Learn how to protect your mental health while building a high-growth business. Success can be one of the most dangerous things that happens to an entrepreneur. As your business grows, so do the responsibilities, the pressure, the expectations, and the weight of carrying everyone who depends on you. Too often, founders convince themselves the answer is simply to work harder—until the stress, anxiety, burnout, or depression become impossible to ignore. In this deeply personal episode, Charles Gaudet sits down with entrepreneur and author Jonathan Maddock to discuss one of the least talked about challenges in entrepreneurship: mental health. Jonathan openly shares his journey after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, how that diagnosis helped him better understand both his greatest strengths and biggest risks as a leader, and why addressing mental health ultimately made him a stronger entrepreneur, husband, and father. Charles also shares his own experience navigating grief, emotional suppression, and seeking professional help after losing his father. Together, they explore why vulnerability isn't weakness, why emotional regulation is a leadership skill, and how taking care of yourself may be the highest ROI investment you can make in your business. KEY TAKEAWAYS: Entrepreneurs experience significantly higher rates of mental health challenges than the general population, making proactive self-care a leadership necessity. Working harder is often the wrong response to stress because sacrificing sleep, exercise, nutrition, and recovery compounds the problem instead of solving it. Mental health conditions can also amplify entrepreneurial strengths, but only when they're properly understood and managed. Emotional regulation—not emotional suppression—is one of the most valuable skills founders can develop. Breathwork, mindfulness, exercise, and intentional recovery help shift your brain out of reactive mode so you can make better decisions under pressure. Creating psychological safety within your company starts with leaders who model healthy vulnerability while maintaining confidence and stability. Your family often experiences the consequences of entrepreneurial stress long before you recognize it yourself. Building a successful business should never come at the expense of your health, relationships, or ability to enjoy the success you've created. Step into a deeply joyous, expansive, soul-awakening, and paradigm-shifting conversation with Kurtis Lee Thomas, bestselling author, founder of Breathwork Detox, and one of the world's leading corporate mindfulness trainers, on this episode of Intimate Conversations: Dark Night to Divine Light. Known by many as "Man From The Stars," Kurtis bridges science, spirituality, nervous system healing, and consciousness work in a way that is both profoundly grounded and wildly transformative. Kurtis shares the extraordinary journey that awakened him to the multidimensional nature of reality, beginning with the tragic murder of his brother and the shocking experience of connecting with him through a psychic medium. What began as skepticism quickly became a complete unraveling of everything he thought he knew about life, death, spirit, intuition, and human potential. That experience ignited an insatiable curiosity that led him into years of spiritual study, shamanic training, meditation, breathwork, and deep exploration of consciousness. We explore how Kurtis became a bridge between worlds, bringing ancient healing practices like breathwork into highly analytical spaces like NASA, Fortune 500 companies, elite athletics, and corporate leadership. He explains how breathwork creates immediate and undeniable shifts in the nervous system, helping people release trauma stored in the body, regulate anxiety, access clarity, and reconnect with deeper parts of themselves beyond the thinking mind. Kurtis opens up vulnerably about his own years-long health crisis that no doctor could diagnose, and how one powerful breathwork session completely eradicated the energetic and emotional root of what his body had been carrying. Together, we dive into the profound connection between trauma, stored emotion, the subconscious mind, hypervigilance, dissociation, and the body's deep longing for safety, presence, and release. We also talk about: Spirit guides, synchronicity, and multidimensional awareness Healing grief and connecting with loved ones beyond the veil Breathwork as humanity's original medicine Anxiety, nervous system dysregulation, and emotional suppression The difference between intellectual awareness and embodied healing Why breathwork creates rapid emotional and energetic release Flow states, altered consciousness, and accessing the subconscious mind Masculinity, emotional expression, and giving men permission to feel Shadow work, soul embodiment, and learning to love all parts of ourselves Parenting, fatherhood, and raising conscious children Dream recall, intuition, and strengthening the bridge to the subconscious The global awakening currently unfolding on the planet This episode is a reminder that healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about releasing what was never yours to hang onto, softening the armor, and remembering the vast intelligence already living within your body, breath, and soul. Kurtis invites us to stop running from ourselves, trust the wisdom beneath the pain, and reconnect with the deeper truth of who we are. In this episode of The Neurodivergent Experience, Simon Scott shares some exciting personal news — he's engaged! What begins as a conversation about the proposal quickly evolves into a wider discussion about milestones, traditions, social expectations, and what happens when neurodivergent people choose to do things their own way. Simon reflects on planning a proposal that worked for both him and his fiancé, from accommodating anxiety around surprises to creating an experience that felt meaningful, comfortable, and authentic. Jordan shares his thoughts on celebrations, weddings, family expectations, and why so many social traditions seem to exist simply because “that's how it's always been done.”A funny, heartfelt, and deeply relatable conversation about love, milestones, and creating a life that works for you rather than the expectations of everyone else. Our Sponsors:

Summer schedules can be chaotic. Between kids being home, camps, vacations, sports, travel, and all the fun that comes with this season, finding time for a full workout can feel impossible. The good news? You don't need an hour-long gym session to support your health. In this episode, Dr. Des introduces the concept of "exercise snacks" — short bursts of intentional movement sprinkled throughout your day that can help you stay strong, consistent, and connected to your body all summer long. We discuss simple ways to incorporate breathwork, mobility, core work, walking, and strength into your daily routine without the pressure of a perfect workout schedule. If you've ever thought, "I'll get back into my routine after summer," this episode is for you. In This Episode, We Explore: ☀️ What exercise snacks are and why they work ☀️ Why consistency matters more than long workouts ☀️ My favorite 3-10 minute movement ideas for busy moms ☀️ How exercise snacks can support your pelvic floor and core ☀️ Easy ways to build movement into your day ☀️ Why all-or-nothing thinking keeps so many women stuck ☀️ How to create a realistic summer movement routine Why This Matters Your body doesn't need perfection. It needs consistency. Movement doesn't have to happen in a gym or require a full hour of uninterrupted time to be effective. Small, intentional moments of movement throughout your day can improve strength, mobility, energy, stress levels, and overall pelvic floor function. Summer doesn't have to be a season where you lose progress or put your health on hold. It can be a season where you learn to work with your life instead of against it. The Big Takeaway You don't need more time. You need more opportunities. Five intentional minutes count. A quick walk counts. A short mobility session counts. A few strength exercises while your kids play count. The goal isn't perfection — it's staying connected to your body. Want Support This Summer? You've heard the word Tantra thrown around, maybe even Googled it at 11pm and come away more confused than when you started. Same. In this episode, Leah and Willow go straight to the source, your listener questions, and bust the biggest myths about Tantra, tantric sex, and what any of this actually has to do with your real life, your real body, and your real relationships. ⛤ Classical vs. neo-Tantra explained. Tantra means "tool for expansion" and neo-Tantra is showing up right now as a vehicle for sexual healing, because the culture needs it.⛤ White Tantra vs. red Tantra. White Tantra is practicing your instrument solo (breath, meditation, presence). Red Tantra is making music with the band. You need both.⛤ Ejaculatory choice. Tantra may be the most effective, side-effect-free path for men who want to last longer. Breath and sound are the two primary dials and learning to ride the arousal scale changes everything.⛤ What a tantric orgasm actually is. Forget the genital sneeze. Full-body orgasms spread sensation from genitals to fingertips, toes, heart, and third eye and your body can be trained to get there.⛤ Why sounding is non-negotiable. The jaw and throat mirror the pelvic bowl, and the vagus nerve runs right through it. Making sound isn't just sexy, it's how sensation travels through your whole body.⛤ Breathwork as your fastest on-ramp. Slow nasal breathing drops cortisol, eases performance anxiety, and helps partners co-regulate, making intimacy feel safer and more pleasurable, fast.LINKS & RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THE EPISODE CAN BE FOUND ON THE WEBSITE: https://www.sexreimagined.com/blog/tantric-sex-questions-answered The Sacred Spot Weekend | July 17-19, 2026 in NYC | Join Leah & Guy Shahar to learn the Tantric Sacred Spot Ritual Sequence! There's no shortage of health advice. You don't need another supplement, another protocol, or another expert telling you what to optimize. What most people actually need is a better way to organize what already matters. This week I'm sharing the six pillars I've built my health around for the last 30 years of training, competing, raising a family, and running businesses. Not a program. Not a trend. A set of pillars that tested whether the system actually holds. Habitat, mindset, breath, nutrition, movement, recovery, and connection. These aren't new ideas. They're the ones that keep showing up no matter what the research cycle says this week. The goal isn't perfection across all of them. The goal is to know where you are, keep heading in the right direction and how to build your own version - because yours won't look exactly like mine, and it shouldn't.What we explore:- How your external and internal habitat - light, air, self-talk, and unresolved business - shapes your health more than most people realize.- Why mindset only works when it's grounded in your actual values, not the ones you think you're supposed to have.- How to use breath as a practical tool for down-regulation, activation, and recovery without needing a formal practice.- What I eat, how I think about protein and carbohydrates at different life stages, and why I finally went on hormone therapy at 56.- Why connection - starting with yourself - is the most biologically primitive and most neglected pillar of all.Chapters:00:00 Intro01:20 The 6 Pillars That Actually Move the Needle04:28 Small Home Changes That Reduce Your Toxic Load06:01 Align Your Mindset With Your Real Values11:30 Breathwork for Calm, Energy, and Better Sleep16:38 How to Eat for Your Age, Activity, and Life Stage19:41 Intermittent Fasting Rules Are Different for Women22:38 How to Train Hard Without Injuring Yourself28:24 Sauna, Cold Exposure, and Active Recovery Habits32:05 Why Connection Starts With Yourself First34:32 What 30 Years of Marriage Taught Gabby About Honesty37:35 Hamilton House: Living the Pillars With Community–This episode is sponsored by:AX3: Clean supplements, real standards.

