Did you know that even if you're still showing up, getting things done, and keeping everything together, you could still be stuck in burnout? Your body knows even if your mind doesn't.Today, I spoke with my therapist + nervous system expert, Ash McDonald, about high-functioning burnout, the one we both see in women who care a lot and do a lot. Unlike traditional burnout, it's when your brain keeps pushing you to go, even when you're exhausted. And no amount of sleep or coffee fixes it.We discussed how burnout often doesn't appear dramatic. It may just look like being busy and successful, while inside, your body is struggling.A few things we talk through together:How Ash went through high-functioning burnout herself and eventually had to step away not only from what looked like her dream life, but also from her successful businessWhy no system, routine, or doing it better can fix a body that doesn't feel settledA simple practice Ash walks women through that helps their nervous system come downThis episode is really about understanding why your energy, and even your hormones, don't get a chance to calm down when your body is always living on high alert.Pay attention to what feels familiar, and if something hits, pass it along to someone who's been carrying too much for too long and acting like they're fine.Download the new 20-min private podcast training - Simply Nourished CyclesBook a FREE Hormone Strategy Call with meCONNECT WITH ASHLEY:Burnout Breakthrough - use code HAPPILYHORMONALPodcastNEED HELP FIXING YOUR HORMONES? Welcome to Day 3 of the Drop Five Pounds While Life Is Life-ing Challenge — the day we stop pretending life is ever going to calm down.Day one was about creating a solid plan. Day two was about anchoring that plan to compelling reasons that actually move you. Today is where it gets real. Because a plan without a plan for when life blows up… isn't a real plan.In this episode, we're talking about what *actually* happens when life is life-ing — when schedules implode, stress spikes, kids melt down, cravings hit, and your brain starts offering “helpful” excuses like, “Screw it, I'll start Monday.” Instead of waiting for a perfect, imaginary window where nothing goes wrong, we build the skill of honoring your plan *inside* the chaos.I walk you through how to identify your personal obstacles — not vague ones, but stupid-specific ones — and how to create strategies ahead of time so you're not relying on willpower in the moment. We talk about how your lower brain works, why it defaults to pleasure and avoidance, and how to pre-program responses that actually support the version of you you're becoming. This is the difference between wishful thinking and real commitment. Not white-knuckling. Not perfection. Devotion. Planning for mistakes. Learning instead of shaming. And building trust with yourself when life doesn't cooperate. In this episode, you'll hear:- Why waiting for a “perfect time” guarantees you stay stuck- What “life is life-ing” actually looks like (and why it's normal)- How your lower brain sabotages plans through pleasure-seeking and avoidance- Why a plan without obstacle strategies isn't a real plan- How to identify your exact personal triggers (stress, PMS, parties, exhaustion, leftovers, etc.)- The two types of strategies you need: thought strategies and do strategies- How to stop shame spirals and “look back with love” after a mistake- Why mistakes only become failures when you don't extract the lessonYour homework for today:On the left side of a page, list 10 very specific situations where life tends to derail your plan. On the right side, write your strategies — what you'll think, say, or do instead when those moments happen. Set a 5–7 minute timer and get it done, even if your brain throws a tantrum. If you want support, feedback, or coaching, email me at laura@lauraconley.com.And if you're ready to stop relying on motivation and start building skills that last, come join me inside the Yummy Mummy Experience — my six-month group coaching program that guarantees you lose weight for the last time or your money back. PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) goes far beyond typical PMS, causing debilitating symptoms including extreme depression, intrusive thoughts, and reality distortion. FLOW's Sarah and Jessica sit down with Christina de la Riva, who shares her journey with diagnosis, shame, and initially thinking she was just "handling PMS poorly." Cristina also introduces the archetype of Lilith* as a framework for understanding PMDD, emphasizing how Lilith* validates the PMDD experience rather than pathologizing it. *Often culturally constructed as a symbol of uncontrollable female rage, Lilith is reframed herein as an icon of wisdom, pleasure, and righteous