Dr. Roger McFillin welcomes back Clinical Psychologist Dr. Riz Ahmad to explore a fundamental question: "Does nature make mistakes?" Challenging conventional psychiatric approaches, they argue that what we label as mental illness is actually be the body's natural signals for change. The psychologists contrast traditional mental health treatment with 'functional mental health', which focuses on root causes and the interconnection between physical and mental well-being rather than subjective labels and drugs. Through practical examples, they advocate for a paradigm shift that considers the whole person - from lifestyle and nutrition to relationships and spiritual health - ultimately calling for a healthcare system that heals rather than simply suppresses symptoms.Chapters00:00The Health Crisis: A Fragmented Narrative03:18 The Interconnectedness of Mind and Body06:45 Challenging Conventional Mental Health Paradigms10:35 The Dopamine Dilemma: Pleasure and Pain15:50 Nature's Signals: Understanding Symptoms20:59 The Role of Nature in Health25:55 The Complexity of Mental Health Treatment30:20 Exploring Consciousness Beyond the Material35:52 The Power of Intention and Interconnectedness41:07 Reconnecting with Our True Nature45:46 The Impact of Light on Mental Health48:44 Integrating Psychology and Functional Medicine52:26 The Flaws in Allopathic Medicine56:17 Redefining Mental Health and Optimal Well-Being01:00:11 Contrasting Standard and Functional Approaches to Teen Mental Health01:12:25 Understanding Trauma and Its Effects01:21:45 The Interconnectedness of Mind, Body, and Emotion RADICALLY GENUINE PODCASTDr. Roger McFillin / Radically Genuine WebsiteYouTube @RadicallyGenuineDr. Roger McFillin (@DrMcFillin) / XSubstack | Radically Genuine | Dr. Roger McFillinInstagram @radicallygenuineContact Radically GenuineConscious Clinician CollectivePLEASE SUPPORT OUR PARTNERS15% Off Pure Spectrum CBD (Code: RadicallyGenuine)10% off Lovetuner click here—-----------FREE DOWNLOAD! In this episode, I take the reins to reflect on our recent conversation with the insightful Margie Breault. Initially skeptical of energy healing, natural law, and the like, Margie's profound journey from a tumultuous past to embracing practices like Reiki left me reconsidering my stance. Her articulate discussion on natural law and the law of polarity struck a chord, showcasing how these ancient principles can catalyze personal growth. While I maintain respect for conventional medicine, Margie's narrative urges us to explore alternative modalities with an open mind. So, I invite you to join me in contemplating the "woo woo" versus "wow" of holistic healing, and perhaps, consider the transformative power it holds. Let's dive in! Here are the key takeaways from this solo episode: Dr. Fred admits he had some initial skepticism about energy healing, natural law, the law of polarity, and other "alternative" modalities that Margie discussed. However, after hearing Margie's personal journey and her deep understanding and embodiment of these principles, Dr. Fred became much less skeptical. He was impressed by how Margie went from a traumatic upbringing that disrupted her self-esteem, to discovering energy healing like Reiki, and then deeply studying the theories and teachings behind these practices. Margie's ability to eloquently explain natural law, the law of polarity, and how these universal principles can empower personal transformation was very convincing to Dr. Fred. Dr. Fred acknowledges that while conventional/allopathic medicine has its place, the ancient healing arts and spiritual/energetic approaches can also be highly valuable, especially when approached with an open mind. He encourages listeners to reflect on their own perspectives - are they dismissing these alternative modalities as "woo woo" without truly exploring them? Or are they open to the potential "wow" factor these approaches can offer. Dr. Fred suggests people should be willing to consider alternative treatments, especially when conventional medicine may fall short or cause harm.
Nurse Practitioner who focuses on women's health with virtual patients in North Carolina. She has been with Hormone Wellness MD since 2023, a practice that focuses on hormones and sexual wellness in women. "For those who are willing to meet in a virtual format, it often works better for their schedules and we can accomplish really everything we need to accomplish over the telehealth platform." Kate has always gravitated towards comforting others starting when she was a young child. She began her career in the medical field as an Oncology Nurse and found her way professionally to Functional Medicine by way of her personal journey after the birth of her second child. She didn't feel well but her labs were within normal limits. This took Kate on a journey of healing and professional awakening as she became certified in 2021 through the Institute for Functional Medicine. Typically Functional Medicine practitioners will come from a medical background as MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, Chiropractors, or Naturopaths. In understanding where Functional Medicine fits into the medical model, Kate says that Functional Medicine does not take the place of or compete with Allopathic Medicine and that the basic standard of care is not overlooked. She describes Allopathic Medicine as disease focused or to find a diagnosis then recommending a course of treatment. Functional Medicine looks at all fo the systems and views them as interconnected. As a Functional Medicine Practitioner, she is looking for balance and oftentimes starts in the gut. At Hormone Wellness MD, she has a focus on hormonal health but does not just focus on estrogen and progesterone but rather looks at the thyroid, adrenal system, and insulin. She focuses on finding the root cause and working on all of the systems in harmony. "What makes the difference is the mindset; so not the disease-focused orientation but looking at the body systems as interconnected, seeing them as working together, and so understanding that the gut impacts the brain, impacts the hormones." Kate mentions that typically her patients will come to Functional Medicine when they aren't getting answers with conventional medicine, want a different way to manage, or their symptoms from their diagnosis aren't fully managed. It may even be intense PMS symptoms or chronic constipation. Kate loves working with women and especially those in perimenopause or menopause because of the big shifts women go through during this time. The first session with Kate is an hour long and is focused on gathering not only information on past medical issues but looking at any history of trauma or stress. She starts with lifestyle as a foundation such as nutrition, movement and exercise, stress management, relationships, and sleep. Her next session is going over labs, developing a treatment plan, and recommending medication or supplements if needed. She is always fine-tuning the foundational areas. "Women in this stage of life are doing big things. They are running their families, they are running teams at work, they are volunteering, they are making an impact in their community. When these women are feeling better, the world runs better." Kate's own self-care is about creating margins for herself. She likes to engage in naps, reading, time outside, and many activities that are not goal-oriented. Kate would like to Heal Charlotte as it is a joy to be a part of seeing someone heal and reengaging in life. You can find more information on her website or Instagram.