In this episode, I'm joined by our wonderful breathwork facilitator, Casey May Aubin. Casey has been guiding the breathwork sessions inside the Calm Woman Collective for well over a year now, and I'm so excited to finally have her on the podcast to share more of her story, wisdom, and approach to healing. Casey opens up about a pivotal moment in her life when everything she thought was certain suddenly changed. What followed was an unexpected journey of curiosity, self-discovery, and ultimately finding the work she was meant to do. We also dive into a unique style of breathwork called Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery (RBM) and how it differs from the more intense breathwork practices many people are familiar with. If you've ever felt called to explore breathwork, or found traditional breathwork styles too overwhelming for your nervous system, this conversation offers a refreshing and empowering perspective. We talk about: How following curiosity, not a plan, can lead you somewhere extraordinary The moment of betrayal that became an unexpected doorway to solo adventure Why intense breathwork can crack you open but not always create lasting change How RBM gives the power of healing back to the participant, not the practitioner Where to find Casey: Instagram: @regulateyourstate Website: https://www.regulateyourstate.com.au/
Advice culture is filled with memorable instructions: do the hard thing, get comfortable being uncomfortable, follow your passion, try your hardest, live a life of service, and remember: no pain, no gain. Each phrase carries potential wisdom. Each one also carries assumptions about the body, nervous system, health, capacity, and circumstances of the person receiving it.In this episode of Mindful Mondays, Ashley continues the From Mask to Map series by exploring the neurodivergent nuance of advice culture and asking a vital question:*Is this resistance, or is this a warning signal?*Through the metaphor of the moulting lobster, personal stories of chronic over-functioning, and examples drawn from fitness, creativity, service, work, and personal growth, Ashley explores how motivational advice can support courage in one context and encourage self-override in another. This episode considers:* how healthy discomfort can build confidence and capacity* why agency and choice matter when stretching a comfort zone* the risks of interpreting “no pain, no gain” too literally* why maximum effort is rarely the same as wise effort* how following your passion can become another form of over-functioning* the Buddhist principle of Right Effort* how Aware, Allow, Align can help you translate advice through the reality of your own nervous systemThe episode closes with *Breathing the Inner Map*, a gentle imaginal breathing journey inspired by the work of yoga nidra teacher Ally Boothroyd. The practice uses breath, sensation, imagery, and awareness to deepen your connection with the body's subtle language and strengthen your capacity for discernment.Because advice becomes wisdom when it is placed in relationship with reality.Find Ashley's longer meditations, Yoga Nidras, nervous system practices, and Bedtime Alchemy stories on Insight Timer by searching *Ashley Dupuy*.To register your interest in Ashley's September group coaching cohort, email *[integrativeiom@gmail.com](mailto:integrativeiom@gmail.com)*Our Sponsors:

A new wave of healers. Have you noticed? Not the ones who can quote every chakra and recite manifestation techniques like AI bot. I'm talking about the ones who've actually walked through to the other side of shadow work. Who know what it costs… not in theory, but in the body, in the bank account, in the losses of relationships that didn't survive. These healers aren't typical. They didn't rush their shit. They were in the depths - constricting and contracting over and over again. They didn't build a brand around their awakening before the dust even settled. They sat in the wreckage long enough to actually integrate what broke them open and that takes time most people aren't willing to give it. This is a different kind of healer. One who isn't performing transformation, but embodying it. An activator. Living life. One who isn't selling you a shortcut, because they know there isn't one. If that's you, you've done the work in the dark, alone, with no audience and no applause. You're diving deeper with every step. It's time to EMBODY it. ▲ 1:1 Private Mentorship: https://www.alwaysplay.org/dive ▲ Flows Over Flaws: Creative Perfectionism Masterclass: https://www.alwaysplay.org/flows-over-flaws ▲ Become a certified breathwork facilitator: https://www.flowbreathworktraining.com/ ▲ Learn your Healer Archetype: https://www.alwaysplay.org/healerarchetype ▲ Read my Breathwork book, Breathe: https://www.alwaysplay.org/orderbreathe ▲ Free Playground for Mystics: https://tinyurl.com/playground222 ▲ Connect on social: @shanila.sattar ▲ YouTube: / shanilasattar