anger. As always, FLOW includes practical management strategies and a reminder to reach out for community support. This episode continues a conversation we've been building about stress, safety, and why so many women feel like their hormones never quite settle. Today, I'll walk you through three specific signals your body needs to restore progesterone, stabilize your energy, and ease PMS symptoms. They aren't trendy or complicated but simple and foundational, and often missing for women who've been pushing through for a long time.A few key points I'll cover include:How not eating enough and lacking nutrients can stress your bodyWhy blood sugar swings quietly drive cortisol and drain progesteroneWhat mineral deficiencies really look like in daily lifeThe goal of this episode is to help you understand what your body is trying to tell you and learn simple ways to address those signals. Some suggestions are as easy as eating regularly, while others involve recognizing unhealthy patterns you've accepted for years. As you listen, take note of what resonates with you or feels familiar. Write it down and use this opportunity to shift your focus from blaming your hormones to listening and responding to what your body has been asking for all along.NEW Private Podcast - 3 Steps to Making Hormones WellBook a FREE Hormone Strategy Call with meNourish TrackerHormone AuditNEED HELP FIXING YOUR HORMONES? Guest: Dr. Hannah Lawler, Naturopathic Doctor (ND)Core Theme: Moving beyond the "pill for every ill" mentality to embrace nutrition (The Bean Protocol™), individualized hormone support, and the powerful signaling of the female cycle.Key Takeaways & Highlights1. The Luteal Phase "Truth Serum"Uni and Hannah discuss the emotional intensity often dismissed as "just PMS."The Luteal Narrative: The luteal phase (the week before your period) acts as a "BS filter." While it can feel like "lunacy," it often highlights real issues in life or relationships that we suppress during the rest of the month.Actionable Advice: Don't make life-altering decisions (like divorce) during this phase, but document the feelings. Use them as data points to address once your hormones settle.2. Naturopathic vs. Conventional MedicineDr. Lawler clarifies the rigorous path of an ND:Training: Four years of medical school, including biochemistry, anatomy, and pharmaceuticals, plus extensive training in nutrition, homeopathy, and hydrotherapy. The "Village Doctor" Approach: Hannah operates a concierge practice, making house calls. This allows her to see a patient's environment—poking around the pantry to see what they think is healthy versus what actually supports their biology.3. The Foundation of Nutrition: The Bean ProtocolBoth Unique and Hannah emphasize that nutrition is not a "fad" but the literal building blocks of cells.Soluble Fiber (Beans & Psyllium): Essential for clearing recycled estrogen and toxins from the liver. This is the "insurance policy" for anyone on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).Personal Responsibility: You cannot drive a "Ferrari" (your body) and put in the cheapest fuel. High-performance health requires high-quality, consistent inputs.4. Advanced Optimizations: Peptides & GeneticsWhen the foundation of nutrition is set, Dr. Lawler looks at "levers" to move the needle:Peptides: Signaling molecules that tell cells to perform specific tasks (e.g., recovery, skin health, or mood). Hannah highlights GHK-Cu (copper peptide) for anti-aging and Thymosin Beta-4 for recovery.Genetics (3x4 Genetics): Understanding "bottlenecks," such as the COMT gene, which affects how you process caffeine and adrenaline. Knowing your genetics removes the "DIY" guesswork from health.5. Thyroid Health & The "Canary in the Coal Mine"The discussion touches on why Hashimoto's is so prevalent today:Environmental Toxins: Halogens like fluoride, chlorine, and bromine can "plug" iodine receptors in the thyroid, leading to dysfunction.Root Cause: It's never "just" the thyroid; it's a response to stress, viruses, or environmental toxicity (like mold).

