SYNOPSIS: Ali is in the hot seat today! The tables have turned as longtime friend, student and Television Producer, Lauren Gleason, interviews Ali about her body-based method, Personal Geometry® - a practice she developed to give the body a language that our cognitive minds can immediately access and understand. Together, they explore how Personal Geometry® and body mapping techniques are used in therapeutic and clinical healing, particularly in addressing challenges related to the body, sexuality, and addiction. Ali shares how she refined her method while working in renowned rehab centres in Los Angeles, offering real-life examples of its impact and honoring the influence and her experience of Family Constellation Work. They discuss the power of mapping relational dynamics - how visualizing the roles we hold in family systems can illuminate unconscious patterns, especially in the context of addiction and trauma. Other topics explored include the common phenomenon of emotional incest, the challenges and call to work with perpetrators, sexual biases as a facilitator, and our universal need to belong. At its core, Personal Geometry® is a somatic practice that taps into the body's innate, felt-sense understanding of spatial relationships. By bypassing psychological defense mechanisms, it directly reveals how we unconsciously position ourselves in relation to others, environments, and internal conflicts. This non-verbal, embodied approach provides a clear and immediate visual representation of a client's inner world, making it an invaluable tool for therapists, facilitators, and anyone seeking profound transformation. Content note: This episode includes candid discussion of sexuality, trauma, and intimate bodily experiences.SYNOPSIS: In this rich and deeply human - and live event – conversation, Ali Mezey is joined by somatic sex educator and bodyworker Rahi Chun for an unscripted exploration of sexuality, trauma, pleasure, and the innate intelligence of the body. Together, they challenge symptom-focused approaches to sexual “dysfunction” and invite a more holistic understanding of libido, arousal, orgasm, and genital response as meaningful expressions of lived experience, safety, and relational history.Drawing from decades of professional and personal work, Ali and Rahi explore how early touch, attachment, trauma, shame, and cultural conditioning shape our sexual bodies – often long before sexuality itself is consciously understood. They discuss erectile challenges, orgasmic blocks, genital guarding, compulsive desire, pleasure ceilings, and the deep nervous-system need for safety that underlies sexual expression across all genders.Through stories, client examples, and embodied inquiry, the episode illuminates how patterns of arousal and shutdown are not failures, but adaptive strategies – and how making them conscious can open new pathways for choice, intimacy, and authentic pleasure. This conversation is a powerful invitation to move beyond performance, diagnosis, and shame, and toward a sexuality rooted in presence, agency, and embodied authenticity. In wanting to keep their anonymity, several attendees submitted questions and comments via chat.Rahi on my podcast: The Disarmed Body: Sexual De-Armoring with Sexological Bodyworker, Rahi ChunAli on Rahi's podcast: Your "Sex Problem" Isn't Sexual: It's Relational Geometry with Ali MezeyFOR MORE ALI MEZEY:ALI - WebsiteALI - LinkTreeTo read more about the next Personal Geometry® Foundations training FOR MORE RAHI CHUNBIO: Rahi combines his training and experience as a CA state-certified Somatic Sex Educator and Sexological Bodyworker, Certified TRE Provider, NeuroAffective Touch Practitioner, Life Coach with an M.A. in Spiritual Psychology, with certifications in Family Constellations Therapy, DeArmouring Arts, Chi Nei Tsang & Karsai Nei Tsang, and STREAM (Scar Tissue Remediation and Management) in his facilitation of Somatic Sexual Wholeness. It can have physical, psychological, relational, or somatic contributors and is distinct from general low libido.Genital De-Armoring – A somatic concept referring to the process of releasing muscular and nervous system defensesin the pelvic and genital regions that have developed in response to trauma, fear, or shut-down responses. It supports increased sensation, relaxation, and fuller access to pleasure and bodily presence.“La Petite Mort” – A French expression meaning “the little death,” traditionally used metaphorically to describe the sensations of release, surrender, and altered consciousness that can accompany orgasm. The phrase highlights the powerful emotional and physical release inherent in sexual climax.Ellen Heed: Embodied Autonomy; Scar Tissue Remediation expert“Things that fire together wire together” – A popular paraphrase of the principle from neuroscience and psychology often attributed to Hebbian learning, meaning that neurons that activate together strengthen their connections, forming lasting patterns in the brain and nervous system. It's widely used to explain how habitual patterns (emotional, cognitive, somatic) become embedded over time.Ivan Pavlov & the Dog Experiments – Ivan Pavlov was a Russian physiologist best known for discovering classical conditioning through his experiments with dogs. He observed that dogs would begin to salivate not only when food was presented, but also in response to neutral stimuli (like a bell) once those stimuli were repeatedly paired with food. This demonstrated how the nervous system learns through association—how experiences that occur together become linked. Pavlov's work laid the foundation for understanding how emotional, behavioral, and somatic patterns are formed, and why repeated pairings of sensation, emotion, and meaning can shape lifelong responses in the body.

