The podcasting world is undergoing a major shift, and if you're still measuring success by download numbers alone, it's time to rethink your strategy. I break down how monetization in the industry has changed, sharing real examples from shows we work with directly, including how some previously sponsor-heavy podcasts have completely pivoted their revenue approach. I also make the case for treating your podcast as a content engine rather than a destination, using Amy Poehler's podcast as a prime example of how repurposed clips can generate 6x the views of the original episode. Plus, learn how something as simple as adding a subtitle to your show can help you niche down, attract the right audience, and grow faster.Key Topics Covered:How podcasters are moving away from big sponsorships and finding new ways to monetize their shows. Why the mindset shift from "driving listeners back to your podcast" to "using your podcast to fuel all other content" is essential right now.How Amy Poehler's podcast reels generate 6x more views than the podcast itself and what that means for your strategy.Monetization ideas you can start implementing regardless of your download numbers. Why niching down attracts the right audience, and how adding a subtitle helped one client do exactly that.Links & Resources:Listen to Ep. 73: https://www.pivotballchange.com/podcast-1/73Instagram Carousel Mentioned: https://www.instagram.com/p/DZATVngDj_x/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==Listen to Ep. 60 with Liz Emmerich: https://www.pivotballchange.com/podcast-1/60Listen to Ep. 56 with Kaitlin McMahan: https://www.pivotballchange.com/podcast-1/56Let's Connect!Book Your Podcast Consultation Today: https://www.pivotballchange.com/servicesLaunch Your Podcast with Pivot Ball Change: https://www.pivotballchange.com/servicesFollow Pivot Ball Change on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pivotballchange/Visit Pivot Ball Change's Website: https://www.pivotballchange.com/Riverside: https://riverside.sjv.io/c/6950782/2183832/28064

Hello to you listening in Ambler, Pennsylvania! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga. This much I know. I have come to expect too much - of myself, of my plans, of my aspirations. My expectations were giving me heartache. It was time to step away, create some distance between me and my expectations. We are taught to exceed our expectations! And yet when we let go a bit, make room for the possibility that an event, an objective, an outcome might unfold in ways we could not have expected we are inviting a variety of possibilities! If outcomes do not conform to what we expected does that mean we failed? No. Practical Tip: The unforeseen gives us a chance to be flexible, to see something positive in the unexpected outcome. Now we get to adapt. The more we strengthen our adaptability muscle the more resilient we become. The more resilient we become the more capable we are of recognizing that Life is one grand experiment asking us to stay open, alert and optimistic as we set intentions and release expectations. Guaranteed! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! This week on The Back of the Pack Podcast, we take you with us to the Outpacing Melanoma 5K, where the podcast set up on-site for a morning of racing, conversations, interviews, and community connection. After previously having the race team on the show to talk about the mission behind the event, we had the chance to be there in person, meet the people behind the cause, and hear directly from those impacted by melanoma and skin cancer. Throughout the morning, we spoke with dermatologists, doctors, nurses, survivors, supporters, runners, and families who all brought their own perspective to why this race matters. We also caught up with Jenny from 106.5 The Wolf, the race director, and plenty of runners who were brave enough, curious enough, or just chaotic enough to step up to the microphone. This episode is less of a traditional race review and more of a race-day field trip into the heart of a community fighting for awareness, prevention, treatment, and hope. For runners, the message hits especially close to home, because hours spent training in the sun can come with real risks if we are not taking care of our skin. We talk about the energy of the event, the people who made it meaningful, and the reminder that every start line can carry a bigger purpose than just miles and finish times. Join us as we share the voices, stories, and mission from a powerful morning at the Outpacing Melanoma 5K.

