Authentic personal branding has never been more important—or more misunderstood. In an era where AI-generated content floods the internet and social media algorithms reward superficial engagement, how can entrepreneurs, founders, and creators cut through the noise and actually connect? That's the question at the heart of this powerful episode of Fordify LIVE! The Business Growth Show, featuring internationally acclaimed filmmaker, spoken word artist, and entrepreneur Prince EA. If you've ever wondered how to build a brand that resonates on a human level, this episode is for you. Prince EA joins Ford Saeks to unpack the mindset and methods behind his global influence, including what it takes to turn passion into purpose, and how authenticity is the greatest differentiator in the marketplace today. With over 2 billion views across his platforms, Prince EA doesn't just talk about authentic personal branding—he lives it. Throughout the episode, Ford and Prince dive into the essential shift from making content to making connection. They explore how intentional storytelling rooted in emotion, clarity, and vulnerability can elevate not only your brand, but your impact. Whether you're a founder, executive, or creator, the conversation reinforces that your most powerful asset isn't a marketing budget or production quality—it's your voice, your story, and your willingness to show up with purpose. Prince EA shares insights into his journey from aspiring musician to viral content creator, and how that pivot came from focusing less on self-promotion and more on service. That mindset is the foundation of authentic personal branding. It's not about being everywhere—it's about being real wherever you are. And as Prince points out, real connection can't be outsourced, delegated, or replicated by automation. Ford adds his own experience working with businesses around the world, emphasizing how too many leaders skip the step of building a genuine brand voice. Together, they highlight that in a world where AI can do almost everything, the human element—empathy, creativity, and clarity—becomes your competitive advantage. The episode doesn't just talk high-level branding theory. It gets into the practical realities of content strategy, digital influence, and the role of platforms like YouTube in building long-term brand equity. From viral video structure to leveraging emotion without manipulation, the conversation is rich with real-world wisdom that can shift how you approach your business and brand immediately. What makes this episode truly powerful is the reminder that authenticity isn't a tactic—it's a commitment. It's about aligning your message, your mission, and your medium. Authentic personal branding isn't just about standing out. It's about standing for something—and allowing that clarity to guide your decisions, content, and communication. Whether you're just starting out or looking to amplify your message in a crowded market, this episode offers a refreshing take on what it means to build influence that lasts. Prince EA's grounded insights paired with Ford's business growth strategies deliver a conversation that's both inspiring and actionable. Don't miss this impactful episode with Prince EA. It will challenge the way you think about branding, influence, and the value of showing up as your full self in business and beyond. Watch the full episode on YouTube. A lot of creatives think we are doomed to a life without systems because that's not our natural inclination. Our business is “us,” which makes it difficult to scale. I know that I personally have trouble making the connection between who I am as a photographer and my branding. Whether or not systems come easily to you, it's time to put on our “big-boy pants.” All businesses need to revisit the fundamentals of mission statements, values, systems, and customers. You have to believe in your business and your ability to run it. Yes, it's all Business 101, but it works. To remind us of the basics of a successful business, I've brought on podcast host, speaker and interior designer LuAnn Nigara. LuAnn co-owns, with her husband Vince and cousin Bill, Window Works in Livingston NJ. It is a 10-person firm, specializing in window treatments and awnings, with annual sales of 2 million+, and have serviced more than 25,000 clients since opening in 1982. LuAnn is also the host of the #1, 5-star rated, interior design business podcast, A Well-Designed Business. To learn how to create your own well-designed business by dreaming, visualizing, and intending, download this episode now. THE STAND UP WARRIOR “Your ideal customer is like your favorite pair of jeans” -LuAnn Nigara Highlights - The best sale on the planet is a win-win. Carefully think about the intersection of confidence, goals, and a plan. If a car's goal is to have four wheels, they all have to go in the same direction. To grow your company, you need to have non-negotiable values you teach your employees. The customer isn't always right, but what you do want is an advocate for your company. When you can turn a negative customer into a happy one, that is your best advocate. They've seen the fulfillment of your marketing promise. Be a “systems freak.” Dream, visualize, and intend. The