LISA EDELSTEIN - From her role as Dr. Lisa Cuddy on the hit Fox series “House” to her star turn as Abby McCarthy in Bravo's first scripted series “Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce,” Lisa Edelstein's range of roles are as diverse as her talent. “Girlfriends' Guide” is a dramedy following a best-selling author of a self-help series who separates from her husband and must navigate big career changes and the dating world as a newly single mother. Edelstein also starred in the Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and AFI Award-winning Netflix series “The Kominsky Method,” starring Michael Douglas and created by Chuck Lorre. Edelstein plays Phoebe, the drug-addled hot mess daughter of Alan Arkin's character. In addition, she juggled an arc on Ryan Murphy's “911: Lonestar” which reunites her with her “West Wing” paramour, Rob Lowe. She portrayed his call-girl girlfriend on the show. GINA TORRES - Gina Torres has spent the past thirty years establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with, both on and off the screen. With her fan-favorite character of Jessica Pearson on USA Network's hit original series “Suits,” Torres broke boundaries when, in 2019, she became the first Afro-Latina to create, star in and produce a TV series, “Pearson,” which saw Jessica take on the world of Chicago politics. The role was a life changing one, earning Torres an ALMA Award, an Imagen Award (as well as multiple additional Imagen nominations), and the National Hispanic Media Coalition's Award for Outstanding Performance in a Television Series and the Visionary Award from the LA Femme Film Festival. Currently, Torres can be seen on FOX's “9-1-1: Lone Star,” portraying paramedic captain Tommy Vega, who answered a call to action and returned to work amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Greig Fraser, ACS, ASC, (born 3 October 1975) is an Australian cinematographer who studied at the RMIT University. His most well-known work includes the films Zero Dark Thirty (2012), Lion (2016), Rogue One (2016), Vice (2018), Dune (2021), The Batman (2022) and The Creator (2023). For his short film Cracker Bag he was nominated for Best Cinematography at the 2003 AFI Awards. For his work on Lion, he won the American Society of Cinematographers Award for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography in Theatrical Releases and AACTA Award for Best Cinematography and received Academy Award and BAFTA Award nominations. Fraser shot Rogue One on the Arri Alexa 65 large format digital camera and Panavision lenses from the 1970s, making it the first feature film shot entirely with the Alexa 65. Fraser said of working with the Alexa 65, "The images are sharper and have more resolution, and those things are an advantage, but for me it is about the depth of the image -- there is a three-dimensionality to it. Often the beauty came from the texture; we found that the camera excelled when we were filming something with texture; it really enhanced the quality of picture." Fraser returned to the Star Wars franchise with the 2019 television series The Mandalorian. In 2020, for his work on the series, Fraser won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series (Half-Hour). For his work on Dune he won his first Academy Award for Best Cinematography in 2022. Fraser said a feature of his work in that film was intentionally using simple compositions, "We tried to simplify the frames as much as we could. By doing that, we've been able to give the viewers that absorption of story and experience" and colour palette: "We tried quite hard to make sure that it all sat within a certain tone."

