As a Christian women in this midlife season you are probably doing some sort of stretching or fitness routine to help your aching joints, menopausal belly bloat and for overall wellbeing. AND As a Christian woman, you want to hear the truth right? As a follower of Jesus, you want to hear the truth right from God's word. This conversation is rooted in biblical truth that God wants you to know about, regarding the fitness routine you may be innocently doing. More women in this midlife season are practicing yoga as they have found it is gentle on the joints. Yoga, tai chi and qigong are fitness modalities to help you build strength, stretch, relax and reduce some stress. But are they as innocent as they seem? These practices have deep and powerful spiritual roots that we all need to be aware of. The enemy is using these innocent seeming practices to twist what God clearly says is occult in His word. After all, the enemy's game is the same: to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Many believers, are inviting spiritual oppression into their lives and not even meaning to! Could this be the ROOT of some health issues that may be lingering no matter what you do? I sit down with Apostle Richard Taylor, founder of The Master's Table Ministry and Rabbonis Love INC- He brings a powerful and biblical view on the dangers of yoga tai chi and qigong and explains why it's vital that we are aware of these dangers that can deceive. I also invited Ondrea Lynn back from the Christian Woman's Weight Loss Podcast as she comes from an occult background where she was heavily involved in new age practices for 30 years. Ondrea has helped thousands of women reach their personal health and wellness goals and improve their physical and nutritional health, as well as their emotional and spiritual well-being. As always, you will want to take everything you hear today to the Lord and seek Him on this topic. We were obedient to the Lord to bring you this information and it's now up to you to seek Him for your discernment and direction. I invite you to stay to the end for a powerful prayer that Apostle Richard prays over you. As always you won't just leave with information today. Information + implementation WITH God is what will bring you healing growth and restoration. If you've been here for a while, you know the ōNLē Methodology is not about quick fixes or trendy shortcuts. It's about bringing the body back into balance so that you can truly heal from the inside out. And while there are many pieces to that, today we're focusing on just one of them - silver. This episode is a little different. You're about to hear a live recording from a session I recently hosted with our silver manufacturing partner, Doug. We had several guests joining us live and over a thousand questions submitted ahead of time. We condensed those questions down to the most common and important ones so that in this one conversation, you get answers to just about everything you've ever wondered about silver.Silver, for me, was one of the most intimidating parts of our healing journey. When our naturopath first sent me home with a couple of bottles, I had so many fears and questions. That's exactly why I wanted to have this conversation with Doug. This is an honest, transparent look at what silver actually is, how it works in the body, and what makes the silver we use in ōNLē products so different from anything else on the market. My hope is that this episode addresses your fears, answers your biggest questions, and gives you the confidence to use this tool as part of your own healing journey. Because that's what the ōNLē Methodology is about: education first, so you can lead your own healing with confidence. Thanks for listening! You've heard the figure that most MDs get less than 10-20 hours of nutrition and food training in medical school, and Dr. Katja Rowell (MD!) thinks this is a tragedy. There are some tough moments to hear in this interview, but important ones as we work to raise healthy, independent kids into adulthood. We talked about:What "extreme" picky eating is How bad therapy can hurt a child's relationship with food and family to his/her great detriment, and how you can identify it.Why responsive feeding is different, respectful to the child, and ultimately worlds more effective. Some of the good doctor's regrets about her early years in practice The perils of diet culture for all ages and how we can begin to protect our youth through using the right language and expectationsHow we need to work with extreme and mild picky eaters differently (Spoiler: we don't!)The 5 foundations a good responsive feeding approach boils down to, and how so many families see success Dr. Rowell also said that sugar isn't addictive and doesn't need to be villainized as unhealthy...and with the knowledge and experience I have at this very moment in time, I disagree. But I think it's wonderful that we can learn so much from experts yet also learn to filter everything through