Der Inhalt, neben dem eigentlichen Produkt, ist hauptsächlich Luft. Die EU möchte der Verschwendung von Materialien ein Ende machen. Seit 12. August gilt aus diesem Grund die EU-Verpackungsverordnung. Grundsätzlich klingt das nach einer guten Idee, doch es gibt einen Haken. Nach einer halben Stunde steht etwas Brauchbares, nach Stunden ist es immer noch nicht gut genug, und es gibt längst ein fertiges Tool für 30 bis 100 Euro im Monat, das sich ständig weiterentwickelt. Der Weg dazwischen ist die Prozessdenke. Welche Kernprozesse bringen Geld aufs Konto, und wie machst du die mit KI schneller oder besser? Produktanlage zum Beispiel, wo Mitarbeiter fast nichts anderes tun als Titel und Beschreibungen zu schreiben, obwohl das per Knopfdruck bis in Shopify laufen kann. Und welche Aufgaben kosten viel Zeit, ohne Wertschöpfung zu bringen? Kundensupport, den Gründer viel zu lange selbst machen. Fotoshootings für 2.000 Euro, die in 95 Prozent der Fälle ein Tool für 50 Euro im Monat ersetzt. Freelancer für Shop-Änderungen, die du inzwischen selbst umsetzen kannst. Freuen wir uns auf die Wiederkunft Jesu – oder verdrängen wir sie? Und warum verwendet der Apostel Paulus sogar so starke Worte wie «verflucht», wenn jemand den Herrn nicht liebt? In meinem Interview mit Uta Over sprechen wir über das Hören, ihre Ertaubung und ein Experiment, das ihr Mindset verändert.Uta hat eine Mittelohrentzündung und wird von heute auf morgen auf einem Ohr taub. Sie geht zum Facharzt, nimmt Antibiotika und denkt: „Das wird wieder gut." Bis sie extremen Schwindel bekommt und ins Krankenhaus eingewiesen wird. Nach drei Tagen entdecken die Ärzte, dass ihr Trommelfell weg ist und sagen ihr auf den Kopf zu, dass das so bleibt.Sie geht wieder arbeiten und merkt: Es reicht nicht, mit einem Ohr zu hören. Sie entscheidet sich, sich ein Cochlea-Implantat einsetzen zu lassen. Dann geht alles ganz schnell. Nach der Operation braucht sie wieder Geduld, denn das Implantat kann erst fünf Wochen später eingestellt werden. Diese Zeit ist für sie eine echte Herausforderung, denn eigentlich ist sie ein Mensch, der sich Sorgen macht und schnell ängstlich wird.Sie beschließt, sich nicht kleinkriegen zu lassen und startet ein Experiment. Diese fünf Wochen werden ihre Hoffnungs-Wochen. Sie postet jeden Tag ein Foto, ein Zitat oder einen Vers zum Thema Hoffnung. Ihre Freunde schicken ihr von sich aus Fotos und Zitate. Was als Experiment beginnt, verändert ihr Mindset nachhaltig. Ihr Leben ist heute anders, weil sie weiß, dass sie ihr Leben gestalten kann.Als es so weit ist, begleitet ihr Mann sie. Nach einigen kurzen technischen Erklärungen hört sie die ersten Töne und ist glücklich.Wir sprechen auch über ihre Arbeit als Kinderwunsch-Beraterin. Sie und ihr Mann haben sich selber Kinder gewünscht. Als ihr Wunsch nicht in Erfüllung geht, sucht sie eine Kinderwunsch-Beraterin auf, die ihr hilft, ihren Wunsch loszulassen und sich von ihm zu verabschieden.Als ihr Mann ihr vorschlägt, ihre Geschichte aufzuschreiben, legt sie einfach los. Sie schreibt über ihre Ertaubung, über ihre Gefühle und ihren Weg. Sie veröffentlicht ihre Geschichte unter dem Titel „Hören verloren, Hoffnung gefunden". Was Kermit mit ihrer Geschichte zu tun hat, das erzählt sie uns auch. Doch die Ängste, dass sie das Hören wieder verlieren könnte, bleiben. This week I spoke with Garland Nixon about the growing militarisation of western economies and societies: what is driving it and how is it impacting our lives? We talked about the huge propaganda drive against Russia, the constant talk about war spending and conscription and the multitude of ways in which the talk of existential threats and increased war spending are being normalised. We also talked about the threat that is posed to British imperialism by the anti-genocide movement, which, at its core, is an anti-imperialist movement. The need to suppress such activities explains the efforts the state put into to rig the trial of the Filton Six (who took direct action against the Zionist/Imperialist war machine in Britain) as well as the draconian targeting of health workers who oppose genocide in Britain. It is in this context that Dr Ranjeet Brar and the Right to Protest organisation have launched a judicial review to try to overturn NHS England's decision to adopt the IHRA 'definition of antisemitism' – a device which allows managers to discipline and even fire health workers who express support for Palestine and opposition to Israeli genocide. In Britain and across the “western” NATO countries, thousands of doctors, lawyers, teachers, workers and citizens are under legal attack for defending Palestine. I was suspended after criticising Israel's actions in Gaza, and the US-Israeli and British war on Iran. Police arrested me at my home, leaving my children to look after each other. This is the third time I've been targeted by the police and I have faced multiple vexatious complaints and attacks at work - all coming from the state and the zionist lobby working hand in glove with our government. The management are complicit and collaborate in creating this politically repressive environment. In every case of police and workplace harassment, it is the “IHRA definition of antisemitism” that is being used as a benchmark to adjudicate what is “legitimate speech”. The definition was designed as a data gathering tool, and was never intended to become a law, or to be used in this way. Theresa May adopted it for the UK together with Nicola Sturgeon in 2016 without any consultation. The major political parties followed suit (including Plaid