Moses Durazo is a Biomagnetic Pair therapy specialist and author who embarked on an unconventional path to holistic wellness. His journey began 27 years ago with a profound medical experience that challenged his belief in allopathic medicine and the conventional approach to health. Upon discovering a Holistic Health program in college, his perspective shifted toward a holistic view of wellness, drawing inspiration from centuries-old healing traditions rooted in mind, body, and spirit balance. Despite extensive natural medicine knowledge, Moses still faced significant chronic digestive issues. His quest led him to a life-changing modality in Mexico known as Medical Biomagnetic Pair therapy. With a single treatment involving the application of static magnets, his chronic, 4.5-year ailment vanished overnight. This pivotal experience ignited his passion for pioneering the field of Medical Biomagnetism. In addition to developing a 6-step recalibration protocol, Moses created Harmonic Resonance Sound Baths, an innovative healing approach that combines the therapeutic power of biomagnetism and music. Moses's holistic journey is a testament to the fusion of ancient wisdom and modern innovation, offering a unique path to well-being and self-discovery. I discovered Moses while intuitively guided to explore the healing power of magnets. I had a personal session with him and have been working with the magnets on my own each day since. I am experiencing a lot of energetic shifts personally and receiving strong guidance about the power of magnets yet to be widely discovered to acknowledged by western medicine. Please enjoy this conversation on the power of magnets, bioenergetics, and the shifting paradigm in global healing. Welcome to "The Healthy Healer" podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Fred Moss. Through sustained conversations, we delve deep into the journeys of healers who've found their purpose after personal transformation. Many enter the healing profession with aspirations only to grapple with reality—endless training, unexpected responsibilities, and even disillusionment. But there are those who rise above, harnessing personal healing and rediscovering their passion. Our podcast features these inspiring souls who've returned to the healing profession, stronger and more aligned than ever. Join us for riveting conversations that shed light on the true essence of healing and the incredible individuals who've redefined their paths. Here are some key takeaways from this follow-up episode: - Dr. Fred questions why allopathic medicine is considered "conventional" while herbal medicine is called "alternative" - even though herbs come from nature. - He notes that allopathic medicines from corporations often don't work as claimed, unlike time-tested herbal remedies. - Herbal combinations can address imbalances we don't even know about, through teas, foods, etc. Chinese medicine uses complex formulas with many herbs, while the West uses simpler preparations. - Holly Bellebuono's career shows how herbalism can be a true calling and vocation. She moved to Martha's Vineyard and built a business and herbal medicine school. - Dr. Fred wishes he had learned more about effective herbal medicines earlier, rather than focusing on allopathic medicines that often don't work. - He found the discussion about using plants as food and medicine fascinating. Also the potential of psychedelic plant medicines to alter humanity, though their proper use requires great care. - He recommends looking into Holly's online courses and other offerings, especially for women interested in herbalism. But her wisdom can benefit everyone. Dr. Fred invites listeners to subscribe, share, like and comment on the show, to help it grow. He is grateful for the audience supporting The Healthy Healer.

