In this 2025 Year in Review solo episode of Derms and Conditions, host James Q. Del Rosso, DO, reflects on the standout conversations, clinical insights, and new formats that shaped the series over the past year. Dr Del Rosso opens by highlighting the launch of Tea with Dr. D, a sister vodcast that brings expert discussions to video, incorporating slides and procedural footage. He spotlights an episode with HS expert Lauren Lam, MD, who walks through comprehensive hidradenitis suppurativa management from patient check-in through long-term care. He also reviews Spilling the Tea with Dr. D, a hybrid audio-video mailbag format that addresses listener-submitted clinical questions. He then revisits key moments from the core Derms and Conditions series, beginning with Michael Payette, DO, who discussed building a dedicated HS clinic, collaborating with nondermatology providers, and his early adoption of GLP-1 agents for inflammatory disease management. Additional highlights include an episode with E. James Song, MD, on modern nb-UVB phototherapy units and practical guidance for safe implementation, as well as a unique discussion with Clay Cockerell, MD, JD, on estate planning considerations for physicians. Vitiligo emerged as a recurring focus in 2025, with expert insights from Seemal Desai, MD, and Pearl Grimes, MD, covering disease assessment, treatment timelines, topical ruxolitinib, oral therapies, phototherapy, and running a dedicated vitiligo center. Dr Del Rosso also revisits episodes on extended-release minocycline for rosacea, oral JAK inhibitors in older adults, challenging case-based discussions, evolving approaches to photoprotection and skin care counseling, and emerging therapies across alopecia areata, hyperhidrosis, tyrosine kinase 2 inhibition in psoriasis, and chronic hand eczema, including a recent FDA approval. Tune in to the full episode for a look back at a year of clinically relevant education aimed at supporting dermatologists in everyday practice.

What a year 2025 has been! We want to take the opportunity to thank all of our loyal listeners and all the new ones who've found us this year. In a year of milestones we celebrated our 250th episode in September and then wrapped up our 5th year of the show in November. Our love of rock music is stronger than ever and we're so happy we get to share it with like-minded rock fans from around the globe. So thank you for all the support! It has become tradition that we break down our year in review into 2 different shows: one on the albums, authors & podcasters we welcomed on the show and a second on the live concerts we reviewed and artists and legends we hosted. This first edition focuses on the 35 albums we celebrated, which ones we loved, we ones surprised us and which ones made us want to do another by that artist in 2026. Then we walk through all the authors and podcasters who came on our show, usually on our monthly sidecast First Concert Memories. It's a great showcase for fans of rock music to share the stories that helped shape their rock n roll journey and relive some fond (and sometimes not so fond) memories. Next week is Part 2 on the live shows, artists and legends with a special in memoriam to pay tribute to the legends we lost in 2025. Until then, enjoy 2025 Part 1 - The Albums, Authors & Podcasters!! Hello my friend, and welcome to the final episode of 2025. This isn't a traditional year-in-review episode—it's more of an invitation to pause, to breathe, and to remember that the work you're doing in your sourdough microbakery is building something far bigger than weekly sales or Instagram posts. In this slower-paced reflection, I share five intentional questions that I hope will help you zoom out and really honor all that 2025 asked of you. These questions aren't about vanity metrics or highlight reels. They're about legacy—the quiet, meaningful kind that shows up in school lunches, family dinners, and the way your community shops for real food. This episode is a gentle nudge to reflect on where you've been, what you've learned, and how you want to move forward. Before we rush into planning and goal setting for 2026, I hope you'll sit with these questions and allow them to shape your vision. I also share a heartfelt invitation to join the Breadwinner Inner Circle as doors open once again. In a plot twist that absolutely no one saw coming, Don Rea is somehow NOT the star of this episode recapping the 2025 PGA Championship. Masters winner Rory McIlroy joins Andy, Brendan!, KVV, and PJ to share some thoughts about his own historic year. Rory discusses the Masters win that made him a grand slam champion, his recent travels to Australia, the 2025 Ryder Cup, and much, much more. He even breaks some HUGE TGL news that may lead to one (1) Ballfrog win in 2026! After committing to a future appearance on "Lunch With The Boys," Rory departs and sets the stage for a look back at the 2025 PGA Championship: The Rise of Rea. Andy is tasked with researching the early-week festivities, including dumping rain and a sparsely-attended champions dinner. He then transitions to the main event: Tuesday's press conference featuring Derek Sprague, Kerry Haigh, and Don Rea Jr. Andy reads quotes from our live show from that very day, remembering when PGA members were referred to as "first responders" and recalling his own investigative journalism from a phone call to Augusta Ranch. Kevin Van Valkenburg picks things up for the first two days of play, detailing a leaderboard that prominently featured Jhonattan Vegas, Cam Davis, and Ryan Gerard. Mudballs run rampant after days of rain at Quail Hollow and players like Xander, Scottie, and more are very unhappy! KVV also has the honor of presenting on this year's installment of Blockie-mania, as Michael Block missed the cut after a decent first round. Brendan brings this episode home as he chronicles Scottie Scheffler's dominant Saturday performance that resulted in his third major championship. The 2025 Year in Review, although delayed, will continue on Friday!