They discuss the difference between body awareness and body trust and how historical and cultural medical narratives shape the way women interpret symptoms. The conversation also challenges the idea that health must always be pursued at the level of optimisation, introducing the concept of being “healthy enough”—not as a lowering of standards, but as a way of letting health support life rather than dominate it.This episode will resonate with anyone who has felt exhausted by the constant focus on hormones, symptoms, and self-improvement, and is looking for a more grounded, humane way to think about women's health.Lara Briden is a naturopathic doctor and bestselling author of the books Period Repair Manual and Hormone Repair Manual — practical guides to treating period problems with nutrition, supplements, and bioidentical hormones. Today I'm starting a conversation I've been feeling pulled toward for a while now - stress, safety, and why so many of us feel stuck in hormone patterns even when we're doing the right things. This is the first episode in what I'm calling the Safety vs. Stress Series, where we're going to slow down and look at how our body responds to different types of stress, why it prioritizes survival over hormone balance, and how we can start creating more safety instead of just trying to fix symptoms. If you've been stressed for so long that you think it's normal now, this episode will gently challenge that idea. Here's what you'll learn:The point where stress stops being temporary and starts shaping your cycleHow your body has been compensating long before you realized something was offWhy your hormones aren't failing you; they're simply reacting to everything going onThis episode lays the foundation for the weeks, if not the whole year, ahead. So, invite a friend or two to listen together. I promise this is a conversation we all need. As you listen, jot down what stands out and feels true for you. And if you'd like someone to talk it through with, email me; I'd love to be that support for you.NEW Private Podcast - 3 Steps to Making Hormones WellBook a FREE Hormone Strategy Call with meFree trainingNEED HELP FIXING YOUR HORMONES? Have you ever noticed that your energy is not consistent throughout the month? Some weeks you feel sharp, motivated, and on top of everything, and other weeks you feel exhausted, anxious, foggy, or completely wiped out. That is not random. That is hormones. In this episode, I walk you through how estrogen and progesterone impact your energy across your entire cycle and why understanding this changes everything. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. I break down what a typical 28 day cycle looks like and what your hormones are supposed to be doing at each phase. What we cover in this episode: • Why estrogen and progesterone are at their lowest during your period and why testosterone is actually the dominant hormone at that time • How rising estrogen after your period fuels motivation, focus, productivity, and natural energy • Why ovulation is often your peak energy, creativity, and confidence window when hormones are balanced • What progesterone is supposed to do after ovulation and why it should feel calming, grounding, and supportive • Why needing more rest, calories, and recovery in the second half of your cycle is normal • How basal body temperature changes after ovulation and what that tells us about progesterone • The difference between your ovulation window and your fertile window • Why energy crashes, anxiety, irritability, or feeling wired but exhausted are signs something is off • What estrogen dominance and progesterone deficiency actually look like in real life • Why irregular cycles and unpredictable energy are not something you just have to live with I also explain the high hormone phase after ovulation and why this is the most important time to test hormones. This is when both estrogen and progesterone are present and your body has to process them properly. If you feel great one week and terrible the rest of the month, if PMS is intense, if ovulation feels painful or exhausting, or if your energy never feels predictable, those are all signs your hormones are not being produced or processed the way they should be. This is where hormone testing matters. Why I use DUTCH hormone testing: A DUTCH test allows us to see: • How much estrogen and progesterone you are actually producing • Whether you are ovulating and producing progesterone consistently • How your body is metabolizing and clearing hormones • Cortisol patterns that affect energy and burnout • Androgen levels, nutrient markers, and methylation Blood work can show hormone levels at a single moment, but it does not show functional patterns or how hormones are being used and cleared. DUTCH testing gives us the full picture. I share a real example of a woman who had done everything right. Clean eating, less caffeine, better sleep, no sugar, no alcohol, and still had terrible energy. Her DUTCH test showed exactly why her body could not make energy effectively. Once we saw the data, everything made sense. Numbers do not lie. Testing removes the guessing. Your energy should ebb and flow with your cycle, but it should still be manageable. Your hormones should not hold you back from living your life, working toward your goals, or feeling like yourself. If your hormones are interfering with your quality of life, it's time to test. What if improving your hormone health didn't require