that's totally fine! But it's also good to get into the practice of setting aside time to be intentional about being inspired. That might mean listening to podcasts, reading business books or self-growth books, doing yoga, meditating, or even going for a long nature walk. Another advantage of inspiration time is that you will come back feeling more refreshed and ready to attack the next task on your to-do list! 6. Mix in Different Types of Tasks Throughout the Day Some people do better focusing on one activity during the day, but you may do better mixing in different types of tasks. Work on one task for an hour, and then switch to another one. You could respond to emails first, and then take some time to work on a passion project or task that interests you more than emails. Or if you work from home, you can clean in between getting work done. You'll still be productive, but in different ways. If you see doing your chores or running a much-needed errand as a “break” from work, you'll be twice as productive because you're still knocking things off your to-do list. Typically, to be the most productive you want to do as many similar or like activities as possible in a row. 7. Set Up Automated Systems The more you can automate, the less time you have to spend doing the same menial task over and over. While it may take some time up front getting a system set up, you'll be much more efficient and productive as a result. For example, if you are spending time sending emails each time a potential client comes from your site, you can automate the task by creating email templates and just tweaking it a little each time, or by setting up welcome workflows in an email marketing platform. Moving from procrastination to productivity often takes a shift in mindset. Embrace procrastination as part of your process and use these 7 tips to turn procrastination into productivity. Whether you're starting your day with time blocking, completing smaller tasks as part of a larger project, delegating tasks to others, or setting up streamlined systems, you can overcome procrastination to become a much more productive entrepreneur. Productivity versus procrastination is the ever-present angel and devil on our shoulders. The one voice in your head telling you that you should be more productive, and the other voice whispering devilishly to go ahead and watch another episode of your favorite show, that task can wait. But procrastination doesn't always have to be a negative thing, despite its bad rap. In fact, there are ways you can use it to your advantage! John Perry, an emeritus philosophy professor at Stanford, proposed an idea in 1995 called structured procrastination. His belief was that people who procrastinate are still doing useful things—they just need to learn how to be intentional about the little things they do to put off larger tasks. He argued that by putting structure around everything you do, important or not, you could trick your mind into getting the larger tasks done. Let's explore 7 simple ways you can utilize structured procrastination to turn procrastination into productivity. 1. Put Off Morning Tasks by Time Blocking If you aren't a “morning person”, it can be hard to get started in the morning, especially if you start your day early. Instead of diving into a larger task right away, try doing some time blocking as your first small task. Time blocking is blocking off time on your calendar for all your tasks, even breaks! It helps you to structure your day, so you know exactly what to work on in a given time block, so you don't need to waste your mental energy thinking of what to do next. Your time-blocked calendar could look something like: • 6:00am to 6:30am – Work out • 6:30am to 7:00am – Shower • 7:00am to 7:30am – Coffee and light breakfast • 7:30am to 8:00am – Time block calendar • 8:00am to 9:00am – Make prospecting calls • 9:00am to 9:15am – Prep for client meeting • 9:15am to 10:15am – Client meeting • 10:15am to 10:30am – Finish any actions from client meeting • 10:30am to 11:00am – Respond to emails • 11:00am – 12:00pm – Make prospecting calls • 12:00pm – 12:30pm – Eat Lunch • Etc. Having a laundry list of to-dos can be overwhelming, so setting aside a specific time for each activity takes away the burden of deciding when to do that task and makes you more intentional with how you utilize your valuable time. 2. Break a Larger Project Down into Smaller Tasks As you're blocking time on your calendar, you can break larger projects down into smaller tasks which makes them much easier to do and you feel like you are making good progress on your list of activities that need to be done. Let's say you're launching a new website and need to put final touches on it before you can launch today. The larger project is “launch a new website,” and smaller tasks could be giving the copy a final overview, making sure all images have alt tags for accessibility, double-checking that the DNS is set up for launch, reviewing the marketing email that is going out to clients and prospects, etc. With each small task you accomplish, you get closer to completing the larger project! 