This is Part 2 of our Annual Strategic Planning Series. Last week we reflected on 2025. This week, we look forward to 2026 and make a decision about who we are becoming, what we are creating, and how we will achieve maximum success and fulfillment. In this episode, I walk you through: How to intentionally design 2026, instead of letting it happen by accident. Why choosing your ONE WORD for the year is a non-negotiable. The shift from what you need to do to who you must become. How raising your daily standards changes everything. We also talk about how I'm personally structuring my year and why fewer, clearer priorities lead to more focus and fulfillment. We dive into practical frameworks, including: Creating daily non-negotiables, as winners don't negotiate with themselves. Building a calendar that reflects your true priorities. Avoiding and eliminating energy leaks and distractions that drain your momentum. Upgrading your environment, your inputs, and the people around you. Installing weekly and quarterly review systems so you fall to your systems, not your excuses. Lastly, I want to challenge you with "10" powerful questions that will frame your entire 2026 year, including: What would a 10-out-of-10 year in 2026 look like? Who must I become to deserve the life I say I want? What habits must be installed, eliminated, or reinforced? What am I willing to say 'no' to so I can say 'yes' to living my best life? Where do I need more discipline—and where do I need more grace? What would my future-self thank me for if I started this habit or action-step today?     Weird and wonderful fitness races and challenges have been around for a while. Over the years, CrossFit has created a sport that provides the variety and spectacle we see in other sports, but now we are seeing many more styles of fitness races becoming very popular. Hyrox has gained a significant amount of momentum over the last couple of years and still seems to be on the way up. Athx is trying to create an event that sits somewhere between Hyrox and CrossFit, providing a one hour fitness race like Hyrox, spread across three different workouts that test strength, endurance and mixed modal fitness like CrossFit. Over the years, we have also seen different organisations and coaching companies create their own type of fitness race, such as the OPTathlon from OPT, now OPEX, and The Crucible from Complete Human Performance. In this episode, we talk about some of the key differences between these events, where they might complement each other, and what one type of event or race could learn from another.
