We have a couple more names to add to our fast-growing list of shadow banking casualties. And, yes, collateral is once again the common theme. One of them is of course in subprime auto financing, but that's just another canary in the credit coalmine. The other has been accused of fabricating half a billion of collateral invoices. In our next episode Dr. John Krystal, a pioneer in the uses of Ketamine for psychiatric disorders, will discuss both its transformative and sometimes life-saving effects, as well as the many risks associated with its misuse. At the heart of entrepreneurship lies not just innovation and ambition, but a deeper journey of self-discovery, resilience, and embracing our most authentic selves. Entrepreneurship, often glamorized for its successes, can just as easily lead us into the depths of uncertainty, loneliness, and self-doubt. Yet, as we face these challenges with open hearts, we discover the possibility for profound transformation—both in our work and in ourselves. In this episode, we welcome Melissa Bernstein, entrepreneur, creator, and co-founder of Melissa & Doug. With candor and warmth, Melissa shares insights from her latest book, The Heart of Entrepreneurship, reflecting on her lifelong dance between creativity and perfectionism, passion and patience, success and existential struggle. Together, Jerry and Melissa unpack what it means to persevere through the “rollercoaster” of building something meaningful, the importance of embracing imperfection, and the healing power of making our inner journeys visible. Welcome back to the When Words Fail Music Speaks Podcast, where we dive into the power of music to lift us out of depression, break genre walls and rewrite the rules of the industry. In today's episode, host James Andrew Cox sits down with Seattle‑based, multi‑award‑winning singer‑songwriter Lady Miranda—a soulful vocalist who fuses R&B, rock, hip‑hop, and more into a sound that's unmistakably hers. We'll hear how she turned childhood poetry into a career that's as boundary‑defying as it is deeply personal, and why she refuses to follow anyone else's “songwriting template.”Beyond the music, Miranda opens up about her late‑life diagnoses of autism and ADHD, sharing how hyper‑focus fuels marathon‑writing sessions while also posing everyday challenges—from stage lighting to studio fatigue. She also spotlights ISSA (the International Society of Artists & Musical Professionals with Disabilities), an organization fighting for a more inclusive music world. From grunge‑era Seattle roots and favorite bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden, to surprise rap verses tucked into her tracks, Miranda's story is a testament to resilience, creativity, and community. Whether you're an aspiring artist, a mental‑health advocate, or simply a fan of genre‑bending music, this conversation will inspire you to let the melody speak where words fall short.Stay tuned—your next dose of musical inspiration starts now.

But what you might not know is the extraordinary story that shaped the strong woman she is. It's a story of addiction, depression, tabloid phone-hacking and the darker side of fame. It's also the story of sobriety, recovery and the surreality of having survived post-natal psychosis to become the mother of one of the famous musical frontmen in the world: Matty Healy of The 1975. In this beautifully candid conversation, Denise opens up about surviving the toughest times but knowing how to celebrate the good ones (and yes, she does give us the inside scoop on being a guest at Charli XCX's wedding). What if the most powerful antidepressant isn't in a pill, but in your sneakers? In this episode, I speak with Dr. Nicholas Fabiano about the science behind why movement can be as effective as antidepressants. We also explore the social and psychological benefits of staying active and how even small steps can spark powerful change. You'll also hear fascinating insights about creatine, brain energy, and how lifestyle prescriptions may soon reshape the future of psychiatry. Dr. Nicholas Fabiano is a psychiatry resident and researcher at the University of Ottawa with a passion for the mind-body connection. Originally from Thunder Bay, he turned a broken arm from an arm-wrestling match into a fascination with how exercise, nutrition, and sleep can transform mental health. Today, his work in lifestyle psychiatry explores how simple daily habits can powerfully impact depression and overall well-being. What you'll learn: (02:57) How Dr. Fabiano's own injury sparked his passion for exercise and mental health. (05:42) Why exercise benefits the brain beyond mood. (07:48) The real science behind exercise and depression, including serotonin, inflammation, and brain growth factors. (09:11) How the social and psychological aspects of movement can be just as healing as the biological ones. (11:40) Simple, practical ways to motivate someone struggling with depression to get moving again. (14:17) Why the best type of exercise is the one you'll actually do—and how adherence matters more than modality. (18:45) How Dr. Fabiano “prescribes” exercise using the FITT framework (Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type). (29:25) The surprising connection between creatine supplementation, brain energy, and depression recovery. Love the podcast? Here's what to do: Subscribe to the podcast. Leave a review. In the final installment of this three-part series, Darryl Lyons, CEO & Co-Founder of PAX Financial Group, takes a deeper look at the widely discussed predictions of a potential market downturn in 2030. Rather than leaning into fear, headlines, or doomsday forecasts, Darryl breaks down the four major forces that many believe could collide: government spending, inflation, demographic shifts, and a potential AI bubble. Darryl also discusses the “Chicken Little” voices that have been calling for market catastrophe for decades, spotlighting the dangers of linear thinking, pessimistic modeling, and predictions that ignore innovation, human behavior, and historical resilience. With a practical and level-headed approach, he discusses why long-term investors often benefit from focusing less on fear and more on building durable plans designed to navigate uncertainty. In this episode, Darryl covers: The four “cars in the intersection” that fuel 2030 crash predictions. Why pessimists are rarely held accountable for bad forecasts. How linear thinking skews market narratives. The potential risks behind government spending and demographics. Why AI could be transformative - even if parts of it become a bubble. Low T is linked to an increased risk of bone fracture, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes.TRT is often protective. Contrary to the long-standing myth, replacing low testosterone to a healthy range does not increase the risk of cardiac events. It is, in fact, protective against cardiovascular disease.Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is a canary in the coal mine. ED can predict a heart attack within 3 to 5 years.Men can maintain high T levels. Testosterone levels in a healthy 75-year-old can be just as good as in a man in his 20s.The solution is often concurrent. For an obese or overweight man with low T, concurrent treatment with TRT and a lifestyle intervention is often the most responsible approach to provide the motivation needed for weight loss.Low-dose daily Cialis (2.5mg to 5mg) may be a viable preemptive strategy for cardiovascular health due to its blood flow benefits. This episode is brought to you by:Manukora - Get $25 off your Starter Kit at

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the Secretary of Health and Human Services, clearly does not like SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors), the most popular form of antidepressant on the market. They're used by millions of Americans on a daily basis. He has tried to tie SSRIs to school shooters despite a lack of evidence to that effect. He has suggested that it's harder to go off SSRIs than it is to quit heroin. It's not. Molly Olmstead, a reporter for Slate who has been covering this story closely, says that this does not mean that the government is about to try to ban SSRIs and leave patients without the medicines that may be keeping them alive. But she explains that yes, we are in the midst of a very active anti-SSRI PR campaign by Kennedy and his supporters in the so-called Make America Healthy Again movement and that campaign could presage a much more aggressive set of actions.Thank you to all our listeners who support the show as monthly members of Maximum Fun.Check out our I'm Glad You're Here and Depresh Mode merchandise at the brand new merch website MaxFunStore.com!Hey, remember, you're part of Depresh Mode and we want to hear what you want to hear about. What if your “food sensitivities” weren't really the problem—but just the message your body's been trying to send you? In this episode, we unpack what most food sensitivity tests get wrong and why the MRT (Mediator Release Test) is one of the few tools that can actually reveal what's really inflaming your body. In today's episode, we'll share my personal journey of years of bloating, fatigue, and restriction—before finally discovering how MRT testing offered real answers instead of endless guesswork. You'll learn how popular IgG tests often mislead people into cutting out 20+ foods unnecessarily, and how MRT goes deeper by measuring your actual inflammatory response—not just antibody exposure. We'll break down what the results actually mean, why some “healthy” foods might be triggering your system, and how to use that information to heal, not just restrict. This episode also explores the root causes behind sensitivities—like low stomach acid, leaky gut, chronic stress, and dysbiosis—and how to rebuild tolerance instead of living in fear of food. Through my own experience of reintroducing foods and repairing gut function, I show how MRT can shift you from feeling reactive and confused to calm and confident in your body again. If you've tried every elimination diet, still feel inflamed, and are tired of playing food detective, this conversation will help you see sensitivities for what they really are: signals, not sentences. By the end, you'll understand why healing the terrain, not just removing the foods, is the key to lasting relief—and how using data the right way can bring back freedom, flexibility, and trust in your body. Time Stamps: (1:42) Country T-Swift Fan (2:47) Being An Optimizer (4:57) Food Sensitive/MRT (9:27) Overactive Immune System (11:57) Note on MRT Test (16:52) What Foods To Eat When (20:22) Lowering Inflammation---------------------Find Out More Information on Vital Spark Coaching---------------------Follow @vanessagfitness on Instagram for daily fitness tips & motivation. ---------------------Download Our FREE Metabolism-Boosting Workout Program---------------------Join the Women's Metabolism Secrets Facebook Community for 25+ videos teaching you how to start losing fat without hating your life!---------------------Click here to send me a message on Facebook and we'll see how I can help or what best free resources I can share!---------------------Interested in 1-on-1 Coaching with my team of Metabolism & Hormone Experts? Send us a textWhat happens when the generation meant to build the future feels like they don't have one?In this raw and deeply personal solo episode, host Lira Ndifon steps out from behind the interview mic to share her own harrowing battle with depression—a journey that stripped her of her identity but ultimately led her to her purpose. But her story is just the beginning. Lira confronts a crisis hiding in plain sight: the staggering rates of mental health struggles among children and teens. Armed with alarming statistics, she reveals that 73 to 74 million children in the US are grappling with mental health issues, yet a devastating 79% receive no support. This isn't just about numbers; it's about the silent suffering behind closed doors, the stigma that keeps young people—especially young men—from speaking up, and the societal pressures contributing to suicide becoming the second leading cause of death for ages 10-34. Lira challenges the silence, arguing