Breakdown:The first move most people make in a crisis is often the one that causes the most damage. It happens when emotion outruns strategy, and the brain mistakes public pressure for personal danger. The result is impulsive action, usually in the form of a rushed post, a scrambled statement, or a desperate attempt to make the backlash go away. But the real problem isn't public. It's neurological. This episode explains why the body's threat response takes over during high-stakes moments, and how that hijack shuts down the very part of the brain responsible for leadership, regulation, and long-term thinking. It's not about judgment. It's about biology. This episode walks through what this looks like in real-time, how to recognize the signs, and what to do before speaking on the record, hitting publish, or involving legal.Want More Behind the Breakdown? Supporting healthy employees isn't just about offering perks—it's about creating a workplace culture where well-being translates into productivity and long-term success. Few understand this better than Cody Beard, owner of Prime IV Hydration & Wellness in Wichita. With years of leadership experience in manufacturing and a deep commitment to health, Beard brings a unique perspective on why wellness strategies should be at the core of every business. Employee well-being has evolved far beyond casual mentions in mission statements. Today, businesses face growing challenges with burnout, stress, and turnover. For Ford Saeks, business growth strategist and host of The Business Growth Show, this is more than an HR issue—it's a business performance strategy. Saeks often reminds leaders that their people are their most valuable asset, and organizations that fail to prioritize health are missing a critical growth lever. Beard's own journey underscores this truth. Before launching Prime IV, he spent years managing large teams in demanding manufacturing environments, where efficiency and engagement were constant priorities. “I was always looking for ways to keep my team safe, maintain wellness, and drive engagement,” Beard explains. Traditional measures like on-site chiropractors and massage therapists helped, but he recognized the need for something more impactful—something that went beyond words and delivered real results. That search led Beard and his wife to Prime IV Hydration & Wellness. What began as a personal commitment to better health evolved into a mission-driven business designed to help others achieve the same. Today, Beard operates two Prime IV locations in Wichita, offering hydration and vitamin therapies that support energy, focus, and recovery. For business leaders, these services represent more than a luxury—they're a practical solution for supporting healthy employees in a fast-paced world. The connection between wellness and workplace performance isn't theoretical. Organizations that invest in employee health consistently report higher retention rates, stronger engagement, and increased productivity. Beard sees this firsthand with companies that implement wellness strategies through Prime IV. “There's a difference between saying you value your employees and actually doing something about it,” he says. Providing tangible resources shows employees that their well-being truly matters, creating trust and loyalty that no policy document can match. Saeks points out another key advantage: differentiation. In an era of talent shortages, offering meaningful wellness initiatives can set businesses apart from competitors. “Healthy employees don't just work harder—they work smarter,” Saeks emphasizes. Companies that prioritize health send a clear message about their culture, which resonates with top talent and strengthens employer branding. One of Beard's most practical suggestions for companies hesitant to start is simple: take one step. That might mean inviting a wellness provider for a lunch-and-learn, or giving team members a chance to experience a service firsthand. “Send in a champion from your team,” Beard advises. “Once they experience the benefits, it becomes easy to advocate for more.” This grassroots approach often sparks the momentum needed to make wellness part of the organizational fabric. Beyond physical health, Beard sees wellness as a catalyst for engagement and morale. The experience at Prime IV is designed with this in mind. From calming environments to personalized care, every detail is aimed at helping clients feel valued and cared for—an experience that businesses can mirror within their own culture. “Our goal is to make wellness approachable and enjoyable,” Beard explains. “When people feel better, they show up better—in every aspect of life.” Supporting healthy employees isn't a passing trend. It's a long-term strategy for businesses that want to thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape. For leaders like Saeks and Beard, the message is clear: prioritize your people's health, and performance will follow. Watch the full episode on YouTube. In this episode of The Self-Employed Life, I had the pleasure of speaking with leadership advisor and host of The Virtual Campfire, Tony Martignetti. Tony shares what it means to live as a multidimensional person in a one-dimensional world, explaining how we