3. Tackle the Simplest Tasks First Tackling easier tasks first can help give you a sense of accomplishment, which will carry over to larger tasks. When you complete a simple task, that can lead to a flood of dopamine that will make you want to repeat the behavior. There's also a satisfaction that comes from checking off items from your to-do list, so if you give yourself easy things to check off, you may not be as likely to push off future tasks. However, don't put off the other tasks that make not be as easy because you are only doing the easier ones. 4. Delegate Tasks to Others The beauty of having a team around you is being surrounded by people with differing strengths. There may be tasks on your list that you're not looking forward to because you don't enjoy them, and you're not great at them. Instead of trying to get good enough to complete the task, learn to delegate all those tasks you aren't good at and don't enjoy it to a member of your team. In fact, by doing so, you'll be doing TWO things at once—the task will get done, and you'll get invaluable practice as a business owner trusting others to get the job done. To help you be even more effective and efficient, so you can achieve your goals at an accelerated rate, you can delegate more to your team members than you have or might think possible. Stop holding on to things that can be done by someone else and do only those activities that you can do and can't be done by anyone else. Stop doing revenue generation / business development avoidance activities and delegate more! Successful people are excellent delegators, so work at being an even better delegator and be even more successful. Set Aside Time for Inspiration There's a misconception that being productive means churning out tangible tasks. Letting your mind have creative space can not only motivate you to work on your to-do list, it's also vital as you lead the vision for your company. You may be someone who waits for inspiration to strike you, and that's totally fine! But it's also good to get into the practice of setting aside time to be intentional about being inspired. That might mean listening to podcasts, reading business books or self-growth books, doing yoga, meditating, or even going for a long nature walk. Another advantage of inspiration time is that you will come back feeling more refreshed and ready to attack the next task on your to-do list! 6. Mix in Different Types of Tasks Throughout the Day Some people do better focusing on one activity during the day, but you may do better mixing in different types of tasks. Work on one task for an hour, and then switch to another one. You could respond to emails first, and then take some time to work on a passion project or task that interests you more than emails. Or if you work from home, you can clean in between getting work done. You'll still be productive, but in different ways. If you see doing your chores or running a much-needed errand as a “break” from work, you'll be twice as productive because you're still knocking things off your to-do list. Typically, to be the most productive you want to do as many similar or like activities as possible in a row. 7. Set Up Automated Systems The more you can automate, the less time you have to spend doing the same menial task over and over. While it may take some time up front getting a system set up, you'll be much more efficient and productive as a result. For example, if you are spending time sending emails each time a potential client comes from your site, you can automate the task by creating email templates and just tweaking it a little each time, or by setting up welcome workflows in an email marketing platform. Instead of diving into a larger task right away, try doing some time blocking as your first small task. Time blocking is blocking off time on your calendar for all your tasks, even breaks! It helps you to structure your day, so you know exactly what to work on in a given time block, so you don't need to waste your mental energy thinking of what to do next. Your time-blocked calendar could look something like: • 6:00am to 6:30am – Work out • 6:30am to 7:00am – Shower • 7:00am to 7:30am – Coffee and light breakfast • 7:30am to 8:00am – Time block calendar • 8:00am to 9:00am – Make prospecting calls • 9:00am to 9:15am – Prep for client meeting • 9:15am to 10:15am – Client meeting • 10:15am to 10:30am – Finish any actions from client meeting • 10:30am to 11:00am – Respond to emails • 11:00am – 12:00pm – Make prospecting calls • 12:00pm – 12:30pm – Eat Lunch • Etc. Having a laundry list of to-dos can be overwhelming, so setting aside a specific time for each activity takes away the burden of deciding when to do that task and makes you more intentional with how you utilize your valuable time. 2. Break a Larger Project Down into Smaller Tasks As you're blocking time on your calendar, you can break larger projects down into smaller tasks which makes them much easier to do and you feel like you are making good progress on your list of activities that need to be done. Let's say you're launching a new website and need to put final touches on it before you can launch today. The larger project is “launch a new website,” and smaller tasks could be giving the copy a final overview, making sure all images have alt tags for accessibility, double-checking that the DNS is set up for launch, reviewing the marketing email that is going out to clients and prospects, etc. With each small task you accomplish, you get closer to completing the larger project! 