Interview with Cole Carlson about how energy healing and sound therapy can be utilized to recalibrate the nervous system and discover one's highest potential. As an empath and healer, Cole has spent countless hours sensing unmet needs, caring for illness, and learning the language of trapped emotional energy in the body. Her former career as a Registered Nurse, primarily in critical care, was instrumental as a stepping stone to discovering her love for energy medicine. When her own mental and physical health declined, she noticed Western medicine applying temporary bandages instead of identifying the root cause of her wounds. This catalyzed her search for holistic alternatives leading her down the path of energy medicine.Through her own healing journey, Cole learned how unacknowledged childhood trauma and repressed emotions often manifest into mental and physical illness, unhealthy relationships, codependency, substance abuse, or other self-destructive patterns. She loves helping her clients reconnect with the emotional body to nurture their inner child and cultivate unconditional self- love and forgiveness through bringing awareness to unhealthy ancestral patterns we often perpetuate into our own lives. With a diverse background in allopathic and energy medicine, Cole holds a special skill set to help clients off the hamster wheel of pain and suffering to embody their authenticity and highest potential. She uses energy healing and a sound therapy called Biofield Tuning to harmonize incoherence in the body's electrical signal and recalibrate the nervous system back to its natural state of rest. Valuing a collaborative approach, she provides complimentary care working with other healthcare or wellness providers when appropriate to ensure a relationship based on trust and understanding. She works with adults, kids, couples, and groups of all ages and backgrounds. Cole is certified as a Biofield Tuning Practitioner through the Biofield Tuning Institute, and as a Reiki Master Teacher by the International Center for Reiki Training.https://www.afterglowenergyflow.comCole Marie (@colemarie_soundhealing) | Instagram (1) Infinity Healing Energy | FacebookWell Connected Twin Cities is connecting you with local health and wellness professionals in your community. If you have questions regarding your health…the answers are in the blood. The Bigelsen name looms large over the field of blood analysis, and well it should. Adam and Josh Bigelsen are the sons of Dr. Harvey Bigelsen who was a pioneer in the world of holistic medicine, and author of the groundbreaking books, 'Holographic Blood' and 'Doctors are More Harmful than Germs.' For many years Dr Bigelsen used the method of holographic blood analysis to guide patient treatment and healing. The results were breathtaking. His sons Adam and Josh now carry the torch and continue their father's work. It represents nothing less than a total health revolution. As Edgar Cayce predicted many years ago, an individual's total health can be assessed with just one drop of blood - that is now true. The Bigelsens are doing just that, and they allow the body's internal wisdom to inform and guide treatment pathways. The outcomes are, overall, FAR superior to allopathic medicine. Cancer outcomes are just one example. We discuss how this work came about and why holographic blood analysis is SO powerful. We also discuss: pleomorphism; the purpose of illness; the role of emotion in disease; why the body never attacks itself; common misunderstandings and misinterpretations of images in blood samples; people saying there are certain things in jabbed people's blood based on misinterpretation and non-recognition of the hologram phenomenon; why Lyme disease isn't what people think; the role of mould; the sliding scale of disease symptomology; what inflammation REALLY is; spirochetes; why their dad believed doctors were more harmful than "germs"; supplements; why the Bigelsens never see images of "viruses" in the blood and why they never treat for "viruses"; simple things you can do to support your health without products or pills. Dr. Chris Shade, an expert in detoxification and longevity medicine, joins Sinclair Kennally in this episode of "Your Health Reset." Driven by his passion for helping people recover from heavy metal, toxin, and mold exposures, Dr. Shade shares his journey from studying pollution as an organic farmer to addressing root causes. The conversation focuses on the importance of detoxification in longevity medicine and the role of up-regulating NRF2 and PK pathways for clearing toxins and promoting regenerative chemistry. Dr. Shade discusses the effectiveness of liposomal delivery, a natural method that utilizes liposomes to enhance the bioavailability of compounds like glutathione, lipoic acid, GABA, C, B, and D. Liposomes protect these compounds during digestion and facilitate absorption through the oral cavity and capillaries. Join Sinclair Kennally in the next episode for an engaging exploration of detoxification techniques and the potential impact of liposomal delivery on overall health and well-being. You got myths on the natural medicine side and you got course tons of myths on the med, on the medical side. So on the medical side, Oh, detoxification is not real. That's natural health, functional medicine, or allopathic. So what are the myths that still persist in your eyes that we need to, you know? Well, you got myths on both sides. Amandha Vollmer is naturopathically trained (and blacklisted) holistic healer and educator who joins me to discuss a number of juicy topics, including the allopathic takeover of naturopathy and destruction of education. She explains how to came to leave naturopathy behind and expand her remit, designing her own remedies, learning from clients and how nature actually works. We learn how Amandha left university as a “radical vegan eco-terrorist,” and of her subsequent kundalini awakening in 2000 which changed her forever. Amandha also discusses how, why, and when she started to discern the problems with virology and why pathogenic viruses are nonsense. Additionally she delves into the concept of Socratic method and logic and how to dialogue constructively at a grassroots levels to help clarify the real medical and scientific issues so we can move beyond the System's absurd programming. We also swap notes on the lack of clear-thinking ability in portions of the Truth Movement and her ideas for moving forward. Aspects include cognitive dissonance and betrayal. Bonus for Truthiversity subscribers: We also discuss why Arthur Firstenberg is wrong about chemtrails (warning: colourful language!) and other interesting things. Special Guest: Amandha Vollmer.