our own intellect. I'm totally open to change on this issue, but I also believe it's ok to disagree.Resources We Mention for Extreme Picky EatingDr. Rowell's books: Helping Your Child With Extremely Picky Eating, Conquer Picky Eating for Teens and AdultsTake the free No More Picky Eating Challenge now!Ellyn Satter's Division of ResponsibilitiesMore on feeding a child with sensory processing difficulties, highly sensitive children, and autism from a functional medicine perspectiveYou can connect with Dr. Rowell online at The Feeding Doctor or Extreme Picky EatingFollow her on YouTubeMore resources Dr. Rowell sent me after our interview:Dieticians 4 TeachersThe Feeding Humans PodcastThe Comfort Food Podcast episode on sugarThank you to today's sponsor, Happsy! Grandpa Bill's Brain Fuel: The Top Supplements Dr. Amen Recommends for a Healthier MindGrandpa Bill here. For the past few days, we've been on a mission to improve our brain health. We've talked about a great workout for the mind, but today, we're going to dive into what to feed it. Dr. Daniel Amen, a man who has looked at more brain scans than almost anyone, teaches us that you can't have a healthy mind without the right fuel. So, let's talk about his top supplement suggestions—the brain-boosting heroes you might want to add to your daily routine.Remember, always talk to your doctor before starting any new supplement. They're your co-pilot on this journey. If you think of your brain as a house, Omega-3s (like DHA and EPA) are the high-quality lumber. They are a core component of your brain cell membranes. Dr. Amen considers them foundational for memory, mood, and overall brain structure. This trio of B vitamins works together to create energy in the brain. They also help clear away a substance that can be harmful to our blood vessels, keeping the pathways clear for good blood flow. Think of them as the team that keeps the lights on in your mind, ensuring your brain has the juice to function optimally.Choline is a key nutrient your body uses to create a messenger for memory called acetylcholine. Having enough choline is like having a reliable mail carrier—it helps ensure that your memory messages get delivered quickly and accurately. You might think these are just for your stomach, but your gut is often called your "second brain." The healthy bacteria in your gut send signals to your mind that can help manage stress and anxiety. A happy gut often means a happier brain!Dr. Amen points to mushrooms like Cordyceps and Reishi. These are known as "adaptogens," meaning they help your body and brain handle stress more effectively. They don't create a buzz; they train your brain to be more resilient, like a personal trainer building strength. These are powerful compounds that fight inflammation throughout your body, including your brain. Inflammation can harm brain cells over time, so Curcumin and Quercetin act like a cleanup crew, reducing swelling and protecting your mind from damage. This one is crucial for everyone! Vitamin D is vital for mood and overall brain health. Studies show that a lack of Vitamin D is common and can be tied to feelings of sadness. Getting enough of this "sunshine vitamin" can make a world of difference.Rounding out the list, Saffron is a great mood booster, while Ginkgo Biloba helps promote healthy blood flow to the brain. So, there you have it, folks. By giving your brain the right fuel, you're not just taking supplements; you're building a healthier, happier you from the inside out.Keep that body and mind moving!1. In this episode of Ask Dr. Tony, Dr. Tony Ebel breaks down the modern understanding of subluxation and how it affects children's neurological development. Moving beyond the outdated "pinched nerve" theory, Dr. Tony explains how subluxation is actually a sensory input problem that creates "noisy brain syndrome" in children with autism, ADHD, and anxiety. He reveals why the brain itself is typically fine in these children - it's getting bad information due to fixation and reduced proprioception from spinal misalignment. Dr. Tony emphasizes that the neuromotor system's input is more crucial to brain function than gut health, challenging common assumptions about childhood developmental challenges. This episode provides hope for parents by explaining that their children's brains have all the necessary components to heal and function properly once the interference is addressed.