The Wolf Of Wall StreetThe Wolf Of Wall Street Full Book Introduction This book is a memoir of a man who was once known as “The Wolf of Wall Street.” At one point, Jordan Belfort made a whopping $12 million in just three minutes. Forbes magazine called him “a twisted version of Robin Hood” in the stock market. He was later sentenced to prison for having swindled investors out of approximately $200 million. Through Belfort's revelation of his life's trajectory, we get a glimpse into the dazzling world of power, greed and excess. Author : Jordan BelfortJordan Belfort is a former stockbroker who built his career from nothing and became a multimillionaire by the age of 31. He once made a whopping $12 million in just three minutes. With his silver tongue and little conscience, he established himself as a prominent figure of Wall Street. He has been described as a passionate speaker, a cunning profit maker, and a helpless drug addict. His merciless business style earned him the title “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Overview | Chapter 1Hi, welcome to bookey. Today we will unlock the book The Wolf of Wall Street. It was 1998 in a luxury house on the coast of Long Island. The smell of cigarette smoke and alcohol hung over the place. Young men and women were dancing like there was no tomorrow. It was a lavish party. Suddenly, people heard the wail of a siren. Policemen entered the house, walked straight up to Jordan Belfort and handcuffed him. Belfort was once a prominent stockbroker of Wall Street, infamously known as what Forbes called the “twisted version of Robin Hood,” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” within the Wall Street circle. Born and raised in an ordinary family, Belfort has no academic background in finance. However, he was able to establish himself in the capital-driven world within a very short time. Through despicable schemes, he was able to make $12 million effortlessly in just three minutes. By the age of 31, Belfort was already a multimillionaire. But at 36, he was arrested on federal fraud charges. How did Belfort accomplish this primitive capital accumulation within such a short time? And how did he end up in jail, redeem himself later, and even get his life story on the big screen? The Wolf of Wall Street is more than just an autobiography. Rather, it's an intriguing story of mindset transformation. Belfort was encouraged by a fellow prisoner to write this book in jail. While he was in jail reflecting on his past, the outside world was still perturbed by what he had done. Several publishers competed to get the rights to publish his book. Later, Hollywood showed interest in making this book into a movie. It was reported that Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio competed to play the role of Belfort in the film of the same name. Leonardo DiCaprio got the role in the end, and the film was a blockbuster, grossing several hundreds of millions of dollars. It was nominated for several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Picture, and was also selected as one of the top 10 Movies of the Year at the 14th AFI Awards. What makes the difference between a financial magnate and the average Joe investor? Are they born rich and tenacious? Are they always successful and do they never fail? We'll find out the answers by following the foot steps of Belfort, a Wall Street's legendary figure whose life was once defined by greed, sex, and drugs. We'll unlock this book in the following four parts. Part 1: The making of a business genius. Part 2: Founding his own firm and making a mint. Part 3: Fighting against the FBI. Part 4: Self-redemption.

“Alicia Maree Malone is a Film Reporter, TV Host, Producer, Writer, Editor, and all around film geek. She developed her taste for film at a young age, spending many a heady Friday night pajama-clad at the video store, picking out her 7 films for 7 days for $7. Bargain! While at school she created a Film Club, electing herself President. Eventually the School Principal asked her not to get up in assembly to talk about movies anymore. The day after graduating high school, Alicia moved to Sydney and got a job at a video store, where she took to advising customers of the correct movie choices, whether it was asked for or not. Soon, she scored a position at the TV station Channel Seven, where she stayed for 6 years in a variety of production roles. After responding to an ad for a job at cable TV station Movie Network Channels, Alicia took up a role as host, producer and editor. There she created and fronted several movie-related shows, including Movie Juice and Premiere, and hosted live red carpet events for the AFI Awards and Tropfest Short Film Festival. Alicia was also seen weekly on the national breakfast show The Morning Show as their movie expert, was heard talking about films on radio station Triple M, and her written reviews were published in Filmink Magazine. In late 2010 Alicia quit everything, packed two suitcases and moved to Hollywood to chase her dreams in the film capital of the world….” Bio continued on https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4435291/bio You can find Alicia's Amazon page here to shop her books: https://www.amazon.com/stores/author/B001K83468 WHO ARE WE? "The quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the company is true." Galadriel's last words to the fellowship before it all but came apart at the seems. We're still going along the Lord of the Ring train tracks onto part two of this amazing trilogy. We are of course talking about The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. "The sequel to the Golden Globe-nominated and AFI Award-winning "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Two Towers" follows the continuing quest of Frodo (Elijah Wood) and the Fellowship to destroy the One Ring. Frodo and Sam (Sean Astin) discover they are being followed by the mysterious Gollum. Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), the Elf archer Legolas and Gimli the Dwarf encounter the besieged Rohan kingdom, whose once great King Theoden has fallen under Saruman's deadly spell." What happens now that the fellowship has all but dissolved, and all of our companions are pretty much separated? Frodo & Sam make a frenemy, who they aren't sure they can trust, but is taking them much further than they anticipated. Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are on the hunt for the Uruk's who have taken Merry and Pippin. Plus the awesome battle at Helm's Deep! This might be the most exciting of the three films! Joining us from Oklahoma City are brothers, rappers and actors known as Lil Mike and Funny Bone, who received national recognition after their viral performance on America's Got Talent in 2013 where they showcased their Indigenous heritage through their original rap song “Do The Rain Dance” that wowed the judges and audiences alike.    As of last fall, the pair have recurred as the equally hilarious and talented brothers Mose and Mekko on the hit FX on Hulu comedy series Reservation Dogs which, while snubbed at the Emmys, won the AFI Award, Independent Spirit Award, Peabody Award and Gotham Award for its premiere season. The two chat with us about their initial rejection for America's Got Talent, and the eventual straight offer to appear on the show nearly a decade ago, as well as their experience working on Reservation Dogs and the series' immense impact for Indigenous representation in entertainment.   It was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic that the two first received word about the upcoming series pilot casting from their managers after their concert tour dates were canceled and they were on the lookout for their next booking. They shared that after looking at the script, the characters were not what they initially expected, “They were eleven-year old kids!” Lil Mike shared. “Their lines had cuss words in them, so we asked ‘can we change this up a little? And these jokes aren't really funny enough.' And [casting] said ‘make it your own!'” And they did exactly that, asking their brother to read the other lines and send in their audition tape to casting, and quickly received an offer.   To find out more of their journey with Reservation Dogs, watch the full interview above, or listen on your favorite podcast platform.   Reservation Dogs streams new episodes Tuesdays on Hulu under the FX on Hulu content hub.

An actor whose career on the stage, film and television is approaching half a century and still going strong, Simon Burke burst onto the scene in the highly acclaimed Devil's Playground at the age of 13. He won the AFI Award for Best Actor for that performance – still to this day the youngest person to receive that honour. His career since has included appearances on television which are embedded in the Australian psyche – from The Sullivans through to Rake and everything in between, including the remarkable Brides of Christ, and of course Play School. He has a long list of stage credits here and overseas, in both straight and musical theatre – as Marius in the original Australian run of Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera on the West End, and other musical theatre mainstays such as The Sound of Music and A Little Night Music. He's currently in what could be regarded as the hottest show in town, appearing as Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, playing now at the Capitol Theatre.

Career Q&A with Joel Edgerton. Moderated by Jenelle Riley, Variety. Joel Edgerton currently stars as John Connolly in BLACK MASS alongside Johnny Depp. He was honored for his performance as Tom Buchanan in “The Great Gatsby,” Baz Luhrmann's 2013 screen adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel. Edgerton won Australian Film Institute (AFI) and Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) Awards and was nominated for an Australian Film Critics Association Award, all in the category of Best Supporting Actor. Edgerton more recently directed, wrote, produced and starred in the psychological thriller “The Gift,” also starring Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall. The independent film delivered tremendously, with a 93% Rotten Tomatoes score and an opening weekend of $12 million. He also starred opposite Christian Bale in Ridley Scott's biblical epic “Exodus: Gods and Kings.” Edgerton's upcoming credits include starring roles in Jeff Nichols' sci-fi thriller “Midnight Special,” and Gavin O'Connor's Western “Jane Got a Gun,” with Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor. He is currently reunited with Nichols on the fact-based drama “Loving,” about the couple whose challenge to Virginia's interracial marriage ban led to a landmark Supreme Court case. In 2012, Edgerton gained international attention with his role in Kathryn Bigelow's award winning true-life drama “Zero Dark Thirty.” That same year, he starred opposite Jennifer Garner in Peter Hedges' “The Odd Life of Timothy Green,” and in “Wish You Were Here,” winning an FCCA Award for Best Actor. His other recent film credits include the drama “Felony,” which he also wrote and produced and which premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival; Gavin O'Connor's drama “Warrior,” with Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte; the horror thriller “The Thing,” the prequel to John Carpenter's cult classic; and David Michôd's “Animal Kingdom,” for which he won AFI and FCCA Awards for Best Supporting Actor. Edgerton had earlier starred in such films as “The Square,” directed by his brother Nash Edgerton; the Australian feature “Acolytes”; “Whisper,” with Josh Holloway”; the crime thriller “Smokin' Aces”; the drag comedy “Kinky Boots”; and George Lucas's blockbusters “Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones” and “Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” playing the young Owen Lars, who would become Uncle Owen to Luke Skywalker. He also lent his voice to Zack Snyder's animated feature “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole” and the Oscar nominated animated short “The Mysterious Geographic Explorations of Jasper Morello,” performing the title role. Born in New South Wales, Australia, Edgerton attended the Nepean Drama School in western Sydney. He went on to appear in various stage productions, most notably with the Sydney Theatre Company in “Blackrock,” “Third World Blues” and “Love for Love”; and the Bell Shakespeare, where he appeared in “Henry IV.” In 2009, he returned to the stage to star as Stanley Kowalski, alongside Cate Blanchett's Blanche DuBois, in the Sydney Theatre Company's acclaimed production of “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The pair also performed the play to sold-out audiences at the Kennedy Center in November of that year, followed by a run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in December. On Australian television, he is known for playing the role of Will in the long-running series “The Secret Life of Us,” for which he was nominated for an AFI Award.