I recently went to a PCP who was supposedly very understanding and an amazing doctor. My interaction with her was not that. It wasn't about her not doing what I was asking, it was the way she spoke to me and the exchange in general. This is why people stay sick. We have a sick care system and after posting my account on TikTok, I am saddened (but not surprised) to see how many people have encountered the same thing. 142 comments of people experiencing similar or have experienced similar. Neglecting your health and refusing to take responsibility for your wellness only leads down one path - biochemical devastation. The result? You play right into the hands of Big Pharma and become their perfect customer, not dead, not healthy and completely reliant on an evil system to survive. How can people awaken to this reality before it's too late? What's the ultimate motivation of the puppet masters? In this episode, Founder and President of Dr Lewis Nutrition, Dr John E Lewis joins me to talk about what's gone wrong in healthcare and how we can fix it. We are at the tipping point of the average person's health, and it's so unfortunate that people are led to believe that chronic disease is an inevitability. -Dr. John E Lewis Three Things We Learned Our species-level crisisHow do we snap the world out of the mass psychosis we've seen over the last few years? Why we're seeing a significant increase in neurodegenerative disordersWhat's the difference between natural and necessary inflammation and inflammation from biochemical devastation? The war on creationWhat do the puppet masters want to get out of us? Guest Bio John E. Lewis, Ph.D. is past full-time and current Voluntary Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and the Founder and President of Dr Lewis Nutrition (https://www.drlewisnutrition.com/). He is a Diplomate, Faculty Member, and Advisor of the Medical Wellness Association. He has been the principal investigator of over 30 different studies in his research career. During that time, he either directly raised or indirectly supported raising over $23 million in grants, gifts, and contracts for research studies and clinical trials and educational programs for medical students. Much of his research has focused on evaluating the effects of nutrition, dietary supplementation, exercise, and medical devices on various aspects of human health and disease. He and his colleagues have been continually searching for ways to help people achieve and maintain health through natural treatments that align with our physiology. In addition to his research, Dr. Lewis has been an invited national and international lecturer and guest speaker at conferences and as a guest on television shows, where he discusses not only the findings of his research, but to provide guidance and recommendations as an expert in the field of health and wellness. In addition, he has over 180 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals, where his work has first appeared in print, including in some of the leading scientific journals, such as AIDS and Behavior, American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, American Journal of Public Health, Journal of the International AIDS Society, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, Nutrition and Cancer: An International Journal, Sports Medicine, Stroke, The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, and The Gerontologist. He has also mentored many different students, from undergraduates to post-doctoral trainees, in not only how to conduct clinical research but to apply the principles of health promotion into daily practice. A primary stimulus for the origin of Dr Lewis Nutrition occurred when Dr. Lewis ran his landmark study on how an aloe polysaccharide multi-nutrient complex improved cognitive and immune functioning after 12 months in persons with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease, leading to the creation of the dietary supplement, Daily Brain Care. Between 5 and 6 million Americans (approximately 40 million worldwide) suffer from Alzheimer's disease today, and the Alzheimer's Association predicts that number to more than double by 2030. It is the 6th leading cause of death of Americans and has no known conventional medical treatment, prevention, or cure. The current combined paid-for-care (formal) and unpaid care (informal caregiving) costs associated with Alzheimer's are estimated to be over $500 billion per year, and the five FDA-approved drugs for dementia do little to improve the victim's condition. Thus, Daily Brain Care shows more efficacy as a dietary supplement than what are considered to be the best evidence-based medications. His seminal publication from the study in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, not only spurred him to leave academics and pursue a science-based business career, but also enabled him to be selected for a widely-acclaimed TEDxMiami talk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOJr0sxmxGI) about how dietary supplementation can improve brain health. Dr. Lewis also embodies the model of health and wellness by eating a whole-food, plant-based diet for over 25 years, taking certain key dietary supplements, and through a rigorous, daily exercise training program. John has a passion for educating others about the value of nutrition, exercise, and health, and he will study the application of clinical nutrition for the benefit of mankind. Many people are seeking alternative approaches to pharmaceuticals, which often just suppress or treat symptoms while also causing many side effects. Did you know there's a natural medical system that recognizes and removes the underlying cause and has existed for over 200 years? It's Homeopathy. This week's guest, Lizzie Martinez, a Board Certified Homeopath, shares why you'll want to try this holistic health approach. Some of the topics we cover: * What exactly is Homeopathy and how does it differ from Allopathic Medicine? * Lizzie's personal health journey that led her to Homeopathy. * The western medicine approach suppresses symptoms, and therefore often doesn't address the origin of the issue. Homeopathy looks at the symptom pattern, addressing the root cause to bring about the body's natural immune response. * How this suppression of symptoms, not just physically but also mentally and emotionally, could be at the core of much of our societal dysfunction. Are we not learning how to face issues and work through them? * “Individualized medicine” - a huge benefit provided by this modality. * Homeopathy's holistic approach takes into account