Overpowering Emotions Podcast: Helping Children and Teens Manage Big Feels
Big feelings are not the problem. The real issue is when kids don't know what those feelings are for or what to do with them.In this episode of Overpowering Emotions, Dr. Caroline walks through how to help children and teens move from “I feel awful” to “Here's what I need and here's what I'm going to do.”You'll hear how to:Teach kids to read their body signals and name emotions with more precisionLink emotions to underlying needs, values, and goalsUse primary and secondary appraisal (Is this dangerous? Can I handle it?) to guide copingSpot when strategies are actually avoidance in disguiseBuild “if–then” plans so kids know exactly what to do when big feelings hitPractice emotion-focused vs. problem-focused coping without rescuing or over-accommodatingPerfect for educators, parents, and mental health professionals who want practical ways to match responses to kids' emotions and needs, build resilience, and stop reinforcing avoidance.Homework IdeasDaily Emotion–Need Check-InGoal: Link feelings → needs → possible actions. How: Once a day (morning meeting, bedtime, or session check-in), ask:o “What are you feeling?”o “Where do you feel it in your body?”o “What might this feeling be telling you that you need or want?”o “What's one small thing that might help?”Use an emotion wheel or your Emotional Literacy Workbook as a word bank.Helpful resource: Get the free Emotional Literacy Workbook PDF (https://korulearninginstitute.kit.com/emotionaliteracy) Primary vs. Secondary Appraisal PracticeGoal: Help kids sort “this feels huge” from “this is truly dangerous” and “can I handle it?”How: With a recent stressor (test, friend issue, gym class):Ask Primary appraisal questions:o “What makes this feel scary, hard, or unfair?”o “Is something actually unsafe, or does it mostly feel big?”Ask Secondary appraisal questions:o “Have you been in something like this before?”o “What helped even a tiny bit?”o “Who or what could support you this time?”Write answers together on a simple worksheet so they can see the pattern. Build an If–Then Coping PlanGoal: Turn vague coping into concrete, rehearsed responses. How: Pick one recurring trigger and script it: “If I start to panic before a math quiz, then I will:1. Put both feet on the floor2. Notice where the feeling is in my body3. Answer the easiest question first.”Practice this when calm, then in low-stakes situations, then in the real one. Body Mapping & Riding the WaveGoal: Increase interoceptive awareness and distress tolerance. How: Print a body outline. Ask the child to draw where they feel worry / anger / shame. Add words: “tight,” “hot,” “heavy,” “buzzy,” “pressure,” etc.During a mild spike, coach:o “Notice: stronger on the left or right?”o “Let's watch what happens for 60–90 seconds.”Track: Did it grow, stay the same, or drop? This normalizes “waves” and shows the nervous system can rise and fall without escape. Role-Play Triggers SafelyGoal: Let kids rehearse new responses without public shame. How: Ask: “What does your sibling/classmate do that really sets you off?”Recreate a version with you (e.g., you hum “Baby Shark” while they do homework).Guide them to:o Notice body cueso Label the feelingo Use their plan: drop into the body, self-coaching, opposite action, etc.Repeat until they can access the new response faster. “Even If…” Values StatementsGoal: Tie coping to what matters most, not just symptom reduction. How: Help kids finish:· “Even if I feel anxious, I'm still going to ____ because ____ matters to me.”· “Even if I feel left out, I'm still going to ____ because ____ is important to me.”Post their top 2–3 on a card, locker, or notebook.Revisit after exposures: “Did acting on your value help, even with the feeling there?”Enjoying the show? Overpowering Emotions Podcast: Helping Children and Teens Manage Big Feels