are too often asked to compartmentalize or suppress parts of ourselves. Together, we explore why people feel trapped in narrow roles, how integrating hidden passions can unlock our true potential, and why embracing our multidimensional selves may be the key to solving today's most pressing challenges. Tony also introduces his Illumination Framework—a four-step path to uncovering what matters most and living with full expression. This episode is for anyone who feels boxed in by expectations, craves the freedom to express their true self, and is ready to step fully into the light of who they are meant to be. Today, on Notable Leaders' Radio, I speak with Andrea Wilson Woods, President & Founder, Blue Faery. She highlights how she transformed early hardship, loss, and fierce protectiveness into founding Blue Faery, a nonprofit dedicated to liver cancer advocacy, while sharing lessons on empathy, resilience, and finding joy amidst adversity. In today's episode, we discuss: Recognize the power of role models in shaping your identity. Reflect on who inspired you in childhood (real or fictional) and what qualities you admired. Consciously apply those traits—such as resilience, strength, or compassion—in your daily decisions and relationships, just as Andrea channeled Wonder Woman's fierceness and protectiveness throughout her life. Practice “detachment with empathy.” If you work or volunteer in caregiving or helping professions, learn to care deeply without carrying every burden as your own. Create emotional boundaries so you can keep showing up with compassion, just as Andrea does, without risking burnout. Use counseling, mindfulness, or peer support to reinforce this practice. Intentionally cultivate moments of joy and humor, even during tough times. Look for lightness: share a joke with loved ones, recall funny memories, or build small rituals that make you smile. “Joy is a resilient muscle, strengthening it will give you balance and energy to keep going.” Separate your self-worth from your achievements. Reflect on how your roles (career, family, volunteer, etc.) do not define your value. Develop interests and relationships untethered to performance, and give yourself grace in moments of transition—embrace who you are, not just what you do. Join or build supportive communities. If you or someone you know is affected by a particular challenge (like liver cancer), seek out or help create organizations and groups that provide understanding and resources—there's power in connection and shared experience. Most of us introduce ourselves with a title: “I'm a coach,” “I'm a banker,” “I'm a podcaster.” The problem with this is that the moment you do that, you've put yourself in the same box as everyone else with that title. This week's PR Breakdown isn't about a corporate crisis or a press release gone wrong. It's about satire — and the way it forces a reaction. In the latest season of South Park, Matt Stone and Trey Parker have turned their aim on the Trump administration, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, and the culture of punditry. It's not subtle. It's not sanitized. And it's definitely not for the thin-skinned.The second episode, “Got a Nut,” skewers both sides of the aisle while delivering a masterclass in what happens when satire hits a nerve. The White House called the show “irrelevant” — a statement that instantly proved the opposite. Noem leaned into the joke publicly, then undercut herself in interviews. And Charlie Kirk tried to be in on the humor while still nursing the sting. Here's what I cover in this episode:Why this season of South Park is landing harder than most political commentaryThe specific targets in Episode 2, and the satirical tactics behind themHow public figures misplay their responses to being parodiedWhy defensiveness is the loudest admission of relevanceThe crisis takeaway: When satire calls you out, your response matters more than the jokeSatire works because it holds up a mirror. In PR, what you do next decides whether people see the reflection as truth or just a caricature.Want More Behind the Breakdown? Today, on Notable Leaders' Radio, I speak with Chad Hufford, founder and lead advisor, Veritas Wealth Management. He highlights how embracing failure as experimentation, focusing on intentional choices, and building life by design, not by default, can lead to real, lasting success and fulfillment. In today's episode, we discuss: Recognize the impact of early role models. Examine who influenced you most in childhood and what values or lessons they modeled. Understanding these roots helps clarify the foundation for your present decisions and leadership style, guiding you toward more authentic, intentional living. Build resilience through stepping into the unknown. Consider experiences that pushed you out of your comfort zone, as Chad's Alaskan upbringing did for him. Cultivating tolerance for uncertainty sharpens your adaptability and prepares you for difficult leadership decisions, which is key for navigating change and adversity. Use blueprints as flexible guides. Develop clear strategies and plans (your “blueprint”), but remain open to adapting as circumstances shift. This approach keeps you proactive but nimble, allowing you to