In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, the tables are turned as our good friend Jacinta Tynan interviews Tory and daughter Bella Archbold in this Mother's Day special edition. Jacinta is a journalist, presenter and author and has also been a guest on the Powerful Stories podcast. As a mum of two young boys so she also knows a thing or two about the juggle. Bella, from 9 months old, has been a part of the team as Tory was a single mother who ran her global business Torstar, so the juggle was real! ‘It was tough, it was unexpected but we made it work and I often look back and wonder how I did it' says Tory. So, what was this experience like for Bella? ‘Having a strong female advocate in my life definitely helped shape me into the person I am today because Mum showed me the value of strong will power – she inspires me to be a strong as she is. Without that, I wouldn't be the woman I am today.'  After years of trauma and wearing two masks both Bella and Tory shared their powerful story in Marie Claire Magazine a few years ago. Bella has been strengthened through the tough times they have experienced together. Tory says, ‘I told her to trust me, trust the process and trust herself. But we did the hard work to get there. And, it makes me happy to know that she did and is better for it.' It all came back to communication. Tory explains ‘I sat Bella down and asked her – what do you want and what can I create for you that is going to give you a foundation, not only as you move into your teens but as you move into adulthood, and as you form your own relationships.' Tory discovered that during the process no one was listening to Bella ‘but I made a promise that I would always listen to her.' Bella shares that ‘I'm so glad that I was part of the process otherwise I would have been oblivious and I wouldn't be who I am today.' Bella and Tory have a unique bond and mutual respect for each other. They sat down and discussed what they wanted family life would look like, for them both and into the future. ‘the number one thing that came out for us was that we wanted unconditional love. We had the opportunity to create a platform for the next generation to feel empowered to find their place in the world.' says Tory.  So, what is it that Bella admires most about her mum? ‘Her passion for everything she does. The communication she has with me and our bond, and her love for everyone and everything she does. Because without those three things she wouldn't be who she is today.'  ‘Bella grew up with a working mum and from a very young age she was very switched on and would tell me who I needed to connect with' says Tory ‘and I've always said to her it is so good to make mistakes – because you only make them once - and when you learn from those lessons you level-up.' So, does Bella have regrets about how her childhood played out? ‘I'm very grateful for the experiences I had as a child' says Bella, ‘without experience you can't be who you are – you can't be your true self. Everything you go through is one step forward into becoming a better version of yourself.' And finally, we get a snapshot of Jacinta's new book coming out in July 2021 – ‘A Single Mothers Social Club' where she interviews over 40 single mums to share their story.  So, sit back and enjoy an insight into this powerful mother Daughter duo – Tory and Bella Archbold.  Links: Sign up to the Powerful Steps #coffeechallenge to gain Tory's proven formula for building a global network, with three coffee dates a week. How to tune in and return back to yourself to change the world rather than focusing on what others are doing. Sacred Fire, Savanna Supernuts & Getting Down to Earth with Zac Efron with Darin Olien   Power Quotes From The Show The Beauty of Divine Intervention "When you go through the divine intervention where you have been resisting the truth of your being, the truth of your traumas, and you have been living with the veil over your head so tightly covering your third eye and living so tightly shrouded in ego and denial - once all of those systems get obliterated and you are forced to see the truth of yourself, you can't ever go back to untruth and denial any more. It can be uncomfortable but it's worth it because now you can navigate that whole spectrum of emotions and feelings. You also learn that once you get yourself through that portal of initiation, it is a magnificent process. I cannot go back to denial because it put me on a path of being unaligned with my purpose and everything else in my life." - Alyson Charles   The Planetary Practice of Shamanism "Shamanism holds