the physical, mental, emotional and even the Unconscious (through dreams) to provide a remedy. * Why is Homeopathy considered energy medicine? * Lizzie's clients are often people with very complex cases that haven't been answered through Allopathic medicine. * A large part of Lizzie's practice is actually undoing damage due to pharmaceuticals. * What's a nosode and how is it used both to treat and prevent illness? * What is the Law of Similars? * How Homeopathy's function of “immunological education” helps to prevent health issues. * How Lizzie successfully helped many people throughout the Covid pandemic and what she learned through the process. *Legal disclaimer below. * Book recommendation: “The Solution: Homeoprophylaxis” by Kate Birch and Cilla Whatcott. * Lizzie shares her own pilgrimage story, first in her neighborhood and then to Mexico, prompted by her dreams * Homeopathic treatments don't really go bad (with basic care of them) and you can create a home health kit to naturally treat the most common ailments. Lizzie Martinez is Board Certified in Homeopathy, and provides Functional and Integrative Medicine for Adults, teens and children. To learn more about Lizzie and her services, visit www.lizziemartinez.com. Welcome to the first episode of season 4 of Hormonally Speaking! We are kicking off this season with a fabulous guest, Dr. Tabatha Barber, who is triple board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, menopause, and functional medicine. Dr. Barber is a dynamic practitioner and she shares her own experiences of what propels her to do the work she does, including: -How she went from being a teenage mother to becoming a triple board-certified doctor, and how that paved the way for her to fight for women, their health, and hormonal balance. -Finding her way to functional medicine after re-injuring herself barely six weeks after her back surgery, and her doctor telling her "back surgeries are like Lay's potato chips - you can't have just one." -Explaining how birth control does *not* balance your hormones, but instead overrides your own hormones, causes leaky gut, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and can be a contributor to turning on autoimmune conditions. -Breaking down how doctors don't intervene in health conditions until they are already full-blown diseases, as there aren't medications or surgeries available until it gets to that point. -Why bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is safe and can be life-changing, and how they are different from HRT. And so much more! Dr. Barber is so inspirational as a forward-thinking doctor who understands how we truly heal from the ground up. You'll leave this interview not only more knowledgeable about how the healthcare system works, but also with hope that more doctors will make the move to the functional side. Dr. Tabatha Barber has devoted her life to giving women a voice and a choice when it comes to their health and well-being. As a young girl, she struggled with self-esteem and identity issues, dealt with peer-pressure, and survived the ridicule and stigma of becoming a teenage mother. As she shared in her first published book titled, From White Trash to White Coat: The Birth of Catherine's Purpose, those events led Tabatha to finding her purpose in life. With perseverance and grace, she was able to redirect her path in life and become a successful physician. Dr. Tabatha Barber is triple board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, menopause, and functional medicine. Dr. Peter Glidden is a naturopathic doctor. When he was sick with GI issues and fatigue and no MD could help him, it was a homeopathic remedy that cured him and led him to enroll in a naturopathic doctor of medicine degree program. In this episode, Dr. Glidden explains how allopathic medicine is good for trauma and surgery but is inconsistent with natural law. Allopathic medicine is disease management. It's the leading cause of bankruptcy and the leading cause of death. He tells us how there was a hostile takeover of the medical system in 1912 and how we desperately need a free medical market. There are many "alternatives" that do work to allow the body to heal. To learn more about Dr. Glidden, please go to https://riseupintohealth.com/.

There is certainly isn't a shortage of passion and caring in the hearts and minds of fitness professionals. Simply put, people get into this profession out of an intense desire to help others improve their fitness, health, and wellbeing. While our motives may come from a very pure and altruistic place there can be a downside to this caregiving mentality. This downside can manifest itself in a proportionate reduction in our own self-care, relative to the amount of care we provide to others. This phenomenon is called by many names; caregiver fatigue, compassion fatigue, caretakeritis; but whatever name you call it by the outcome is every bit as deleterious for the caregiver. This will be the topic of conversation in episode 56 of the Wellness Paradox podcast with Dr. Miriam Zylberglait (or Dr. Z). As we'll discuss, she, like so many during COVID, started to rethink some of her fundamental paradigms about how she approached life both personally and professionally. In doing so, she realized her self-care, and ultimately her happiness and wellbeing, was suffering tremendously. As a result, she made a commitment to not only focus on her own self-care, but that of others in the caregiver professions. This conversation is an interesting examination of something we don't often think of as fitness professionals; our own wellbeing. Yes, many of us are very fit and strong externally, but more broadly speaking do we have a truly high level of wellbeing that matches our physical fitness? I would suspect the answer is likely no if this concept of caregiver fatigue is something you haven't considered. This is a very eye-opening conversation, particularly when you start to realize your own wellbeing is the true rate-limiter to how many other people you can truly help. Consider this to be a conversation that indirectly helps all the people you serve, by directly helping yourself focus on, and improve, your own wellbeing. Putting on your oxygen mask is, indeed, the only way to effectively help others!Show Notes Page: https://www.wellnessparadoxpod.com/podcast/episode/56Our Guest: Dr. Miriam Zylberglait, MD, FACPDr. Z is triple Board-Certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Obesity Medicine. How Chiropractic Can Help Ear Infections Nothing's worse than seeing your child in pain from an ear infection