celebrate progress rather than judge imperfection—making goal achievement less overwhelming and more rewarding. Celebrate controllable actions over uncontrollable outcomes. Focus your efforts on the daily choices you can influence instead of external results like market trends or other people's behavior. This shift builds a sense of agency, boosts motivation, and creates sustainable progress toward long-term goals. Claim the driver's seat in your life. Acknowledge where you've been passive or reactive, and commit to making decisions that align with your values and vision. This empowers you to move from feeling stuck or at the mercy of circumstance to actively shaping your own fulfillment and success. Focus on mindset to create lasting change. Prioritize internal shifts in thinking and resilience, as Chad's book emphasizes, rather than just external “how-tos.” Cultivating an abundant and intentional mindset makes every step toward growth—financial or personal—feel more meaningful and achievable. RESOURCES: Guest Bio Chad Hufford, a lifelong Alaskan, is a financial advisor, speaker, and bestselling author of “Forging Financial Freedom”. Spa franchise growth is evolving beyond the basics of service menus and storefront expansion. Today, the most successful wellness brands scale by blending luxury with purpose—offering not just treatments, but experiences that restore, connect, and inspire. One brand leading this shift is Spavia Day Spa, founded by Allison Langenderfer. What began as a single-location concept has grown into a nationwide franchise known for elevated guest experiences, thoughtfully curated retail, and a culture deeply rooted in care. In the world of franchising, many chase unit growth without laying the cultural or operational foundation to support it. Spavia flipped that model. From the beginning, Allison built the brand around intention—delivering consistent, high-end spa services while fostering connection between guests, team members, and franchise owners. That clarity of purpose has become a major driver of Spavia's franchise growth, helping the brand stand out in a saturated industry. Allison's path to launching a wellness franchise wasn't traditional. Her background includes a successful run as a Macy's buyer, followed by a decade in pharmaceutical sales. That experience gave her a strong foundation in operations, customer engagement, and market strategy—all skills she now channels into leading Spavia. But what really sets her leadership apart is a strong emotional intelligence and unwavering focus on community. Whether it's through the brand's nonprofit initiative, Spavia Cares, or their dedication to franchisee support, the company's mission goes beyond profit—it's about impact. Spa franchise growth requires more than just a great treatment menu. Spavia places significant emphasis on guest experience—from the curated arrival ritual to the tranquil spa environment and personalized service. Each location is designed to offer a high-end, boutique feel while staying approachable and community-focused. This attention to detail has fueled word-of-mouth buzz and repeat visits, while also giving franchise owners a proven model to plug into. As the wellness space becomes more crowded, differentiation matters more than ever. Spavia's approach includes an expertly developed retail program, a market-driven service lineup, and strong national branding that still allows room for local connection. Franchisees aren't just operators—they're partners, empowered with tools and support that help them maintain brand standards while customizing for their markets. That balance is a key ingredient in scalable success and a foundational principle in Spavia's growth strategy. The heart of Spavia's spa franchise growth lies in its people. From estheticians to guest advisors to franchise owners, culture and connection drive performance. The company places a strong emphasis on training, empowerment, and creating a workplace where employees can thrive. That translates directly into the guest experience—warm, consistent, and tailored. Franchisees benefit from a model that's been tested, refined, and supported with systems. Spavia's leadership has intentionally built an infrastructure to scale, not just in size but in depth. As more entrepreneurs look to enter the wellness space, Spavia offers an opportunity to join a brand that's not just growing, but growing the right way. For those exploring franchise opportunities or seeking to lead with purpose in the health and wellness industry, Spavia stands as a prime example of how mission-driven values and a refined guest experience can fuel long-term success. In this episode of The Self-Employed Life, I had the great pleasure of speaking with the author of the forthcoming book From Fear to Flow: Transcending the Ego and Living the Life You Were Meant to Live, Tom Roberts. Tom uses his experience on the racetrack and in dentistry to challenge the conventional view of flow as simply a performance tool and instead presents it as a natural, authentic state of being that emerges when we learn to quiet the ego. We explore how flow mirrors deep meditative states, why the ego is often the biggest obstacle to our growth, and how to move through the four