supplements, protocols, or “fixing” your body—just fueling it properly? In this episode, I break down how eating enough and fueling intentionally as a runner can inadvertently support hormone health. We're talking improved fertility markers, fewer PMS symptoms, better cycle regularity, increased sex drive, and more support through perimenopause—all without chasing hormone hacks. You'll learn: How underfueling disrupts key reproductive hormones Why carbs are not the enemy of estrogen or progesterone How proper running nutrition supports ovulation, libido, and cycle health Why many hormone symptoms are actually energy availability issues If you run—and have hormones (so… yes)—this one's for you. Steve Martin: Coaching Product Owners to Be the Voice of the Customer In this episode, we refer to Henrik Kniberg's "Product Owner in a Nutshell" video and Product Ownership by Geoff Watts. The Great Product Owner: Rob Gard's Customer Obsession Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes. "The role of the PO really is to help the team empathize with the user, the customer of the product, because that's how they can develop great solutions." - Steve Martin Rob Gard worked at a fintech firm and is now CPO of a major fintech company. Steve describes him as having a brilliant mind and being a real agileist—someone Steve learned a huge amount about Agile from. Rob's defining characteristic was his absolute obsession with the user. Everything focused on customer pain points. Working with engineering teams serving military customers, Rob held regular workshops with those customers to understand their pain firsthand. He was literally the voice of the customer, not theoretically but practically. Rob pushed and challenged teams to be more innovative, always looking for better ways of providing better software. His gift was communication—specifically, briefing the team on the problem rather than just reading out stories in refinement sessions. This is the anti-pattern many Product Owners fall into: going through the motions, reading requirements without context. Real product ownership, as Rob demonstrated, is telling a story that helps the team empathize and understand the pain. When teams can internalize customer problems, they develop better solutions. Rob's ability to communicate the problem into the minds of teams enabled them to serve customers more effectively. This is the essence of great Product Ownership: not being a proxy for management, not juggling multiple teams, but being deeply connected to customer pain and translating that pain into context the team can work with. Self-reflection Question: Do your refinement sessions tell stories that help the team empathize with customer pain, or do you just read out requirements? The Bad Product Owner: Proxies for Management Instead of Customer Advocates Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes. "They weren't a team, they were a group of individuals working on multiple different projects." - Vasco Duarte Steve emphasizes that Product Owners often have great intentions but struggle due to lack of training and coaching. The anti-patterns are systemic: commercial managers "dressed up" as Product Owners without understanding the role. Project managers transitioning to PO roles—though Steve notes PMs can make really good POs with proper support. The most damaging pattern is Product Owners spread across multiple teams, having very little time to focus on any single team or their customers. These POs become proxies—representing the voice of senior management rather than the voice of the customer. They cascade requirements downward instead of bringing customer insights upward. The solution isn't to criticize these struggling Product Owners but to help them understand their role and see what good looks like. Steve recommends Henrik Kniberg's "Product Owner in a Nutshell" video—15 minutes, 15 years old, still profoundly relevant. He also points to Product Ownership by Geoff Watts and formal training like CSPO or IC Agile Product Ownership courses. The fundamental issue is meeting Product Owners where they are, providing coaching and support to transform them from management proxies into customer advocates. When POs understand their role as empathy builders between customers and teams, everything changes. Self-reflection Question: Is your Product Owner the voice of senior management or the voice of the customer? [The Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]