Send us a messageAny religion outside of true Christianity falls into the category of a mystery religion, as ultimately, they all lead people to damnation. Mystery Babylon is a stridency of confusion, offering many false paths to salvation. Some of the Epistles were written to counter false teachings of the Gnostics (1 John 4:2), and the Nicolaitans (Rev. 2:15), that had already begun to creep into the early church. Jesus also warned of these apostates in Matthew 7:15-16: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” A wolf is merciless, devouring its prey with no hesitation. Being wrapped in sheep's clothing makes these false teachers all the more dangerous. Only by knowing the doctrines of the Bible can we seek to avoid deception in these last days, and remain steadfast in readiness – for Jesus comes quickly!(Carl Joseph: “What Is Mystery Babylon?”)Support the showVisit our website: https://agapelightministries.com/

Andrea Subissati, Editor of Rue Morgue and Podcaster for Faculty of Horror The Bloody Judge for the 2026 Portland Horror Film Festival was Andrea Subissati, the Executive Editor of Rue Morgue. She is one of the most compelling voices within the horror community, and is a powerful advocate for women within the genre. Andrea was kind enough to set some time aside to talk some terror with us between feature film showings at the festival. We at the Scariest Things take our work seriously, but let’s be real. Rue Morgue is the real shit. It is a top-shelf professional horror periodical, and Andrea is a charismatic pro guiding that ship. We dabble in the eddies of horror film criticism. Rue Morgue is the river of horror discussions and sets the standard for horror journalism. As Bloody Judge, she delivered the keynote address to the festival, interviewed George Mihalka on stage for his Q&A for My Bloody Valentine’s 45th anniversary. Most importalntly, she also applied her horror wisdom to pick her favorite film in the festival. She selected Alect Patchin’s short film, “The Bargain”, a short film involving child abuse, revenge, religion, and a summoning. Andrea Subisatti arrives on stage at the Portland Horror Film Festival to give the Keynote Address Interviewing George Mihalka for My Bloody Valentine’s 45th Anniversary Q&A I asked Heather Alexander, who is a huge Subissati fan, to write an essay about Andrea’s influence on her as a prologue to our interview: Andrea Subissati is among the luminaries of horror. As the executive editor of the Canadian horror magazine Rue Morgue, she not only has her finger on the pulse of all things horror but is also a profound feminist voice in the genre. I've been reading her editorials, celebrity interviews and articles since she began her Rue Morgue reign in 2017. Her voice and vision have made me laugh and cry. It's given me perspective, made me feel seen, and inspired me creatively.  Andrea has a master’s degree in sociology and uses her big brain to analyze horror in relation to gender dynamics, culture, history, and the general state of the world. Her academics come into full focus in her intimidatingly brilliant and award-winning podcast, The Faculty of Horror, which she co-hosts with Alexandra West. It’s here that these two brainy horror queens have thoughtful, feminist, and incredibly researched discussions on horror movies and the impact they've had on the genre. I'm a lot late to the podcast party in general, so it's only recently that I've been a listener, but believe me when I tell you The Faculty of Horror is highly captivating. I knew Andrea was scheduled to be a judge and interviewer at this year's Portland Horror Film Festival. I didn't dream of meeting her, but I sure as hell wanted to be in the audience when she interviewed director George Mihalka after the fest's viewing of his movie, My Bloody Valentine. So I bought a ticket to that night's event. On June 4th, I left work early to head over to the film fest. In the car, I received a text from Eric Li, my friend and fellow podcaster on The Scariest Things. He asked if I was interested in interviewing Andrea with him. I read this text and almost had a heart attack. The festival started in an hour! I had no time to prepare! I can't embarrass myself in front of Andrea Subissati! But I also couldn't say no to this opportunity. So I rushed home, got a pep talk from my husband, and set about writing a few questions.   Turns out, I could have talked to her for hours. The woman is rad as hell, and what an honor to meet her, if only for a brief time, in a strange and probably haunted backroom at The Hollywood Theater. Andrea – thanks for lending us your time, I hope our paths cross again. Until then, I remain an avid Rue Morgue reader, and your newest Faculty fan.  – Heather Alexander Heather Alexander is a guest podcaster on The Scariest Things Podcast. She is also a co-host on The Portland Horror Podcast Massacre, a co-host of The Portland Horror Trivia Massacre, a moderator and panelist at Cryptocon, and a bookseller at Powell’s Books. She writes horror movie reviews on Letterbox'd under HeatherA and occasionally at horrormoviesinthedark.blogspot.com. Andrew Huberman Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Andrew Huberman has spent the past few days doing exactly what is reshaping his long term biography: expanding from celebrated podcaster and Stanford neuroscientist into full spectrum health authority and soon to be mass market author. Waterstones, the major UK bookseller, reports that his first comprehensive book, titled Protocols: An Operating Manual for the Human Body, is set for global release on September 15, 2026, positioning him not just as a podcast educator but as a mainstream health reference author with a formalized system of daily protocols for mental and physical performance. On TikTok, the official Huberman Lab account has been pushing a preorder campaign for that book, describing it as an operating manual for the human body and emphasizing its protocol based, highly actionable structure, a clear sign that his team is gearing up for a major cross platform publishing push. On the content front, YouTube clips from his ongoing collaboration with former Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf have been rolling out over the last few days, packaged as short, highly shareable lessons in discipline, focus, and anxiety reduction. One recent segment, How Micro Discipline Compounds Into Elite Success, features Huberman explaining how repeated small hard choices drive structural brain changes in regions like the anterior mid cingulate cortex, linking mundane habits to the neuroscience of so called super agers and reinforcing his brand as the scientist who can decode high performance. Another clip, How to Improve Focus and Decrease Anxiety With One Simple Practice, highlights his use of the Influence versus Concern framework, an exercise that has him literally asking listeners to draw a line down a page and sort worries from actions, then radically shrink phone screen time, tying mental health advice to real world behavioral experiments. Across social media, Huberman continues to be name checked as an authority. A recent Instagram post by Waterstones again promotes his upcoming book as a truly empowering guide to mental health, physical performance, and sleep, while a TikTok creator credits Andrew Huberman with helping avoid bad camera buys by pushing better lighting over expensive gear, an example of how his advice increasingly leaks into creator culture and not just neuroscience circles. Internationally, a Portuguese language Instagram carousel from a podcast account recaps the Huberman Lab episodes that led thousands of listeners to quit alcohol, chase morning light, and use a single physiological sigh to reset stress, underscoring his growing status as a global behavior change catalyst. On X, Huberman's main account has stayed focused on research, podcast promotion, and book related messaging; no credible outlet has reported any major controversy, new personal scandal, or large business acquisition tied to him in the past few days, and any rumors beyond that are unconfirmed and should be treated as speculation. The real story this week is continuity and escalation: a steady drumbeat of science based clips, an aggressive rollout toward his September book launch, and a widening echo chamber of creators, bookstores, and international podcasts framing him as the go to brain and body strategist for the self optimization era. This week on The Back of the Pack Podcast: Second Wind, our Running MythBusters series continues with a look at race day rules that may need to be retired, or at least loosened up a little. We talk about the classic “nothing new on race day” advice and why it is good guidance, but not a federal law carved into a Garmin screen. From new shoes at Little Rock to mystery fuel at mile 8, gas station burrito chaos, weather adjustments, hats, hydration plans, and Gatorade versus Powerade, this episode reminds us that race day success requires preparation, flexibility, and common sense. We also bust the idea that carb loading means eating everything in sight, because fueling should help the race, not create a pasta-powered disaster with a bib number. Then we get into one of running's biggest truths: the first mile is a liar, whether it feels amazing, awful, or just plain weird. We also break down why “banking time early” usually leads to paying it back later, why race day adrenaline is only a spark and not a training plan, and why real runners absolutely can and should use aid stations. Most importantly, we talk about how a bad race does not have to ruin the whole day. Sometimes the goal changes mid-race, and success becomes finishing, learning, helping someone else, or simply getting through the ugly miles with a story worth telling.

Pleasure Doesn’t Care About Wrinkles  (Season 6 | Episode 243) with Joan Price Welcome to another episode of the Open Nesters podcast, where Amir and I trade our empty nest for an open one filled with vibrant health, relationships, and endless possibilities. This week, I had the absolute honor of sitting down with Joan Price, an 82-year-old senior sex expert and an incredible advocate for aging and sexuality. Joan brings such a refreshing, realistic, and wildly open perspective to what she calls “Act Three”—the stage of life where we are getting older but are absolutely still entitled to rich, fulfilling intimacy. Pleasure Doesn’t Care About Wrinkles with Joan Price In my fifties, I still felt incredibly sensual and sexual, but as I entered my sixties, I started experiencing unexpected setbacks, including breaking my neck in a car crash. Joan completely validated these physical realities, reminding us that as we age, our bodies simply change. From the aches and joint pains that make certain physical positions impossible, to the very real physiological shifts that cause arousal to take longer and lubrication to decrease, these hurdles are completely normal. 