[3:01] Overcoming Fear Through Faith: Doing What Is Right in the Face of Adversity - The people in power called Joel a direct threat even without proving anything because he chose not to get vaccinated. - The vaccine doesn't stop transmission; based on a study, people with the product have more viral load than those without. - Joel was okay with letting go of his job because he believed he was being protected and promoted to do other things by the higher power and the universal being. - Fear is contagious. But so is courage. And when people that are courageous bond together, amazing things happen. [15:44] Joel's Journey on How He Was Able To Share The Truth in TV Stations - In the beginning, nobody wanted to cover Joel's story. - There are some criminal things done by the SF Police Department. They broke some laws to silence people such as Joel. - Joel took massive hard work and effort to be at Fox News. - You can be the catalyst for a movement, to stand for what is right, not what is easy. [20:12] Ignite: What Are The Important Principles About Mindset? - The biggest challenge people now have is their mindset, not exercise. - Stop trying to change the outside world. You got to change yourself, the inner you. Once you change that, then everything else changes. - Limiting beliefs and emotional issues halt your growth. If you can remove many of those blockages, you will succeed. - The world has given you everything you need, just get out of its way and stop interfering with it. You're creating the interference, not how you think of it. - You don't know where you're going if you're not committed and don't understand your Northstar and what you want to do in life. [33:27] Intentionality and Consistency: Learn This To Be Fit And Healthy - It's not true that you got to tear the muscle to regrow it and gain muscles. - Science shows that you need to create a stimulus enough to create a deficit so that the brain sees a deficit and that gaining more nutrients and muscle is needed. - It's not tearing the muscle; it's creating the stimulus. The body needs to recognize that it needs to build muscle. - By doing this workout style, you can repeatedly hit the same muscle group in a week and not feel sore. - This style of workout is not just effective but also time-efficient. [41:36] Sugar Cravings and Why It Is Connected To Neurotransmitters - Chemicals and flavouring experts are used in foods to deceive our brains into eating, and we now have an obesity issue. - When we have cravings, it's being stimulated through the dopamine pathway. - If you can shower the body with this liking or opioid pathway, it can blunt the dopamine pathway. - You can eat a minimum of high-quality chocolate to activate the liking pathway and lose the foods that trigger your cravings. [48:09] Why Detoxing is Important To Your Body, Especially In This Toxic World? - Detoxing produces good results, which is enough for you to do it. - People are suffering from these toxic waterways. - Some say detox is ineffective, not knowing they do not do proper detoxing. - Detoxing is not about weight loss. This is about getting you healthy. And a healthy body can't be overweight. AND MUCH MORE! This week's episode I was lucky enough to interview Dr Pete Goldman, founder of the Zone School Chiropractic. I have been seeing Dr Pete for years since he was first recommended to me by other martial artists and MMA fighters in the Bay Area. I then later met Dr Pete in a jiu-jitsu class and told him about my shoulder that was hurting me for almost a year and was not getting better. Dr Pete told me, “I can help you, just come see me.” I was doubtful as “normal chiropractors” just adjust bones and the spine and neck. And my issue was a muscle or a tendon, not a bone. Nonetheless, I saw Dr Pete and within a week or two my shoulder was back to 80%. That was years ago, and even till this day my shoulder is doing just fine.Dr Pete has an amazing story, and talked about his childhood growing up in Brooklyn in the 1970's. Dr Pete described Brooklyn as being a very “checkerboard” area, which led him to embarking on a journey into martial arts. Dr Pete is a true martial artist and really understands the history of the arts. Dr Pete's affinity for martial arts is what makes him popular with fighters today. The best in the world seek out Dr Pete, because they need results, and he delivers. Dr Pete also talks about why most chiropractor schools are a joke today and don't practice real healing. Dr Pete says:“99% of chiropractors, their patients are in their for neck and back pain, it's a joke…85% of my patients in my waiting room are here for their liver, their gallbladder, their pancreas, their nervous system, their immune system…” So what's the big disconnect? Listen to the episode to learn more. Lastly, Dr Pete has created his own online school The Zone Technique where other healers, acupuncturist, chiropractors, etc can learn the same healing principles that have given him great success. Dr Pete also teaches and conducts seminars worldwide. Joel Evan is life coach through the Human Potential Institute and an Integrative Health Practitioner (Level 1/2), studying under naturopath/ functional medicine doctor, Stephen Cabral. He's able to tackle more complex health issues other than just weight loss such as: parasites, gut dysbiosis, H Pylori, hormone issues, heavy metal detox, and much more. Joel has furthered his functional medicine knowledge by becoming a CellCore practitioner, as he's seen some amazing results in the Lyme community, those suffering from mold, children with autism and more. In 2019, Joel became a Neufit practitioner, which is a type of electric stim physical therapy that has shown tremendous benefits with individuals suffering from chronic pain/injuries, pre/post surgery rehab, and neurological disorders such as MS. Joel is also a speaker the host of the iTunes podcast – The Hacked Life – where he's interviewed some of the top health and high performance experts in the world such as Dave Asprey, James Altucher, Zander Fryer, and more. https://www.joelevancoaching.com/