within it the truths across all time and all ways of both planet and all of the universes. It truly is a planetary practice that is about oneness and acceptance and unconditional love. Thus, it is an invitation for all beings." - Alyson Charles   How to Reveal Your Core Animal Power & Guides "To call upon your core animal, the one that has been assigned to you for your entire life, it's a very sacred meeting and if you haven't done that yet my recommendation is to do a true shamanic journey which comes with Animal Power. You can do the journey at different times in your life depending on what you are going through and if you need a certain type of guidance, another animal will come into your life for however long you need it. If you have a meditation practice already, you can simply sit in meditation and call for the animal that wants to most serve you in your life right now but everyone receives the message differently. You might visualize or hear its name spoken in your ear. Then go to Animal Power and use it as your reference guidebook." - Alyson Charles Links From Today's Show Animal Power by Alyson Charles Ceremony Circle Podcast 285 Luke Storey | Plants & Breathwork: Welcome To The Jungle 361 Luke Storey: Relationships, Consciousness, & Coming Home To Yourself Abraham Hicks Soul Callings & Earthly Initiations: The Path of the Woman Shaman with Marie Mbouni Boyd Varty Solocast | A Victim of Intellectualization & The Wisdom of The Heart Sacred Fire, Savanna Supernuts & Getting Down to Earth with Zac Efron with Darin Olien Field Tripping: Great Spirit Peyote | Alyson Charles Connecting With Your Power Animals Through Modern Day Shamanism with Alyson Charles What is Shamanism? That's a huge part of the spiritual path, really learning to trust the whispers of the wind"   About Alyson: Internationally renowned Shaman, Best-Selling Author and Host of Ceremony Circle Podcast, Alyson Charles, went from being a national champion athlete, top-rated radio host and national daytime television talk show host, to aligning with her calling as a Shaman after a traumatic moment provided her awakening. Since then, her ability to share ancient sacred wisdom and divine energy and be a powerful catalyst for change ignited a global phenomenon. Forbes has called her both “a leading Shaman for expanding others into their full gifts and power” and “a full-fledged guide into your psyche,” Oprah Magazine named Alyson's guided Shamanic journey "a top meditation to try," Huffington Post championed her as “a top limit-breaking female founder,” Dazed Magazine named her “one of the top seven wellness accounts on Instagram” and Marie Claire Magazine selected her as the cover story and "the next big thing." Alyson devotes her life to living by the calls and directives of Source, spiritual immersions and expansions and preserving ancient wisdom practices and traditions, while simultaneously honoring the precise way her Earth mission is to work in these modern times. Alyson's shamanic medicine and calling works directly with the wisdoms of Great Mother Earth and Great Spirit/Source (where the name she was instructed to use, Rock-Star Shaman, comes from), honoring the sacred truths of our planet and supporting the preservation of cultures and rituals (from astral and Earth) that unite humans more deeply with their Divine power within, oneness with all that is, our planet and the unseen realms. Alyson is often called to share these teachings and transmission to very large, mass audiences, through various media channels and to the mainstream in powerfully creative ways. In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, the tables are turned as our good friend Jacinta Tynan interviews Tory and daughter Bella Archbold in this Mother’s Day special edition. ‘It was tough, it was unexpected but we made it work and I often look back and wonder how I did it’ says Tory. So, what was this experience like for Bella? ‘Having a strong female advocate in my life definitely helped shape me into the person I am today because Mum showed me the value of strong will power – she inspires me to be a strong as she is. Without that, I wouldn’t be the woman I am today.’  After years of trauma and wearing two masks both Bella and Tory shared their powerful story in Marie Claire Magazine a few years ago. Bella has been strengthened through the tough times they have experienced together. Tory says, ‘I told her to trust me, trust the process and trust herself. But we did the hard work to get there. And, it makes me happy to know that she did and is better for it.’ It all came back to communication. Tory explains ‘I sat Bella down and asked her – what do you want and what can I create for you that is going to give you a foundation, not only as you move into your teens but as you move into adulthood, and as you form your own relationships.’ Tory discovered that during the process no one was listening to Bella ‘but I made a promise that I would always listen to her.’ Bella shares that ‘I’m so glad that I was part of the process otherwise I would have been oblivious and I wouldn’t be who I am today.’ Bella and Tory have a unique bond and mutual respect for each other. They sat down and discussed what they wanted family life would look like, for them both and into the future. ‘the number one thing that came out for us was that we wanted unconditional love. We had the opportunity to create a platform for the next generation to feel empowered to find their place in the world.’ says Tory.  So, what is it that Bella admires most about her mum? ‘Her passion for everything she does. The communication she has with me and our bond, and her love for everyone and everything she does. Because without those three things she wouldn’t be who she is today.’  ‘Bella grew up with a working mum and from a very young age she was very switched on and would tell me who I needed to connect with’ says Tory ‘and I’ve always said to her it is so good to make mistakes – because you only make them once - and when you learn from those lessons you level-up.’ So, does Bella have regrets about how her childhood played out? ‘I’m very grateful for the experiences I had as a child’ says Bella, ‘without experience you can’t be who you are – you can’t be your true self. Everything you go through is one step forward into becoming a better version of yourself.’ And finally, we get a snapshot of Jacinta’s new book coming out in July 2021 – ‘A Single Mothers Social Club’ where she interviews over 40 single mums to share their story.  So, sit back and enjoy an insight into this powerful mother Daughter duo – Tory and Bella Archbold.  Links: Sign up to the Powerful Steps #coffeechallenge to gain Tory’s proven formula for building a global network, with three coffee dates a week. In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast Tory Archbold chats to Lizzie Renkert, co-founder of We Are Kindred.  Lizzie spent 18 years at the top of her media career working at Marie Claire Magazine and then as the Editor of Madison Magazine. The media landscape hit a crisis and when Maddison closed Lizzie hit rock bottom. ‘When Maddison closed, I was devastated, I was also pregnant so looking for a job was hard. I was at a crossroads.’ Seeing a gap in the market, Lizzie teamed up with her sister Georgie to start We Are Kindred. ‘The first couple of years of Kindred were really exciting as you are building something from scratch, so there is nothing to compare it to and you just see growth.’ Lizzie explains this was a very different experience from the world of magazines where she witnessed year on year decline.  When COVID hit their global business she needed to step into her true power to survive and found herself optimistic. She says ‘I wanted to find a way to continue to engage with our loyal customer base – they are not just people that buy clothes. It is a community, who we have an emotional connection with’. She began to focus on human connection and found this loyalty with her customers helped turn the challenge of Covid into a possibility of growth with her local distribution network.  Whenever you start a business, there are lifestyle compromises, even if you are working from passion in your heart. Lizzie says, ‘Working in the corporate world there are incredible benefits, but the advantages of working for yourself far outweigh the difficulties.’ Mother guilt was a big part of Lizzie’s life when she was in corporate - but over time she has learnt what she needs to do to care for not only herself but for her family. ‘Now that I know myself better, I know how to manage the overwhelm. I have great relationships and that  contributes to my happy outlook.’ So, what are Lizzie’s three most powerful tools she has learnt in 2020 to make the challenges appear like speed humps? Well, she has learnt that you are more resilient than you think. The hard times will come but they will pass. No idea is a good idea until you try it. She encourages us to, ‘trust your gut’. These are the small steps you can take to enjoy success in 2021. And finally, Lizzie shares what loves about taking powerful steps towards the future you want. In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, I will be talking about the Power of Connection and how you can truly attract what you deserve and build a powerful global network. To start, I share with you how my life drastically changed when, in 2018, I decided to share my personal story with Marie Claire Magazine. At the top of my game, I was connecting with powerful brands like Victoria Secret, Steve Madden and Drew Barrymore, but I knew in my heart of hearts that I was ready for a new beginning. I was ready to step out of my comfort zone and become bold, courageous, fearless and authentic in who I was. How did I open this new chapter? Well, I stepped into my values - passion, integrity, and delivery. ‘I know what I want and know that I can attract what I deserve’.  Aligning with my values, I was able to step into my intention of building a global platform for female entrepreneurs looking to transform their lives through Powerful Steps. ‘My purpose is to teach people like you, through powerful conversations and extraordinary stories, that nothing is impossible. Everything in life has a possibility attached to it. How you view a challenge and translate it into a possibility is the answer to you getting what sets your heart on fire and actually translating that dream into reality. And I am living proof it can be done.’   So, what is my advice for creating a global brand and becoming a super-connector? Well first, as we work in a virtual world, we need to be visible and have a stand out brand. Invest in a strong bio and show others what your superpower is, and finally, we need to connect.   I breakdown my three weekly coffee dates, so you can clearly see how you too can build a powerful network where life’s opportunities naturally flow towards you. You’ll hear examples of how a humble coffee date (or Martini) can change your whole life. So, sit back and as I share with you the power of connection. Much love, Tory Archbold. Welcome to this week’s episode of Women of the Military Podcast. My guest this week is not a female veteran, but is the author of Beyond the Point that is a novel focusing on 3 female cadets and their journey through West Point and beyond. I had an opportunity to read her novel and wanted to share it with all of you and talk to Claire about her military background and how this story came to be. Claire Gibson is a writer based in Nashville, Tennessee. Born and raised at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Claire went on to study Political Science and Asian Studies at Furman University, where she was recruited by Teach for America to be a middle school history instructor. In 2012, she left the classroom to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a writer. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post, The Tennessean, Marie Claire Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine and many others. BEYOND THE POINT is her debut novel. Claire was at West Point from 1997 to 2003 she was 10 when they arrived and 16 when she left. She also was there during September 11th. A pivotal time as the cadets who joined prior to that day. Her mom had an open-door policy that allowed the cadets to escape West Point life and spend time at their home. She admired the cadets she met and has kept in contact with them to this day. And they were the ones who asked her to write this novel. The novel is a fictional story of three female cadets who attended West Point, but it is based on experiences that happened to women who attended West Point. So, though the experiences may not have happened to three women, they are experiences that women have faced or experienced. And even Claire’s mom’s experience is woven into the story too. As a female veteran I enjoyed the book because I related to so many of the experiences or had heard of women, I knew experiencing things mentioned. I also learned a lot about what it was like to be a cadet at West Point and other things going on during the war. She hopes people walk away from reading Beyond the Point having a better understanding of what the military is like and possibly bridge the gap between service members and civilians. But she also wants women to see the value of friendship and community. The book shares the story of three women and shows how important friendship is throughout their journey. If you are interested in reading the book please check out my affiliate link with Beyond the Point: A Novel">Amazon here. And if you are in the DC area and would like to meet Claire she will be at Politics and Prose at the Wharf on April 30th at 7. I’ll be there! It's a pleasure to welcome Sarah Kunst to the program.