A journey into the power of conscious breathing for therapy and everyday life. Breathing is at the center of our lives, yet we are only beginning to tap into its full potential as a tool for healing. Conscious breathing is a powerful mechanism for transforming our physiological, emotional, and brain states, and is the fastest way to cultivate integrated presence. However, its full capacity for facilitating healing, personal development, stronger relationships, self-actualization, and personal and collective love is vastly unrecognized and underutilized. In Breathwork and Psychotherapy: Clinical Applications for Healing and Transformation (W. W. Norton, 2025), breathwork expert Jessica Dibb offers compelling reasons to integrate the power of breathwork with psychotherapy and other healing and wellness practices. Here readers will find inspiration for daily breathwork practice as well as the methods, case examples, and actionable advice needed to incorporate breathwork into therapeutic sessions. Send us Fan MailHave you ever tried to think your way out of stress... and somehow ended up more exhausted? This week, we're resharing a powerful conversation from 2024 that feels just as relevant today.Because for so many high achievers, the answer to overwhelm seems obvious: work harder, learn more, fix the mindset, push through. But what if the thing you're trying to solve isn't living in your thoughts at all?In this episode, Alex sits down with breathwork coach Jen Broyles to explore the hidden relationship between stress, anxiety, performance, and the body. Not from a place of fixing. From a place of listening.Together, they unpack why emotions often stay stuck long after the moment has passed, why resisting what you feel can keep you trapped in it, and how something as simple as your breath can shift the state your brain and body operate from.Because your nervous system is always listening. And sometimes the breakthrough isn't another strategy. It's creating enough space to hear what your body has been trying to tell you all along. What if the anxiety isn't the enemy? What if the buzzing, the overwhelm, the tension, is actually carrying a message? And what becomes possible when you stop fighting yourself and start working with yourself?Sometimes the fastest way forward... is to slow down.
What if the healing you've been searching for isn't found by doing more, but by listening more deeply to the nudges already guiding you?In this fascinating conversation, I sit down with Anya Halama, holistic mentor, Akashic Records practitioner, and ayahuasca retreat facilitator, to explore her incredible journey from chronic illness, anxiety, depression, and burnout to a life devoted to healing, spiritual growth, and transformation.Anya shares how a powerful inner nudge led her to leave her life in Chicago behind, travel the world, and eventually find herself deep in the Colombian jungle working with plant medicine and guiding others through their own healing journeys.Together we explore the role of intuition, spiritual guidance, ancestral healing, generational trauma, and the profound lessons that can emerge when we stop resisting change and start trusting the unknown.Whether you're curious about ayahuasca, interested in deep healing, or simply learning to trust your own inner guidance, this episode offers wisdom, perspective, and practical insights to support your journey.Key Themes✨ Trusting the nudges that change your life✨ Healing ancestral and generational patterns✨ Ayahuasca as a tool for self-discovery and transformation✨ Connecting with spirit guides and intuition✨ The importance of preparation, integration, and self-responsibilityTakeaways
Goddesses, your breath is always with you, but often do you actually use it with intention? This is about slowing down, it's about getting clear. Your breath has the power to reset your mind, center your body, and bring you back to yourself in moments of stress or uncertainty. Today, we're going to explore how breathwork can help you think more clearly, feel more grounded, and move through life with greater ease.