Kids say “I feel bad” all the time. But what does that actually mean for their brain and their behaviour? In this episode of Overpowering Emotions, Dr. Caroline breaks down how the brain builds emotions and why teaching kids to move from “I feel bad” to “I feel overwhelmed / uncertain / left out” is a game-changer for emotional regulation. Drawing on brain science and day-to-day stories from classrooms and families, she explains:· How the brain compresses huge amounts of sensory data into simple emotional categories· Why kids (and adults) often feel “angry” or “anxious” without knowing why· What “emotion granularity” is and how it gives kids more control over their reactions· The link between the body budget (sleep, hydration, exhaustion) and emotional meltdowns· Practical ways to help children notice body sensations and match them with accurate emotion words You'll hear simple tools you can use right away to build emotional literacy in homes, classrooms, and therapy sessions. Perfect for anyone who want science-based, relatable ways to help kids and teens understand what they're feeling and what to do about it.Free Resource (to help with homework below!): Emotional Literacy Workbook (https://korulearninginstitute.kit.com/emotionaliteracy)Homework IdeasDaily Emotion Check-Ins (Kids & Teens)Build short, regular emotion check-ins into the day—morning, midday, and evening at home; or every class / every hour at school.Ask: “How are you feeling right now?” then guide kids to move beyond “good/bad/mad” to a more specific word.“Where do you feel it in your body?” Build Emotion Vocabulary & GranularityUse the feelings wheel or emotion charts during the day when kids are calm, not only when they're upset.Play quick “name the feeling” games:“Pick one word from the wheel that matches how you felt at recess.” “Choose a word for how you feel before this test.” Body Mapping & Interoception PracticeDraw a simple outline of a body. Ask:“Where do you feel this emotion?”“What does it feel like there? Tight, heavy, buzzy, hot, cold?”Help kids link body cues to emotions and needs:“Heavy chest = overwhelmed?”“Jittery legs = excited or nervous?”Dr. Caroline's personal example from the episode:o A “crushing feeling” in her chest often signals overwhelm and too much on her plate.o A “breaking” feeling in her chest usually means exhaustion after very little sleep.o She then uses those cues to decide: “Do I need to reprioritize my day, or do I need to rest?” Body Budget Check Before jumping to “big emotion” explanations, check:Sleep: “How much did you sleep last night?”Hydration: “Have you had water today?”Food: “When was the last time you ate?”Load: “Is your day too full?”If a child says “I feel scared,” also scan for: Are they dehydrated? Exhausted? Hungry?Respond differently if the body budget is off (water, snack, rest, schedule changes) before jumping into problem-solving the situation. Adult Self-Practice: Modelling Emotion GranularityReplace “I'm just so stressed” with more precise language:“I feel overwhelmed because I have too much on my plate.”“I feel exhausted from not sleeping enough.”Say it out loud in front of kids so they see the full process: sensation → emotion word → action plan.· Turn Feelings into Action PlansOnce kids have named the emotion more clearly, ask about what they need. If they're unsure, help them brainstorm ideas:“If you feel left out, what might help? Inviting someone to play, talking to a teacher, or taking a break?”“If you feel overwhelmed, what do you need? Should we break this task into smaller steps?”Goal:o Move from broad “bad” to specific emotion + specific next step.o Repeat often enough that the brain learns this sequence as a habit.Enjoying the show? Episode SummaryIn this guided meditation, Dr. Betty Martin guides you to sit comfortably and place a small object in your hand, focusing on its shape, texture, and temperature. As you pay attention, you're encouraged to notice the sensations in your hand, shifting your focus from the object to your own sensory experience. You may use the object to gently touch or explore different parts of your hand, moving slowly to heighten awareness. The practice emphasizes going at your own pace, bringing your attention back if your mind wanders, and noticing any feelings that arise - such as pleasantness, curiosity, or even emotions like gratitude or sadness. The meditation can be practiced for about five minutes daily, helping you connect with your body and sensations in a gentle, mindful way.FOR MORE ALI MEZEY:ALI - WebsiteALI - LinkTreeFOR MORE BETTY MARTIN:BETTY - WebsiteBIO:Dr. Betty Martin has had her hands on people professionally for over 40 years (some of it legal and some of it questionable). 