We are back! After a bit of a break, your favorite college football podcast has returned! Some new voices have joined the show with the departures of Dan Wetzel and Pat Forde. Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey join Ross Dellenger for College Football Enquirer's newest version! There was quite a bit of news that happened while we were away, so it's time to catch up. Schools can pay athletes directly now. Revenue sharing has arrived! This has already caused an immediate shift in the college football landscape and schools are taking full advantage. One team who is capitalizing on that is Vanderbilt. Huge hype and ticket prices have followed. How has this change affected the college landscape? Has it changed for the better? These questions and more are what Andy, Ross and Steven answer. As athletes continue to get paid, guardrails around how they can be paid continue to be developed. Enter the College Sports Commission. This commission is supposed to make sure there is fairness across the board in how athletes are being paid. How exactly they are doing that is a bit more complicated. Luckily, Ross can break it all down.Another huge change on the horizon has to do with the transfer portal. This topic has been discussed at length. Should there only be one portal window rather than two? When should that be? Change is coming and while there is some disagreement among conferences for when the portal window should open, a shift appears imminent. The guys explain what the change may look like, and they give their takes on when the portal should open.We are just a few weeks away from the start of the season, so naturally we have to talk about what coaches are hoping to still have a job by the end of the season. While some coaches' buyouts are too big for them to have any concern this year, others do not have that luxury. Texas Tech's Joey McGuire and Oklahoma's Brent Venables are two coaches that look to be in win now situations. The guys discuss the coaches' futures with their respective programs. They also dive into how the new college landscape of paying players may have led to some coaches' jobs being saved. Finally, Andy, Ross and Steven take a look at some upset ready matchups in the Week 1 slate. Are Boise St., Mississippi St. and Kentucky on upset watch? The guys chat about what they are looking at in those Week 1 games.A jam-packed episode of College Football Enquirer begins now. In this episode of the Sunlight Tax podcast, I talk with Reggie Tidwell and Tim Scroggs, the founders of the design agency 40 Hearts. We dive into their journey as designers, explore the impact of AI on the creative industry, and discuss why community and branding matter so much during times of economic uncertainty. Our conversation highlights the need for genuine human connection and the enduring value of creativity in navigating challenges.   Also mentioned in today's episode:   02:52 Meet the Designers: Reggie Tidwell and Tim Scroggs 08:38 Creating Enduring Value in Design 11:58 Navigating Client Relationships and Brand Strategy 14:49 Building Confidence as a Designer 17:35 Embracing the Unknown in Creativity 23:55 AI and the Future of Design 29:56 Community and Connection in the Design World 32:36 The Impact of AI on Creativity and Humanity 41:19 The Importance of Intuition and Human Connection   Takeaways The design industry is evolving with the introduction of AI, but human creativity remains irreplaceable. Branding is essential for businesses, especially during economic uncertainty. Transitioning from a beginner to an expert designer involves gaining confidence and experience. AI should be viewed as a tool to enhance creativity, not a replacement for it. Isolation is a significant challenge for creatives, and community support is vital. Understanding client needs is crucial for effective branding and marketing strategies. Creativity thrives in environments that value human connection and collaboration. The future of design will require a blend of technology and human intuition.   If you enjoyed this episode, please rate, review and share it! God Keeps His Promises

Part of God's unchanging nature is that He is sovereign and does things His way. In Isaiah 55, we read that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. In other words, He's infinitely more powerful than we are, especially when it comes to perspective.  We read in the Old Testament that sometimes other nations mocked the Israelites when they were exiled from their homeland. Really, they were mocking God because it was said that maybe He couldn't keep His promises. After all this, after the Assyrians and Babylonians conquered Israel, neighboring pagan nations remembered that God had promised to give the land to the Israelites. But did that mean God had lied, and was in reality no more powerful than man? No, not at all.                                                 Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” In fact, God tells us clearly that He does exactly what He wants, when He wants. We see this in Isaiah 46. When God led the Israelites out of Egypt, but they were then confronted at the Red Sea by Pharaoh's army—did that mean God had lied when He promised to lead them out of slavery? Of course not. In fact, it was then He performed one of history's greatest miracles. In Psalm 16:10, we read that God would not allow your holy one to rot in the grave, and this is a reference to Jesus. Yet, when Jesus died on the cross, many assumed that God had either lied or was powerless to stop Jesus from being entombed. We know how that story ended, and the triumph of life over death. God did raise Jesus from the dead. His body did not decay in the grave. So, it's a matter of perspective, then. Humans, with their limited understanding, think from time to time that God cannot keep His promises, but He keeps them all the time. All promises fulfilled—100% of the time. He cannot lie. Let's pray. Father God, you alone are powerful and you are our strength. You are perfect in all of your ways and have demonstrated that time after time. Help us let others see that—those who might doubt you. In Jesus' name, amen.  Change your shirt, and you can change the world! Save 15% Off your entire purchase of faith-based apparel + gifts at Kerusso.com with code KDD15.