In today's episode, Gina discusses the important tool of breathwork for calming anxiety. Specifically, breathwork is addressed in the frame of when it goes wrong: sometimes, trying to use breathwork with the wrong idea in mind can make anxiety worse. Listen in for a better understanding of how using breathwork in the wrong ways or at the wrong times can make anxiety worse, and how to use breathwork in a gentler way to help get the most benefit out of it.Stillpoint Fridays is my once-a-week Friday note — a slower, more personal reflection that's different from what I share on the podcast. We explain that while breath awareness and structured techniques can be helpful for some, they can also become uncomfortable when they turn into a task that must be done correctly. We describe how practices such as box breathing, 4-7-8 breathing, guided breathing apps, and other counted methods can lead to monitoring, checking, and pressure to perform relaxation. For people with high anxiety and heightened bodily awareness, focusing closely on the breath can amplify sensations like air hunger, chest tightness, dizziness, and muscle tension. We also discuss the shame that can follow when a technique does not work as expected. Instead of feeling calmer, people may start thinking that something is wrong with them, which adds anxiety about anxiety and can make them give up on helpful practices altogether. As an alternative, we suggest less control and less effort. We focus on a gentle, slightly longer exhale without counting, tracking, or trying to force calm. The emphasis is on reducing struggle, allowing the breath to soften naturally, and avoiding the expectation that the practice should immediately erase anxiety. We close by noting that the goal is not perfect calm, but less self-judgment and less internal pressure. We encourage a simple experiment of noticing the next exhale and letting it be a little softer, with the reminder that sometimes the most regulating thing is to stop trying so hard to regulate.#Anxiety #Breathwork #Mindfulness #PanicAttack #BoxBreathing #NervousSystem #MentalHealth #SomaticHealing #ACTTherapy #StressRelief #SelfCare #OvercomingAnxiety #Interoception #AnxietyCoachesPodcast #GinaRyan #Calm #EmotionalHealth #SelfAcceptance #HealingJourney #HolisticHealth #AirHunger #NervousSystemRegulation #ClaireWeeks #SomaticTracking #HypervigilanceRecovery #AnxietyTips #BreathworkBackfires #Parasympathetic #StopTryingToFixYourself #PermissionToSoften #LessControlMorePeace #AnxietySupport #MentalHealthAwareness #GentleHealing #DropTheStruggle #EmotionalRegulation #ItsOkayToJustBe #MindfulBreathing #SensoryOverload #HealingIsNotLinear #ACPSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
SHOW NOTESThis episode is for anyone dealing with constipation, bloating, reflux, abdominal pain or IBS.And really, anyone who wants to protect their gut, reduce stress and feel better overall. When we think about gut health, we usually start with food… what to eat, what to cut out, which diet or supplement to try next. And while nutrition is foundational, there's another side we don't talk about enough: the constant conversation between your brain and your gut
THE BALANCED MOMTALITY- Pelvic Floor/Core Rehab For The Pregnant and Postpartum Mom
Most women think of their core as their abs—but your core is so much more than that. Your rib cage, diaphragm, pelvic floor, and abdominal wall all work together as a pressure management system. When one piece isn't functioning well, the entire system can struggle. In this episode, Dr. Des dives into one of the most overlooked components of core and pelvic floor health: the rib cage. We discuss how pregnancy, postpartum recovery, stress, posture, and even modern lifestyles can impact rib mobility, breathing mechanics, and ultimately your ability to generate strength and support. If you've been dealing with core weakness, pelvic floor symptoms, diastasis recti, chronic tension, or feel like you've hit a plateau in your recovery, this episode may help uncover a missing piece of the puzzle. In This Episode, We Explore: ✨ Why your rib cage is an important part of your core system ✨ How breathing, posture, and pressure management are connected ✨ The effects of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and stress on rib mobility ✨ Common signs your rib cage may not be moving well ✨ The difference between rib flare and healthy rib movement ✨ How rib mobility affects your pelvic floor and core function ✨ Simple exercises to improve rib cage mobility and breathing Why This Matters A strong core isn't just about stronger abs. Your ability to breathe, rotate, move, and manage pressure all depend on how well your rib cage and diaphragm function within the larger core system. Improving rib mobility can often improve breathing, reduce tension, enhance core activation, and help your body move more efficiently. This whole-body approach is exactly what we focus on inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE, where we address the entire pressure management system—not just the symptoms. ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app If this episode helped you think differently about your core, share it with a friend who's been working on her abs but may actually need to start with her ribs.