30 years of Chiropractic and other modalities, then later, 15 years of Somatic Sex Education and Surrogate Partner Therapy. The core of BDSM is enthusiastic, informed consent, negotiation, and a safety framework that includes "safewords" to pause or stop play and "aftercare" to help participants transition back after the scene.SHA - Sexual Health Alliance Annual Conference October 8-12th where both Betty and Ali will be presentingAASECT - American Association of Sexuality Educators, Councelors and TherapistsBODY BLOG: What Do and Don't Life and Sex Parties Have in Common? by Ali MezeyTanya Diamond - The Artificial Body? with TANJA DIAMOND: Love, Pleasure and AI – PART ONEFor another fantastic, and very different, conversation with Betty Martin, here's an episode from my buddies over at TabooTalks Podcast:https://tabootalks.sisociety.world/podcast/consent-is-sexy-with-dr-betty-martin/HOMUNCULOUS: A man-like representation of the body in the brainSENSORY/TOUCH Homunculus - RIGHT Brain“…the sensory receptors in your body are distributed unevenly. They are densely concentrated in the body parts where you need high acuity and dexterity, and sparse in parts where superior sensory resolution isn't paramount.“…Your finger maps take up one hundred times as much cortical real estate as your torso map because there is a hundred-to-one ratio of touch receptors in your fingers compared to your torso. The actual surface area of your skin where the sensations originate is irrelevant in apportioning your homunculus map; all that matters is the incoming sensory bandwidth. Thus your huge lips and hands but scrawny arms and legs and disappointing rear end.”PRIMARY MOTOR Homunculus - LEFT Brain“The left [motor] homunculus is a representation of date distribution of motor neurons, which generate actions for the body parts show. Think of it as the output, or response-based homunculus. Notice the face is scowling, and the mouth is open, it's tongue sticking out actively as part of a threat display. The back of the torso and legs are shown. For our ancestors, large muscles like the glutes and hamstrings would have to activate to make a quick get-away in case of attack. The voice box is mapped in the figure on the left, as vocalization is also part of active threat displays.”Ellen Heed, Body Mapping e-book[From time to time, a word or phrase goes wonky. This week, we cracked open the cosmic filing cabinet of our bodies with the one and only TJ, the somatic sorcerer behind New Age Bodywork. His specialty? Somatic bodywork for bodymapping and emotional release — aka, finding out where your trauma's been living rent-free and handing it an eviction notice. We got into the deliciously squishy world of fascia (spoiler: it's not just the weird word you skip over in anatomy class). TJ breaks down why fascia is basically the body's mystical spiderweb — holding us together, storing our unprocessed emotional baggage, and quietly running the show behind the scenes. Then, things got real when TJ turned his healing gaze (and hands) on both Ali and Brie for an emotional bodymapping exercise. Picture it: TJ energetically palpating, pressing, and mapping their tension like a cartographer of feelings, calling out the exact coordinates of their stored grief, stress, and “why did I text him back” moments. The revelations? Chef's kiss. The homework? Spicy. TJ sends each of us away with somatic assignments to start untangling the body's energetic knots, and honestly… it's giving “main character healing montage” vibes. If you've ever wondered why your hips are holding grudges or why your shoulders feel like they've been through a war you can't remember signing up for, this episode will make your fascia feel seen, heard, and maybe even forgiven.Grab your matcha, your journal, and your willingness to ugly cry — this one's a trip through the body's secret emotional archives.Catch up with TJ, check out his events and schedule your own trauma healing session with him here: websiteinstagramsalt burn eventConnect with Your Cosmic Guides: Briana Christine: TikTok | Instagram Ali: TikTok | Instagram Join the Cosmic Community: Follow Cosmic Injectables for more episodes filled with spiritual insights, laughter, and a touch of magic. In this special episode, Melissa connects with longtime friend and renowned psychosomatic therapist Frida, founder of Body Nature Therapies in Byron Bay. Frida shares her personal and professional journey—from a background in fine arts to pioneering her Body Mapping Method, a therapeutic process that bridges the body-mind connection. Frida explains what psychosomatic therapy really is (hint: it's simpler than you think!), and how disconnection between body and mind