Sugar is one of the most misunderstood topics in nutrition. You've heard that it's toxic, addictive, and the root of metabolic disease. You've also heard that natural options like agave or honey are better choices. But most of these claims are based on incomplete science and oversimplified thinking.   In this episode, we break down what actually happens in your body when you consume sugar. We walk through how glucose and fructose are processed, why the liver is involved, and what role dose, context, and total intake play in determining whether sugar becomes a problem. You'll also learn why focusing only on blood sugar misses a large part of the metabolic picture, and how to evaluate sweeteners using a more complete framework.   Hosted by Leanne Vogel.   Coaching with Leanne: https://www.healthfulpursuit.com/coaching    Breakthrough Program: https://breakthrough.makewellness.com/leanne     Change your metabolism with peptides: https://www.healthfulpursuit.com/make     Enjoy today's show. Because the truth is, nothing shifts until you do. Most people were raised to play it safe. To wait. To calculate. To make sure everything lines up before they move. But that way of thinking keeps you locked into the same results, over and over again. It's not about what you know—it's about who you are being when it's time to act. Becoming the person requires action, not thoughtYou can read the books. You can listen to the podcast. You can visualize what you want. But if you don't become the person who executes when it matters, nothing changes. The real shift happens at the point of decision—when fear shows up and you move anyway. That's where most people back off. They hesitate, justify, and retreat to what feels safe. And in that moment, they undo all the work they've been doing internally. Become the person who follows through no matter whatThere's a standard you have to set for yourself. A line you refuse to cross backwards. When you become the person who follows through—who makes the call, closes the gap, and does what's required—you start to see a different reality show up. Not because it's random. But because you're no longer waiting for life to change—you're causing it. HERE’S THE TRUTH:YOUR BUSINESS ISN’T BROKEN. YOUR MINDSET IS.You’ve built something real. You’ve got clients, revenue, maybe even a team. But every morning, you wake up feeling like you’re pushing a boulder uphill — working harder for smaller wins, watching others leap ahead while you grind in place. In just a few short weeks, I’m opening the doors to The Elite Mind — a proven daily practice that rewires the mental patterns keeping you stuck in the feast-or-famine cycle, and transforms your relationship with success from the inside out. We’ll strip away the self-sabotage, the fear of your own potential, and the unconscious limits you’ve accepted as “just how business is.” You’ll discover why strategy alone never works (and what actually does), and walk away with the mental framework that separates those who sustain success from those who chase it forever. Ready to stop working harder and start thinking differently? CLICK HERE to find out more! This episode of begins with the idea that the world we used to know is gone and we have not found a footing in the world that is trying to emerge. That leaves us in a state of uncertainty and in the midst of multiple levels of tragedy. In that sense, we are in a collective rite of passage that seeks to awaken the spirit of humanity and stir the creative depths of our souls. However, if we cannot sustain the vitality of our own being we become unable to change the conditions of community and culture.     The heart of the human drama concerns whether we are becoming a greater vessel for the flow of life. Spirit calls us to a higher sense of self, while soul would connect us more deeply to the heart of nature and the soul of the world. Either we are following spirit and growing more soul or we can find ourselves shrinking from life.     We are each here to live out an inner story and living plot line that brought us to life. When we live our lives more fully it is beneficial, not just for us personally, but also for the transformation of the world. When in touch with the soul's mythic thread we can find the aims and meanings that allow our souls to grow deeper, our imagination to expand and our spirits to awaken.       