The conversation weaves through history, current events, and everyday life, showing how sovereignty is challenged by centralized power, global agendas, and cultural shifts. Ashe and Abbey share thought-provoking insights on reclaiming autonomy, from taking ownership of personal choices to strengthening local communities against outside influence. With their trademark blend of sharp analysis, relatable examples, and lively banter, they offer listeners both a wake-up call and a roadmap for living more sovereign lives in a world that often pushes conformity over independence.

He also made us to enjoy it all, and to keep it for Him. But just like the entrance of sin into our world which marred the original beauty, we sometimes get weighed down with worry and cares of life. We look up one day and the drudgery of our days overwhelms us. The supernatural seems far away, and that's the very moment God will act. He has always been with us, and one of His greatest promises is that He will be with us to the end, to the moment He ushers in an eternity too wonderful to fully know now.Revelation 22:1–3 says, “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse.” In the meantime, maybe you're really going through a challenge in your life. You need a miracle. Do you know that you can simply ask Jesus for this? He's answered too many people, too many times not to be real. And if we're honest, the presence and regularity of miracles today are staggering. They're everywhere. So, why not you?1 Corinthians 1:1–2 says, “To those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours, grace and peace to you from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.” There's such peace in this. Put aside your doubts and your fears. Just ask Him to help you, and He can. He will. In fact, He will bless you so much, you won't be able to stay quiet about it. You will have to tell people. You are a miracle.Let's pray. Father God, you rescue us all the time in ways big and small. Your faithfulness in helping us is worthy of our worship. Thank you for making miracles part of everyday life. In Jesus' name, amen. Change your shirt, and you can change the world! We learn from Paul and Silas in Acts 16:20-25, worship should have nothing to do with our circumstances. Lion chasers don't complain about the lion in their life, they worship, and chase down the god ordained task that is laid in front of them. The more we face fears, climb mountains, and chase lions, the easier it gets. What was once the highlight of your life, becomes a habit in your life... when you live by faith. Change your perspective, change your prayers, and it will change your chase!

Hey yall! In this episode, I'm getting real about the pressures we face as women to hit certain milestones by a certain age, getting married, having kids, “settling down”, and how exhausting it is to feel like you're running against a clock. I talk about why life doesn't magically end at 25, why being single can actually be the most empowering time of your life, and why rushing into relationships or marriage just to “keep up” will never make you happy.I also get into the way social media fuels comparison, how people project their own insecurities onto you, and why it's so important to block out the noise so you can actually enjoy where you're at right now. We touch on the realities of parenthood (and why it's not something to take lightly), breaking free from outdated timelines, and fully embracing your individuality.Bottom line: stop letting society convince you you're behind, you're not!! In this episode of The First Day from The Fundraising School, host Bill Stanczykiewicz, Ed.D., sits down with Muhsin Hassan, Managing Director at Lever for Change, to unpack the power, and practicality, of nonprofit collaboration. Drawing from his role advising the Community Collaboration Initiative led by the Muslim Philanthropy Initiative at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Hassan explains why partnerships aren't just nice-to-have, they're mission multipliers. From maximizing impact during economic downturns to sparking innovation across issue areas, collaboration can create better ideas, stronger fundraising, and more efficient service delivery. Hassan shares how the initiative brought together 21 Muslim-led nonprofits from across the U.S., ranging from local to national reach, to explore shared solutions. The three-year effort wasn't donor-driven from the top down, but intentionally designed to listen to community needs and prioritize equity among partners. Common threads emerged between seemingly different missions: healthcare access, education, civic engagement, and refugee support leading to big-picture strategies like “one-stop shop” service models for new Americans. And yes, there was a built-in incentive: each participating organization received a $250,000 grant to implement their collaborative plans. The conversation digs into what makes collaborations work: intentional design, time to build trust, and intermediaries who handle logistics so nonprofits can focus on the work. The CCI team acted as that connective tissue, setting agendas, facilitating conversations, and ensuring equity between grantees and donors. This created space for candid dialogue, something that doesn't always happen in traditional philanthropy, and fostered genuine partnerships rather than compliance-driven alliances. Challenges? Of course. Some organizations realized the timing wasn't right and bowed out gracefully, underscoring the need for flexibility and openness to think beyond one's own program lane. Hassan closes with advice for any nonprofit, regardless of cause area or cultural context; there are always lessons to learn from others. Whether you share a target population or simply share the nonprofit experience, collaboration offers unexpected insights and fresh approaches. Skeptics often leave such partnerships with new allies, new knowledge, and stronger strategies. The key is creating opportunities for cross-sector dialogue, maintaining equity among all players, and giving collaborations the time, and resources, to thrive. The full white paper, Collaboration in the U.S. Muslim Nonprofit Sector: Lessons from the Community Collaboration Initiative, is available at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy's Muslim Philanthropy Initiative page.