t's the 50th week of the year, which means it's time once again for the Besties—a celebration of the episodes that educated, amused, and enriched us most in 2025. David highlights ten standout episodes from this year, revisiting the ideas, stories, and lessons that lingered long after the microphones were off. And all of the voices behind those moments return for brief cameos, reflecting on the year that was and looking ahead to what comes next. Where to Hunt Wisconsin Podcast

We hit record, crack jokes, and somehow end up doing a full 2025 deer season year-in-review with the crew—public land chaos, private land chirping, a perfectly-orchestrated deer drive, and the universal truth that the freezer doesn't fill itself (unfortunately). You'll hear: Tyler's first real taste of public land deer hunting (and the humbling that comes with it) The Thanksgiving-ish deer drive that turned into a full-blown tradition Matt's “dumb luck” story that includes a 47-yard double-lung from the ground… after ditching the camera (as is tradition) Derek's heater of a season across Wisconsin + Illinois, capped by the best kind of win: his son taking his first deer A few real talk moments on what Okayest Hunter actually stands for—kindness isn't weakness, community matters, and the loudest negativity doesn't get to define the mission It's funny, it's rowdy, it's heartfelt in the least convenient way… and it's the perfect sendoff into almost 2026. Drawing from every episode released this year, Chris and Dale reflect on the lessons learned, the patterns they observed in men walking through divorce, and the spiritual truths that sustained them. This episode is both a recap and a reminder: healing is not linear, you are not alone, and real restoration begins by remaining rooted in the enduring love of Christ. Jobs Report Brings Mixed News. Suzie Wiles' Wild Vanity Fair Interview (with Kirk Bado)