3. Tackle the Simplest Tasks First Tackling easier tasks first can help give you a sense of accomplishment, which will carry over to larger tasks. When you complete a simple task, that can lead to a flood of dopamine that will make you want to repeat the behavior. There's also a satisfaction that comes from checking off items from your to-do list, so if you give yourself easy things to check off, you may not be as likely to push off future tasks. However, don't put off the other tasks that make not be as easy because you are only doing the easier ones. 4. Delegate Tasks to Others The beauty of having a team around you is being surrounded by people with differing strengths. There may be tasks on your list that you're not looking forward to because you don't enjoy them, and you're not great at them. Instead of trying to get good enough to complete the task, learn to delegate all those tasks you aren't good at and don't enjoy it to a member of your team. In fact, by doing so, you'll be doing TWO things at once—the task will get done, and you'll get invaluable practice as a business owner trusting others to get the job done. To help you be even more effective and efficient, so you can achieve your goals at an accelerated rate, you can delegate more to your team members than you have or might think possible. Stop holding on to things that can be done by someone else and do only those activities that you can do and can't be done by anyone else. Stop doing revenue generation / business development avoidance activities and delegate more! Successful people are excellent delegators, so work at being an even better delegator and be even more successful. Set Aside Time for Inspiration There's a misconception that being productive means churning out tangible tasks. Letting your mind have creative space can not only motivate you to work on your to-do list, it's also vital as you lead the vision for your company. You may be someone who waits for inspiration to strike you, and that's totally fine! But it's also good to get into the practice of setting aside time to be intentional about being inspired. That might mean listening to podcasts, reading business books or self-growth books, doing yoga, meditating, or even going for a long nature walk. Another advantage of inspiration time is that you will come back feeling more refreshed and ready to attack the next task on your to-do list! 6. Mix in Different Types of Tasks Throughout the Day Some people do better focusing on one activity during the day, but you may do better mixing in different types of tasks. Work on one task for an hour, and then switch to another one. You could respond to emails first, and then take some time to work on a passion project or task that interests you more than emails. Or if you work from home, you can clean in between getting work done. You'll still be productive, but in different ways. If you see doing your chores or running a much-needed errand as a “break” from work, you'll be twice as productive because you're still knocking things off your to-do list. Typically, to be the most productive you want to do as many similar or like activities as possible in a row. 7. Set Up Automated Systems The more you can automate, the less time you have to spend doing the same menial task over and over. While it may take some time up front getting a system set up, you'll be much more efficient and productive as a result. For example, if you are spending time sending emails each time a potential client comes from your site, you can automate the task by creating email templates and just tweaking it a little each time, or by setting up welcome workflows in an email marketing platform. Moving from procrastination to productivity often takes a shift in mindset. Embrace procrastination as part of your process and use these 7 tips to turn procrastination into productivity. When we first began to consider that we may need personal assistants, we discovered that we had some unexpected, and somewhat complicated, reservations. While the extra help would certainly have been welcome, we had a tough time justifying the hire in our minds. Hiring an assistant brought up an unexpected amount of mind junk, from outdated notions around a woman's role in the house to Emylee's very personal experience of her mom and nana owning a cleaning business, and it just seemed impossible to align the hire with our values. Add to that the terrible depictions of personal assistants that you saw in movies like The Devil Wears Prada, where PAs were always repeatedly degraded by their bosses, and the idea of hiring a personal assistant could easily make you feel like a monster.  It took us months and years to finally process and overcome these limiting beliefs and ultimately make one of the best decisions of our careers! Not only was hiring a personal assistant much more affordable and manageable than we expected, but we hadn't anticipated the amount of freedom, peace of mind, and brain space it would give us! No matter where you are in your career, hiring a personal assistant is likely a much more achievable goal than you realize. Bill Allen is the owner and CEO of Blackjack Real Estate  LLC, the CEO, and owner of 7 Figure Flipping, a real estate investor, a former Navy pilot, a husband, and a father of three boys. He operates from Nashville, Tennessee, and has amassed a large following of like-minded people who are either seasoned in the real estate industry or are new and need some guidance to reach their goals within a set time frame.As an entrepreneur at heart, Bill made his first move as a businessman, selling candies when he was only in middle school. An action that got him in trouble with the rules, but never dampened his love for owning and operating his own business. Pausing his business ventures, he went on to serve his country for 18 years as a Navy pilot, but his love for business would see him venturing into real estate after completing active duty and transferring to the Reserves. The introduction to real estate was a bitter-sweet experience for Bill who started by buying and renting a few houses, in the hopes that he could achieve financial freedom and plan early retirement. At first, his sole focus was on buying rental properties in Pensacola, Florida; however, the 20% bank loan interest rates and recurrent costs of property management forced him to rethink his