Dr. Renée Burton, Vice President of Threat Intelligence from Infoblox, is sharing the team's work on "Deniability by Design: DNS-Driven Insights into a Malicious Ad Network." Infoblox returns with new threat actor research uncovering Vane Viper, a Cyprus-based holding company behind PropellerAds—one of the world's largest advertising networks. The report reveals that Vane Viper isn't just being exploited by criminals but operates as a criminal infrastructure itself, built to profit from fraud, malware, and disinformation through offshore entities and complex ownership structures. The findings highlight the growing convergence between adtech, cybercrime, and state-linked influence operations, suggesting that elements of the global digital advertising ecosystem are now functioning as infrastructure for large-scale cyber and disinformation campaigns. The very latest in an aggressive flex in the Caribbean by the Secretary of War. What's the end goal? And President Trump has also signaled a willingness to get involved in battling those who slaughter Christians in Africa. John Hayward brings his brilliance to both issues as well as the criticism that issues like these take the focus off our domestic priorities. To that end, the Vice President hits the talk shows to make the cast the President can, in fact, walk and chew gum at the same time and is doing just that on the economy. We discuss the AI race with China today and where things stand. Trying to win the hearts and minds of the young voter is also of paramount importance to Stigall as he highlights AOC's attempt to woo them away from free markets and come over to the side of the socialists. And Congressman Sam Graves discusses the agricultural community's beef over beef and soybeans, the future of air traffic controllers and flights that have been disrupted because of the shutdown, and the looming Highway Bill coming next year in the House of Representatives. Mary welcomes Oscar Navarro of Living Waters Ministry to talk about winning for the right side, bringing the gospel and the message of the cross to whosoever might listen and be saved. Oscar is Vice President of Ministry Advancement and a host of Way of the Master TV program, now in its 11th year. In this installment of SUFTT, we chat about how he came to Christ, and what it means to work at Living Waters. We ask him about open air preaching, which is something that our human nature perhaps rubs against and yet moving forward despite our fears even when public speaking is involved is an important aspect of reaching everyday humans with the truth. What happens after that, well, we leave the results to God. Living Waters has been a blessing to so many for decades, and demonstrating how to share the gospel is as important of an aspect to what they do as it is actually sharing it because believers often need a little encouragement, inspiration and education on how best to do just that. Special Feature: Andrew Crawford, Vice President at Keysource talks with TWIRx host Todd Eury about the direct to patient market (Direct to Consumer, DTC) expected to hit $21 billion this year. Pharmacy is evolving fast. When DTC brands move in, pharmacies have a choice...compete or collaborate. Some manufacturers are selling directly to patients at discounted cash prices and cutting out traditional intermediaries. The model is projected to grow 9% a year through 2030, with pharma support services expected to nearly double from $3.2B to $5.7B by 2030. Driven by cost pressure and new legislation, manufacturers are moving quickly. It is creating more transparency but patients still need guidance, trust, and human care. Pharmacy is being redefined as the bridge that keeps care personal, safe, and local. It is not being replaced, but what will it look like in 10 years? What's going to separate the winners from everyone else in 2026? Are you focusing on the fundamentals that actually move the needle? In this conversation with our returning guest, Mike Riccio of More Than Miles Consulting, we discuss why success in this market comes down to trust, execution, and relationships, not chasing every shiny opportunity! We also cover utilizing technology as a tool, the importance of knowing your cost to serve, so you can stop selling yourself into the ground, why disciplined pricing and clear deadlines for unprofitable accounts are critical for a volatile 2026 cycle, strengthening carrier relationships through consistent communication, honest lane reviews, and building trust so capacity doesn't disappear when the market tightens. Welcome to Why Music Matters, a podcast where we examine the power and influence that music can wield in our lives. I'm your host, Jeff Miers. Today, my guest is podcaster and Western New York music historian Greg Hennessey. Through his weekly podcast, In the Flamingo Lounge with Rockabilly Greg, Hennessey shines a necessary light on Buffalo music, celebrating our region's rich musical history, and honoring the best of the current generation of bands and artists living and working in Western New York. Greg served on the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame's Board of Trustees for 11 years, and is currently the Vice President of the Sportsmens Americana Music Foundation board. That's where I got to know Greg, in my role as executive director of the SAM Foundation. Congress is 43 days into the government shutdown, severely disrupting air traffic control, but hope rises as eight Senate Democrats vote to