often lies at the root of illness, fatigue, and sexual dysfunction. With wisdom grounded in yoga, Ayurveda, remedial bodywork, and Eastern and Western healing philosophies, she shares how aligning your physical form can profoundly impact your mental and emotional wellbeing. From postural alignment to pelvic floor balance and the power of the breath, this conversation uncovers the life-changing benefits of reconnecting to your body—especially for men dealing with erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, or post-cancer recovery. In This Episode, We Cover: What is psychosomatic therapy—and how can it help? Frida's journey from artist to bodyworker to therapist The Body Mapping Method: what it is, how it works, and why it's so powerful How posture and muscle tone affect sexual function, stress, and overall health Real-life client transformations through simple body realignment and breathwork Why balance (front/back, top/bottom) in the body is essential—especially for men The link between gym routines, hypertonic pelvic floors, and erectile dysfunction Why breath is the unsung hero of healing and optimal sexual health Key Takeaways: Your body tells a story. Posture and breath reflect your stress, habits, and mindset. Balance matters. Overtraining visible muscles while neglecting the rest (like glutes and pelvic floor) can contribute to erectile dysfunction and pain. Small tweaks, big impact. Conscious breathing, posture correction, and gentle movement can lead to major improvements in wellbeing and sexual health. The body remembers. Emotional trauma can live in our tissues; releasing it through bodywork can be incredibly healing. Self-agency is powerful. When you understand your body, you reclaim the power to heal. Expert Insights: “You are not a sum of disconnected parts—you are one beautiful, functional whole.” — Melissa Hadley Barrett “The breath connects everything. Your nervous system depends on the frequency and depth of the breath.” — Frida About Frida & Body Nature Therapies: Frida is a psychosomatic therapist, yoga teacher, remedial massage practitioner, and artist. She founded Body Nature Therapies in 2004 and developed the unique Body Mapping Method, a process that uses illustrated posture analysis to help people visually reconnect with their bodies. With decades of experience and a deep passion for self-empowerment and natural healing, Frida helps clients access lasting change—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Invisible mental barriers silently crush your dreams of success, wealth, and happiness. Self-doubt whispers you're not good enough. Limiting beliefs lock you into a life of mediocrity. What if you could rewrite the software of your mind and become the architect of your own destiny? In this groundbreaking webinar, Dr. David Snyder reveals the psychological mechanisms keeping you stuck and provides a revolutionary system to unlock your true potential, transform your identity, and create the life you've always wanted. Key Quotes: • "Identity is enough. You got to be somebody in your own mind differently first, then you got to do something different."• "As long as you're moving forward, that's a win. As long as you're better today than you were yesterday, it's a win."• "If you want something different, you got to do something different."Key Takeaways:• Your unconscious mind prioritizes survival over success, often keeping you stuck in familiar but unproductive patterns.• Negative internal voices are learned programs that can be systematically identified, challenged, and replaced.• Emotional states like curiosity, playfulness, victory, and relentlessness can be intentionally installed as default modes of operation.• Verbal declaration and physical embodiment are powerful techniques for reprogramming subconscious beliefs and increasing motivation.• Personal transformation is a deliberate process of changing identity, not just acquiring new skills or information.Episode Timeline:0:00-5:00: Introduction 5:00-15:00: Body Mapping and Emotional Awareness 15:00-25:00: Unconscious Safety Rules 25:00-35:00: Identity Transformation Techniques 35:00-45:00: Persuasion and Communication Strategies 45:00-55:00: Mastermind and Skill Development 55:00-60:00: Closing and Offer To learn more about Dr. David Snyder and everything about NLP, visit:Website: https://www.nlppower.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DavidSnyderNLPInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/davidsnydernlp

