Brayden reflects on his entrepreneurial journey, the evolution of go-to-market strategies for 2025 and beyond, and how AI is reshaping the landscape for marketers, founders, and sales teams. They dive into personal philosophies, balancing family with drive, using strategic gifting as a growth lever, and how connecting customers with prospects is transforming the sales cycle. If you're in the trenches of building or scaling a company, this episode is packed with invaluable lessons. Key Takeaways and Insights: 1. Human conversations > traditional sales decks: Connecting real customers with prospects accelerates trust and conversions. 2. Strategic gifting is about thoughtful timing, not splashy spend. Think: handwritten notes, trigger-based outreach, and lifecycle communications. 3. Reviews are great, but community-driven insights and live interactions are the future of software buying. 4. AI is shifting go-to-market: fewer people, more productivity. Understanding how to use AI is now table stakes. 5. Success is relative: It's not just revenue — it's freedom, fulfillment, and building something that lasts 6. Brayden's Personal Frameworks “Don't build in a silo” — Always validate with customers before building product. “Three People Rule” — The only people he calls for big advice: wife, mom, co-founder. “Suck It Up or Go for a Walk” — His motivational speeches with his wife. First-time employee comp tip: Pick a high milestone and negotiate for equity or secondaries if you hit it. Resources & Tools:
We don't tiptoe around culture. We don't apologize for conviction. We don't run from the furnace. We step in, shoulder to shoulder with the King.On today's C-Suite for Christ podcast, we talk about a man who lived it. Clayton Kershaw. Cy Young winner. World-class pitcher. But today, we celebrate something bigger than an arm. We celebrate a backbone. When the world told him to fit in, to fly the rainbow flag, to bow to comfort, Kershaw said, “No.” He didn't shout. He didn't rage. He wrote a Bible verse on his Pride-themed hat. Quiet defiance. Holy courage. The world mocked him. The critics lined up. The backlash was fierce. But he reminded a nation: JESUS IS STILL LORD. His is the only approval that matters.Brothers and sisters, what will you do when your moment of truth arrives? Will you wilt? Or will you stand?Buckle up. This one's raw, real, and rooted in truth.Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. (Galatians 1:10) Key Takeaways:10:50 - Isn't this rich? Isn't this all incredibly ironic? They want to bring sexual ideology into the stadium, but the moment someone brings in scripture, they call it offensive. They say, you're out of line. Now, let me be blunt here. So there's no ambiguity, so we're all on the same page. What they're really saying is that anything goes except Christianity. But guess what? There was also a groundswell of support. Christians across the country applauded him... But unlike certain publicity hounds in society today, Clayton wasn't looking for applause. He wasn't trying to be a culture warrior. He was just trying to be faithful. That's the mark of a true disciple. 22:39 - If you're more afraid of a hashtag than of hell, your priorities are way messed up. So many Christians are more afraid of what two people they've never met are going to say than spending eternity in hell. That stops now. And that starts with us.24:30 - Silence in the face of sin is complicity. Refusing to speak truth is refusing to love... You can't preach about grace and avoid judgment. You can't be a follower of Christ and refuse to carry His cross.Connect with Paul NeubergerWebsite

If your practice's collections aren't where they should be, it might not be because of fewer patients—it could be because your revenue is trapped in insurance company limbo. The truth? Without a rock-solid revenue cycle management (RCM) process, you're leaving money on the table… and adding stress to your team. In this episode of the Raving Patients Podcast, I sit down with Shreyas Parab, co-founder and CEO of Daydream, to explore how AI can revolutionize dental billing without removing the human expertise that keeps claims moving. Shreyas shares his unique perspective—shaped by growing up in his mother's small Medicaid dental practice—on why dental billing is a hidden bottleneck for many offices and how automating key steps can unlock both revenue and time. We break down what “human-in-the-loop” AI really means, how to verify insurance more efficiently, and why complete transparency in billing services is non-negotiable for cash flow health. We also dig into the broader role of AI in dentistry—what's working now, where the technology still falls short, and the untapped opportunities that could transform patient communication and education in the near future. Shreyas provides real-world examples of practices that have recovered hundreds of thousands in aged receivables by combining AI-driven workflows with experienced billers, and why this hybrid approach outperforms both in-house teams and traditional billing agencies. Whether you're currently outsourcing, doing billing in-house, or simply curious about what's possible, this conversation will give you the tools to evaluate your RCM strategy and future-proof your practice against the growing complexity of insurance reimbursement. Here are the