-----Links & Resources:For a deeper understanding of subluxation and its effect on children's health: Read this article-----Key Topics & Timestamps([00:01:00]) - The Sequence of Subluxation: From Physical Trauma to Misalignment([00:02:00]) - Old vs. New Theory: Moving Beyond the "Pinched Nerve" Model([00:04:00]) - The Real Issue: Subluxation as a Sensory Input Problem([00:05:00]) - Hope for Parents: The Brain is Fine, It's Just Getting Bad Information([00:06:00]) - Noisy Brain Syndrome: Why Kids Can't Hear Instructions-- Follow us on Socials: Instagram: @pxdocs Facebook: Dr. Tony Ebel & The PX Docs Network Youtube: The PX Docs For more information, visit PXDocs.com to read informative articles about the power of Neurologically-Focused Chiropractic Care. What do you think of when you hear “topical herbs”? Chances are, you think about putting herbs on your skin, perhaps in the form of creams, salves, or poultices. But this is only one type of topical application. In herbal medicine, topical use is much broader than applying medicine to the skin (though this is also a critical treatment). Any time an herb comes into direct contact with the tissue it's meant to treat—whether the skin, or the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract or digestive tract—it is acting topically. Here's what you'll learn in this post: The broader definition of topical application, beyond application to the skin How herbs act topically in the respiratory tract, digestive system, female reproductive system, and on the skin Key herbal actions like vulnerary, antimicrobial, demulcent, and more for topical use Preparations for topical use, such as poultices, infused oils, liniments, and medicated neti pots Recommended herbs for each organ system and their unique roles in healing Important cautions and considerations for using topical herbal remedies safely ———————————— CONNECT WITH SAJAH AND WHITNEY ———————————— To get free in depth mini-courses and videos, visit our blog at: http://www.evolutionaryherbalism.com Get daily inspiration and plant wisdom on our Facebook and Instagram channels: http://www.facebook.com/EvolutionaryHerbalism https://www.instagram.com/evolutionary_herbalism/ Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyP63opAmcpIAQg1M9ShNSQ Get a free 5-week course when you buy a copy of the book, Evolutionary Herbalism: https://www.evolutionaryherbalism.com/evolutionary-herbalism-book/ Shop our herbal products: https://naturasophiaspagyrics.com/ ———————————— ABOUT THE PLANT PATH ———————————— The Plant Path is a window into the world of herbal medicine. If you are a Christian woman in this midlife season, start taking your Biblical Supplements DAILY! I promise they will benefit you not only in this midlife season but for LIFE! What am I talking about? This is part 2 of a mini series I did on biblical supplements that every Christian woman in the midlife season needs. On episode 313, we discussed the first 2 biblical supplements every Christian woman needs especially in the midlife season: perseverance and self-control. If you missed that, you aren't out of order! You can easily go back after todays episode or you can pause me now to go grab ep. 313 if you like to start from the beginning. Walking out what the bible says takes time and intentionality. It's the action of surrendering to what we read in God's word and what we hear Him say to us. Unlike actual supplements that you swallow for more energy, better sleep or smoother digestion, that you may or may not take each day, these 4 biblical supplements are non-negotiable. We dive into the final two biblical supplements: knowledge and godliness. I speak about the world's way of knowledge vs God's way of knowledge. VASTLY different. For example, if you turn to artificial knowledge.... you will get artificial results. This is why advocating for oneself is so vital! You are seeking the Lord for his knowledge and then you are boldly advocating for yourself and your family. Settle in with your notebook and bible as you digest your biblical supplements! I pray this blesses you and strengthens you today! Dr. Hoffman continues his conversation with Dr. Ramona Wallace.
For many, integrative medicine has become an unattainable luxury, and healthy diet and lifestyle the prerogative of the privileged. Today's guest, Dr. Ramona Wallace, is attempting to change that. Trained conventionally as a DO, she undertook additional training and certification via the Institute for Functional Medicine to broaden her clinical skills. She practices primary care in an underserved community in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where she incorporates diet and lifestyle recommendations to address her patients' chronic conditions. Careful nutritional assessment has revealed that many of her patients, while overtly overweight, are decidedly malnourished. She has documented a wide range of deficiencies—of B vitamins, vitamins A, C, and D, critical minerals like zinc and magnesium, even full-blown scurvy. These are precisely the patients who are most likely to benefit from nutritional support. Discovering obstacles to compliance is a key element to effect their health transformations. Dr. Wallace believes that individualized care is the key to reversing long-standing health conditions. She mentors medical students in the first-of-its-kind Functional Medicine program at a medical school. She has also co-authored a landmark paper arguing for wellness self-care by doctors, to stave off burnout and to help them be better role models for patients.
