We welcomed both Marc Hon and Avi Shporer from MIT to discuss the lucky discovery of a planet that is rapidly disintegrating nd producing a comet-like tail. The team tells how they discovered this item by looking at images and data from the TESS satellite . During our discussion, we learned that there were other disintegrating planets but that they are rare. According to their data, in another million to two million years the planet will be gone.