God does His best work in what we think is ________________.[2 Chronicles 33:7-9] Manasseh even took a carved idol he had made and set it up in God's Temple, the very place where God had told David and his son Solomon: "My name will be honored forever in this Temple and in Jerusalem--the city I have chosen from among all the tribes of Israel. [8] If the Israelites will be careful to obey my commands--all the laws, decrees, and regulations given through Moses--I will not send them into exile from this land that I set aside for your ancestors." [9] But Manasseh led the people of Judah and Jerusalem to do even more evil than the pagan nations that the LORD had destroyed when the people of Israel entered the land.Sometimes transformation begins when everything else ________________ ________________.[2 Chronicles 33:11-13] So the LORD sent the commanders of the Assyrian armies, and they took Manasseh prisoner. They put a ring through his nose, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon. [12] But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the LORD his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors. [13] And when he prayed, the LORD listened to him and was moved by his request. So the LORD brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the LORD alone is God!Rock bottom is often where _____________________ begins.[2 Corinthians 5:17] This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. My weekly german newsletter can be subscribed here steady. My english blog is hosted at Medium. I work as a keynote speaker, panelist and author. Feel free to contact me! **Tesla: progress that isn't progress at all** Ed impressively explained to me how Tesla has managed to squeeze new technologies such as the electric drive into an old, familiar product - the American car - in such a way that hardly anything changes. Long range, big battery, big car. The illusion of the future without people having to question their behavior. And that is precisely the problem. “Tesla sells us the old as something new - and people love it because they don't have to change anything.” I also often see that we in Germany - especially in the automotive industry - still think too much in traditional patterns. Instead of seizing the opportunities for real transformation, we cling to what has gone before. And still praise Elon Musk as a visionary, even though he is blocking precisely this change. **Electric cars are not automatically climate-friendly** Ed has raised an important point: The way we talk about e-mobility is preventing the transportation transition. If range is everything, we need huge batteries. And then e-cars are only for the rich. The real potential of electromobility lies in small, lightweight vehicles for short distances. And yes - maybe even an e-bike or a scooter. “The average trip in the USA is six miles long - why do we need 300 miles of range?” I also often ask myself why we don't manage to align mobility with real needs. Why do we still define freedom in terms of ownership - instead of shared, accessible and needs-based offers? **Autonomous driving: Wishful thinking with side effects** Another topic was Tesla's promise of “Full Self Driving”. For years, customers have been led to believe that their cars would soon drive themselves. But the technology still doesn't deliver. On the contrary: it brings with it new risks because drivers rely too much on the system - and react too slowly in an emergency. “Autopilot sounds like control, but in reality it makes us worse drivers.” I am convinced that autonomous driving can make sense - but not in a private car in the middle of the city center. I see much more potential in rural areas, for on-demand services or shared fleets. But this presupposes that we finally stop seeing the car as the universal solution to all mobility issues. **How technology is changing our view of mobility** What I appreciate about Ed's work: He doesn't oppose technology - but he demands that we finally see it for what it is: a tool. And not a promise of salvation. We have to ask ourselves: does this technology serve people - or do we serve it? “We have to learn again that technology should support us - not the other way around.” I too would like to see more urban spaces for people - not for parked cars. I dream of cities where we don't have to take a “vacation from the car”, but where car-free living is part of everyday life. And I know that there are no easy solutions. But it starts with the question: How do we really want to live? **My conclusion: we are not too small to make a difference** I know how often people say to me: “What am I supposed to change?” Or how often people who have visions are ridiculed. But that's exactly what drives me at *she drives mobility*: To show people that they are not alone - and that change is possible if we have the courage to think differently. “Change begins in the mind - and with the willingness to ask questions.” Thank you, Ed, for this honest, intelligent and inspiring conversation. And thank you to everyone who listened, thought and joined in the discussion. We need these voices more than ever.