What happens when your family stages an intervention because they've been avoiding you 10 days every month?I'm sharing the story of a patient who had a complete breakdown at Christmas dinner. She snapped at her husband, her kids, her mom, her in-laws—everyone. A few hours later, her family told her: "We love you, but for 10 days every month, we actively avoid you."She came to me asking: Am I bipolar? Am I manic? What's happening to me?This is PMDD premenstrual dysphoric disorder. And when it collides with perimenopause, it becomes a perfect storm. This is not just PMS. This isn't you being dramatic. It's a real biochemical thing happening in your brain an abnormal response to normal hormonal changes.I discuss the science of PMDD: how GABA receptors respond to progesterone metabolites, why some brains are change sensitive, and why the hormonal volatility of perimenopause (erratic estrogen, declining progesterone, unpredictable timing) makes everything exponentially worse. I explain treatment options from luteal-phase SSRIs to Yaz to Duavee for refractory cases, and why tracking your symptoms for at least two cycles is critical for diagnosis.Highlights:Why "I feel like I'm watching myself burn down my life and can't stop it" is the hallmark of PMDD.The DRSP tracking tool: why you need 2 cycles to diagnose PMDD properly. Why Vitex (chasteberry) might help mood swings and breast pain. What Duavee is and why it works for women who can't tolerate progestins. Why Dr. Tammy Rowan calls PMDD a progesterone sensitivity issue.Ulipristal: the emergency contraception drug being studied for PMDD.If you've ever felt like your brain gets hijacked on a schedule, if you've felt completely out of control, this episode is for you. Track your symptoms. Find a clinician who takes cyclic mood symptoms seriously. You don't have to live like this. Please share this episode with someone you know might be experiencing this or a clinician you think would benefit from it.Resource:DRSPDr. Tami RowenGet in Touch with Me:WebsiteInstagramYoutubeSubstackMentioned in this episode:GSM CollectiveThe GSM Collective - Chicago Boutique concierge gynecology practice Led by Dr. Sameena Rahman, specialist in sexual medicine & menopause Unrushed appointments in a beautiful, private setting Personalized care for women's health, hormones, and pelvic floor issues Multiple membership options available Ready for personalized women's healthcare? This episode just picked up where we left off last time, and it grew out of a question we've been sitting with lately: what's ACTUALLY shaping women's health right now? Today, Heather and I talk through the health and hormone trends we see gaining momentum as we head into 2026. Some of them are things we've personally seen help women and we feel good about. Others made us stop and ask more questions before moving forward. And in a lot of cases, slowing down has felt like the wiser choice for our own health.A few moments that stood out:Concerns and boundaries around AI in health and hormone supportWhy peptides aren't inherently bad, but often used without enough context or preparationWhy hyper-focusing on one body system often misses the bigger pictureIf health advice has been coming at you from all sides lately, press play and let us help you think differently about what your next step is.NEW Private Podcast - 3 Steps to Making Hormones WellBook a FREE Hormone Strategy Call with meCONNECT WITH Dr. HEATHER RHODES:WebsiteIG: @drheatherrhodesNEED HELP FIXING YOUR HORMONES? In this episode, I'm talking about the complex relationship between exercise and hormonal health, with a particular focus on female hormones. We'll look at the impacts of different types of exercise on the thyroid, adrenal glands, and sex hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone and how both over-exercising and under-exercising can disrupt hormone balance, leading to issues such as PMS, weight gain, and stress-related symptoms. I will also offer practical insights on how to tailor exercise routines to support hormonal health and emphasize the importance of relaxation practices, especially during stressful periods. In Today's Episode We Discuss · Understanding Hormones and Their Functions· The Female Hormone Cycle Explained· Thyroid and Adrenal Hormones· Impact of Exercise on Hormones· Exercise and Adrenal Fatigue· Balancing Exercise with Hormonal Health· Managing Stress and Exercise· Tips for a Healthy Exercise RoutineIf you're feeling out of sync, pay attention to what your body is telling you. Rest and relaxation are just as important as movement, and sometimes, less is more when it comes to exercise, especially if you're dealing with hormonal imbalances like PMS, weight gain, or stress. What does it take to build products that stand out in one of the most technical spaces in the industry? In this podcast hosted by Cassio Sampaio, Nutanix Vice President & General Manager Dan Ciruli speaks on how product leaders can guide customers through complex infrastructure decisions and stand out in ecosystems dominated by hyperscalers. He explores the realities of legacy systems, the skills PMs need to thrive in deeply technical environments, and the opportunities emerging across the evolving infrastructure stack.
