Send us a textWhat if entrepreneurial success didn't have to come at the expense of your health, relationships, and happiness? Michael Erath, founder and CEO of Next Level Growth, challenges conventional business wisdom with a revolutionary approach born from personal experience. After watching his manufacturing business crumble when his partner embezzled half a million dollars in 2008, Erath rebuilt from nothing to create a thriving consultancy with a powerful "just cause" - entrepreneurs deserve more than just financial returns; they deserve a meaningful return on life.Through his work with hundreds of businesses, Erath has identified five core obsessions that separate elite organizations from the rest: great people, inspiring purpose, optimized playbooks, a culture of performance, and growing profits and cash flow. Unlike prescriptive operating systems that force companies into rigid molds, these principles provide a flexible framework that adapts to each organization's unique culture and goals."Most entrepreneurs achieve ROI at the expense of their friendships, family time, physical health, and emotional health," Erath explains. "With the risk they take and the leverage they have to take on, it doesn't seem fair." His firm tackles this injustice by guiding business leaders through customized growth strategies that prevent common pitfalls like outgrowing early-stage talent, failing to document crucial processes, or treating financial success as merely a byproduct. What truly sets Next Level Growth apart is their commitment to practicing what they preach. They require no contracts, take all financial risk in new relationships, and only get paid if clients find value - resulting in relationships lasting nearly a decade and an impressive Net Promoter Score of 81.Whether you're struggling to scale beyond current limitations or simply want to reclaim your life from a business that's become a prison, Erath's five obsessions framework offers a path forward that honors both your ambitions and your wellbeing. Discover how to build an elite organization without sacrificing what matters most. Thanks for tuning in to this episode of Follow The Brand! What makes customers choose your business over countless alternatives? After a recent trip with my 16-year-old daughter, I had a powerful reminder for you and your business so it will ACTUALLY be successful.
In over 175 episodes since launching this podcast, I've never had a repeat guest, until now.I'm excited to welcome back David Marks.David and I met in 2020, when I created a local STL Facebook group to support businesses during Covid — while I was still in medical device sales. He was one of the first people I interviewed. That video is still floating around YouTube, and it's wild to see how far we've come.Since then, he's supported me nonstop. He attended my first business event in 2021, was member #1 when we launched BOA in 2023, and has been a 1-1 coaching client and mastermind member.Last year, I had him on the podcast and it was a great episode.A few weeks ago, he asked to come back and share his firsthand BOA journey. I immediately said yes.David is the perfect example of what we teach at BOA, and I'm grateful he's sharing his story.David's Bio:My entrepreneurial story starts in Sep 2008 when I bought a “Garage With A House In The Front Yard.” In Dec 2009, I began working part-time, and by May 2011, what started with ZERO customers became a full-time business. In 2013, I added Used Auto Sales — people liked buying cars from a trusted technician. In 2016, I joined SCORE & the SBDC to learn how to become a true business owner. (Anyone can be a backyard mechanic — not everyone is a business owner.)In 2018, I launched Used Car Detective to inspect vehicles before purchase. By March 2019, I expanded to a 3-bay full-service facility in Maryland Heights, which allowed me to grow all three businesses: Quality Auto Repair And Tire, Quality Auto Sales, and Used Car Detective. To manage it all, I created DSM Auto Family, LLC.My businesses continue to grow with one core belief:People won't work with you if they don't feel appreciated. We live that out by providing trusted service every day.Connect with David:Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/davidscottmarks LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidsmarks/ Business Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/qualityautorepairandtireautosales Website: https://www.qualityautorepairtireautosales.com/ Personal Website: https://qualityautodave.com/ Builders of Authority:FREE Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/7685392924809322 BOA Mastermind: https://buildauthority.co/order-form-mastermind GoHighLevel Extended 30-day Free Trial w/TONS of Personal Branding Bonuses: http://gohighlevel.com/adammcchesney
One of the most powerful things I learned in sales was the transfer of energy. Now, I didn't start off that way. When I first started cold calling and selling advertising for 918moms.com, I had a script and I awkwardly tried to remember it word for word when I was selling to potential clients. It was brutal and it didn't feel authentic to me. One day I decided to ditch the script and just be myself. Guess what happened? Sales started to close. I got more comfortable and actually started to love talking to new people about their marketing. The key here is TALK vs. SELL. I decided to take the pressure off myself and just walk in and have a conversation about how I could help them solve their marketing problems. That is when I discovered I was able to transfer my ENERGY and passion for marketing onto the prospect and it worked! I love marketing and I have seen time and time again where it can change people's business which often changes their lives if it is done right! I began to get more confident and was able to transfer my energy which closed more deals. Are you selling from a place of fear or pressure to get the deal? That nervousness is probably coming through to the person on the other side turning them off. Check out the latest episode of the DO IT MY WAY Podcast where I share my tips on how to transfer your energy to your team, a potential client, even your spouse!