What if I told you all the answers to every question you had about health and happiness? What if I was able to explain the ways we can all be successful in life, successful in fitness, better human beings and overall better at living the life we want to live? I think it is obvious I cannot do that, but if I could, the answers would probably be more simple than you expect. What if the answer to most of your fatigue or headaches was your salt intake? And when I say salt intake - I mean you're not getting enough. What if I say the reason you feel so run down is due to your poor gut health? Again, the answers to your questions might be right in front of your eyes. These are some of the reasons I wanted to have a discussion with Joel Evan. He is an Integrative Health Practitioner, health coach, podcast host and a new member of the 40 club. Joel helps his clients get to the root cause of their issues, whether it's weight loss, gut health, or even something more serious like autoimmune conditions, so that they can start living the best version of themselves. I should also mention that Joel is a ball of energy, loves what he does and is a Cali transplant living in the great state of Idaho. But seriously, for those interested in overcoming candida and parasitical infections, engaging in purges or cleanses, and generally improving their nutritional intake, this show was a fascinating discussion. Joel Evan is a health and fitness coach that wants to help everyone to get into the best shape of their life and stay there. Growing up, Joel read Muscle & Fitness Magazine, with a focus on having more confidence and getting girls to like him. As he left high school, he didn't know what he wanted to do with his life, but fell into the trap of feeling like he had to figure it out. He settled on getting into police work. He served in Oakland, CA, which saw a lot of robberies and homicides. He would eventually transfer to San Francisco. It was when Joel's first son was born that he found himself getting disenfranchised with the work. Things were getting too political, so he started to look into fitness. He began getting different fitness certifications and learning all he could about health from various experts. Doing fitness coaching on the side, Joel made the leap to full time last October when the police department let him go for refusing to get the Covid vaccine. Having been coaching for a while, Joel felt ready to go all in. He was passionate about not only getting people physically fit, but to improve their health overall. He's a huge advocate for clean eating and warns of the dangers of Glyphosate, a chemical that is sprayed on food crops. Joel says it does so many things to the body including leaky gut, autoimmunity, and inflammation. With traditional food, sprayed with this chemical, robbing the body of nutrients, Joel makes the case for going organic. Beyond going organic, Joel says it's a good idea to work towards being self-sufficient. You see all the news about food plants burning down, Joel doesn't get too much into the conspiracy theories, but still thinks it's a good idea to be prepared. By supporting local farmers, you're not only getting top nutrition, but also growing community with others. In addition to his coaching business, Joel also hosts a podcast called The Hacked Life. He interviews others who have taken a chance and done big things to inspire his listeners to take action. Joel believes that success loves speed and that we shouldn't sit on the sidelines waiting for everything to be perfect. He encourages others to just start, to take messy action. You'll either succeed or you'll learn from your failures. What You'll Learn: How intermittent fasting works. Why weight loss isn't as simple as maintaining a caloric deficit. How health, wealth, and mindset are all connected. And much more! Extremely excited to share this podcast episode with my tribe, the co-CEO and founder of CAROL AI Bike, Ulrich Dempfle. The basis of the science behind CAROL is REHIT (Reduced Exertion High-intensity Interval Training). It's a new, improved form of HIIT (high-intensity interval training). A typical HIIT program lasts 30 minutes, and is extremely difficult for many people. But a REHIT session with CAROL session consists of two 20-second sprints, separated by a short recovery. The whole workout lasts 8 minutes and 40 seconds. Where HIIT offers high-intensity training, REHIT offers maximum intensity training. This pushes your body to new limits, making you much stronger and fitter. Why does this matter? In multiple 8 week studies, CAROL has been shown to reduce Type 2 Diabetes by 62%, increase VO2 Max (a measure of cardiorespiratory fitness) by 12%, burn twice the amount of calories compared to traditional exercise (that would take 2 hours), and much more. This means in something as simple as 10 mins a day for three times a week, you can achieve all of the health and anti-aging benefits and also get your time back. Which means more time with your kids, family, wife/husband, business, etc. This technology in my opinion is disruptive and revolutionary, and I'm grateful it's out there. I'm also grateful as a user who gets to take advantages of it!If you're interested in getting a CAROL bike, head over to www.carolbike.com and use the code "JOELEVAN" for a discount. If you're looking for holistic health coaching and getting to the root cause of your issue, whether it's weight loss, PCOS, gut health (H Pylori, candida, parasites, GERD), or detoxing from heavy metals, I can help. Today, I am blessed to have here with me Joel Evan. Before Joel became a coach for empowering people and sharing ‘biohacks' across the globe, he had his share of obstacles to overcome. From having an abnormal bone growth in his leg as a young child, to feeling lost and with no sense of purpose after high school and college, to starting a business twice and failing, and being $20k in debt, Joel's story is the perfect example of how anybody can overcome the obstacles in their life and achieve greatness. Fast forward a few short years, and Joel