interesting stuff we talked about in this episode: Automating bottlenecks works best with expert oversight. Pure AI isn't ready to replace billers—but it can triple their efficiency. Transparency is key. If you can't see exactly what's happening with your claims, you can't fix revenue leaks. Growth magnifies billing challenges. Expanding operatories, adding associates, or buying a new practice will strain in-house billing unless processes scale. Patient communication is an untapped AI opportunity. Future tools could educate patients before appointments, improving case acceptance and freeing up clinical time. David M Frees returns to the Podiatry Legends Podcast to share a powerful strategic tool borrowed from the military: Red Team, Blue Team, and Purple Team thinking. We discuss how podiatry businesses can use this method to identify vulnerabilities, defend against threats, and uncover growth opportunities – creating a more resilient and profitable practice. Learn more about Dave's Training at Business Black Ops. 9 Key Takeaways from this Episode: The Red Team's job is to identify vulnerabilities and potential attacks on the business. The Blue Team focuses on defending the business and finding growth opportunities. Combining both perspectives creates the Purple Team, where the best ideas are integrated. Podiatry clinics often fail to review the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Anticipating threats prevents panic when challenges arise. Inversion thinking helps identify what could destroy your business. Opportunities can be just as valuable as threat prevention. Having a facilitator improves the quality of Red/Blue Team sessions. Documenting scenarios and solutions creates a valuable reference for future challenges. If you found this episode helpful, share it with another podiatrist or business owner. What if the framework you're using to grow your business is the very thing holding it back? Today's guest, Michael Erath, founder of Next Level Growth, reveals why systems like EOS and Scaling Up, while helpful, often become a cage for elite entrepreneurs. Michael grew a $45M company, lost it all to fraud and a financial crisis, and came back stronger with a custom-built framework that now helps other businesses scale without the chaos. In this episode, you'll hear how Michael bounced back from total collapse, why most entrepreneurs are aiming too low, and what makes his Five Obsessions of Elite Organizations framework a smarter, more adaptable path to sustainable growth. You'll also learn why effort is your responsibility, how to rethink coaching ROI, and why pricing strategy should never be an afterthought. If you've ever felt boxed in by traditional systems or know your business is capable of more, this conversation will show you how to build the kind of company others can't compete with. Kris is joined by longtime friend, business visionary, and rockstar early childhood leader Rachel Supalla. Rachel is the founder of Vision Tree, a TEDx speaker, and the author of The Playful Leader's Toolkit, a book packed with wisdom on leading with joy, grounding, and energy. With 10 schools across Montana and Utah, Rachel shares how she's scaled her business while embracing what she calls “ruby slipper leadership.” They talk about managing energy instead of time, why remote teams need tight leadership structures, and how playfulness is more than just dress-up — it's a strategy for productivity. Rachel also opens up about living with ADHD and how it shapes her leadership style, creativity, and drive. Key Takeaways: [5:26] Rachel shares her evolution from center owner to coach and consultant, and how joining the Child Care Success Academy changed her career path.[6:36] She talks about scaling rapidly across three regions and how Vision Tree emerged as her consulting and leadership training brand.[9:05] Rachel loves lake life and is a proud mom of four kids and grandma to baby Zeke. [10:39] Fun fact: Rachel's trip with her grandma (who some thought was her sister) to Ireland at age 13, including a spontaneous solo in a pub, was an early clue that she'd someday take the stage.[12:46] Rachel explains how The Playful Leader's Toolkit came out of her ADHD-fueled trial-and-error experiences, and why she believes burnout is not a badge of honor. [14:12] Ruby slippers became a metaphor for grounding, confidence, and leadership clarity, especially in high-pressure seasons. Once you've got the right shoes on, you can do anything! [16:41] Managing energy (not just time) helps Rachel structure her day and lead effectively, especially as a neurodivergent leader. [20:24] She breaks down the “max of 10” rule for direct reports and why it protects leadership bandwidth across large teams.[24:34] Rachel gives a deep dive into her favorite systems: Playground, JotForm Enterprise, Teachable, and Zapier.[27:16] Playfulness isn't fluff — it's a mindset that supports innovation, brain-based leadership, and mental reset when teams are stressed.