Justin Bieber BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Justin Bieber has been making headlines on multiple fronts over the past several days, blending music releases, business chess moves, relationship rumors, and trademark social media ambiguity. The biggest news is the July 11th release of his new album Swag, his first studio effort in four years, which critics and fans are already calling a mature, candid reflection on his turbulent last few years. In tracks like Walking Away and Daisies, Justin openly addresses the complexities of his seven-year marriage to Hailey Bieber and the personal challenges he has faced, with intimate lyrics reaffirming his commitment to their relationship. Though tabloid rumors suggested marital trouble, Justin quietly but pointedly shut them down last week, posting a series of affectionate, PDA-filled vacation photos on Instagram with Hailey, prompting Elle Magazine to declare Bieber was sending a “subtle message” about the couple's continued unity.Professionally, talk of a comeback tour is swirling fiercely online and across radio in Australia, where 6PR Perth's hosts fueled speculation about imminent tour dates following Swag's debut. While major outlets like Rolling Stone and the official promoter Frontier Touring say nothing is confirmed on the touring front, the consensus is that Bieber announcing dates would be standard post-release practice and sources close to him admit performing live is something he craves and needs. However, as of now, this remains in the realm of speculation and rumor, not official announcement. On the business side, The Economic Times reports that Bieber is working to settle a $31.5 million debt to Scooter Braun's Hybe company, relying on proceeds from wife Hailey's pending, billion-dollar sale of her Rhode beauty business. He's expected to net around $50 million from that deal, enough to clear his obligations and reportedly secure ownership of his music masters, a coup for any recording artist. The sale is anticipated to finalize within a couple of months, but Justin's spokesperson insists his finances and Hailey's business are entirely separate.Bieber's mental health has once again become public talk. Despite Justin reassuring fans that he's found his “swag” again and is on the mend, insiders tell Marca and Page Six that he still wrestles with internal struggles, heightened by fame's relentless pressure. Support appears to come from his wife, a tight inner circle, and his faith. Social media watchdogs are on high alert after a cryptic Instagram post referencing DMX's “clean living,” which TMZ interpreted as hinting at ongoing substance use, though Bieber's representatives have consistently denied rumors of hard drug use.In his quieter but significant business moves, Bieber launched a fashion label called Skylrk, his second solo apparel project after Drew House, as confirmed by Living Life Fearless. And in Wall Street news, Bloomberg reports that royalties from Bieber's catalog—now partly managed by Recognition Music Group—are being packaged in a $372 million bond issuance that will include publishing rights from major pop stars. With Swag's release, potential blockbuster tours, marital resilience, and this swirl of headlines about money, health, and art, Justin Bieber remains as much a pop culture fixture as ever, constantly evolving under the unblinking public gaze.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Want To Quit Your Job In The Next 6-18 Months Through Buying Commercial Real Estate & Small Businesses?
Most people think branding starts with your logo. But it actually starts with you. This episode is all about how you can uncover what truly sets you apart by asking a few simple (but powerful) questions. You'll learn how to turn client feedback into messaging that actually resonates, and how to create a brand experience that makes people feel connected the moment they land on your site. I sat down with John Lee Dumas on his podcast, Entrepreneurs on Fire, to talk about what personal branding really means. Your Brand Is Built From the Inside Out Your brand is more than a logo or a tagline—it's your reputation, your essence, and how you make people feel. I share how my Greek family values shape the culture at brandiD and why infusing personality into your website is key to building trust online. If you want your brand to stand out, you need to start with what makes you, you. You Don't Have to Be an Extrovert to Be Visible Here's something that surprises a lot of people: most entrepreneurs are introverts. And that's not a weakness—it's a strength. In this episode, I share how I work with introverted founders to build brands that feel aligned, not performative. From getting clear on your values to identifying the platforms that actually work for you, visibility becomes much easier when you stop trying to be someone else. Enjoy this episode… Soundbytes 09:41 - 10:01 “When you've got confidence and passion about what you're doing, it's impossible not to talk about it with energy and with just an extroverted energy underneath it. Whenever I talk about the things that I love to do, it's impossible for me to be introverted.” 26:16 - 26:26 “No matter what revenue someone is making, or, you know, the level of visibility they have, we are all struggling with the same things at the end of the day.” Quotes “People always think a brand is just their logo, and it's not. Their brand is so much more than that.” “The last thing we want to help someone do is do something that they're uncomfortable with, because that's going to be inauthentic.” “It's okay to share some of those little hiccups that we all inevitably have as humans and business owners.” Links mentioned in this episode: Connect with brandiD Download our free guide to learn 16 crucial website updates that attract more leads and convert visitors into clients: https://thebrandid.com/website-tweaks/ Ready to elevate your digital presence with a powerful brand or website? Let's face it, whether you're looking for a new job, trying to stand out in your current role, or considering a career pivot, building a personality brand is a real game-changer (you read that right. A personality brand, not a personal one). In today's landscape, you need more than just experience; you need a personality that resonates. In this episode, Danielle Hughes, Chief Personality Officer at More Than Words Marketing, joins me to chat about why creating a personality brand isn't just about ‘selling' yourself.Danielle shares tips on how to confidently showcase your authentic self in your professional persona, particularly on platforms like LinkedIn. Whether you're pivoting careers or leveling up in your current role, branding is more important than ever. Tune in to hear how you can use your personality to stand out in the competitive job market and connect authentically with others. And just in case you're interested in working from beautiful homes all over the world, Danielle shares how she makes it happen.