was featured in the hit Netflix show, A User's Guide to Cheating Death, and launched his podcast The Hacked Life. He is a high performance life coach, a health coach, and speaker. He's also a Neufit practitioner that uses a machine called a Neubie which utilizes a direct current electrical stimulation to provide the body the right signals, so your body has the opportunity to heal itself from injury, build muscle, and create good health. Joel is also a martial artist and a black belt in Tony Ramos Kajukenbo and has been training in various martial arts for over 20 years. Joel has been a first responder for over 13 years and understands the life threatening, high stake, stressful environment that debilitates many in the profession and has developed skills and systems to promote balance. While many are running away from the threat, Joel is running towards it. In this episode, Joel opens up about what inspired him to get into the health space. Sadly, Joel realized that our healthcare system only cares about the effects of something rather than a cause. So, Joel set out to help all sorts of people, specifically, weight loss for men. However, Joel doesn't necessarily help men lose weight. Instead, he helps them transform their habits, lifestyle, and beliefs. Luckily, Joel gives us tips on creating lasting habits, controlling our beliefs, and he reveals his favorite biohacks. Tune in to hear Joel's book recommendations. [00:30] What Inspired Joel To Get Into The Health Space One thing Joel noticed about himself is that he never thinks he is doing good enough. The lack of that self-worth issue also fuels Joel and drives him to get better and do more. After having his first son, Joel saw that his son was not flourishing – it didn't make sense. Joel knew there had to be a better way to be healthy. Sadly, our current health system only looks at the effects instead of the cause. “There are so many people suffering that shouldn't be, and that just drives me nuts.” -Joel Evan [07:30] What Joel Would Tell Someone To Focus On Who Is Trying To Get Healthy Joel likes to help men with weight loss. However, when you help somebody with weight loss, there are so many other things going on with that person. A lot of times, Joel will help people emotionally and who they become as a person after their weight loss. After seeing Joel, people have a complete transformation. It's not necessarily about hitting the goal, but who we become along the way. [10:50] Joel Reveals The Best Ways To Create Healthy Habits The first step in any kind of habit is you need to have awareness. Next, make your habits tiny, easy, and achievable. The fastest way to get to a habit is you want to anchor it to something that you're already doing. For instance, brushing your teeth is a great anchor because you do that every single day. If you want to start reading more, then after you brush your teeth, open up the book and close the book. That's all you have to do! Eventually, you'll start reading a page every night. Down the road, that page will turn into a chapter every night. [14:10] How Your Beliefs Are Playing A Role In Your Health Creating a lifestyle will require a foundation. You should be able to tune back in and align yourself with core fundamentals and then get back and do what you got to do. People don't realize how much their beliefs play a role in their health and day-to-day life. As you go about your day, ask yourself why you do what you do. People don't question you because they are aligned with you. During Covid, people believed that if they didn't wear a mask, they would get sick. Well, if you take on that belief, you probably will get sick. Once you balance the body, the body can go and do whatever it wants. [22:10] Why Joel Recommends Wearing A Continuous Glucose Monitor If you're someone who is really interested in losing weight, then a CGM is the best way to get clean data on what foods are doing to you. Food sensitivities can have issues on the downstream effects in your body, cortisol, and anything like that. Joel loves coffee. However, it was pretty frightening to see what a cold brew coffee did to his blood glucose. Joel even saw 180 from drinking cold brew on his CGM. [29:50] Joel Reveals His Favorite Biohack - The NeuFit System The NeuFit System is one of Joel's favorite biohacks. One of the most influential and transformative ways to help people recover from pain and injury is to work with something often overlooked in the traditional medical model - the nervous system. The NeuFit System uses technology to help the body become more efficient with its own processes. Sadly, traditional rehab and training often have poor results because there is not enough of the right type of stimulation. That's why Joel loves NeuFit because our organs vibrate at a certain frequency or current. Dr Lewinski has studied officer involved shootings and human dynamics in a way that no one has Obviously, in 2020, the police got a lot of attention. So, I wanted to bring on someone who has intelligently studied use of force and officer involved shootings to help shed some light on the topics. This interview, is in no way meant to be divisive, but is meant to give the audience another lens of looking at a topic that most really have no insight on. The mainstream media only gives us one narrative and the police only gives us one narrative. The public constantly asks, "Why did the officer shoot the suspect in the back? Why did the police fire so many rounds? Why do barbers get more training than a police cadet in the academy?" These are all valid questions, but the public rarely gets a great answer other than sensationalized news headlines. Dr Lewinski answers all these questions and much more in the interview.Dr. Lewinski is a leading behavioral scientist whose work has focused on the intensive study of human dynamics involved in high stress, life-threatening encounters. He has a Ph.D. in Police Psychology and is a professor emeritus of Law Enforcement at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he taught for more than 28 years, was an L.E.