Episode 43 of The Blank Canvas Podcast with Stacy Rukeyser Stacy Rukeyser is behind current Netflix hit series SEX LIFE, which in its first 10 days was in their “Top 10 List” in 92 countries. A month later and it’s still lighting up social media with likes of the Kim Kardashian tweeting about it just before this chat. The last year has presented plenty of challenges to make TV drama, but the upside for the likes of Netflix has been huge captive audiences locked in at home and binging on escapist entertainment. Stacy is the creator, showrunner and executive producer of SEX/LIFE, which was inspired by BB Easton’s book, 44 Chapters About 4 Men. Prior to this series, Stacy served as the showrunner & EP of the acclaimed series UnREAL, which scored a 2016 Primetime Emmy Award nom for ‘Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series’ and won an AFI Award for ‘TV Program of the Year’. Her previous TV writing credits include the Golden Globe winning WITHOUT A TRACE, CRASH, ONE TREE HILL, OCTOBER ROAD, STANDOFF, GREEK and THE LYING GAME. Stacy’s an old mate of mine from when I lived in LA 20 years ago, I watched her transition from frustrated actor to aspiring writer. I vividly remember reading her first spec scripts and thinking, yup, she’s the real deal. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0749993/ https://www.instagram.com/littleruke/ https://twitter.com/littleruke W: https://theblankcanvaspodcast.com.au/ IG: https://www.instagram.com/leerogers12/ SOCIALS Insta: @theblankcanvaspodcast FB - The Blank Canvas Podcast Twitter: @blankcanvaspod THE BLANK CANVAS TEAM Produced by Lee Rogers & Rien MacDonald. Episode 23 of The Blank Canvas with Kat Stewart. Making a career in the performing arts is notoriously challenging but in this case the cream has certainly risen to the top. Kat Stewart's searing performance as Roberta Williams in the iconic first TV series of UNDERBELLY, planted her into our collective consciousness. Kat received both the 2008 AFI Award for Best Lead Actress and the 2009 Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress. Whether comedy, drama or anything in between, the incredible performances and accolades have followed ever since, however Kat is probably best known for her AACTA Award winning portrayal of Billie Proudman in the TV phenomenon - Offspring. Aside from being a lovely human and charming conversationalist, this is an inspiring career change story; Kat completed a degree in marketing and arts and was working as full time publicist for publisher Penguin Books. Unable to shake the acting bug from some university theatre she dabbled in, she studied acting at night after work for 3 years, eventually getting her confidence up to taking the plunge into that arena. "There are some people that have just driven by an innate self-belief, I'm driven by a lot of self doubt, but it means that I work really hard because I do think that I can fail at any second. You know, every time I take on a job, I think, oh shit. I don't know if I can pull this off. Every character you starting from ground zero, but in a way that's the greatest thing, the fear and the trepidation is a respect for the task at hand.” Kat’s latest hit TV series is FIVE BEDROOMS which is produced by Hoodlum. Series Two is returning to Network 10 in 2021. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1830811/ https://www.instagram.com/kat_stewy/ W: https://theblankcanvaspodcast.com.au/ W: https://leerogers.com.au/ SOCIALS Insta: @theblankcanvaspodcast FB - The Blank Canvas Podcast Twitter: @blankcanvaspod THE BLANK CANVAS TEAM Produced by Lee Rogers & Rien MacDonald.