that open conversation is not the risk—it's the antidote. She connects the dots between untreated mental health, community violence, and the specific hurdles faced in African and African American communities. This is a must-listen for parents, educators, and anyone who cares about the next generation. You will discover:Lira's Untold Story: How losing her identity led her to the depths of depression and the self-reflection practices that brought her back. The Shocking Statistics: A clear breakdown of the youth mental health crisis and why it demands our immediate attention.Beyond the Stigma: Understanding the unique challenges and cultural barriers preventing young people, especially boys, from seeking help.Your Mental Wellness Toolkit: Four simple, powerful tools—journaling, meditation, exercise, and community—that Lira personally used to heal and that you can implement today. This episode is a powerful blend of vulnerability and data, a heartfelt plea for awareness, and a practical guide to finding hope in the darkness. From Silence to Voice: Breaking the Stigma Around Depression & Anxiety with Noah May

On Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, host Avik Chakraborty talks with Noah May, creator of the Lethal Venom podcast, about navigating depression since age 13, an atypical anxiety diagnosis in 2020, and why speaking openly became his turning point. This direct, no-fluff conversation covers stigma, isolation, therapy, and using media to normalize mental health dialogue for young adults. If you're building resilience, clarifying what “success” means beyond burnout, or looking for language to start your own conversation, this episode is for you.   About the Guest  : Noah May is a journalist and host of the Lethal Venom podcast (plus two additional shows). He uses long-form conversation to tell the unfiltered truth about mental health, giving voice to those who feel unheard.   Key Takeaways: Early signs can be confusing: Noah's anxiety presented primarily as persistent morning nausea and weight loss—proof that symptoms don't always match the textbook. Stigma is shifting, slowly: more people share today than a decade ago, but fear of judgment still keeps many silent. Isolation compounds pain: feeling like an outcast led Noah to “stay small”; sharing his story reversed that pattern. Speaking up is a first step to healing: openness revealed real support and helped Noah reclaim self-trust. Redefining success: without self-care, “achievement” becomes another form of burnout; sustainable success includes mental health. Therapy works: professional help and ongoing self-work were pivotal in Noah's recovery and day-to-day stability. Community matters: platforms like podcasts can normalize help-seeking and model vulnerability for younger listeners. Practical cue: if symptoms don't look “typical,” still seek evaluation—atypical presentations are real and treatable. Forget the gold watch and glide path to the couch. Retirement has been rewritten. In this episode, James walks through the 10 biggest shifts redefining life after work—and how to replace outdated rules with a plan that's practical, human, and built for how people actually live today. From the mindset shift away from Depression-era scarcity to using money as a tool for a richer life, this episode explores how to align spending with values so every dollar supports health, connection, and meaning.Longevity changes everything. With many people now facing 25 to 30 years in retirement, healthspan and financial strategy both need an update. Learn how longer lives, inflation, and lower bond yields are forcing a smarter approach: reliable income for essentials, growth for purchasing power, and cash buffers to ride out volatility. We break down the fall of pensions and the rise of 401(k)s and IRAs—plus sequence-of-returns risk, Social Security timing, and tax-efficient withdrawals that can extend your savings by a decade or more.Retirement isn't a cliff anymore; it's a ramp. Hear how phased work, consulting, and passion projects keep identity and income alive. We'll also share ways to plan for rising healthcare costs, use technology for travel and lifelong learning, and design daily habits that add both years and meaning. What you'll learn:Retirement mindset: how to shift from scarcity to purpose and use money as a tool for fulfillment.Portfolio strategy: balancing income, growth, and liquidity for longevity and inflation.Tax planning: how to manage withdrawals, Social Security, and RMDs for lifetime efficiency.Health and lifestyle design: funding healthcare, travel, and connection intentionally.Purpose and meaning: creating a next chapter that feels alive and aligned. If you want to build a retirement that reflects your values, not old-school financial rules, this conversation gives you the clarity to live it well.-Advisory services are offered through Root Financial Partners, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser. Sunday Morning Live Donors Stream 31 August 2025Stefan Molyneux explore the complexities of mental health, challenging the prevalent notion that conditions like depression are merely a result of chemical imbalances in the brain. Reflecting on his 2011 lecture, he discusses the heavy reliance on SSRIs by a significant portion of the American population and the lack of compelling evidence supporting the chemical imbalance theory. He raises important questions about personal responsibility in mental health and the societal tendency to attribute unhappiness to biochemical causes rather than examining deeper moral and psychological factors. Emphasizing the importance of self-reflection and moral clarity, he advocates for a more nuanced understanding of emotional struggles that goes beyond quick pharmaceutical fixes. Ultimately, he encourages listeners to embrace personal accountability and confront uncomfortable truths to foster genuine growth and fulfillment.SUBSCRIBE TO ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxFollow me on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/@freedomain1GET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