Having Long Covid can be an extremely isolating experience, patients may not look unwell, but they have debilitating symptoms like shortness of breath, muscle pain or extreme fatigue. Sufferers say it's hard to explain what's happening, but now there's another language to help them communicate. It's called "body mapping" and is bringing positive results to Long Covid patients. Oxford University research fellow Maaret Yokela-Pansini teamed up with colleague Professor Beth Greenhough to use body mapping for their project Visualising Long Covid, with the help of charity Long Covid Support.Former professional rower turned Long Covid advocate, Oonagh Cousins, says body mapping allowed her to reflect on how the illness is experienced in different parts of the body. Maaret and Oonagh speak to Mihi.
Are you struggling to achieve your goals and live up to your full potential? Do limiting beliefs, fears, or negative emotions hold you back from success, health, wealth and happiness? Dr. David Snyder shares powerful techniques to reprogram your subconscious mind for rapid transformation. Through interactive exercises and proven NLP methods, Snyder teaches how to overcome blocks like procrastination, eliminate negative thoughts and feelings, and program your mind for maximum results. Learn to attract good people into your life, make more money effortlessly, and take control of your destiny! Standout Quotes: “You are not the way you are because of the things that happened to you. You are the way you are because of the way you recorded the things that happened to you.” – Dr. David Snyder “If you can point to where you feel it, you can change it.” – Dr. David Snyder “You are not broken, there is nothing wrong with you. The feelings in your body, the stuff that keeps coming up does not mean you're broken.” – Dr. David Snyder “You are the God or Goddess of your reality. You are the king or queen of your universe. And you have absolutely every right and privilege and authority to make any change that you want.” – Dr. David Snyder “Everything you experience is a product of a code that your nervous system wrote and is running? Well, if your system wrote the code, it can rewrite the code.” – Dr. David Snyder “There's literal magic inside of you waiting to be set free. Will you accept it? Will you embrace it? Will you go for it?” – Dr. David Snyder Key Takeaways: Practice the "frame game" technique daily to rapidly evolve your emotions, thoughts, and destiny through self-directed neuroplasticity. Use somatic techniques like pointing to feelings in your body and reframing pictures to methodically resolve issues, allowing deeper layers of related problems to surface for transformation. Ask yourself "What is the root cause behind this chronic issue in my life?" and seek to address psycho-emotional sources through techniques like regression, rather than just treating surface symptoms. Nurture your inner child daily with self-love, acceptance and empowering beliefs so that you can overcome limitations and break through to your full potential. December 8th - 10th, Austin, TX Sign up link: https://nishantgarg.me/pod/retreat only for podcast listeners This is so much more than a retreat. This is an initiation. To dive into the depths of yourself. (and play and laugh like you're five again!) Total immersion. Community. Connection. Unification. To come as you are and leave anew. You've already been working on yourself and living more from your heart. But there's a burning ache inside you for more…More Depth More Passion More Trust More Connection More Fulfillment You've lived your whole life consumed by your thoughts, conditioned behaviors, limiting stories, and external pressures. You've worked really hard to get where you are and are very grateful for your successes and progress. You've done a fair amount of inner work already by investing in coaching, therapy or personal development events, and you're committed to regularly feeding your mind and heart through heart-centered podcasts and books and practices. But something is missing… In some ways (or many), you feel like you're treading water - living just on the surface of what's really possible. You feel stuck or unfulfilled in your love-life, career, relationships, inner connection, health (or all of the above). You have a burning desire to feel more connected to yourself, more connected to