Triple J, the kings of alternative and underground radio since 1975 just held their public vote for Australia's greatest 100 songs of all time with some 2.65 million people voting. That's nearly 10% of the entire Australian population!!! It's with pride, joy, exultation and somewhat genuine surprise, that INXS' 1987 classic “Never Tear Us Apart” came in at number one despite stiff opposition from iconic acts such as AC/DC, Midnight Oil, Crowded House, Nick Cave and Gotye. Originally, darlings of the early Triple J movement back in 1982, INXS were later promoted heavily by more commercial FM radio stations like Triple and Fox FM particularly as their career soared globally in chart, touring and record sales were concerned. As such, INXS were often overlooked in previous polls which particularly in 1992 with their incredible Welcome to Wherever you Are, a sticking point for ardent fans. This poll win soothes the hearts of many. With Need you Tonight and Don't Change featuring as well, INXS' inclusion is a true victory for what Triple J's mission statement espouses, namely “the world's greatest music democracy”!! So we peel back how this awesome result came to fruition, tackle the time honoured debate and battles of Indie music vs the mainstream and most importantly why Never Year Us Apart as a song has grown in stature over the last 37 years!!! During this week's episode, Matthew and Anthony focused on the power of surrender, the dangers of living for status updates, and the call to walk in true legacy and accountability. In a world where every action is documented and broadcasted, we must be mindful of the legacy we're building, not just for ourselves but for those who come after us. When we surrender our will, embrace accountability, and live for legacy, God elevates us and uses us to change the game in our spheres of influence.

Paul Axton preaches: The slaughter in Gaza demonstrates the bankruptcy of premillennialism, dispensationalism, and Christian Zionism, all of which deny the basic teaching that the work of the cross has defeated sin, death and the devil. The genocidal teaching displacing the Gospel, and which Christ identifies with blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, is now the predominant religion of the land. (Sign up for the class Human Language, Signs of God: using Anthony Bartlett's two books, Theology Beyond Metaphysics and Signs of Change, as one continuous argument. Underlying this sequence is the core perception that language is the privileged medium by which the biblical God, the God of nonviolence, is revealed to us. If God is going to invite us into a new sense and meaning of what it is to be human this has to happen through language, that is through "signs of God." Theology Beyond Metaphysics introduces the thought of semiotics and specifically in relation to the anthropology of Rene' Girard. Signs of Change traces a pathway of semiotic change of meaning through the text of the whole Bible. The course will run from 2025/9/16 to 2025/11/4. On Wednesday, prosecutors dropped all charges against the Cobb County man, who had been accused of attempting to kidnap a toddler at a north Cobb Walmart back in March. Patel, who spent 45 days in jail and lost 17 pounds surviving on bread and peanut butter, called the ordeal “a punishment in itself.” His mugshot? Still everywhere. His reputation? Shattered. But now, at least, he can breathe. Surveillance footage, which Patel’s attorney Ashleigh Merchant said was key to clearing his name, showed Patel briefly interacting with the child’s mother, Caroline Miller, while searching for Tylenol. What prosecutors initially called an attempted kidnapping was, in Patel’s words, “a misunderstanding blown out of proportion.” A Change.org petition supporting Patel gathered over 92,000 signatures, and even inmates who once threatened him apologized after reading about his case. STORY 2: Cobb hosts annual night of unity between residents and public safety officials Badges, block parties, and a whole lot of community spirit filled Jim Miller Park for Cobb County’s National Night Out. Since 1984, this nationwide event has been all about building bridges between public safety officers and the people they serve. And on Tuesday night? It was all smiles, dunk tanks, and even axe throwing. Families wandered through booths from the Cobb Sheriff’s Office, Fire Department, 911 dispatchers, and more. Kids laughed, parents asked questions, and stuffed K-9 toys were sold to support the real-life furry officers. For Zanetia Henry, the night was personal. After losing her son Dre to gun violence in 2019, she’s dedicated herself to uniting communities through her nonprofit, Operation Recovery. “Unity takes everyone,” she said, presenting awards to officers who’ve gone above and beyond. Cobb Police Capt. Jason Best, reflecting on his 28 years of service, said it best: “We usually see people at their worst. Tonight, we get to just talk—no tickets, no arrests. Just people connecting.” STORY 3: Traffic stop in Austell leads to meth trafficking charges  Jack Randall Roberts, 68, and Justin Daniell Roberts, 30, both from Gay, Georgia, were arrested on July 31 after police allegedly found them with about a kilogram of methamphetamine. It all went down around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Garrett Road and C.H. James Parkway in Austell. Jack, driving a 2008 Ford Focus, reportedly stopped too far past the stop line—an innocent enough mistake, right? Except during the traffic stop, officers discovered the drugs, according to the warrant. Both men were booked into the Cobb County jail that evening. No bond. No release. Just a whole lot of trouble. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info.  We’ll be right back. Break: COBB INT. The plan? Lay down 5.5 miles of new natural gas pipeline. Construction crews will be working near Moon Station Road, Baker Road, Woodstock Road, and Highway 92, Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Heads up: expect lane closures and some traffic headaches through late 2025, with cleanup stretching into spring 2026. The city says the project will boost system reliability during high demand and create jobs. Got questions? Check out atlantagaslight.com or email wadegreen@southernco.com. STORY 5: Community Colleges of Appalachia sign transfer agreement with WGU Leaders from Community Colleges of Appalachia (CCA) and Western Governors University (WGU) just inked a deal that could be a game-changer for Appalachian students. The agreement lets residents earn WGU’s accredited online degrees and certificates without leaving their hometowns—no uprooting, no long commutes. CCA, with 85 member colleges from Mississippi to New York (including five in Georgia), is all about serving local communities. This partnership? It’s about making higher education more accessible. Graduates and employees of CCA schools can transfer credits to WGU, skip redundant coursework, and even apply for $3,000 Learn Where You Live Scholarships. Congregations of faith all around the world use the word amen. Although many people use it in the right context, not everyone knows what this word means.“Amen” is an ancient Hebrew word, and Scripture uses this word in three primary ways:·      At the beginning of a sermon or important statement, the word “amen” often means “verily,” or “truly.”·      The Old Testament uses the word “amen” to describe God's character as true and faithful.·      The most common placement of “amen” is at the end of a prayer, sermon, or statement, and is used to show agreement. It could then be translated as ‘so be it,' ‘so it is,' or ‘may it be fulfilled.'In fact, the very last word in the Bible is amen! That last verse in the New Testament, Revelation 22:20–21 says, “He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.”Consider then, the powerful history of this simple word as an ending to our prayers. We speak directly with our Heavenly Father, praising His name, sharing our gratitude and our concerns, and we often end with amen...so be it. So, it is. May it be fulfilled.1 Thessalonians 5:17 reminds us to “Pray continually.” Can we get an amen for this encouraging reminder to keep the lines of communication with the Lord open on a daily basis? Let's pray.Father God, your Word, the Bible, shares powerful truths for living from beginning to end. How can we learn to trust God when our prayers for healing go unanswered? What does it truly mean for the Church to become a place of belonging and welcome for individuals with disabilities?Dr. Laurie Thompson has deeply engaged with these questions—both personally and academically. At just 14 years old, a devastating car accident left her permanently disabled, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of wrestling with faith, suffering, and inclusion. Now, as a college professor and academic advisor, Dr. Thompson empowers the next generation to understand that people with disabilities represent the largest minority in the United States—and that our Churches must become more inclusive, welcoming spaces for those navigating life with disabilities. In her latest book, **Disability-Inclusivity: Creating Awareness to Change the Current Trajectory**, Dr. Thompson explores how the Church can become a transformative community for those with disabilities—simply by making intentional adjustments that foster inclusion, dignity, and belonging. In this conversation, Davey sits down with Dr. Thompson to discuss the need for a robust theology of suffering, how to confront the lies that often accompany seasons of pain, and how the Church can reach and embrace people with disabilities through meaningful shifts in mindset and practice. If you're passionate about creating spaces of true belonging, this episode offers practical insights to help your community become a place of gospel-centered inclusion for those who are often overlooked.