In this episode of The Voices of War, Maz speaks with Brigadier (Ret.) Dan Fortune, DSC and Bar, a retired SASR commander and one of Australia's most decorated special operations officers, reflecting on leadership, accountability, and the human cost of Australia's war in Afghanistan. Dan served extensively within SASR Sabre Squadrons as both an enlisted operator and later a commissioned officer. His career includes multiple combat deployments to Afghanistan, senior targeting and command roles, counter-terrorism operations, combat freefall missions, and leadership appointments within Australian and NATO Special Operations Task Groups. He also served alongside US Tier One special forces and commanded the ADF Tactical Assault Group during the Sydney Olympics. Building on themes raised in the award-winning documentary Bravery and Betrayal and Episode 1 on this topic with Vando and Brett, this conversation explores the effects of relentless operational tempo, repeated rotations, and prolonged exposure to violence on moral judgement and decision-making. Dan discusses how cultural mismatch and partner force dynamics shaped operational realities on the ground, including green-on-blue incidents and force protection failures. The episode examines the conduct and consequences of the IGADF and Brereton processes, including findings later characterised by the Royal Commission as ‘weaponised injustice'. Dan reflects on how bureaucratic risk aversion, strategic distance, and institutional self-protection displaced accountability downward, leaving tactical operators to absorb blame, reputational damage, and long-term moral injury. Rather than focusing on individual wrongdoing, this episode interrogates systems: how wars are managed from afar, how leadership decisions cascade, and how justice, recognition, and responsibility are applied after conflict. It offers a sober, first-hand perspective on command, culture, and the enduring costs of a war of choice. Key Moments: DSC and Bar SASR commander reveals moral compass shift in combat Civilian casualties & how tolerance hardened over deployments Fat Lady's Arms hypocrisy: PMs drank, troops demonized IGADF as weaponized injustice - Royal Commission critique Green-on-blue murders & partner force cultural clashes O6 and below values vs One Star and above interests: Leadership cowardice exposed Healing through truth: Veteran recognition & future lessons
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Hayley: Hi Dr. Cabral- What is your opinion on stabilized lignite extract supplements? It is purported to tighten up a leaky gut, but I'm not clear on if this product is a necessary addition to my diet. Thanks for all the work you do– your podcast is awesome! James: Hi Dr. C what are your thoughts on eating fruit after dinner Nick: I've seen a lot of talk lately about doing sauna for too long being bad for you? Is this true and how do you know when too long is too long? Does temperature matter, or only time in the sauna? Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral, thanks for doing these HouseCalls - they are so helpful and I enjoy learning from them weekly as an IHP2! My questions is this: I had a client using Estrogen balance to help with her PMS symptoms and it really helped her a lot. I'm wondering when I know is the right time to begin lowering her dosage or stopping the supplement. Marcy: Thank you Dr. Cabral for taking my question! Why do you think it is that most of my clients seem to feel each FM Detox gets easier every time they do one. And why is it though that sometimes for seeming random reasons they'll have a challenging quarterly Detox where it feels like maybe the first time again? I'm just confused when this happens and I want to better know how to support my clients when this occurs. Welcome back to our weekend Cabral HouseCall shows! This is where we answer our community's wellness, weight loss, and anti-aging questions to help people get back on track! Check out today's questions: Lara: Hi, dr. Cabral! Hope you and your family are well.. I'm wondering about some ingredients in supplements, how to know which are ok? Have you maybe done a podcast about it ? It would be great to have a check list when it comes to supplements, please.. For example, gellan gum? You've said xanthan gum is not ok, guar is ok, what about the others? And I am wondering about other ingredients as well, fillers and additives.. which are ok and which are not Thank you so much! Happy healing to everyone! Rachel: Love your podcast thank you for all you do and hope to become an IHP one day! Anyway, this