others, and more connected to the pulse of life itself. You're ready for life to FEEL better. Not because of what you have or what you've achieved or who you're with - but because of how you relate to yourself and to life. There's a knowing inside you that life can be so much richer than what you're currently experiencing - you just don't know how. But you're ready to find out. You're ready to go ALL IN. You're ready to pull down your walls and masks and start leading a more fulfilling existence. You're ready to feel more invigorated by life - not because of your material or monetary successes - but to start thriving from the inside out. If this is resonating…the Rite of Passage Retreat was created exactly for you. This is an event of death, and rebirth.A sacred journey to let your dust and darkness wash over you… To learn how to face it and whatever life may throw your way with love and surrender…So you can walk back into your life with more vitality, self-love, innate joy - and especially more Soul-led truth than you've ever experienced before (and likely with a few new best friends!) This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience like no other. From the people we'll connect in sacred passage with, to the fun and dancing and giggles we'll let loose in, to the tears and truths we'll unearth from the deepest parts of our hearts… It's time for your Rite of Passage. I had the pleasure of having an incredible woman and my dear friend, Laurel Huston, as my first guest on today's episode. Laurel has made a huge impact on my own life, and I've learned a great deal from her, so I'm excited for you to hear her story, and all of the value she has to share. Laurel Dawn Huston, aka the Divine Feminine Enchantress, is an award-winning, international keynote speaker. She is the founder of Reflections Inside and Out, and the creator of Body Mapping, a technique used to identify markers on our bodies that signify gifts, abilities, and personality traits. She is innovative, and truly passionate about what she does; she's been able to help thousands of clients regain trust with their relationships, and live a life that is tuned in, and turned on. In today's episode, we're talking about: -Laurel's story of finding and becoming herself as the Divine Feminine Enchantress after healing, and learning who her highest self was -The importance of learning to love and accept our bodies, so we will realize that others can love and accept our bodies too -Realizing that we don't have to “become” something, because we've always been worthy, and are enough already -Why we need to be able to receive pleasure (it's our birthright to be able to have pleasure and joy after all), and not feel like we have to ‘give' first, in order to receive from others -Recognizing self-betrayal and how to stop it, and why we need to remember that our head is a clock, and our heart is a compass -Why we need to stop giving away our power, and be open to receiving things (inside and outside of the bedroom) I absolutely LOVED this conversation with Laurel; we covered so much goodness! She has a special way of helping women embrace their feminine energy, and empower them to live a life filled with meaningful intimacy. More doubt and confusion! We are here for it. We are living it. We dig into it with Ali. She talks to us about growing up deeply Jewish and both the gifts and the questions she found on that path. We investigate the power of nature, long walks, and regular showers. And how the body holds all our secrets. As an actor, Ali has performed on Broadway and off, and in venues across the country including The Roundabout Theatre, The Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, Cincinnati playhouse in the park, Fault Line Theatre, Barrington Stage and more. Ali loves movement theater and recently completed the international residency program with Frantic Assembly in London. As a painter, her saturated, rhythmic use of color to paint women's bodies and faces, describes the womxn up against herself. She questions the scope of femininity by capturing moments of rage, torture, complacency, joy, nostalgia, and desire. Ali is an expressionist with occasional abstract tendencies. Ali has taught art all over the world with Artists Striving To End Poverty, and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDs. Ali is a certified Yoga instructor specializing in Vinyasa, Yin, Hatha, hot yoga and Meditation.