[32:03] Rachel walks through her M.A.G.I.C. framework, the five pillars of playful leadership. [35:40] Doing a TEDx Talk was terrifying and transformational; the unexpected outcome was a deeper conversation about ADHD and leadership. [39:15] Rachel shares her seasonal schedule, non-negotiables like football and summer in Montana, and the power of team infrastructure. [41:48] She teases her upcoming course, focused on helping women scale their culture without losing their soul. Quotes: “I think that's probably where I learned the most about how to run a remote team, was being an employee for the Child Care Success Academy.” — Rachel [7:46] “You go up the ladder in life when you're succeeding and you're accomplishing, and you get to this level of contribution, and that's the level that I feel like I'm at. And I want to give back. I want to help people do it faster, the right way, from my mistakes. So that's what inspired me to write my book.” — Rachel [13:46] “That's when I'm most productive, when my energy is managed. It doesn't have anything to do with time. You can have time blocked. You can have all the time in the world. But if your energy sucks, you're not going to get anything done.” — Rachel [17:46] “I think that's been the biggest thing, learning to manage my energy.” — Rachel [18:29] “From the beginning, we have learned to automate, delegate, eliminate.” — Rachel [21:10] “Play is not just, let's dress up and have a potluck. It's a mindset.”— Rachel [26:15] “I am very passionate about this playful leadership concept. It's an idea. It's silly to some, it's weird to others, and it's powerful to others. And I really do think that if you embrace it, it's going to change the way we teach children, it's going to change the way we lead our companies, and it's going to make the world a more happy, innovative, creative place, which is what we're lacking right now, and so I am very passionate about that.” — Rachel [36:48] Sponsored By: ChildCare Education Institute (CCEI) Use code CCSC5 to claim a free course! This isn't just another episode… it's a milestone. Today we celebrate 100 episodes of conversations where faith, family, and identity intersect — and where God's truth and love meet in powerful ways. When The Bridge Between Us began, the goal was simple: ✅ Help one parent feel less alone. ✅ Give one family hope. ✅ Keep one heart connected to Jesus. God has done that — and so much more. In this special episode, Melinda looks back at key lessons learned from the past 100 conversations, honors the guests and listeners who have made this community what it is, and shares four powerful reminders for standing firm in God's truth while loving without fear. 4 Key Takeaways from 100 Episodes Never underestimate the power of listening. Testimonies build faith, compassion, and wisdom for how to pray for and love others well. Trust God's timing and ways. His methods are often unexpected but always purposeful. Grace and truth are not enemies. Both are essential for real transformation. We're not so different from those we're praying for. Healing starts with letting God minister to our own hearts. Daniel 11:32b — “But the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.” Reflection Challenge This week, take one intentional step to celebrate what God has done in your life on this journey. Grab a journal or note card and answer: How has God strengthened you along the way? How has He revealed Himself to you? What Scripture has He given you to stand on? Write it out and commit it to memory. Episode Resources
In this Throwback episode, Josh, a seasoned entrepreneur, is interviewed by Chad Franzen of Rise 25. Josh shares five costly mistakes he made scaling his Amazon-based business, including over-diversifying sales channels, hiring without clear roles, delaying process documentation, underinvesting in talent, and launching unoriginal products. Their candid discussion offers actionable lessons for 6-7 figure business owners aiming for 8 figures: focus on your best channels, hire strategically, document processes early, invest in quality talent, and prioritize innovation. Listeners gain practical insights to avoid common pitfalls and accelerate their path to greater scale and profitability.Chapters:Introduction & Overview of 5 Mistakes (00:00:00)Josh introduces the five major mistakes he made in his entrepreneurial journey.Mistake 1: Over-Diversifying Sales Channels (00:01:09)Josh discusses spreading efforts too thin by moving from Amazon to Shopify and Etsy, and the resulting lack of success.Mistake 2: Hiring Without Clearly Defined Roles (00:04:01)Josh explains hiring people without clear roles, leading to ineffective hires and wasted resources.Mistake 3: Waiting Too Long to Document Processes (00:06:13)Josh talks about delaying documentation of business processes, which hindered scalability and efficiency.Mistake 4: Hiring at the Cheapest Rate Possible (00:08:05)Josh describes the pitfalls of trying to hire the cheapest talent, and the benefits of investing in quality hires.Mistake 5: Launching "Me-Too" Products (00:10:46)Josh shares lessons from launching unoriginal products and the importance of unique, differentiated offerings.Key Takeaways & Ideal Process (00:12:48)Josh summarizes the main lessons learned and outlines the ideal process he wishes he had followed.Closing Remarks (00:15:37)Chad and Josh wrap up the episode and thank each other.Links and Mentions:Tools and WebsitesAmazonShopifyEtsyTranscript:Josh 00:00:00 For everybody listening. You're able to avoid these mistakes that I made and help you move faster in your own journey as an entrepreneur. So let's talk about mistake number one is thinking that I have to be diversified