Thank you for listening to and supporting Living Myth. This episode is a little different. Michael Bungay Stanier, author of The Coaching Habit, with over a million copies sold, reached out and offered to do something I didn't expect: a live coaching session, recorded, here on the podcast. The topic: my delegation issue. Not the tactics (I know the tactics). Something deeper has its foot on the brake. What unfolded was one of the most honest, vulnerable conversations I've had on this show. Michael walked me through the Immunity to Change framework, where we uncovered that I'm getting more out of the status quo than I realize. There are commitments I have to the way things are right now that I haven't even named. We named them. And then we ran small experiments to test whether the things I'm most afraid of would actually come true. We're starting a series today on miracles. They're one of the most popular subjects in culture. We're fascinated by them. We want them to happen, and we love it when they happen to us. But what is a miracle? Do they happen in our world today? Lots of questions. Skeptics claim that miracles are impossible.Chad and Mandy Stacy saw one of them when their son, Ethan, was born with leukemia, and over a period of three weeks, he developed tumors all over his body. He couldn't eat. His heartbroken parents began to make his funeral arrangements and took him home. But one night at his lowest, he began taking nourishment, and over the next week, he improved so much that his doctors were not able to find evidence of the killer disease in his body. One doctor said it was just remarkable to witness it.One scholar has a thought that skeptics might consider: “To say that miracles are scientifically impossible is one thing, but to say that they can't happen is another thing. We might even define a miracle as an event which is scientifically impossible, but which happens anyway.” Well, there you have it. The Bible, in fact, has much to say about miracles, and because Scripture also tells us that our God does not change, we can reasonably believe He gives us miracles. We might say that the very first miracle was the creation of everything out of nothing. A marvelous world that still retains great beauty. The moon is just the right distance from Earth to allow perfect tides that clean our oceans. The sun is just the right distance so that we have heat, but not too much. Genesis 1:1 says, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”One of the first of what we might call personal miracles is recorded in Exodus 3, the burning bush. Moses is allowed to talk with God up close as the Lord's presence was in a bush nearby that wouldn't burn up. Another use of fire we see in 1 Kings 18, when Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal to sort of a dual, each is to call on his God to answer. And Elijah says, “The true God will answer by fire.” And He does, as fire comes down from heaven and consumes the altar they've built. An especially heartfelt miracle occurs in the New Testament in John 4, when Jesus heals a nobleman's son. Jesus doesn't force Himself on anybody. But as we will see, He's in the miracle business. If you need one, tell Him that. Tell Him your friend or relative or a stranger needs a miracle. He's the God who answers by fire.Let's pray. Father God, you have proven yourself to us so many times that we don't need to doubt anything in Your Word. We believe that You grant miracles in different times and places, and no one is beyond Your miracle-giving gifts. Thank you for that. And help us to carry them in our hearts and our minds so that we can be witnesses for you. In Jesus' name, amen. Change your shirt, and you can change the world! What if your biggest growth season is the one that feels the least exciting? In today's episode, Kevin and Alan explain why real progress gets harder to notice as you improve. Early wins are obvious. Later wins are smaller, sharper, and far more earned. Drawing from years of fitness, habit-building, coaching, and pattern recognition, they unpack why mastery is not about constant breakthroughs. It is about better standards, deeper awareness, and the discipline to keep refining what already works. If your progress feels slower than it used to, this episode will help you see why that may be a sign you are actually getting better. Don't skip this one just because it sounds subtle. Robin Ritch has spent her career building things that matter. She has led teams at Microsoft, Intel, and Cisco, and most recently served as President and Publisher of Deseret News Publishing Company, where she helped transform a 172-year-old institution into a nationally recognized digital voice. Throughout her career, Robin has had a knack for seeing around corners. She has launched new products, modernized organizations, and brought together unlikely communities around conversations that matter. She gives back through board service at The Policy Project, WikiCharities, Social Venture Partners, and Mission Edge, organizations working to make communities stronger. For as long as she can remember, Robin has been fascinated by women