stages of flow without burning out. Our conversation offers insights that will resonate with anyone who is ready to rediscover the power and freedom already within. Guest Bios:Brittanny Kreutzer started The Speaker Exchange Agency with a background in sales and a love for the speaking industry. She was given a taste of the speaking industry while interning in college for Nancy Lauterbach, a past speakers bureau owner. Upon graduation from college she began a successful career selling radio space and developing radio campaigns for CBS Radio in Kansas City; however, after a few years the excitement of the speaking industry drew her back in. After working at a speakers bureau for several years and becoming one of the top sales executives, she took a break to spend time with her newborn baby Madison. The love she has for this industry struck again and after only a short month's break, Brittanny combined forces with her past colleague and friend, Julie Homsey, to create The Speaker Exchange Agency, LLC. Jeff Bigelow joined SpeakInc in 1995, became Partner in 1996, and with over seventeen years of experience in the industry, still loves what he does. Jeff is a graduate of California State University of Northridge with a B.A. in Radio, Television, Film. At SpeakInc he works both in the corporate market, as well as the association market and is actively involved in the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). Outside of his time in the office, Jeff can be found relaxing at the nearest beach or swinging the clubs on one of Southern California's amazing golf courses. What brings him the most joy, of course, is spending time with his wife, Denise, and daughter, Faith.Takeaways:There are a lot more speakers now, requiring more time to review information. The buying cycle for clients has dramatically shortened.Clients are increasingly using AI tools like ChatGPT to find speakers.Understanding the psychology of the audience is crucial for speaker selection.Pre-booking calls have become more common and important.Speakers should provide valuable information, not just check-ins.Top speakers maintain strong communication and relationships with agents.Speaker fees have increased, but value should not be tied solely to fees.AI is a growing topic of interest in the speaking industry. The human element in the speaking industry remains irreplaceable.Chapters:00:00 - The Evolution of the Speaking Industry03:01 - Shifts in Client Expectations05:57 - Understanding the Buying Process09:02 - The Role of Tone and Style in Speaker Selection12:01 - The Importance of Pre-Booking Calls15:12 - Staying Top of Mind in a Crowded Market19:01 - Understanding Speaker Engagement and Connection22:19 - The Top 5% of Speakers: What Sets Them Apart25:17 - Navigating Speaker Fees in a Changing Economy30:15 - The Impact of AI on the Speaking Industry34:00 - The Future of the Speaking Industry: Human Element vs. Technology35:35 - What We Love and Hate About the Speaking IndustryResourcesLearn more about Brittanny Kreutzer:WebsiteLinkedInLearn more about Jeff Bigelow:WebsiteLinkedInLearn more about Josh Linkner:WebsiteYouTubeLinkedInInstagramXFacebookABOUT MIC DROP:Hear from the world's top thought leaders and experts, sharing tipping point moments, strategies, and approaches that led to their speaking career success. Sorry as I was gone this last week. I visited Disneyland's 70th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. There is so much to talk about when it comes to this celebration of "The Happiest Place on Earth". But the primary reason I felt drawn to come at this time was the new show at the Opera House on Main Street. I feel there is not one but two stories about the new attraction: Walt Disney: A Magical Life. This is of course the highly sophisticated and highly controversial animatronic show of Walt Disney. And I have much to say about that show experience. And to understand all of this, you have to understand efforts made earlier to help people relate to Walt Disney, to include The Walt Disney Story, One Man's Dream and even Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. It's a deep dive review for sure. But there is a larger conversation about how Disney is reconnecting more people to what they once loved in their youth, experiences that foster ties. It's as if Disney has finally realized that their history, their heritage, and their stories really do matter. And they seem to be doing much more moving forward to building on that theme. This podcast looks at Walt Disney's Magical Life and so much more. _______________________________________________________ More Disney Insights can be found below! Customer experience franchise growth has become the difference-maker for brands that aim to scale in today's competitive market. It's no longer enough to have a recognizable logo or a trendy product. Brands that grow—and stay relevant—are the ones that build a following through memorable, customizable customer experiences. At the center of this movement is FiiZ Drinks, a soda-centric franchise that's making waves by bringing back nostalgia and wrapping it in a modern, crave-worthy experience. With more than 25 years in franchising and hospitality, Scott Ball brings deep industry insight