Cymru, SNP, Liberal, Labour and the Greens). It was pushed on police forces, schools and colleges, and Wes Streeting has been pushing it actively into the heart of the NHS. So now we have a situation in which existing laws (Public order act, professional regulatory frameworks, university regulations and constitutions) are being interpreted in its light, and the IHRA definition is therefore being “applied” as “law” - to silence legitimate speech on Palestine, and criticism of Israeli, US and British genocide. The Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist) held a screening of the landmark 1948 Polish film The Last Stage (Ostatni etap). Directed by Wanda Jakubowska — a communist, resistance fighter, and survivor of Auschwitz — the film was among the first cinematic depictions of the Nazi concentration camps and the organised resistance that developed within them. Several Auschwitz survivors appear in the film, portraying roles closely connected to their own lived experiences just a few years after the liberation, adding a rare and powerful layer of direct testimony and lived experience to its reconstruction of events. Produced in postwar people's democratic Poland and filmed partly on location at Auschwitz itself, The Last Stage stands as both historical testimony and a forceful affirmation of the role played by communists in the struggle against fascism and genocide. At a time when our ruling class seeks to discredit communists and anti-imperialists as “anti-Semitic” for expressing solidarity with oppressed peoples and resisting imperialist war, occupation, sanctions, and national oppression, this screening reasserts a clear historical record: communists were at the forefront of the struggle against racism, fascism, colonialism, and war. We discussed the connected between imperialism and fascism, and imperialism and terrorism, and the way in which both are used to create proxy forces and an element of deniability to imperialist suppression and warmongering. The imperialists are the principal terrorists in the world today. There is nothing more terroristic than the conducting of genocidal wars against people whose only crime is to live in a place where sovereignty is considered absolutely intolerable by the overlords of monopoly finance capital! We noted the painful coincidence whereby the forum convened less than 48 hours after the horrific terrorist attack by the Nato/Kiev junta on a girl's dormitory in Russia (Starobilsk, Lugansk, to be precise), and discussed the rationale behind the systematic and deliberate targeting of children by the imperialist war machine today. What do western ‘strategists' hope to achieve by perpetrating such outrages, which are certainly NOT accidental? We also talked about the doublespeak indulged in by imperialist politicians and media, whereby on the one hand they create forces of real terrorism which they CLAIM to be opposing (while actually supporting them), and on the other hand label all their opponents, whether internal antiwar activists or external freedom fighters, as 'terrorists' who must be suppressed in the harshest way possible – for the 'protection' of the wide population, naturally. ______________________________________________ Subscribe! Why were we in Nairobi joining an anti-imperialist conference and then a street protest against the France-Africa summit in the first place? What is France's interest in Kenya, and what is the Kenyan government's role in Nato and in the African front of WW3? And what can three days and nights in police cells teach us about the nature of the Kenyan state and its relationship to its own people? What do the conditions and processes we experienced there reveal about the nature of neocolonial rule in Africa? One other notable aspect of our incarceration was that while it was major news in Kenya and some other parts of the world, the British media, British political establishment AND the British 'left' (antiwar movement, trade union movement, 'independent' media, various 'communist' and 'socialist' parties) all maintained a strict silence over the event. No one here seemed remotely interested in highlighting the unlawful locking up of a British citizen and anti-imperialist activist in a nation that is known to be a close 'ally' (proxy) of Britain. Meanwhile, the political nature of our detention was made very clear to us, since the Kenyan state had to break its own constitution and the police had to override all their own procedures to keep us locked up for so long without bringing us to court. It was made clear that the orders came from 'on high', but HOW high? Were those giving the orders inside or OUTSIDE the country? The fight for freedom and sovereignty in Kenya and Africa continue, and our comrades in the CPM Kenya are building a broad movement that aims to carry through the national-democratic revolution that was denied the people in 1963. Their activities and the growing anger of the impoverished masses has clearly put fear into the ruling comprador elite and their imperialist paymasters. South Korea is a colony of Anglo-American imperialism. The Democratic Republic of Korea, otherwise known as North Korea, is a demonised state that is described as 'the aggressor' by Western Media for its defensive actions in response to the U.S. empire which killed 2.5 million innocent civilians during the 1950s Korean war and still seeks to destroy them today. To the West, the DPRK does not have an army, prisons, an intelligence service, and national interests, but death squads, prison camps, secret police, and rogue-state interests.