advance an end to the standoff. Mike McCormick, former Vice President of the FAA's Air Traffic Organization, discusses how the shutdown has led to many issues that are exacerbating an already understaffed system, then he shares his insights on how to rebuild the controller pipeline, and the challenges of restoring normal operations before the holiday travel season. The FDA is removing its long-standing boxed warning from hormone-based menopause drugs, a change that could reshape treatment for millions of women. For years, warnings about heart attack, stroke, and dementia discouraged many from using the therapy despite its benefits for hot flashes and other symptoms. Dr. Dorothy Fink, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health & Women's Health at the Department of Health and Human Services, joins the Rundown to explain what led to the FDA's decision, the science behind Hormone Replacement Therapy, and why women's health issues associated with menopause deserve more attention. In every industry, true leadership isn't about recognition—it's about service. In pet care, that spirit shows up in those who give their time, share their experience, and create space for others to grow. Few embody that better than Deanna Schaar and Cathy Vaughan of the Texas Pet Sitters Association. What began as a small meet-up in a boarding facility has become one of the most beloved conferences in pet care—an annual, volunteer-led non-profit event that draws attendees from across the country. They share how early chaos and tech mishaps shaped their approach, how they find and support speakers, and why community—not competition—is their secret sauce. From health and wellness sessions to industry-wide collaboration, this conversation celebrates the heart and humility behind real leadership. Main topics: Starting a grassroots conference Building a non-profit association Learning from early mistakes Finding and supporting speakers Creating community and belonging Main takeaway: "We don't have egos—this isn't about getting on stage. It's about doing whatever needs to be done to help others." That line sums up the heart of the Texas Pet Sitters Association. Deanna Schaar and Cathy Vaughan didn't set out to build a conference for recognition—they built it for connection. Over 11 years, they've created a place where pet sitters learn, laugh, and lean on each other. Their story is a reminder that the best leaders lift others first. Because in both business and life, anything worth building takes time, energy, and people. Setting aside your ego and letting others shine is what truly propels whatever you're trying to grow. About our guests: Deanna Schaar is the owner of Deanna's Dog House, offering in-home dog boarding in Texas. A founding member and current Vice President of the Texas Pet Sitters Association, she is passionate about community education and support for fellow pet sitters. Cathy Vaughan owns Cathy's Critter Care in San Antonio and serves as President of the Association. Together, they lead a volunteer non-profit that hosts an annual conference fostering professional development, networking, and friendship for pet care providers nationwide. Links:

From a Curious Teen to a Confident Voice in Creation ScienceBorn a Buckeye near Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Georgia Purdom grew up in public school where she got a solid education — but something was missing. The classroom instruction didn't point to the Bible, and the lessons never once started with Scripture. Even as a teenager, Georgia knew she wanted more than just academics — she wanted truth grounded in God's Word. That desire led her to Cedarville University, a Christian college nestled in the heart of Ohio, where she graduated in 1994 with a degree in biology. It wasn't just the labs and lectures that shaped her — it was the biblical worldview woven into every subject. One Truth That Changed EverythingYears later, on a return visit to Cedarville's campus, Georgia had a moment that would shape the rest of her career. She realized the truth that death didn't exist before sin — a foundational biblical principle — and it struck her deeply. That idea, rooted in Scripture, turned her thinking upside down and lit a fire in her heart. If you start with the Bible, everything — from science to society — makes a whole lot more sense. From the Lab to the Lens of ScriptureToday, Dr. Purdom serves as the Vice President of Educational Content at Answers in Genesis, where she's not only teaching others but also defending the faith with a scientist's eye and a believer's heart. She serves as an expert on Answers News, a video YouTube program, where current events and scientific discoveries are unpacked through the lens of Scripture. Whether she's diving into debates about evolution or discussing the impact of artificial intelligence, she brings clarity by always starting with God's Word. Why She Believes What She Believes — and Helps Others Do the SameHer work is about more than sharing facts — it's about helping people understand why they believe what they believe. Georgia knows that the world throws a thousand messages at Christians every day, but her advice is simple and steady: Go back to the Bible. It speaks to every challenge we face, even the ones wrapped in modern-day tech and culture.Recently, she sat down with the Cedarville Stories podcast to share her journey — how a curious young girl from Ohio became a leading voice in creation science. Her path hasn't always been easy, but it's always been purposeful. Every step grounded in truth. Every message rooted in Scripture. And if Georgia Purdom has learned anything along the way, it's this: When you build your life on God's Word, you never walk alone — and you're always on solid ground.https://share.transistor.fm/s/013d7b33https://youtu.be/aUTjITArw6M