and their relationship with God. That lifelong curiosity is what led her to write “Using Friction to Grow”, her first book. Robin examines case studies of Latter-day Saint women who navigated significant social and ecclesiastical changes during the 1970s. She discusses how these women managed friction from society, family, and the Church to develop deeper discipleship and personal sanctification. Links Using Friction to Grow: Stories of Strength and Resilience, LDS Women 1968-1976 Watch the video and share your thoughts in the Zion Lab community Transcript available with the video in the Zion Lab community Highlights Key Insights The Purpose of Friction: Friction is a divine design intended to slow individuals down, allowing them to refine their relationship with God and smooth away “rough edges” of character. Personal vs. Organizational Revelation: Individuals may receive personal revelation for their own lives that precedes broader organizational shifts within the Church. Historical Resilience: Women in the 1970s drew strength from the stories of their suffragette grandmothers, recognizing that navigating tension within a faith community is not a new phenomenon. Individual Agency and Revelation: The women Robin interviewed did not view Church counsel as a reason to stop their personal progression; instead, they used it as a prompt to seek their own confirmed answers through prayer and fasting. Grace for Diverse Paths: These women practiced deep empathy, recognizing that God provides unique answers for different individuals and that one person’s path does not dictate the “correct” path for everyone else. Leadership Applications Validating the Struggle: Leaders can help members understand that feeling “friction” with a policy or teaching is not a sign of unworthiness but an opportunity for a sanctifying “wrestle” with God. Managing Implementation: Recognizing the gap between revelation and organizational implementation helps leaders be more patient with institutional changes and more supportive of members who see needs before the organization adapts. 00:02:00 – Robin’s Book: Using Friction to Grow 00:03:00 – The Importance of Women’s Stories 00:04:00 – The 1970s: A Time of Friction for Women 00:06:00 – The Equal Rights Amendment and Church Response 00:07:00 – Personal Stories of Friction and Faith 00:09:00 – Navigating Friction in Faith Communities 00:10:00 – The Role of Personal Revelation 00:12:00 – The Nature of Friction in Growth 00:13:00 – Engaging with Friction for Personal Growth 00:15:00 – The Evolution of Church Practices 00:17:00 – The Importance of Change and Growth 00:18:00 – Balancing Hope and Disappointment in Faith 00:20:00 – The Role of Friction in Personal Development 00:21:00 – Story of a Woman’s Experience with Church Leadership 00:24:00 – Finding Strength in Christ Amidst Friction 00:25:00 – The Impact of Personal Stories 00:27:00 – The Need for Women’s Voices in the Church 00:29:00 – Encouragement for Women in Parenting 00:30:00 – Broadening Engagement Beyond Parenting 00:32:00 – The Importance of Sharing Light 00:33:00 – The Role of Leaders in Navigating Friction 00:37:00 – Understanding Different Perspectives 00:40:00 – The Influence of Social Media on Women’s Stories 00:41:00 – The Responsibility of the Hearer in Storytelling The award-winning Leading Saints Podcast is one of the top independent Latter-day Saints podcasts as part of nonprofit Leading Saints’ mission to help Latter-day Saints be better prepared to lead. Rob Has a Podcast | Survivor / Big Brother / Amazing Race - RHAP

Andy Rueda Talks Survivor 50 Survivor 50 brings explosive gameplay and unpredictable twists as Rob Cesternino is joined by returning player Andy Rueda for a deep-dive Survivor Recap. Right from the start, Rob and Andy unpack a game-changing twist that rocked the latest episode, comparing it to iconic moments from both “Squid Game” and the Survivor canon. With shifting alliances and one of the wildest Tribal Councils in years, this episode puts the strategic and social skills of the cast to the ultimate test. Rob and Andy dig into the immediate fallout of a twist where pairs are forced together under mysterious circumstances—calling back to “festy besties” but with a Survivor flavor. They debate why fans overwhelmingly loved the twist and measure how much the drama stemmed from both strong design and the “satisfying” outcome of a major player's exit. Survivor: 46 - Recaps from Rob has a Podcast | RHAP