On this weeks episode of Culturation™ we speak with the “Change Agent”, Kate Atwood. We discuss overcoming adversity, leadership with love and being the change. Kate was 12 years old when her mother passed away after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Twelve years later she founded Kate’s Club, a nationally-acclaimed not-for-profit organization that provides support to children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. Recognizing first-hand the importance of support after such a life changing event, Kate’s vision was to build a place for grieving children to have fun, develop friendships, and learn to cope with their loss. What started in the summer of 2003 at a bowling alley with just eight kids is today an organization that has served thousands of children and their families through year-round social and emotional support programs. Her first book, entitled “A Healing Place: Help Your Child Find Hope and Happiness after the Loss of a Loved One” was released by Penguin Books. Following a successful founder transition in 2010, Kate went on to serve as the Executive Director of the Arby’s Foundation. While at the helm of the Arby’s Foundation, Kate refocused its efforts on a new strategic mission that more closely aligned with the Arby’s brand and helped the organization contribute more than $18 million to ending childhood hunger in the United States. In September 2015, Kate joined the Metro Atlanta Chamber, as Vice President of Marketing, to lead the recently launched ChooseATL initiative. In this newly created role, Kate is responsible for focusing the region’s narrative to showcase all that metro Atlanta has to offer with the purpose to attract and retain top talent. Kate has participated in her fair share of media along the way. She has been featured in People Magazine, Real Simple Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, Huffington Post, and has had appearances on the Today Show, the Meredith Vieira Show, CNN, and ABC-TV’s The View. She was recognized in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s feature “Up and Comers: Top 40 under 40”, and was honored by Georgia Trend Magazine as one of Georgia’s “40 under 40.” In 2013, she was named to GOOD Magazine’s global “GOOD 100” list for her commitment to helping others. Kate has been featured in six books as a thought-leader on personal giving and social entrepreneurship. #KateAtwood #Culturation #PoweredByPremier #Entrepreneur #NonProfit #Atlanta #WeAreATL #Innovation #JustinEpstein

Today I chat with Sunhee Park of http://www.ESPsychics.com about aliens and world peace! Very interesting! Sunhee and Chinee Park are twin psychics out of LA who just happen to be two of the top rated psychics in the States. Check out their fantastic website at http://www.ESPsychics.com Korean, identical twins Chinhee and Sunhee Park are both psychic, mediums, empaths and energy healers. Born in Seoul, Korea, they were adopted by an Italian and Irish family at the age of two. Chinhee in Korean means “Big Heart” and Sunhee means “Full of Life”. Their two energies combined are enough to give one person a burst of positive, healing, and loving energies. How They Got Started Both Chinhee and Sunhee recognized their gifts of clairvoyance, empathy, telepathy, and mediumship at a young age. At 15, they both had the same dream of their mother dying from Cancer. Their prediction came true shortly after. At 19, the twins started to exercise more of their abilities within the entertainment industry. It was during this time that they were spotted in the streets of Manhattan by an NBA basketball player and talent agent. This talent agent sent them on auditions for small parts in Law & Order, MTV, TBS, Independent Films as psychics, Estee Lauder Shoot, Got Milk Twins, Marie Claire Magazine, Book of Twins, Time, People, and many other international magazines and newspapers. That was an amazing experience for these two small town girls. However, they found themselves more interested in what was taking place behind the scenes and as a result soon took over their agent’s business. This agent was amazed at their ability to know what actors or models were going to get booked for a specific project. At 21, they were considered the youngest talent managers in the industry and the only company who specialized with "ethnic" and "real" people. The twins also worked for a boutique business management firm that represented A-list celebrities such as Raquel Welch, Judy Collins, NBA Basketball Stars, actors/models/artists. They also did aerial photography by hanging out of a Robinson R22 helicopter without a door. They shot riots, celebrity weddings, news coverage, the O.J. case and so on. Sunhee worked with NY-1 News assisting the Celebrity reporter for high society events, and movie premieres while Chinhee was at Paramount Pictures helping Don Johnson in casting his t.v. series. Their path took them to where they are today in the spiritual world. Reading Style Chinhee and Sunhee's NY Reading Style is direct, and to the point. They can read people from all walks of life. They have done phone sessions, live sessions, private parties, corporate parties, galleries, and lectures. Distance makes no difference, and both can help clients understand the “energies” you feel and show you how to organize your own abilities. Whether it is through advising on life’s issues, feeling a clients ailments or intuitively being able to communicate what will help a person in all different situations, the twins have a therapeutic touch. They also specialize in psychometrics, mediumship and energy healing. They psychically get to the root of your issues to begin the "healing process". Often complementing one another, they are like ying to yang sometimes, as they keep it real while making people laugh and cry for the healing process to begin. Old souls with youthful sounding voices, others can be deceived by how old they are and how long they have both been in the psychic business. Both have worked as psychic healers for over 14 years. At the core of everything they aim to accomplish is a desire to express to the world that everyone has a creative and psychic side to them, and their readings dig deep into the spirit and get to the root of issues that opens up to a “healing process”.