and not knowing how to help them. In today's episode, Dr. Ryan and Ashley Berlin discuss how chiropractic care can help ear infections, as well as natural remedies to heal otitis media (ear infections). According to the Boston Children's Hospital, 80% of children have been diagnosed with at least 1 ear infection by the time they are 3 years of age. The traditional route people take when their child has an ear infection is to take them to a doctor, leaving only 2 treatment options available: antibiotics or tubes put in the ears. Although these may seem reasonable, what you don't realize is that they aren't fixing the root cause of the ear infection. Spinal misalignment (otherwise known as subluxation), creates interference such as ear infections in the body. This puts pressure on the nerves causing the ear to not function properly. Dr. Ryan mentions a study published in the Journal of Clinical Chiropractic Pediatrics where researchers found there was a strong correlation between chiropractic adjustments and healing of otitis media. If you know someone who struggles with ear infections, share this episode with them - it could change their quality of life for the better! You'll Learn: Precisely why symptom-focused medicine is so ineffective The importance of the body's electrical fields in determining health Why bacteria, fungi, and "viruses" are so important to healthy functioning Confirmation from insiders that plandemic-2020 was an event many years in the making Why "high level elites" don't use Big Pharma's interventions even though they promote them Why electricity matters to your soil Why mindset may be the single most important determinant of health ...and much, much more. Dr Patrick Quanten's Story In Patrick's own words: I originate from Belgium and practiced medicine on a small British island in the channel between the UK and France, called Alderney. A small place where you couldn't hide the truth for very long and where I got confronted with some medical truths, like it isn't working. Looking for ways to help people along I ended up studying most 'alternative' practices and soon find out they had many of the same shortcomings. Finally I realized that life cannot be explained by physical interactions and then I started seeing that medicine was not incorporating scientific knowledge such as everything is energy. From then on I spend my days showing people how health and disease works as energetic interactions and, most importantly, that the individual can determine not to get ill and to heal himself. Your health is in your hands and there are always things you can do to improve your life. You'll Learn: Why Patrick sees medical collectivism and groupthink as dangerous and toxic What Patrick learnt from being with the local community that he didn't learn at med school Why self-understanding and your psyche is so key to personal health Why Patrick believes "infectious viruses" don't matter (even if you believe they exist) Fascinating insight into mosquito bites and personal health Why Patrick's patients didn't get better when given the "right" mainstream medical treatment Why your own personal psychological response to life and the environment is key to health How and why childhood conditions like measles and chicken pox SERVE us How these conditions REALLY spread and why they are nothing to fear ...and why vaccinating against these harmless conditions is SO destructive Why embracing individualism is so important right now The crucial importance of the power of suggestion - and our beliefs ...and MUCH, much more. I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to talk with Patrick at length. This conversation just got better and better as it went! Please subscribe, drop a review, and share this information widely. Thanks in advance for supporting the nascent emergence of deep human self-awareness - and the peace and freedom this will bring. If you're curious about trying acupuncture or know someone who may benefit from it, it can be helpful to understand some of the background science for how acupuncture works. At a high level, Mark Whalen describes it as working with patients' own internal mechanisms to heal the body. Since our bodies are always seeking homeostasis, sometimes they just need a stimulus, like acupuncture, to draw the attention of the central nervous system to the affected areas. Mark guides us through how he views this process through a mesh of both classic and current ways of thinking about healing. On Today's Episode of A Healthy Curiosity: His path of desperation with nerve pain that led him to acupuncture Why treatment doesn't always involve dealing directly with pain areas How he explains acupuncture when a patient asks how it works What is happening, mechanically, when an acupuncture needle enters the body How effects of acupuncture can relate to the default mode network of the brain Mark Whalen is the owner and acupuncturist at Five Points Acupuncture & Wellness. He first became interested in acupuncture while he was a patient. Facing an unwanted surgery for a nerve entrapment, Mark turned to acupuncture and not only did it resolve his issue, it changed his life. Mark went on to graduate from the New England School of Acupuncture in 2005 with a Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is certified in Acupuncture by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine and in Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM. Mark believes in integrating the traditional Chinese Medical model with modern Allopathic Medicine to get the best results for his patients. The TAP team interview medical doctor Leah Austin regarding the challenges medical doctors and patients experience when addressing thyroid disorders, hypothyroidism, and chronic hypothyroid symptoms. The doctors discuss: The allopathic approach to hypothyroidism and other disorders Allopathic Medicine vs Integrative Medicine vs Functional Medicine The time crisis in allopathic medicine Managing TSH vs addressing the cause of hypothyroidism Why medical doctors don't run comprehensive thyroid panels The mismatch between what thyroid patients want and allopathic do in regard to evaluation and treatment. The hypothyroid spectrum More .... Dr Leah Austin graduated from Newcastle University in Tyne, UK in 2007 and completed her General Practitioner training in 2014. She completed posts in general medicine, orthopaedics, emergency medicine, microbiology, palliative care, genitourinary medicine, obstetrics & gynecology. Since working as a General Practitioner she has gained experience working in the North