to his role as President of FiiZ Drinks. His background includes leadership positions with Dunkin', Arby's, and TJ Cinnamons, giving him a seasoned perspective on what it takes to scale a brand and support franchisees effectively. But his work with FiiZ isn't about following an old playbook—it's about writing a new one centered around customer experience franchise growth. FiiZ Drinks is not just another beverage brand. The experience is what makes it different. From fully customizable soda combinations to nostalgic aesthetics and a fast-casual service model that caters to drive-thru convenience, the brand has tapped into a unique emotional space. The concept blends the energy of a retro soda shop with the variety and speed demanded by modern consumers. It's not just about buying a drink—it's about owning the experience. That experience starts with personalization. With thousands of drink combinations available—including soda, frozen beverages, flavored waters, and sugar-free options—customers create something that feels uniquely theirs. This level of customization fuels engagement, drives frequency, and creates endless shareable moments on social media. For younger demographics in particular, FiiZ has become a place to connect, express, and indulge. And with vibrant store designs and upbeat service, it's no surprise the brand is building community hubs, not just retail locations. At the business level, customer experience franchise growth is what's powering FiiZ's national expansion. Since early 2024, the brand has signed over 130 new franchise units, extending its footprint from Utah and the Mountain West into the Midwest, Southeast, and even Canada. But FiiZ isn't just handing out franchise agreements—they're selecting partners with passion, operational experience, and the resources to scale in new markets. Each franchisee is trained not just on operations, but on the culture and community-building that drive customer loyalty. Scott Ball is clear: growth without operational support doesn't last. That's why FiiZ invests in product innovation, LTOs (limited-time offers), regional marketing support, and national brand-building partnerships with beverage giants like Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and Dr Pepper. This collaboration enables FiiZ to move fast, stay relevant, and deliver experiences customers can't find anywhere else. And in markets unfamiliar with “dirty soda” culture, they lead with education, sampling, and local connection—fundamentals of franchise growth rooted in experience. A big part of the brand's strategy is flexibility in its real estate model. While 85% of FiiZ sales currently come through drive-thru locations, the company is expanding into malls, campuses, and non-traditional spaces. The goal is to meet customers where they are, not force them into a singular format. That adaptability strengthens the brand's scalability—an essential part of any franchise growth strategy. Customer experience franchise growth isn't just a buzz phrase—it's a measurable, operational commitment. FiiZ Drinks is showing how a tight focus on delighting guests, building local community ties, and supporting franchisees with real systems leads to momentum that sustains. As competition increases and consumer expectations continue to evolve, brands that lead with experience will be the ones that thrive. For franchise leaders, entrepreneurs, or investors looking at the next big opportunity in food and beverage, FiiZ represents a growing category with staying power. It's not just about the drinks. It's about culture, customization, and community—served daily. Watch the full interview on YouTube. In this episode of The Self-Employed Life, I had the great pleasure of speaking with occupational health psychologist Dr. Christina Guthier, author of Joyfully Exhausted, about the often misunderstood concept of burnout. We discuss the idea that not all exhaustion is bad, explore the difference between joyful and harmful exhaustion, and examine the effort-reward imbalance that many self-employed people face. Christina emphasizes the importance of managing our energy and recovering from hidden efforts we may not even realize are draining us. Our conversation is a refreshing reminder that it's okay — and even healthy — to love your work, as long as you prioritize recovery and recognize your limits. Since childhood, Christina was fascinated to observe different states of exhaustion in adults after work (including unpaid care work). At Ruhr-University Bochum, she majored in organizational psychology, conducted corporate social responsibility (CSR) field-research as student assistant at the marketing department, and worked at eligo GmbH where she helped develop recruiting software. During her M.Sc. Psychology at Heidelberg University, she majored in Organizational Behaviour and Adaptive Cognition learning a lot about the complexity of performance ratings and leadership behavior as well as cognitive biases and decision heuristics. At the same time, Christina also completed her train-the-trainer certificate during her internship at the career services and development department at Mannheim Business School. Then she focused on occupational health psychology (particularly on burnout