Politics Politics Politics

Play Episode Listen Later Dec 16, 2025 78:31

On Tuesday, a sprawling two-part Vanity Fair piece built from more than a dozen interviews with Susie Wiles, President Trump's chief of staff, dropped online. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most revealing portraits of an active White House power broker I can remember. Wiles describes Trump as having an “alcoholic's personality,” a striking characterization given his lifelong teetotalism. Trump, notably, did not dispute it. He later confirmed the description himself, calling it aggressive, possessive, and myopic.Wiles also took shots across the bow at several major figures. She labeled Elon Musk an “odd duck,” dismissed his politics, and triggered a very public response that included Musk taking a drug test near my own neighborhood to rebut claims of ketamine use. She endorsed JD Vance as the likely Republican nominee in 2028 while simultaneously describing his MAGA conversion as politically convenient. On Epstein, she confirmed Trump's name appears in the files, contradicted Trump's claims about Bill Clinton, and slammed Attorney General Pam Bondi's handling of the document release as a total failure. These were not slips. They were deliberate disclosures from someone who understands power intimately.Perhaps most telling was Wiles's admission that some Trump-era prosecutions look vindictive and that Venezuelan boat strikes were intended to pressure Nicolás Maduro politically, not just disrupt drug trafficking. That level of candor is rare. It reframes policy decisions as leverage rather than law enforcement, and it explains why the article landed like a grenade inside Republican circles.Politics Politics Politics is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.A Cooling Jobs Market and a Complicated Economic PitchAway from the media drama, the November jobs report offered something for everyone but reassurance. Payrolls grew by 64,000 jobs, better than feared but far from robust. Unemployment climbed to 4.6 percent, the highest level in more than four years, signaling a labor market that is cooling but not collapsing. The Labor Department flagged unusual data uncertainty due to the government shutdown, muddying trend lines even further.Supporters of the administration argue that private sector employment remains solid and that government job losses were inevitable given debt and deficits. Critics counter that Trump ran as the “economy man,” and this is not an economy that inspires confidence. Manufacturing and professional services continue to contract, while gains are concentrated in health care and education. The Fed's recent rate cut looks justified, but the promised “golden age” is difficult to sell when affordability remains front and center for voters.A Prime-Time Address and the Politics of the MomentAll of this sets the stage for Trump's prime-time address from the White House, scheduled for Wednesday night. Officially, there is no news hook. Unofficially, this looks like a straight-to-camera year-in-review and year-ahead speech, a nakedly political address designed to reset the narrative as he approaches the midpoint of his second term. If there were a major announcement, such as a Russia-Ukraine breakthrough or a stimulus package, it would not stay secret. The absence of leaks suggests there is no surprise coming. At the same time, Speaker Mike Johnson is facing an internal revolt over expiring Affordable Care Act subsidies. Moderates in swing districts are desperate for a vote they can point to, even if it fails. Hardliners insist on abortion-related restrictions tied to the Hyde Amendment, and leadership is frozen. With discharge petitions circulating and Trump's own political strength under scrutiny, Johnson's power is only as strong as Trump's grip on the conference. Right now, that grip looks uncertain.Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:01:23 - Susie Wiles in Vanity Fair00:04:49 - Kirk Bado on Susie Wiles00:35:30 - Update00:37:14 - Jobs Report00:39:43 - Trump's Primetime Address Announcement00:44:04 - Mike Johnson and the ACA00:50:37 - Kirk Bado on Nuzzi/Lizza and More01:13:57 - Wrap-up This is a public episode. Despite the almost four-hour runtime of Part 5, the show must go on as the self-imposed Christmas deadline inches closer and closer. Andy and Brendan are once again joined by PJ and KVV to chat through a set of four events following Rory's win at the Masters. Before the Year in Review gets back underway, the four recap this week's biggest news: Alejandro Tosti's performance at PGA Tour Q-School. Everyone is giddy to have Tosti back for another season on the big tour and they commend him for fighting through Q-School for a second time. Andy, Brendan, and Kevin also discuss some late-breaking golf news regarding the National Links Trust and the Trump administration's plan to renovate the three public golf courses in Washington D.C. The Year in Review resumes with a look back at the RBC Heritage and the immediate wake of one of the greatest wins in golf history. PJ runs through a week's worth of Rory reactions before unveiling the important stuff, such as Grant Horvat's Barracuda exemption (unused) and Wesley Bryan's PGA Tour suspension (still seemingly ongoing). Justin Thomas returned to the winner's circle in Hilton Head, getting over the finish line for the first time since the 2022 PGA Championship. Andy is next up with the Zurich Classic, where Rory McIlroy made his return to golf in a team event alongside Shane Lowry. Andy rediscovers the backboarding that occurred at a disastrous Chevron Championship and the power outage that led to the golf world being exposed to a Champions Tour Sunday on national TV. He also shares that one of the great technological achievements of our time happened this week! Brendan has the honor of recapping PGA Tour history, as Scottie Scheffler burned down TPC Craig T. Nelson Ranch and tied the all-time scoring record in a runaway win. All that may be great, but Brendan is most excited about the children in attendance chanting while a bulldozer wrecked the practice green ahead of Lanny's renovation. KVV comes in to close things out again, handling the first-ever Truist Championship. His findings lead the group down a rabbit-hole of past HSBC photo shoots, complete with a flying Henrik Stenson and Yao Ming. The 2025 Year in Review returns on Wednesday with the long-awaited Rise of Rea.