3:01 Bodies Change, Desire Adapts 6:12 Injury, Healing, and Intimacy 10:00 Embracing New Pleasure 15:44 Rethinking Orgasm 18:11 Ageless Erotica Unveiled 22:16 Body Image and Worth 27:48 Sex After Grief 32:54 Courage with Age But normal doesn’t mean the end of pleasure; it just requires a profound shift in our attitude and expectations. Joan emphasizes that we must let go of the judgment, the blaming, and the unrealistic goal of trying to recreate the exact kind of sex we had in our twenties. Instead, this chapter of life is about opening our minds to a completely new, expansive world of receiving and experiencing pleasure. A major part of this new chapter involves communication, which can be daunting if you’ve never had to explicitly ask for what you need before. Joan pointed out that if intercourse is no longer pleasurable or even possible, we must be brave enough to tell our partners exactly what our aging bodies require now. Our brains need to consciously connect with our bodies, asking them to show us what they need, and then we must boldly share those discoveries with our lovers. One of the most liberating ways to explore these changing needs is through solo sex. Joan is a massive proponent of self-pleasure, explaining that taking the time to explore your own body alone allows you to intimately understand how your arousal patterns have shifted over the years. Giving yourself permission to experiment with solo touch is not only perfectly healthy, but it’s often the foundational step to communicating your evolving desires to a partner. When it comes to discovering new sensations, Joan is also a vocal advocate for integrating high-quality sex toys into your routine. She advised us to ditch the old, poorly made novelties of the past and invest in well-designed, body-safe toys, like a specifically chosen vibrator. Whether used alone or with a partner, these tools can quite literally be the difference between having an orgasm and not having one. Speaking with Joan was a profound reminder that pleasure truly does not have an expiration date. I highly encourage all of our listeners, whether you are single or partnered, to check out her website and dive into her groundbreaking books, including the wonderful anthology Ageless Erotica. We don’t have to quietly close the door on our sexuality as we age; instead, we can step boldly into this new act, open our minds, and write an entirely new, beautiful chapter of intimacy. Ultimately, we need to completely redefine what a successful sexual encounter looks like. Joan challenges the deeply ingrained societal idea that sex must always lead to intercourse or a specific, standardized type of climax. Instead, we should embrace exploring arousal slowly, enjoying lower-pressure intimacy, and relishing the long, sensual buildup without demanding a specific finish line. Hello to you listening in Flushing, Queens, New York! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. Maybe like me you stop and wonder: who am I right now, how do I describe myself, what nourishes me?  It's scary, isn't it, not to have the answers. Perhaps there is great wisdom in resting there, not resisting, not pushing back, but trusting that the answer will come in due time. The poet Derek Walcott knows that while we may have forgotten who we are, who we are has not forgotten us. His poem, Love After Love, suggests a great joy in coming face-to-face with the one who knows us by heart:   Love After Love “The time will come when, with elation you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror and each will smile at the other's welcome, and say, sit here. Eat. You will love again the stranger who was your self. Give wine. Give bread. Give back your heart to itself, to the stranger who has loved you all your life, whom you ignored for another, who knows you by heart. Take down the love letters from the bookshelf, the photographs, the desperate notes, peel your own image from the mirror. Sit. Feast on your life.” [- by Derek Walcott] And thank you, for listening. You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! Journalist, hit entertainment podcaster, and debut novelist, Bobby Finger, spoke to me about writing for Jezebel, turning a screenplay into a novel, and his debut, "The Old Place." Bobby Finger is a writer and co-host of the popular celebrity and entertainment podcast, Who? Weekly, "The podcast that tells you everything you need to know about celebrities you don't." His debut novel is The Old Place, described as "A bighearted and moving debut about a wry retired schoolteacher whose decade-old secret threatens to come to light and send shockwaves through her small Texas town." It has been named Washington Post‘s 10 Noteworthy Books for September, People‘s Best New Books, Town & Country's 45 Must-Read Books of Fall, New York's 25 Notable New Releases, Kirkus Review‘s 150 Most Anticipated Fall Books, LitHub‘s Most Anticipated Books of 2022, among many others. New York Times bestselling author Emma Straub said of the book, “I loved being inside this skillful novel—at the planning parties for church fundraisers, learning to drive with a can of beer in the cupholder, and in the heads of some wonderfully tangy old Texan ladies. Bobby Finger has built a rich world in The Old Place, and I will think of it every time I make toast.” Stay calm and write on ... Get 'The Writer Files' Podcast Delivered Straight to Your Inbox If you're a fan of The Writer Files, please "Follow" us to automatically see new interviews. Stories From Women Who Walk