question is about my Dad. I have been doing some research, but would love your advice. He is 66 years old with diabetes and takes metformin. He has recently developed the early onset of neuropathy in his foot. What can he do to help slow the progression or even reserve the neuropathy? Supplement suggestions or diet advice? Thanks so much! Sarah: Hi Dr. Cabral! Will you please suggest an all natural method to get rid of flat warts I have all over my legs? I did run the big five labs and I've been working on all the imbalances for six months now, but the flat warts have not budged. Thank you so much for all you do! Tony: Hello Dr. Cabral, Suffered some early trauma and have had chronic stress most of my life. Never ate vegetables and fruits growing up. Now, @34 I have sibo, dysbiosis, leaky gut and nervous system dysregulation. Working on them with the DESTRESS protocol, and therapy. Wondering how to introduce new foods. I'm not kidding when I say I've been on a restricted diet my whole life and new foods cause immune flares and can tank me for a few days. I'm sure like the graduated exercise program in IHP, it's about introducing them slowly and letting the immune system adapt, but wondering if you had any tips on food expansion. Ran the big 5. Low potassium/sodium. DHEA of 3, some yeast and fungal markets elevated. Want to regulate nervous system and repair my gut over the next 12 months. Thanks! Kelsey: Hi Dr. Cabral! Hoping you can shed some light on this. After coming off hormonal birth control earlier this year, my cycle has been irregular and my PMS symptoms have become intense. I'm wondering how long it typically takes the endocrine system to rebalance? I'm also curious if supporting the liver or increasing certain micronutrients might help speed the process. In this episode of the Marni On The Move podcast, Marni Salup syncs up with Terry Chang and Dr. Ulrike Kaunzner, co-founders of Two Moons Health, for an in-depth conversation on seed cycling, cycle syncing, and hormone awareness through a practical, science-informed lens. The discussion begins with a clear overview of seed cycling, what it is, how it works, and why this approach to hormonal support are resonating with so many women today. Terry and Dr. Kaunzner share the inspiration behind building Two Moons Health and the gaps they saw in women's health education and care that led them to create a more accessible and supportive solution. The conversation explores how hormones shift throughout the menstrual cycle, with particular focus on PMS, why symptoms can look different from person to person, and why normalization should never mean dismissal. Marni and her guests discuss the benefits of seed cycling products, the challenges and opportunities within the women's health space, and the importance of responsible education and transparency. They also dive into the role of community in women's health, why shared experience matters, and how connection can drive awareness and empowerment. The founders share their own personal health practices and what they've learned from navigating hormonal health in real life. The episode also explores common hormonal health protocols, when they may be helpful, and why personalization is key. Practical advice is offered for women who want to become more aware of their hormonal patterns, including how to track cycles, understand symptoms, and know when to seek additional medical support. The conversation includes guidance on hormone testing, how to use data as information rather than judgment, and why tracking can be especially valuable for women experiencing PMS or hormonal shifts. The episode also touches on hormonal education for teenagers and the importance of early awareness. The conversation concludes with the vision for Two Moons Health and how the brand plans to continue supporting women through education, intentional nutrition, and community-building CONNECT Two Moons Health On Instagram Marni On The Move Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or YouTube` Marni Salup on Instagram and Playlist on Spotify SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER Sign up for our monthly newsletter, Do What Moves You, for Marni on the Move updates, exclusive offers, invites to events, and exciting news! Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Cabral HouseCall of the weekend! I'm looking forward to sharing with you some of our community's questions that have come in over the past few weeks… Sophie: Hi Stephen, I really appreciate all that you do and I was hoping you would be able to give me some much needed guidance. I was diagnosed with ventricular tachycardia last year and the only explanation the consultant could provide was it was due to a tiny scar on my heart. I had a ultrasound & an MRI and the results were fine, and my heart was structurally sound. I have taken the big 5 and nothing was out of the ordinary apart from high cortisol at night and candida. I consequently completed the CBO last year. I am currently on beta blockers to control the fast/erratic heartbeats. These do not work all the time. The consultant said my only other option is for them to preform an AF abrasion. What are your thoughts on this procedure, as I really want to get off the beta Blockers and find a natural alternative to fixing my heart. I have heard you talk about how Enzymes are good for the heart, is there one in particular that would help or anything else I can try? I really do not want to have the abrasion or carry on with the BB and am desperate to find a natural solution to fixing my symptoms. I am taking omega 3, magnesium-complex, VD + K2, vitamin c, b-complex, hawthorn, zinc, coq10 & taurine, is there anything else I should be taking to help. When my symptoms are at there worst, I get a big rush to the head and black out for a few seconds, whilst shaking. I have a clean diet, and do not smoke and have cut out alcohol, coffee & sugar, as I find any stimulant does not help, including over exercising. Please help, any advise would be greatly appreciated. Anonymous: Hi Dr. Cabral! Over the last year my cycle has gone from 28 days to 23–24 days, and my PMS symptoms have gotten extreme—like night sweats, heavy emotions, breast tenderness, and migraines right before my period. I'm only 34, so perimenopause feels early. Could this be stress-related, estrogen dominance, or something deeper? Thank you for all you do! Sarah: Hello dr C! Curious if you're familiar with the eating disorder Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)? I suffered with it from the age of 2 until 20 - eating nothing other than 2 "safe" foods which were very processed. I'm now 29 and can happily say I no longer suffer with this ED after years of work and eat ALL the foods (all healthy, organic, wholefoods). I'm worried if having this ED for this length of time and during my developing years has permanently impacted my health, specifically my digestion and my gut microbiome. I've drastically changed my life around, have done a bunch of your testing and protocols but still dealing with some issues and curious if my past means i'll never be able to reach optimal health? How resilient is the body? David: Hello Dr. Cabral, appreciate your work and dedication. I've been experiencing persistent muscle twitches throughout my body for about six months. My doctor says magnesium levels look "normal," but I know that doesn't always tell the full story. Could this be related to electrolytes, stress, or a nervous system imbalance? Any suggestions on testing or protocols to help calm the twitches would be appreciated. Tommy: Hi Dr. C, I'm so frustrated. I had a gut issue for a long time and only the healthy belly product kept it at bay. Stool test showed citrabacter Freudi which I ran before I had the digestive issues. I did 2 para protocols, then the CBO, and dealt with frequent urination all the way through. By week 8, my bowells were much better and things had improved, however, I had to stop the protocol there as I couldn't handle the supplements at a lower dose. 2 weeks later I picked up a stomach bug, and since then I'm back to square one. I'm working on CBT because I have a lot of trauma and I believe that's why I've been so succeptible to stomach issues. I'm considering another stool test but the only issue is, what can I do about the result if I can't handle so many herbs and supplements I feel stuc Thank you for tuning into this weekend's Cabral HouseCalls and be sure to check back tomorrow for our Mindset & Motivation Monday show to get your week started off right! - - - Show Notes and Resources: StephenCabral.com/3607 - - - Get a FREE Copy of Dr. Cabral's Book: The Rain Barrel Effect - - - Join the Community & Get Your Questions Answered: CabralSupportGroup.com - - - Dr. Cabral's Most Popular At-Home Lab Tests: > Complete Minerals & Metals Test (Test for mineral imbalances & heavy metal toxicity) - - - > Complete Candida, Metabolic & Vitamins Test (Test for 75 biomarkers including yeast & bacterial gut overgrowth, as well as vitamin levels) - - - > Complete Stress, Mood & Metabolism Test (Discover your complete thyroid, adrenal, hormone, vitamin D & insulin levels) - - - > Complete Food Sensitivity Test (Find out your hidden food sensitivities) - - - > Complete Omega-3 & Inflammation Test (Discover your levels of inflammation related to your omega-6 to omega-3 levels) - - - Get Your Question Answered On An Upcoming HouseCall: StephenCabral.com/askcabral - - - Would You Take 30 Seconds To Rate & Review The Cabral Concept?