Jaime Hunt sits down with Joseph Brennan, Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Montclair State University, for a raw and riveting conversation on what it really means to counsel a university president. With over three decades in higher ed and experience advising 13 university presidents, Brennan shares how the role of CMO has evolved from tactician to trusted strategic advisor—and why communication professionals must develop executive presence, business fluency, and emotional intelligence to lead in today's high-pressure environment.Guest Name: Joseph A. Brennan, Vice President for Marketing and Communications, Montclair State UniversityGuest Social: https://www.linkedin.com/in/drjoebrennan/Guest Bio: Joseph A. Brennan is Vice President for Communications & Marketing at Montclair State University, where he's proven that authentic storytelling works. He and his team have built a warm and genuine brand and brought it to life with narratives delivered across paid, earned, social and owned media, and designed innovative, data-driven campaigns that produced ROAS of nearly 7 to 1. Their award winning work has contributed to record enrollment for 4 successive years. Over three decades as a higher education communications and marketing executive, Joe has learned to put people first, because when team members feel seen and respected, they produce outstanding results. He's counseled 13 presidents, navigated major crises from international social media incidents to nationally publicized controversies, and directed high profile statewide campaigns to influence higher education policy in two states, but he's equally passionate about the quieter daily work of building teams where people want to stay and grow. His leadership philosophy? Treat mistakes as learning opportunities, not firing offenses. Create psychological safety so that innovation can flourish. Use humor appropriately. Show up as a whole human being, not just a job title. Meet people where they are, not where you think they should be. This approach extends beyond the office. Joe is a registered yoga teacher and meditation guide who believes mindfulness practices make leaders more effective, not less focused. He's currently earning his executive coaching certification, building on years of mentoring colleagues through career transitions and workplace challenges. Joe's mission is simple: help leaders create workplaces where talented people thrive, not just survive. When people feel valued and supported, everything else gets better. He's authored nearly 20 articles, been elected to the PRSA College of Fellows, and won national awards for "public relations campaign of the year" and "best website overhaul." - - - -Connect With Our Host:Jaime Hunthttps://www.linkedin.com/in/jaimehunt/https://twitter.com/JaimeHuntIMCAbout The Enrollify Podcast Network:Confessions of a Higher Ed CMO is a part of the Enrollify Podcast Network. Assessing European Reliability in Countering the China Threat to Taiwan. Steve Yates discusses how Europe's reliability in defending Taiwan is questioned, despite the Taiwan Vice President addressing the EU Parliament. Europe has historically lacked a significant defense footprint in East Asia. China exploits the narrative of European colonial history and decline to separate Europe from Taiwan. Although some European leaders prioritize economic opportunity with Beijing, reliable economic partners like Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan offer strong strategic and economic ballast against the risks posed by the People's Republic of China. 1905 shanghai
Behind every medical breakthrough for kids is usually a long history of research advances. Research is incremental, and new therapies exist, thanks to questions that are asked in science laboratories. Those investigators not only asked the hard questions but also found the funding to answer them. What happens when that funding starts to disappear? Research drives progress in pediatric medicine from vaccines to breakthrough treatments for rare diseases. That progress is currently at risk. Cuts and cancellations in key federal research programs, including CDC and NIH funding, threaten to stall discoveries and disproportionately impact pediatric investigators. In this episode, we dig into what's happening with child health research funding, why it matters for every pediatrician, and where the greatest opportunities for advocacy lie. For this episode, we are joined by two experts at the forefront of this conversation. Joe St. Geme, MD, is the Physician in Chief at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as the President of the CHOP Practice Association. He is also a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. Zach Zaslow is the Vice President of Advocacy and Community Health at Children's Hospital Colorado. Some highlights from this episode include: The status of pediatric research funding How pediatric research directly impacts community pediatricians What current threats exist How providers can advocate for their patients and families For more information on Children's Colorado, visit: childrenscolorado.org.