Hello to you listening in Charlottesville, Virginia! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga. Here's the thing: I've hit The Dip. That place in most creative endeavors where you look around and wonder: Does anybody care? Does my work matter? What am I doing and for whom? Believe it or not, The Dip is a precious time. Now you get to dig deep and consider what's it for, who's it for, where is it needed? Not everyone wants or needs what you have to offer; but someone does! Lots of someones. Some years ago I was working as a shepherd at a fiber farm on the outskirts of Charlottesville, Virginia. Our neighbor raised organic goats for meat. Joe sold the meat to customers from the D.C Beltway area who knew a good thing and were happy to pay for it. But Joe wanted more. He was ready to venture out and teach people about the value of eating what he raised: organic food, sustainable, humanely harvested, no junk, and lots of pasture to graze. But where to go? He fixes up an old school bus as a traveling kitchen and visits each and every state and local fair in Virginia. Why? People go to fairs to eat food! But not his food. Fairs offer a lot of cheap fried food: onion blossoms, corn dogs, curly cut fries. Joe is offering 3 items: organic goat kabobs, organic goat curry and an organic goat skillet burger with all the fixins. While his prices are in keeping with what he's trying to sell, they are several times more than the competition at the fair. The food is foreign. No one will eat it except on a dare. Now what? Instead of lowering his prices or changing venues Joe decides to dig in and work on changing attitudes and appetites. At each fairgrounds he stands outside the mobile kitchen and shares his story: why goats, where they are pastured, who takes care of them, how they live, what makes this meat special, and why it's worth it. He prints up a flyer with his story and hands that out, too. Person by person the story draws them in, the goat meat dinners keep them there. It took time but he believed in what he was doing and for whom he was doing it. If this is you here's a tip from Joe:  “Some will. Some won't. Who's next?” As I repeat Joe's words I'm working my way out of The Dip. “Come for the stories; stay for the magic!”   CTA: If you want the story that will change minds, attitudes, behaviors, let's work together.  You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! ODS má snahu odříznout se od minulosti, ale to nemůžete udělat bez toho, aniž byste se kriticky vyjádřili k předchozímu období,“ říká v Osobnosti Plus.

Why Was Alex Murdaugh's Retrial Handed to a Judge Who Says She Ignores the Internet?

The first Alex Murdaugh trial wasn't just decided in a courtroom — it was swallowed by everything around it. A clerk of court writing a book about the case while she was supposed to be guarding the jury. Cameras in every corner of Walterboro. Podcasters, streamers, and true crime creators turning a small South Carolina town into a content farm. And when the dust settled, the state Supreme Court threw the whole verdict out, in part because of what happened to that jury outside the evidence. Now meet the woman in charge of making sure it never happens again. Judge Debra McCaslin wrote on her own judicial questionnaire that she is not a fan of social media and very rarely looks at it. The state of South Carolina just handed the most internet-obsessed criminal case in America to a judge who, by her own account, doesn't engage with any of it. In this Alex Murdaugh retrial breakdown, we ask whether that makes her exactly the wrong person for this moment — or the only kind of judge who can survive it. A jurist who can't be rattled by the noise might be the cure for a case that was poisoned by noise. Or she might be walking into a storm she's never bothered to look at.We also get into who McCaslin is beneath the questionnaire: the self-made path that took her from a senator's office to her own law practice to the bench, her overlooked history with one of the lawyers now defending Murdaugh, and the rulings she'll make on venue, evidence, and a possible death penalty fight that will define trial number two before it starts.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this Monday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan breaks down Iran's first direct ballistic missile attack on Israel since the April ceasefire, Israel's decision to fire back despite Trump's direct orders not to, and what the 100-day mark of this war actually tells us about where it is headed. With global oil stocks now roughly two weeks from critical levels and Iran demanding $24 billion in frozen assets before serious negotiations can begin, Bryan lays out why a fast resolution is increasingly unlikely and what it would actually take to change that calculus. He also digs into a Democratic Socialist professor openly cheering for Iran to bring down the American empire, the Anthropic AI model called Mythos that is alarming even its own creators, and a surprising area of agreement between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump on government ownership of AI companies. Plus, Bryan profiles the Islamist Democratic Senate candidate in Michigan who just landed the UAW endorsement and could be headed to a razor-thin general election, covers Antifa attacks on the ICE facility in Newark, a fired Hawaii immigration judge who immediately announced plans to work for the Democratic Party, a Biden-appointed Boston judge blocking Trump's DEI and Title IX enforcement, and closes with the geopolitical chess match over Diego Garcia and the Chagos Islands that Bryan says he would personally volunteer to govern.