The conversation also highlights how the misdirection around idols and the Shot in the Dark adds to the round's suspense. This week, Jake and Bob conclude their series and welcome Paul George, founder of The Art of Living Ministry. They explore the interior journey of a man learning to face his wounds, surrender control, and become who God created him to be. Paul shares his personal story— from childhood wounds and self-sufficiency to finding healing through marriage, prayer, and mentorship. They also discuss how unresolved pain can shape a man's identity, how it affects his relationships, and why vulnerability is the doorway to intimacy and freedom. Key Points: Paul's childhood experiences, especially his parents' divorce, deeply influenced his identity and relational patterns. He developed a strong sense of independence that later became a barrier to intimacy. Marriage exposes unresolved wounds and emotional barriers. Self-sufficiency often times is a mask that covers the inability to receive someone else's love. Growth begins with recognizing patterns in your life and asking God why they exist. Many men believe they will never change which leads to resignation and feeling stuck. It is important not to dwell on "what if's" or regrets about the past. Being vulnerable with your spouse and opening up about your wounds is an important step to deepening intimacy.  Both spouses must learn to love each other's brokenness. A man must take responsibility for his growth rather than blaming others. Change doesn't erase the impact of past behavior on loved ones.  A man's (and woman's) ultimate call is to love sacrificially, especially when it's difficult or unseen.   Resources: Paul's Website Paul's Ministry: The Art of Living The Paul George Show Paul's Books Feast Fierce Rethink Happiness Holy Grit Redeemed Men's Conference with the JPII Healing Center   Chapters: 00:00 Introduction 03:03 Paul's Story & Early Wounds 10:55 Spiritual Fatherhood & Mentorship 12:30 Ministry Through Sports 14:00 Trapped in Regret & "What Ifs" 18:24 Learning to Trust God's Provision 27:54 The Power of Self-Awareness 40:43 Inviting Your Spouse into Wounds 53:02 Why Growth Requires Struggle 56:06 Paul's Ministry & Resources   Connect with Restore the Glory:  Instagram: @restoretheglorypodcast  Twitter: @RestoreGloryPod Facebook: Restore the Glory Podcast   Never miss out on an episode by hitting the subscribe button right now! It's Tuesday which means there's a new Hallmark movie to review! ABOUT A LITTLE PARK MUSIC When a piano appears in the park gazebo, interfering with important work, city manager Allie joins forces with rookie cop Ryan to remove it, only to find both music and love are hard to resist. AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR A LITTLE PARK MUSIC April 11, 2026 | Hallmark CAST & CREW OF A LITTLE PARK MUSIC Director: Peter Benson Cast: Laci J Mailey as Allie Beau Mirchoff as Ryan Everett Andres BRAN'S MOVIE SYNOPSIS Allie is a city manager who talks to people constantly while she walks. The park is about to be demolished. We then meet Officer Ryan Pruett. He's new in town and is insanely detailed. So detailed that he was transferred from traffic because he took too long with the details of the tickets. He gives Allie a jaywalking ticket because rules are rules. She can't believe it. While walking to the office, she sees a piano in the gazebo. It's literally never been there before. So she goes to the police but unfortunately for her, Ryan is on the case. He insists on doing an investigation which gives no answers but that's enough for him to approve having the piano moved. Much to her surprise, the piano is back the next day. But since it's a different one, they gotta reopen the case. They investigate some other people that may be interested but no hits. Let's move that piano! To make sure another piano doesn't show up, they decide to spend the night together in his truck doing a little stake out! They have a great night together, getting to know each other more, and ultimately falling asleep. When they wake up, there's a piano. Wtf! She notices how much people love the piano so she talks to the mayor but hands are tied. There's grant money attached to demolishing the gazebo and putting in a fountain. He is up for a job in Seattle and does an interview and is now able to talk about how much he loves community because of Allie. They figure out who put the pianos there - a woman who got married at the gazebo and didn't wanna see it torn down. But this is life sometimes. It's almost demolition time but another piano shows up. Who is this! The town is pumped! The mayor finally realizes maybe the piano is good for the town. Allie tries to figure out a way to make this work. And she does. Change what the town square is. The gazebo and piano are now just a park. A little park music. He shows up and implies he put the piano there and also he's staying. They kiss. Fast forward 3 months and the gazebo is still crushing it. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show?
