Banks spend millions on carbon footprint. Banks have an engagement problem. Something is not working! This week I speak with Mathias Boissonot, Founder and CEO of Handprint and he makes a commercial case for a different model: instead of tracking what your customers do wrong, quantify what they're building right.Handprint powers ocean regeneration programs for banks like DBS, including coral reef restoration and mangrove planting that customers own, watch grow, and choose to fund with their spend. The result isn't just goodwill. It's an 875% increase in customer engagement compared to legacy carbon programs, and $23 million a year in verified ecosystem value returned to society. We get into why Mathias measures success by a metric most founders have never heard of: the "phoenix" over the unicorn, and the sales and founder lessons he's learned building the company from scratch. What you'll learnWhy carbon offsetting and "your carbon footprint" features fail to change customer behavior, and what the psychology actually isThe handprint model: quantifying positive impact instead of negative impact, and why that flips the entire customer relationshipHow banks turn nature engagement into a growth engine: referral programs with co-owned impact, nature cashback instead of standard cashbackWhy 62% of customers would switch banks over purpose misalignment, and 52% already haveThe phoenix metric: measuring company success in ecosystem value generated, not just valuationMathias's biggest founder mistakes, and the best sales advice he's ever received: "implicate the pain"Timestamps00:00 — Cold open: has carbon offsetting failed?04:40 — What Handprint actually does06:55 — Phoenix vs. unicorn: a new metric for success09:00 — $23 million in ecosystem value, every year18:30 — Why donation and carbon-guilt features don't work24:40 — Kill the cashback war: nature cashback instead27:30 — From cost center to growth engine: the 875% number32:30 — Building a company from Bali35:30 — Every mistake we could have made, we've made41:35 — Implicate the pain: the best sales advice he's received44:00 — Resilience, mindset, and having fun in the painConnect with Mathias:

In this episode, we connect with research scientist and C60 specialist Ken Swartz, known as "Ken the Scientist," to explore Carbon 60 (C60), the science behind the molecule, and its growing presence in conversations around cellular health, oxidative stress, and longevity. Ken's interest in C60 began while working on fusion reactor technology and researching the effects of radiation. His work introduced him to Buckminsterfullerene, a unique carbon molecule with properties that sparked his interest in its potential applications beyond the laboratory. What began as part of his scientific research eventually became the focus of his career. During this conversation, Ken breaks down what C60 is, how it interacts with free radicals, and why researchers have become interested in its possible relationship with oxidative stress and mitochondrial function… Join in now to explore: The science behind Carbon 60 and Buckminsterfullerene. How C60 interacts with free radicals and oxidative stress. Ken's background in research science and fusion technology. Why C60 has attracted attention in mitochondrial and cellular health. Send us Fan MailThe world does not change because we agree with the idea of change. It changes when we show up differently on an ordinary Tuesday morning, in the meetings we dread, the choices we rush, and the habits we repeat. That is the heart of my conversation with master coaches and authors Janet Harvey and Silvia Tassarotti about their book, Regenerative People, and why regeneration is not a trend but a personal and leadership practice. We draw a clear line between sustainability and regeneration. Sustainability aims to reduce harm through mitigation and adaptation. Regeneration asks something bolder: how do we build living systems, organizations, and cultures that restore and give back more than they take? We talk about the mindset shift many leaders skip, the step where we admit our role as causal agents in extractive norms, and how coaching is uniquely positioned to bridge the “personal versus business” divide. Along the way we explore seven-generation thinking, vision, and real examples of long-horizon decisions, from national policy choices to companies willing to reimagine success. You will leave with practical tools, not just inspiration: a coaching-friendly way to see challenges as living systems, a four-dimension decision lens (inner state, system impact, purpose, and more), and an invitation to inventory the core attributes of being regenerative across self, family, team, and organization. If you have been looking for a grounded approach to regenerative leadership, sustainable growth, well-being at work, and culture change that actually sticks, this conversation is your next step. Watch the full interview by clicking here. Learn more about Janet here and reach out to Janet at janet.harvey@invitechange.comLearn more about Silvia here and reach out to Silvia at tassarottis@gmail.comTake the 5 question survey here: Go.invitechange.com/regenGrab your free issue of choice Magazine here - https://choice-online.com/