Description: Tune in for this very special #JenHatmakerBookClub episode where Jen gives unprecedented access to look behind the scenes at her own writing process and collaboration that went into the publishing of “Awake”. For today's conversation, Jen sits down with Vice President and Editorial Director for Avid Reader Press, Lauren Wein, to delve into the journey of bringing Jen's book "Awake" to the page and all the way to the New York Times bestseller list. Jen discusses the profound impact of trusting your own intuition in your writing along with the challenges in memoir-writing of prioritizing authenticity and vulnerability while honoring the privacy for those involved. Lauren pulls back the curtain on the collaborative nature of the editing process, describing the satisfaction she finds with helping authors find their voice. And Jen shares the one truth she hopes every reader of “Awake” walks away with. Anyone who is interested in writing, or the behind-the-scenes or book-making will enjoy this episode. Whether you're a writer or a reader, this conversation offers a unique glimpse into the creative process and the power of storytelling. Thought-provoking Quotes: “One of the things that Awake is about is learning to trust yourself and trusting your body. I feel like that is how I edit. It's like a tuning fork. I sense when something is like, need more or need less. It's physical.” – Lauren Wein “Every story deserves authenticity.” – Jen Hatmaker “In the war of ‘you versus you', nobody wins, because you're very hard on yourself. You have a very critical inner voice. When you hear somebody tell you something that you maybe sensed about yourself but you didn't quite know, it ignites something, it confirms something that maybe you sensed was there but the voice was too small because the other voices were just louder.” – Lauren Wein “Finding your voice is a journey.” – Lauren Wein “When this book was first announced, it was erroneously referred to as a tell-all, which was upsetting to all of us because that is absolutely not what it is. What was very important to you (Jen) was honesty, not telling it all, but being truthful and respecting other people's privacy. Now that is the hardest line to walk when you're writing your own story because your own story is not your own story entirely.” – Lauren Wein "Trust your intuition in creative work." – Jen Hatmaker Resources Mentioned in This Episode: For the parents who are slogging through May – https://jenhatmaker.com/blog/for-the-parents-who-are-slogging-through-may/ Margaret Riley King - https://www.wmebookdepartment.com/team/margaret-riley-king/ Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, HER Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed by Lori Gottleib - https://amzn.to/4pUADj8 Wild Game: My Mother, Her Secret, and Me by Adrienne Brodeur - https://amzn.to/4nywiRc Becoming Duchess Goldblatt by Anonymous - https://amzn.to/4o6rHpt Awake by Jen Hatmaker audiobook - https://amzn.to/4gU7v7P Lights on a Similar Path: ‘Awake' Readers Reflect On Finding Their Way - https://jenhatmaker.com/podcasts/series-64/lights-on-a-similar-path-awake-readers-reflect-on-finding-their-way/ Guest's Links: Website - https://editors.simonandschuster.com/editor/wein-lauren/ Twitter - https://x.com/desideratasaur Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/lauren.wein.1/ Connect with Jen!Jen's Website - https://jenhatmaker.com/ Jen's Instagram - https://instagram.com/jenhatmakerJen's Twitter - https://twitter.com/jenHatmaker/ Jen's Facebook - https://facebook.com/jenhatmakerJen's YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/user/JenHatmaker The For the Love Podcast is presented by Audacy.