in every sales channel, possibly or possible out there. Okay. Number two is going to be hiring people without having like clearly defined roles and probably hiring people to just solve a problem without me actually understanding the problem and very clearly defining that role. Number three is going to be waiting too long to document the processes in my business. And then number four is hiring trying to hire people at the cheapest rate possible. And then number five is launching or creating me two products that aren't 100% original or unique. So those are going to be like the five big mistakes that I'd love to share with the audience today. Today I am excited. I have Chad Franzen in here of rise 25, who has done hundreds of interviews with successful entrepreneurs and CEOs. We have flipped the script and he will be interviewing me today.Chad 00:01:09 Yeah. You know, when I hear you list those mistakes, I think, like, I think most people would probably think along the same lines, that you were thinking maybe when you first started making those mistakes. So I think it'll be very, interesting and informative to hear some kind of your journey regarding these mistakes. Why don't we start with the first one? Having you felt like you had to diversify the business and communicate through all channels. Tell me, maybe what your thought process was going in and why. That seemed like a good idea at the time.Josh 00:01:36 With Amazon, we were selling physical products, right? And we had this great idea that's like, hey, let's diversify ourselves. Let's go create a Shopify site. And then, hey, there's also this good opportunity on on Etsy where people are selling these digital files. And so we had this genius idea at the time that was like, okay, so many people talk about how, you know, physical products, brands, you know, so much crap gets tied up in inventory that cash flow becomes a problem.Josh 00:02:08 So, yeah, I think it would be great if we did just digital products. Let's go dominate that on Etsy. And then let's open up our own Shopify site. We can maybe sell some of our physical products there, but let's really sell these digital products. And again, we did this all out of fear and running away from Amazon, which was which was working great for us. So we end up going in and we spend literally we spent the last those next three years from 2017 until 2020, we spent building out our our Shopify site, which honestly like I think the best day we had was like maybe like 1 or $200, which is just like laughable. as we looked at Amazon, we're making, you know, thousands of dollars a day there. so we spent three years working on Shopify. Then we're like, oh, we just need to figure out this external traffic thing and drive more traffic to our own Shopify site. So then we build a blog, and I have no experience building a blog.Josh 00:03:07 So we spend an entire year working on a blog, hiring people for this blog that's making no money. And for this website, our Shopify site that's making absolutely no money for us. And we just continue to double down in the wrong place. All of our time and energy is focused on Shopify building a blog, growing our Instagram account so that we can feed traffic. We believed our problem was just that we weren't getting enough traffic and man, we just spent thousands of dollars, thousands of hours, with not only Becca and I, but our entire team trying to build this thing that really never took got off the ground. And but Amazon continued to churn out more and more revenue for us because we would we would continue to dip our toe in there. It's like, all right, it's maybe time to launch a new product. We would do it, but we could have been much more aggressive.Chad 00:04:01 Another mistake that you mentioned that you made was you felt like you you hired people, but you didn't give them clearly defined roles.Chad 00:04:08 Kind of take me back and tell me what that looked like at the time.Josh 00:04:11 Yeah. So again, it's it's the whole mistake that we made with trying to diversify our income. Right. So this was 2019 okay. And in 2019 we had we were working with a business coach. and she was like, yeah, if you guys want to run faster, like you should probably if you want to grow more, you should go hire people. Well, here's the mistake. Just saying you should go hire people is not necessarily the right answer. You need to clearly know who should I hire? Why should I hire them? And how is this going to free up my time so that I can go do more revenue generating activities? But we didn't have like, clearly defined roles? That said, this is what needs to happen. These this is your day to day responsibilities, and this is what success looks like for you and your role. So instead, what we did is we obviously needed help finding external traffic to grow our Shopify site.Josh 00:05:06 Right? So what I did is I tried to hire away this problem that we had. And so we paid close to six figure salary for somebody to come in. That was our marketing manager, and ideas were just bouncing all over the place and nothing was ever, like really sticking. It's like, hey, we want to grow our revenue here on Shopify. And anything that we really tested out, like nothing really got the ball rolling there. And so we ended up letting that marketing manager go. You know, less than a y...