This inspiring discussion offers a fresh perspective on how something as simple and accessible as the breath can become a gateway to lasting transformation.KEY TAKEAWAYSMost people breathe inefficiently, often through chronic hyperventilation or mouth breathing, which may contribute to ongoing stress and nervous system dysregulation.Breathing patterns and VO₂ max are among the strongest indicators of long-term health and longevity, yet are often overlooked in conventional healthcare.Trauma may be carried not only emotionally but also within the body, and breathwork can support the release of stored stress and unresolved emotional experiences.Breathwork serves as a bridge between science and spirituality, offering practical tools for both physiological regulation and personal growth.Healing often involves emotional release, and conscious breathing can help people reconnect with themselves, access deeper awareness, and create meaningful change in their lives.BEST MOMENTS"I just became really interested in making my pain my mission.""It's not just you thinking about someone bullying you one time… at the cellular level, we can hold trauma.""There isn't a person out there who cannot be helped with breathwork.""You can read about it all you want, but you're not going to get good at it until you actually do it.""This is not just going to change your physiology and change your lineage, but it's also going to change your personality."GUEST INFORMATIONMJ Renshaw is the founder of The Being Method, a somatic breathwork educator, bestselling author, and mentor whose work bridges science and spirituality. In this episode of Mindful Mondays, Ashley continues the From Mask to Map series by exploring the neurodivergent nuance of Mel Robbins' Let Them theory - a powerful idea rooted in acceptance, non-attachment, and the release of control. At its best, Let Them invites us to stop exhausting ourselves by trying to manage other people's choices, opinions, priorities, and reactions. But for neurodivergent people, especially those with histories of masking, fawning, burnout, chronic illness, trauma, or self-abandonment, advice like this needs careful translation.Ashley explores how Let Them connects with mindfulness, Buddhism, Radical Acceptance, and her emerging framework: Aware > Allow > Align. You'll hear how acceptance becomes safer and more embodied when we learn to:* become aware of what is happening externally and internally* allow reality, emotions, body signals, and nervous system responses to be recognised* align with values, boundaries, safety, dignity, and self-trustThis episode looks at why “acceptance” can sometimes be misunderstood as approval, passivity, or tolerance of harm - and how neurodivergent nuance helps us see reality clearly without abandoning ourselves. The episode closes with a simple mindfulness labelling meditation, using the breath and gentle noticing to practise Aware > Allow > Align in real time.If this work resonates and you're interested in Ashley's September group coaching cohort, you can email [integrativeiom@gmail.com](mailto:integrativeiom@gmail.com) to register your interest. Our Sponsors:

THE BALANCED MOMTALITY- Pelvic Floor/Core Rehab For The Pregnant and Postpartum Mom
If you've ever been told to "just breathe" for your pelvic floor, core, stress, or recovery... you may have wondered: What kind of breathing are we actually talking about? Because not all breathing serves the same purpose. In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down the important difference between breathwork for nervous system regulation and relaxation versus breathing within a brace for core strength, stability, and pressure management. You'll learn why both are valuable, when to use each, and why understanding the difference can be a game changer for pelvic floor health, exercise performance, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and everyday movement. If you've ever felt confused by conflicting advice around breathing, core engagement, or pelvic floor function, this episode will help connect the dots. In This Episode, We Explore: ✨ The difference between breathwork and breathing for stability ✨ How breathing affects the nervous system, stress, and muscle tension ✨ What "breathing within a brace" actually means ✨ Why relaxation and support are both important for pelvic floor health ✨ Common mistakes like breath holding, belly sucking, and over-bracing ✨ When to focus on nervous system regulation versus pressure management ✨ How breathing changes during exercise, lifting, running, and daily activities ✨ Why adaptability is the true goal for your core and pelvic floor Why This Matters One of the biggest misconceptions in pelvic floor rehab is that there is one "right" way to breathe. In reality, your body needs different breathing strategies for different situations. Sometimes your nervous system needs relaxation and recovery. Other times your body needs stability, pressure management, and support. Learning how to move between those states is often the missing piece for women dealing with leaking, pelvic pain, prolapse, core weakness, tension, or difficulty returning to exercise. The Big Takeaway The healthiest pelvic floor isn't always relaxed. And it isn't always braced. It's adaptable. Your body should be able to relax when it needs recovery and create support when life demands strength. That flexibility is what allows you to move, lift, exercise, parent, and live with confidence. Want to Learn How to Apply This? Inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE, you'll learn how to use breathwork, pressure management, mobility, and strength training together to create a core and pelvic floor that are strong, responsive, and resilient. ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE?