East, Yorkshire, London, UK and Beijing, China. Working as General Practitioner within the NHS, she became frustrated with time constraints of 10 minute consultations; the ability to manage patients with longstanding (chronic) health problems and really being able to give patients the individualized assessment and care they deserved. Being of mixed ethnic background with Chinese and English, she became fascinated with eastern medicine and the true impact of nutrition, genetics, herbs, environment and lifestyle. With this and her own health/family concerns; led her to study nutrition and qualify as a Nutritional Therapist in September 2017 at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. She now practices in London, UK as an integrative practitioner specializing in exploring the root cause of health problems, chronic, nutrigenomic, hormone and digestive health. Episode 26 - The Power of the Mind in Health and Healing There is no doubt that our thoughts impact our health. Good thoughts are good for you… bad thoughts aren’t. That’s easy enough to understand but it goes much deeper than that. For example, when you are sick, it’s normal to become consumed with how bad you feel. You think about your symptoms, you talk about them, you even Google them. But is this productive? Not really. Why? Because your physiology follows your thoughts. Therefore, focusing your mind on your symptoms will reinforce an unhealthy state. However, focusing your mind on healthy thoughts will steer your body towards health. The message is simple: Try to focus your mind on HEALTH, not disease… ESPECIALLY when you don’t feel well. (I know it's not easy.) That’s not all. While positive thinking is important, “right” thinking is imperative. Specifically with regard to health, there are three distinctions you really should be clear about. Three distinctions that - along with the importance of “positive” thinking - we discuss on this episode of the Get Healthy Alabama podcast. These three distinctions involve understanding the difference between: 1) Health Care and Disease Care 2) Allopathic Medicine and Holistic Medicine 3) A Healer and A Teacher I honestly believe that listening to this episode and gaining clarity on these three topics will leave you healthier than before. All because your thoughts will be better :) ------- Need better digestion? Download your free copy of The Symptom Survey at www.GetHealthyAlabama.com

In this episode, I compare and contrast Traditional, Western-style Allopathic Medicine with the Naturopathic Healthcare Model. You'll learn some of the advantages and shortcomings of each method and when and how to use them appropriately.
Our guest today, Dr.Jess worked as an internal medicine doctor after training and getting certified. While working she noticed that many patients with chronic conditions were only getting treated for the symptoms. Nobody investigated the root causes of their conditions and thus never got better. This made her make the transition to natural medicine. The transition was not easy since the naturopathic side of medicine doesn’t have systems where you can jump straight in. You have to figure out everything as you set up your practice. All the while having obligation including repaying student debt. However, once she made the change, she felt happier as she got to offer real help to her patients. We explore the reasons why allopathic medicine and natural medicine have always been at odds especially in the United States and Europe. It is a historical rivalry where each side views the other suspiciously. We argue if it was all about health and wellness, they should coexist and complement each other.Tune in to learn more about her exciting journey and transition and what she has learn by being an insider in both worlds. Quest To Cure Cancer http://learntruehealth.com/quest-to-cure-cancer/ Embarking On The Quest To Cure Cancer I'm sure most of us have encountered a family member or a friend who underwent a quest to cure cancer. While most of you think that Stage 4 cancer is fighting a losing battle, my guest today will prove you wrong. Eric Remensperger is a lawyer by profession and developed Stage 4 cancer in May 2016. His doctor immediately told him to undergo chemotherapy, blocking off all other avenues to launch a quest to cure cancer. Doctors also informed Remensperger that he only had seven months to live. Striving To Live Healthy Remensperger resolved to live a healthier life in the early 90s when he decided to quit smoking. He became motivated to work out regularly when he moved from New York to Los Angeles in 1995. Years later, he would even get into yoga. To complement his healthier lifestyle, Remensperger likewise shifted to a low-fat, high protein diet. Apparently, his efforts seemed to be paying off because his physique improved a lot. Discovering Acupuncture While Remensperger looked like he was positively changing externally, he, on the other hand, continued to suffer from chronic health problems. Some of his health issues included frequent urination at night as well as chronic coughs and excess phlegm. Frustrated with allopathic treatments, he sought to try acupuncture, and it worked! Remensperger was so impressed with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Eventually, he went as far as investing in a wellness center that provided Holistic treatments. Dietary Change Remensperger continued his wellness journey for several years. He went through a dietary transformation and was even a vegetarian and a vegan for some time. Before his cancer diagnosis, Remensperger was on a Paleo diet. Devastating News Remensperger's world turned upside down so fast in 2016. He was attending in Texas attending a Paleo conference that time when he recalled having several physical symptoms like a cough, urination problems, and bladder spasms. After seeing a doctor two weeks after, the devastating news came in --- Stage 4 prostate cancer. Remensperger initially broke down and questioned everything he did the past several years. He was so confident about living a healthy lifestyle, so naturally, he couldn't understand why he still developed cancer despite his efforts. Starting The Quest To Cure Cancer However, Remensperger was not a quitter. He was not ready to throw in the towel. The very next day after receiving his health diagnosis, Remensperger decided to embark on a quest to cure cancer. "I woke up one morning thinking that this could be a blessing. I'm a big believer of gratitude. I thought this could be the best thing that could happen to me," Remensperger said. Past Case Studies