“Why is it a personality brand and not personal? Welcome to episode #993 of Six Pixels of Separation - The ThinkersOne Podcast. Angela Chee is a keynote speaker, media and communication coach, and author of The Power Of the Only – Own Your Voice, Thrive in Any Environment, a book that challenges us to rethink the spaces we occupy and the voices we often silence… especially our own. In this conversation, Angela explores what it means to truly “own your voice” in an era defined by visibility and vulnerability, noise and nuance. Angela speaks candidly about how being the “only” in the room (whether because of race, gender, background, or perspective) is not a disadvantage but a profound source of power and insight. We discuss the emotional tension of the spotlight effect, where the desire to be seen and the fear of judgment collide, and how discernment (not just visibility) becomes the essential skill for modern communication. Angela opens up about the importance of balancing authenticity with intention, and why the journey of discovering your voice is never really over. It's a practice, a reclaiming and a reshaping of self in response to a constantly shifting cultural landscape. We touch on the rise of AI, the tension of audience capture, the commodification of personality, and the difference between performance and presence. Angela's perspective is grounded in clarity and connection, and she brings both wisdom and structure to the chaos of today's media environment. Her Five Principles of The Power of the Only are not just a framework for communication, they're a roadmap for identity and leadership in uncertain times. This conversation is for anyone feeling overwhelmed by the demand to “show up” in public, who wonders if they're saying too much or not enough, or who is searching for the courage to take up space without apology. If you've ever felt like an outsider at work, in life, or even in your own skin, this episode reminds us that our difference isn't something to overcome. It's the very thing that makes us whole. Send us a textHave you ever wondered how the future arrives faster than anyone can predict it? Tech futurist Richie Etwaru joins us to explain why "futurists are out of work" in a world where technology adoption happens so rapidly that five-year predictions are tested within months.Richie breaks down why artificial intelligence has achieved unprecedented adoption rates, outpacing even the internet itself. The perfect storm of pre-existing infrastructure (mobile devices, internet connectivity), brilliant productization through simple interfaces, and our post-COVID appetite for technological advancement has catapulted AI into our daily lives with breathtaking speed. The most profound insight emerges when Richie explains the fundamental shift from deterministic to probabilistic computing. Since Newton's time, we've operated in a technological world where 1+1 always equals 2—precise, narrow, and certain. Now, probabilistic AI systems offer vastly expanded capabilities but without guarantees of consistent outputs. "We are trading off a high friction, perfect, narrow, deterministic experience with a low friction, wide, imperfect experience," he explains with remarkable clarity. Those concerned about AI "agents" taking over will find Richie's perspective refreshing. What appears as autonomous intelligence is actually just a probabilistic layer working between deterministic systems—a "model context protocol" that creates the perception of agency where none truly exists. This distinction helps ground our understanding of AI in reality rather than science fiction.Through his work with Mobius, Richie is reimagining user interfaces—transforming them from self-directed experiences to guided interactions that leverage AI capabilities. This shift creates "the perception of personhood" in digital experiences, fundamentally changing how we interact with digital content.Ready to navigate this new technological landscape with confidence? Listen now and discover how understanding the probabilistic nature of AI can help you thrive in this rapidly evolving digital world. Follow Richie's forthcoming insights in Wired, Forbes, and The Economist as he continues to demystify our technological future. Thanks for tuning in to this episode of Follow The Brand! Think AI is just another trend? Think again. It's not just changing the way we work—it's reshaping how we communicate, create, and connect. In this episode, I sit down with Jonathan Mast of White Beard Strategies to explore how AI is transforming business and marketing right now. From his early experiments with ChatGPT to building custom GPTs that handle social media and support—Jonathan doesn't just talk tech. He uses it, daily. We dig into what's working (and what's not) across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Google—and how new tools like Comet AI and Genspark are quietly shifting the landscape. This isn't about hype. It's about leverage. You'll hear how Jonathan stays human in a world of automation, how he protects his brand voice, and why authenticity matters more than ever in the age of deepfakes and algorithmic content. If you're curious about where AI is headed—and how to actually use it without losing yourself—this conversation is for you.