Broadcast from KSQD, Santa Cruz on 8-06-2026: >ul> An emailer with persistent nine-month nerve damage in her right leg after a hysterectomy asks whether peptides could help. Dr. Dawn attributes the injury to lithotomy positioning during surgery, then reviews the main nerve-regeneration candidates in the FDA peptide review pipeline: BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound, strong rat data on sciatic nerve recovery with thicker myelin sheaths), intracellular sigma peptide (targets glial scar CSPGs blocking CNS regrowth), C3 peptide 156-181, GHK-Cu (copper peptide, upregulates nerve growth factor and neurotrophin-3), self-assembling hydrogel scaffolds for bridging nerve gaps, ARA-290/cibinetide (an erythropoietin fragment with early small fiber neuropathy trial data), and Semax (used internationally for stroke rehab). She adds standard functional-medicine adjuncts: alpha-lipoic acid, methylated B12, and methylfolate at high doses for six months. An emailer asks about safe features when buying an infrared sauna. Dr. Dawn covers three concerns: EMF exposure (look for shielded/grounded heaters testing under 1 milligauss at seat level, avoid unshielded Wi-Fi and Bluetooth panels); VOC off-gassing (avoid plywood, particle board, and MDF because of formaldehyde and benzene release, and avoid Western red cedar and pine because of high terpene emissions and instead choose poplar, basswood, or eucalyptus); and avoid built-in oxygen ionizers, which produce ozone as a coronal-discharge byproduct that irritates airways and generates secondary oxygenated VOCs. Dr. Dawn covers the surprisingly long list of medications that raise estrogen in middle-aged men—including nearly all antidepressants and antiepileptics, statins, NSAIDs (specifically naproxen and indomethacin but not ibuprofen), most blood pressure medications, PPIs, H2 blockers, Parkinson's drugs, antihistamines, and muscle relaxants. She recommends annual monitoring of the estrogen-to-testosterone ratio and offers rebalancing options: topical chrysin (blocks aromatization), indole-3-carbinol, calcium D-glucarate (blocks enterohepatic estrogen recirculation), soy (competitive receptor inhibition), and grape skin extract. The first mRNA-based flu vaccine was approved this week for adults 50 and over. Beyond the 27% improvement in seasonal efficacy over conventional shots, the strategic advantage is manufacturing speed. This will be critical when or if bird flu mutates to respiratory human transmission. Since mRNA vaccine can be reprogrammed from a new viral sequence in weeks versus the three-to-four-month growth cycle for conventional flu vaccines, rapid response can save lives. But mRNA vaccine side effects include more injection-site pain and fatigue - more like a tetanus shot than a traditional flu shot.. A Spanish prospective study of chemicals affected puberty in the young studied 500 girls followed from ages 7-10 and again at 14-16 used urine chemical measurements as objective exposure markers rather than food diaries. Ethylenethiourea, a metabolite of dithiocarbamate fungicides used heavily on strawberriess, was associated with earlier menarche, while a chlorpyrifos metabolite was associated with delayed menarche. this latter effect was more pronounced in overweight girls whose fat tissue concentrated the compound. Dr. Dawn recommends organic strawberries and keeping children away from fumigated fields. University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine researchers developed a chewing gum from lablab beans containing the natural antiviral protein FRIL, which reduced oral HPV by up to 93% in samples from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients. The gum also suppressed Fusobacterium nucleatum and Porphyromonas gingivalis, oral bacteria that promote cancer recurrence. Michigan State University's Hamburger lab studying delphinium (larkspur) alkaloids joined forces with Tomáš Pluskal's Czech Academy of Sciences lab studying wolfsbane (monkshood) after meeting at a Barcelona conference. Together they mapped the biosynthetic assembly line for aconite—an alkaloid with valuable applications against malaria, pain, cancer, and agricultural pests but impossibly slow to extract from source plants—and cloned the pathway into tobacco, which grows aggressively and produces large quantities of the compound. An emailer named in the message asks about an incidentally-discovered enlarged aorta on CT. Dr. Dawn notes it officially becomes an aneurysm at 4 cm (annual monitoring) or 5 cm (six-month monitoring), with smoking cessation critical since tobacco directly weakens the aortic wall. She describes the "zipper of fire" back pain of dissection versus catastrophic rupture, and notes Medicare covers a one-time screening ultrasound for ever-smokers over 65.