strategy when he acquired his tenth house and saw that the profit wasn't adding up to what he had in mind. Going back to the drawing board, in 2014 he sold one of the properties he'd initially purchased to rent out and made a surprising $43,000. That's when the idea of flipping houses struck him and he decided to diversify his investment portfolio. This is only going to stress yourself. Take time to delegate some of those tasks to give yourself a break and free yourself to do more important things.Tip #2 - Create a To-do List - Every day, it's a good idea to create a to-do list for that day. This way you know what needs to be accomplished. Looking at the list will help you remember what you must do and as you check things off the list, it will keep you motivated to keep on going. Tip #3 - Plan for the Next Day - At the end of every day, it can be very helpful to plan for the next day. Figure out a schedule of tasks so you can put things to rest when you go to bed.Tip #4 - Organize Your Work Space - If you do any work at home, make sure that you are keeping your work space organized. If you keep things together and have a place for everything, you'll find it is easier to take care of business within your home. Start implementing these tips into your life and you'll see a huge difference in the time you have available and all that you accomplish.NUTRITIONLooking for help with losing weight? Help that goes beyond the usual lifestyle changes, portion control advice and exercise routines? Weight-loss supplements touting names like "fat burner" and "thermo max" can be enticing. But do they work? And even more important, are they safe?Here's some info on a few of the most popular ingredients currently in supplements for weight loss.ChitosanMade from the shells of lobsters, shrimp and other shellfish, chitosan is an indigestible fiber. It is supposed to help weight loss by binding with the fat you eat, blocking its absorption. However, studies do not support this claim. Side effects include constipation and gas. People with shellfish allergies should beware.ChromiumMost often present as chromium picolinate, it has been promoted to boost lean mass and decrease body fat. Though study findings have been inconclusive, an analysis of several studies recently concluded that supplementing with 200 to 400 micrograms of chromium picolinate could result in about a 2.5-pound weight loss per week in some people. Other studies have found a loss of body fat and an increase in muscle tissue, with no change in weight. Still others have found no effect at all. Though some laboratory studies have raised safety issues, a large number of human studies suggest it is safe.Citrus Aurantium (Bitter Orange)This herbal extract is a natural source of synephrine (a compound similar to ephedrine) and the supplement industry's current answer to the ephedra ban. But there are no published studies to show it is an effective supplement for weight loss. And like ephedra, its side effects include an increase in blood pressure; Environmental Nutrition recommends avoiding it.Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA)Both animal and human research hints at a possible role for CLA in reducing body fat and increasing lean body mass, but it's not quite ready for prime time. None of the human studies have been long-term. CLA is currently being studied in combination with chromium picolinate. CLA is found naturally in dairy foods and beef and is generally considered safe.Garcinia CambogiaThe extract from Garcinia cambogia fruit rind contains hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which supposedly curbs food intake, weight gain and storage of excess calories as fat. However, studies have failed to prove G. cambogia is an effective weight-loss aid. The most common side effects are upper respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms.GuaranaCaffeine is the effective ingredient in guarana plant seeds. Guarana may have a mild appetite suppressant effect over the short term. It was often used in combination with ephedra until ephedra was banned. The potential side effects are those of caffeine overdoseóinsomnia, restlessness, anxiety or panic.TRAININGThe Definition of Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Is this true for you and your fitness program? “Making a mistake once is called learning. Making it twice means you’re not learning.”  Be prepared! #39 How to delegate tasks & trust others with your business!

Hi everyone, it’s Claire O’Shea here and welcome back to another episode of The Business of Dance Podcast! I am proud to say that we are into our second week of our Studio Systems School and thus far the ladies are doing amazing! But for now let's dive into today's episode all about delegating tasks and important projects with team members, or possibly freelancers, and how to create a sense of trust with them. It can take time to gain trust when hiring others, especially when giving big tasks or responsibilities, which will reflect you and your business, and ultimately, your reputation. How can you gain this trust? Well in this episode I will let you in on my top tips by following my 5 T’s rule!   1.Truth: Be truthful in exactly who you want to work with and what you need help with Create ads that will stand out to the right individual This ensures you can hire the person who fits your criteria This filters out anyone who raises “red flags” or doesn’t feel they are right for the job Make sure you feel right about choosing someone to hire Ensure your values are aligned Be honest in what you are looking for and your standards Be kind, but speak your truth and those who resonate will get back to you This also extends to the interview itself, be honest with them and make sure you vibe well and can picture yourself working with and trusting this individual This goes for delegating tasks for team members who already work for you, and you trust enough to start delegating or adding more responsibilities to their current role At the end of the day, listen to your intuition and your gut instinct!   