In this episode, we bid farewell to 2025 with a year-in-review analysis of the biggest news, changes, and trends in rewards, credit cards, and award travel over the last 12 months. This episode is part one of a two-part year-in-review series, and I'm joined by Kelly, the Points and Miles Doc, to break down the biggest changes, surprises, and shakeups in the points and award travel world over the last year.  In this first half of the conversation, we focus on the biggest wins and disappointments of the year—from credit card issuers that made significant changes to new programs that expanded what's possible with points. We talk through how the landscape has shifted, why earning and redeeming points feels more complex than it used to, and how those changes showed up across credit cards, transferable points currencies, and airline loyalty programs. This episode isn't about declaring whether 2025 was "good" or "bad." It's about understanding how the points and miles world is becoming more specific, more nuanced, and more complex—and what that means for how you participate in it moving forward. Be sure to tune in next week for Part Two, where we'll dive deeper into the trends we expect to shape 2026, along with our predictions and award travel wish lists for the year ahead. Send us a textWhat were the major leadership challenges and transformations that defined 2025? In this episode, hosts Stacey Caster & Tracy-Ann Palmer give their year in review.Organizations increasingly adopted AI (approximately 78% of businesses implemented AI in some capacity), however, only a few restructured workflows to fully leverage this powerful tool. Throughout the conversation, Stacey and Tracy emphasize leadership agility in managing employee and manager engagement, which sank to new lows, and stress the importance of value-driven leadership. They highlight how cybersecurity threats and hybrid work dynamics pose fresh challenges and opportunities for leaders in maintaining productivity and engagement.Key Takeaways:Vision and Systems Integration: Effective leaders must seamlessly integrate vision, systems, and people to navigate economic and technological shifts.AI Implementation: While 78% of organizations are using AI, only 15% have made comprehensive workflow changes to fully utilize its potential.Manager Engagement Crisis: With manager engagement dropping below 30%, sustaining high productivity requires regular check-ins and recognition.Cybersecurity as ESG: As ransomware incidents double, cyber resilience becomes just as essential as sustainability metrics.Future Predictions: 2026 may herald a focus on empathetic leadership, AI as a team player, and the realignment of financial accountability and productivity metrics.Notable Quotes:*   "Real leaders who created value didn't ask, 'Where can we use AI?' What they asked was, 'Where are we wasting human capacity?'"*   "If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you."*   "Engagement recovery depends on equipping leaders to lead with empathy and edge."*   "Leadership isn't glamorous. It's truly gritty… Leaders had to grind through it, and they are better for it."*   "Clarity is a form of kindness... Clear intent changes everything."http://leadershipmomentspodcast.comAll episodes and guest requests can be found at:www.leadershipmomentspodcast.comFollow Stacey Caster on Instagram @staceycaster_Follow Tracy-Ann Palmer on Instagram @tracy_ann_palmer

Send us a textThe Millionaire Math Teacher shares his year in review with the FIT audience. How much did his investments produce this year? How much did he spend? Where did he travel? John is a retired NC HS math teacher, married to a retired RN. Together, they now have a NW of around 2.3 million dollars. They did all of this with little inherence, all while raising 3 children. Over the last 10 years, compound interest and exponential growth have really kicked in. In a bit of a plot twist, 2025 saw John temporarily come out of retirement to be a long term math sub at his old school.  What was the experience like? Could he imagine still having to teach on the day to day in his 60's IF he didn't have his nest egg? How would like be different without his portfolio.  All of this and MORE!