research) during her PhD at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. Christina's PhD thesis on "How to create healthier study and work environments" got awarded with the Alfred Teves dissertation award 2020. Additionally, her meta-analysis on the reciprocal relationship between job stressors and burnout (published in Psychological Bulletin) got awarded with the Schmidt-Hunter Meta-Analysis Award 2022 by the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology (division of the American Psychological Association). Finally, as a self-employed scientist, she has started to translate (her) research insights into actionable advice by giving a TEDx talk, getting interviewed for German media outlets (e.g., Der Spiegel, deutschlandfunk nova), and writing articles for different journals and magazines (e.g., Leader to Leader, change magazine). Additionally, she has supported organizations as a speaker, trainer, and coach with shifting their mindsets regarding exhaustion and recovery. https://youtu.be/w1ZbzfSrdFk Michael Viane, Executive Coach, Strategic Advisor, and Keynote Speaker, is driven by a mission to help people overcome challenges and find the clarity to act. His Marathon Mindset Framework includes Purpose, Preparation, Pace, and Perseverance—four guiding principles that help individuals and teams sustain momentum and avoid burnout in pursuit of long-term goals. We dive into Michael's journey from a 30-year corporate career to coaching, inspired by a desire to live with purpose and help others do the same. He explains how leaders can use the Marathon Mindset to navigate overwhelm, maintain strategic focus, and build resilience. Michael also shares the concept of DMAs (Difference-Making Actions)—intentional, goal-aligned tasks that counter reactive busyness and drive daily progress. --- Make a Difference Each Day with Mike Viane Good day, dear listeners, Steve Preda here with the Management Blueprint Podcast. And my guest today is Michael Viane, Executive Coach, Strategic Advisor, and Keynote Speaker, empowering individuals, teams, and organizations to overcome challenges and find the clarity to take action. Michael, welcome to the show. Thank you, Steve. Thank you for that nice introduction. I copied it from your LinkedIn page, so it wasn't my creation, but I think it's a good one. So as an introduction, by way of introduction, Michael, why don't you share what is your personal “Why” with our audience? I will give you a rather lengthy answer on it. My “Why” started after 30 years in corporate America of having the recognition that I was waking up each day without any passion for what I was doing, without any sense of fulfillment at the end of my day. And the recognition that I needed to find the courage to move forward and do something that I deserved. And that was to have passion and fulfillment in my everyday life, to want to wake up in the morning and do things. And I had the very obvious and rewarding recognition that my greatest accomplishments in my career were always in coaching and mentoring people on my team to be greater organizational contributors, to be future leaders. And when I said this to people, they said, let me introduce you to somebody. And I met a coach. I met a business coach who explained to me what he does. And then I was introduced to Focal Point Business Coaching. And at Focal Point, we have the idea that we are a pebble in the pond, and that when we help one person and we drop that pebble into the pond, we see the ripple effect go out. My “Why” is literally to help others, to teach others, and make even the smallest of difference in their lives and in their business worldShare on X so that it creates that pebble in the pond ripple effect and it affects and makes people who work for this business owner, their lives better, their family lives better, the community stronger. This is my goal, this is my “Why,” this is my passion. Okay, love it. To be the pebble in the pond and create the ripple effect, that is awesome. And definitely coaching can create that, especially when you coach executives who then coach their direct reports and their family life gets better. Let's talk about how you do that and one of the things that you talked about earlier when we chatted really struck a chord with me when you talked about the marathon mindset. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. And how do marathonists think about the race and how they pace themselves? So, what is the Marathon Mindset and what are the four Ps of the Marathon Mindset? Yeah, and this was actually the topic of our Focal Point conference this year. The Marathon Mindset and the four Ps. The four Ps are Purpose to begin with. And we just talked about this and “Why.” Our “Why.” So we talk about our purpose. then we talk about Preparation. Preparation is our process, our ability to plan, our ability to practice, to set goals, to have a mental readiness,

People are typically very uncomfortable exisitning in what appears to be a paradox. I think where we often get tripped up is when we believe we have to resolve these tensions—pick one truth and discard the other. But what if wisdom and life comes from learning to stand in the paradox? To hold both truths at once.