His wife says she heard the horn the night before. Tomas went out "to see whose fool idea it was to blow a hunting horn past curfew." I do not think it was a hunting horn. I do not think Tomas is coming back.22nd of the NeyavrThree sounds tonight. Not one. Three. Different notes, like it was... singing? Singing is the wrong word. It was closer to something practicing at being a voice. And it was angry. 29th of the NeyavrJakob, my poor sweet Jakob, we found him strangled by his own leash in the morning. The marks on the dirt and the rope burns around his neck are so deep and ragged. He wanted to get away from the woods so bad he all but ripped through his own throat. But Savanah, his mate, hasn't moved since we came upon the scene. She sits there, motionless, as still as a statue, eyes fixed at the forrest and growls whenever we attempt to move her.3rd of the DekavrI saw it. It came to the edge of the tree line and did not come one step closer. Black-feathered and wrong-shouldered. I saw it between the trunks. And then I heard it. Ken explains how this compound supports mitochondrial function, clears out “zombie cells,” and signals the body to regenerate new, healthy stem cells. From vision restoration to hormone optimization, athletic recovery, and even skin rejuvenation, the ripple effects are profound. We also unpack the truth about supplement quality, why most C60 products on the market don't work, and what to look for if you want real results. This episode opens the door to a new conversation:

They cover why standard lab work often misses what's actually happening inside the body, the six principles behind her book The Regeneration Effect: Sacred Wisdom for Staying Young, and why she believes stem cell therapy works best as early prevention rather than a last resort. The conversation moves between hard science and ancient wisdom, from oxidative stress and DNA damage to meridians, natural rhythm, and the kidney's role as the body's energetic reserve. What if some of the changes we blame on aging aren't simply about getting older? Changes in sleep, energy, cholesterol, bone density, skin, mood, and metabolism can sometimes be connected to shifting hormones and underlying imbalances that began long before menopause. Yet many women aren't encouraged to pay attention until their symptoms become disruptive—or their routine test results finally fall outside the standard range. In this episode of Living Life Naturally, I'm joined by Marina Moiseyeva, a board-certified family nurse practitioner and specialist in integrative, regenerative, and anti-aging medicine. Marina believes that healthy aging begins with prevention. Rather than waiting for a diagnosis, she encourages women to notice subtle changes, understand their individual patterns, and work with qualified healthcare professionals to investigate what may be happening beneath the surface. We talk about the important relationship between hormones and longevity, why "normal" test results don't always tell the entire story, and how sleep, stress, nutrition, movement, and emotional well-being can influence the way we age. Marina also explains why women may benefit from paying attention to their hormonal health in their 30s and 40s—not only once menopause arrives. We discuss thyroid health, vitamin D, collagen, cycle tracking, and why the most impressive wellness technology can't replace the foundations of a healthy lifestyle. This isn't about trying to stop aging or chasing a perfect hormone level. It's about becoming informed, asking better questions, and supporting your body so you can remain strong, capable, and engaged in the life you've worked so hard to create. In this episode, we discuss: ·         Why hormonal changes can affect more than hot flashes and periods ·         The relationship between estrogen, progesterone, thyroid health, and aging ·         Why prevention may need to begin before obvious menopause symptoms appear ·         The difference between a standard reference range and an individualized assessment ·         How tracking your cycle and symptoms can reveal early patterns ·         Why thyroid results need to be interpreted alongside symptoms and medical history ·         The roles vitamin D and other nutrients play in overall wellness ·         Why progesterone changes may affect sleep ·         How sleep supports hormonal, metabolic, and emotional health ·         The connection between estrogen and collagen ·         Why collagen support begins inside the body ·         When biohacking becomes another source of stress ·         Why joy, relationships, and emotional well-being belong in any longevity plan ·         The difference between lifespan and healthspan ·         How to become a more confident advocate for your health About Marina Moiseyeva Marina Moiseyeva is a board-certified family nurse practitioner, certified diplomate in anti-aging and regenerative medicine, and founder of Harmonious Life Family Health in Brooklyn, New York. With more than 16 years of healthcare experience, Marina specializes in integrative, functional, nutritional, regenerative, and anti-aging medicine. Connection is your greatest multiplier—if you know how to build it right. Enjoy my conversation with David Homan, CEO of Orchestrated Connecting. 3 takeaways: Connection is built, not found. It starts with curiosity, vulnerability, and showing up consistently. Give first—without keeping score. The best relationships aren't transactional… they're intentional. Gratitude compounds. A simple thank you can strengthen a relationship for a lifetime. Most people focus on outcomes. The best focus on people. --- A "Connector of Connectors:" David Homan connects people. His primary skill in life is learning about people, helping them reframe and pitch themselves better, and then creating long-lasting relationships based on the premise that for everyone for whom he connects the dots, they would be described as an action oriented, natural giver with high integrity. His book, Orchestrating Connection, published in 2025 is a USA Best-Seller, and his community of over 2300 global "superconnectors" represents family offices, venture capitalists, impact investors, entertainers, athletes, CEOs/Founders, community organizers, and a myriad of other incredible "occupations" that do little to describe how amazing each individual in this community of communities is. He launched his tech company, SOAR Connect in July 2024 and will be bringing out of beta to change the way we build relationships at scale with trust. How David got here: As a prior non-profit CEO, David raised millions for the arts while running a multi-national, multi-million dollar Foundation that survived near total destruction due to Bernie Madoff, and incubated a social impact film company for the Dalio Family Office. His impact advisory firm, Orchestrated Opportunities, partners with family offices, start-ups, funds, and nonprofits to builds new, structured ecosystems of relationships to strategically scale and expand their growth. Focal areas include mental health, health and wellness, climate change, art, philanthropy, social justice, and investing in women, among others. David is a recognized classical composer whose music can be found by saying "Alexa–please play the music of David Homan" with 7 albums and radio play internationally. His latest project is a film/mini-series focused on a composer who loses his mind to Alzheimer's. He serves as an Advisor to NEXUS, the Catalyst Impact Foundation, Regeneration.VC, and as Board Chair of the Arthur Miller Foundation.