We listen to all of them. “I'm not proud of my story because it's pretty—it's ugly. But I'm proud I'm still here.” — Emily What This Episode is About Emily opens up about what came next after the suicide attempts, what healing looks like on the ground level, and the daily work it takes to quiet the internalized voices of shame. She talks about masking, being in survival mode, and the confusion of being a high-functioning person with severe depression. You'll also hear about her struggles in romantic relationships, what it felt like to have emotional abuse reinforced in adulthood, and how becoming a parent inspired her to change the narrative in her family line. SEO Keywords: Suicide attempt recovery, high-functioning depression, emotional abuse, trauma-informed parenting, mental health support, post-attempt healing, invisible pain, self-worth, generational trauma, PTSD recovery, inner child work, coping with shame, childhood emotional neglect Meet Our Guest: Emily Emily is a trauma survivor, a nurse, a mother, and a woman doing the hard work to heal while still showing up for everyone else. In Part 1, she shared her early struggles with mental illness, beginning with cutting at age 11 and two suicide attempts before she turned 21. In this episode, she takes us deeper into the “after”—into the quiet, messy, nonlinear work of recovery. She explains how her trauma carried into her adult relationships, how she learned to identify emotional abuse in real-time, and how she's slowly starting to believe she is worthy of being loved without condition. Emily's story is not tied up in a neat little bow—and that's precisely why it matters. Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/emmiewillyy/ 3 Key Takeaways You can look “fine” and still be in survival mode. High-functioning depression is real. Unresolved childhood trauma can impact every adult relationship. But awareness is power. Recovery is daily work. It's not a one-time decision; it's a commitment to stay. Actionable Items Use grounding tools when shame kicks in—like naming your feeling out loud or writing it down. Audit your relationships for emotional safety: Do they help you grow or keep you in patterns? If you're struggling, reach out to someone. You don't have to wait until you're in crisis to ask for help. Chapters & Time Stamps [00:01:22] Living With the Aftermath Emily reflects on what life looked like after her second attempt and why she thought she had to act “fine.” [00:04:45] The Masking We Learn The dangers of pretending everything is okay, even when it's not—and how people missed the signs. [00:09:12] Surviving Toxic Love Emily shares her experience with emotionally abusive relationships and how it mirrored her childhood. [00:21:30] Parenting as a Cycle Breaker What she's doing differently to raise her daughter with emotional honesty and safety. [00:29:55] Healing Isn't Pretty The real, gritty parts of staying alive—and staying connected to yourself. Welcome to the start of our SIX PART SERIES, "Communication Lies Leaders Believe." In this episode, Tammy J. Bond tackles a common and costly workplace myth: the idea that an employee who says they're "overwhelmed" simply needs more support. Tammy reveals: when a direct report can't articulate their workload, they're not overwhelmed—they're underperforming and avoiding accountability. Tammy provides a practical, no-nonsense strategy to get to the root of the problem. She introduces the "Squeeze Technique," a method to transform excuses into ownership. It's about providing the clarity, structure, and accountability people need to succeed. Tammy challenges leaders to stop avoiding tough conversations and start leading with clear expectations, because overwhelmed does not equal accountability. Key Takeaways for Leaders Overwhelmed is the New Excuse: Recognize that "overwhelmed" is often used as a blanket statement to avoid accountability. It's up to you to dig deeper. The Squeeze Technique: Apply this strategy to press for specifics when an employee claims to be overwhelmed. Ask for details on their daily tasks, resources, and time management. Stop Babysitting: Your job isn't to put on a magic cape and solve their problems. It's to provide the clarity, tools, and accountability for them to solve it themselves. Avoidance vs. Support: Don't confuse avoiding a hard conversation with "keeping the peace." Your avoidance is actually enabling learned helplessness and resentment. Victim Mindset: The victim narrative ("I can't do it all") must be transformed into a framework of personal ownership and responsibility. The Power of Documentation: Use frequent, short meetings and follow-up emails to document expectations and deliverables. This serves as a foundation for accountability or necessary escalation. Ownership through Reflection: Flip an employee's excuses by asking them to reflect on their role in the situation, turning their focus from external factors to internal responsibility. In This Episode, You'll Learn How to identify when an employee is underperforming versus truly overwhelmed. The "Squeeze Technique" to get specifics and expose lack of follow-through. Why avoiding difficult conversations about performance leads to resentment and drama. Practical steps for setting clear expectations and daily check-ins to foster accountability. How to use documentation to support your leadership decisions and escalation processes. [38:24] The majority of white-collar workers may become redundant in the next 10 years; only the most creative and adaptable roles will remain. [49:26] Leaders must invest in AI education and create open cultures to ensure their teams’ future success—even beyond their current organization. [25:35] Khullani warns against over-reliance on AI: “Be mindful of striking a balance and ensuring that your own amazing, extraordinary cognitive critical thinking analysis, synthesis skills…that you don’t abdicate all of that beautiful capacity and capability by overlying on the tools.” Quote of the Show [25:35]:“We are seeing human intellectual ability degrade in real time as we outsource more of our thinking to the machines and to the algorithms. I would be very mindful of striking a balance and ensuring that you don’t abdicate all that beautiful capacity and capability by overlying on the tools.” — Khullani Abdullahi Join our Anti-PR newsletter where we’re keeping a watchful and clever eye on PR trends, PR fails, and interesting news in tech so you don't have to.