In his quest to cure cancer, Remensperger initiated a thorough cancer research. One of the case studies he read up on was a test wherein a nucleus of a cancer cell was inserted into the cytoplasma of the healthy cell without its nucleus. The cell was injected into 60 mice. Test results showed that only one of the mice grew a tumor. Apparently, the mitochondria within the cell silenced the disease. When another group reversed the experiment, 98 % of the mice developed cancer. Hence, Remensperger said the results speak for itself. The outcome of the tests consequently tells us that obviously, cancer is a mitochondrial problem and not a DNA problem. "Everyone is producing cancer cells in their body all the time. It just a question of how your system is handling the cells" Remensperger explains. Remensperger's Road To Healing In Remensperger's case, surgery was out of the question because his type of cancer was outside the prostate. Nevertheless, Remensperger remained optimistic with his quest to cure cancer. I agree with Remensperger that having a positive outlook helps in healing not only cancer but other illnesses, too. In fact, Dr. Ryke Geerd Hamer has conducted studies wherein he proves that there is a co-relation in the emotional and mental side of things. Hamer could even trace it back by doing a brain scan. "The body created the environment to promote these illnesses, but we can support an environment to allow the body to heal," said Remensperger. "Do what you can to shift your body back to a healing state. Once you do that, cancer will start to regress." Methods of Healing In his quest to cure cancer, Remensperger discovered there are a lot of other things you can do that has a chemotherapeutic effect. These methods that are healthy and do not destroy our cells and immune system. For one thing, Remensperger advises getting oxygen into your system. He likewise used ozone treatments. According to Remensperger, ozone has been proven to be extremely toxic to cancer cells. In fact, a 1980 study showed that a small amount of ozone could inhibit 90% the growth of cancer cells. Remensperger likewise stresses that taking vitamin C is important. He says most people think of vitamin C as an antioxidant, which is true if taken in regular doses. However, in high dosages like 50 grams and above, it converts hydrogen peroxide into your system. "Getting a good sleep is also part of detoxification. Seven months later, my urologist declared that my prostate and lymph nodes are normal," shares Remensperger. "I was finally in full remission because I let my body do what it is designed to do." Healing Through Diet And Medication However, Remensperger says there is no one approach to cure cancer. You don't have to have everything dialed in correctly. But you have to have everything dialed well enough to function the way it should. So your body can do what it is designed to do, which is heal itself. "I think I got sick because I wasn't using that approach. I had those crazy shakes everyday that had 47 ingredients in it," said Remensperger. Remensperger now advises people to make shakes three days a week, which is a big part of his protocol. This is because he realized his body needed to clean itself out. "Diet is something we live with. I recommend a Ketogenic diet, wherein 65% to 70% of the diet comprises plant-based fats like avocados, nuts, and coconut oils," Remensperger said. Remensperger also found that mixing turmeric powder in tea is healing, as well as turmeric in supplement form. As for medication, Remensperger took Casodex, which is a pill that shuts off testosterone receptors. Lupron is also a common hormone therapy for men who have prostate cancer. William Hitt Medical Center Remensperger is not the only one I know who has benefitted from ozone treatments. A friend of mine had cervical cancer and became cured after getting an ozone treatment from the William Hitt Medical Center in Tijuana, Mexico. The Hitt Center provides alternative treatments for all kinds of illnesses aside from cancer. Apart from ozone treatments, they also offer amino acid supplementation. Apparently, ozone is an effective way to kill viruses. Looking Back, Moving Forward In hindsight, Remensperger says what motivated him to go on his quest to cure cancer was his skepticism towards the pharmaceutical industry. That led him to find other methods that had fewer side effects and a better outcome. "I just felt so happy waking up everyday feeling blessed, waking up to another day. That is probably the most effective thing---the energy you have for life," Remensperger said. "Priorities change when you face your mortality." Quest To Cure Cancer Website Remensperger's website launched just last May 15, 2017. He says he opted to do the website to be able to regularly update new information about cancer and available healing methods aside from the usual traditional treatments of Allopathic Medicine. Also included in the website is Remensperger's five pillars, which thoroughly explains the process of healing and its components: 1. Sources of Life Force - grounding, sunlight, hydration, oxygenation 2. Nourishment - supplements nutrition, hydration 3. Detoxification - detoxification , emotional detox, sleep 4. Movement and Play - movement passion purpose play, healthy relationships 5. Therapeutic Interventions - oxygenation, IV therapies, hygiene Eric Remensperger was a "health-nut" long before being diagnosed with cancer in 2016. He thought he was immune from chronic health problems because Remensperger thought he had a healthy lifestyle. Remensperger's experience is proof that it is unrealistic to assume that one can avoid cancer simply by eating a healthy diet, whether it's ketogenic or plant-based. He says nutrition is important, but it is only one of numerous elements. Get Connected With Eric Remensperger! Dr. Jaffe received his traditional medical education from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and currently practices spiritual healing within the Sufi tradition. He blends allopathic medicine, spiritual healing, alternative & energetic practices into a comprehensive system of healing. During his medical residency, Dr. Jaffe witnessed the miraculous healing of a young woman with end-stage hepatitis. After doctors had exhausted their options using Western medical techniques, her condition was healed using an ancient Biblical method of healing. After witnessing his patient’s miraculous recovery, Dr. Jaffe realized there were secrets to healing far beyond what he had learned in medical school. Website: http://www.dribrahimjaffe.com