Test In the interviewing process, you can ask them to provide examples of either previous projects or work, or ask them to write, design, or create something new This shows their skills for the tasks you are wanting to delegate to them and if they match what you are looking for Testing them can see if they can also work well on their feet so to speak and how they can handle tasks and deadlines This also again extends to a current team member by giving a test to see if they can handle more responsibility If they provide something you are impressed with or you feel you can work with then you can then proceed to the next T… Trial If you are simply unsure about someone or wanting to see more, and I suggest doing this even if you are sure about someone, and that is to set a trial period This can be anywhere from a few projects/tasks to a couple weeks or even a month This will show how they work for you and with you in a longer span of time, how they communicate with you and the others in your team as well You can have a great interview and love their work but you can never really know how they will respond in the long term, after training and so on, so this is a great way to be sure they are a right fit After this trial period if you still feel right about this individual then you can proceed and if not be sure to let them know nicely that you do not feel that they are the best fit for your business and thank them for the work they have done thus far   4.Trust You may be thinking how is a tip to trust → but it is an extremely important part of the process Once hiring someone, and you are feeling good about them and their work, then it is time for you to give your trust to this individual and see how they respond to the level of responsibility you have given them Many times people can excel when given the trust and freedom to do the job they were hired to do in the first place (or even better than your wildest dreams)   Time At the end of the day even if you feel you have hired the right person, they passed all the ‘tests’ with flying colours, it takes time to develop a good work relationship and trust Only time can truly reveal one's true character so with delegating tasks to others, you can slowly increase responsibility and work up over time-based on their consistency with their duties Be patient with those you hire, because although we are all adults and need to show professionalism in the work environment, we are human at the end of the day Trust your gut and once you find your dream team, in time you will be able to delegate even more tasks, knowing your business is in good hands → this gives you the ability to scale and grow = more time for you!   I hope these 5 tips help you and remember to take your time when onboarding new team members and delegating tasks. With systems, trust & guidance eventually you will have your dream team and will be able to turn your studio into your dream dance empire! All of us want the benefits of delegation. Few of us want to pay the price to get it. That's partly because we're overloaded and in a hurry to get things off our plate. But it's also because we don't realize that that successful delegation is a slow, painstaking process that we have to invest in, in order to assure success from our team. On this episode, guest Sean Coyne shares his own struggle to learn the art of delegation and walks through 5 steps of successful delegation. If you master what Sean has to share you will set your team up for success over the long haul. Effective delegation is what fuels business growth. Every entrepreneur will face the point at which he/she simply cannot do another thing. That's the point when hiring a team member is essential if their efforts are to move forward. But locating the right person is just the first step. The new team member has got to be equipped to fulfill their new role in a way that is in alignment with the entrepreneur's expectations - and it's the entrepreneur's job to ensure that happens. On this episode, Sean Coyne describes what delegation is and what it isn't and gives you a 5 step process that can help you set your team members up for success. When you delegate tasks too soon, you demoralize your own team. It's very common for entrepreneurs to find themselves in a situation where their personal workload is more than they can bear alone - so they eagerly look for an assistant or team member who can take on some of those responsibilities. What happens next can be very ugly. The team member is dumped on. Their desk piles up with new responsibilities and they are ill-equipped to handle it. The result? The team member becomes overloaded just like the entrepreneur. What's worse is that the team member's morale plummets. What can you do to keep that from happening? Teach your team how to take on tasks systematically. On this episode, Sean Coyne shares how to do exactly that through effective delegation, so be sure you listen. There are 5 levels of delegation that build progressively upon each other. Like most things, good delegation requires a sequential building process by which a person is equipped, stage at a time, to take on the work they are being asked to do. It's a process that can't be rushed and requires almost constant communication, assessment, and equipping.