Personal branding is vital for how highly sensitives show up in business and leadership. When approached through the lens of your Core Value Offer (CVO)—a teaching I also discuss in the previous episode—personal branding is about embodying the energy you bring to everything you do. For HSPs, this clarity serves as a steady foundation during these continued exceptional times, in a world that often feels overwhelming. It supports marketing, leadership, and visibility in a way that aligns with your nervous system rather than against it, making it a powerful tool for creating more impact and more income, with less effort. This week’s episode is a continuation from our last episode. In this part two, we explore how to stay visible during challenging times by anchoring into your personal brand. Whether you’re personal experience of challenging times is facing loss, illness, emotional upheaval, or just the disorientation that can come with seasonal shifts, your CVO acts as both anchor and rudder—keeping you grounded while guiding you forward. We talk about how embracing your brand energy allows you to creatively access both/and: you can have BOTH both a sense of disruption from the season of summer AND remain in service. And the golden key to it all is privilege of agency—the reminder that you can design your business and leadership in a way that actually works for you, rather than against you. PLEASE NOTE: We will be moving this podcast over to our YouTube channel where fresh training content, just like you receive here, will be shared twice per week. If you've ever felt unsure about how much of yourself to share in your brand… this episode is for you. This is a special episode where I joined Michael Levitt on his podcast, Breakfast Leadership, to talk about something most people overthink: how to build a personal brand that actually connects. We unpacked what personal branding really means, why it's not about boasting, and how sharing your story can help you attract better-fit clients. Whether you've been in business for years or you're just starting out, this conversation will challenge the way you think about visibility, reputation, and what it really takes to stand out. Personal Branding Isn't Bragging — It's About Being Understood So many people stay quiet online because they're afraid of sounding self-promotional. But the truth is, people don't just want to know what you do–they want to know who you really are. We talk about why your past experiences, values, and even career pivots are worth including in your story. Take a look at your own LinkedIn or About page: is it helping people understand you…or just giving them a list of facts? Can Being Too Polarizing Lose You Clients? I share my take on whether or not you should be polarizing—and whether it can help or hurt your personal and business brand. We talked about the difference between standing out and turning people away, and why losing the wrong clients is often a win. If you've been keeping things neutral out of fear of alienating people, this part of the conversation will give you permission to show up with more honesty, clarity, and confidence. Enjoy this episode… Soundbytes 17:01 - 17:41 “Three-quarters of Americans are actually more likely to trust someone with an established personal brand, and that same percentage is more likely to buy a service or a product from a personal brand that they know. And that applies to big companies too. When you have a sense of what that company, or the founder of that company stands for…” "If we know that a company is supporting, let's say, a local shelter, or whatever else it might be. We're more likely to support them." 21:44 - 22:10 “A lot of times in today's world, especially the last few years, as things have evolved, we're self-centering a lot because we don't want to make waves. And I'm not ever saying make waves for wave's sake. I'm just saying, find ways to really put your values out there and the causes that you're passionate about in a way that is true to who you are. And that's what really helps attract your ideal clients.” Quotes “Three-quarters of Americans are actually more likely to trust someone with an established personal brand, and that same percentage is more likely to buy a service or a product from a personal brand that they know.” “It's okay to be polarizing.” “Take some time every now and then. Have a coffee date with yourself, and really just kind of set your own GPS and figure out where you want to be in five years, and how you're going to get there.” “The more we help people connect with us and truly show up as ourselves, the more likely we are to grow our businesses and convert people from browsers to buyers.” Links mentioned in this episode: Connect with brandiD Download our free guide to learn 16 crucial website updates that attract more leads and convert visitors into clients: https://thebrandid.com/website-tweaks/ Ready to elevate your digital presence with a powerful brand or website?
