Mr. Beast
Biography Flash MrBeast Hits 500 Million Subscribers and Expands His Empire

Mr. Beast

Mr. Beast Biography Flash a weekly Biography. Jimmy Donaldson, better known as Mr Beast, is in the middle of another headline heavy stretch, with the biggest verified development being the confirmation from YouTube that he has become the first individual creator to reach 500 million subscribers. YouTube says the milestone marks a new peak in creator scale and cements his long term status as the defining figure of the platform.[10] On the business side, MrBeast is also expanding his media empire beyond video. PR Newswire reports that Beast Industries and Moose Games have debuted MrBeast The Ultimate Game, a board game inspired by his challenge format, with presales already underway and a wider retail rollout planned for July and August. That matters biographically because it shows he is no longer just a creator, but a cross platform entertainment brand with consumer products.[6] Another major long range development is the North Carolina film grant for Beast Games Season 3. According to the News and Observer, the state awarded the production a 15 million dollar grant, the maximum rebate available, implying at least 60 million dollars in planned in state spending by Amazon and MrBeast. That is a significant signal that his reality competition franchise is becoming a major production asset, not just a one off stunt.[3] In the past few days, social chatter has been intense around a resurfaced 2023 interview clip in which MrBeast said he could launch a brand new channel without using his face or voice and without promotion. That clip is circulating again on Instagram, though the current discussion is speculative and should be treated as commentary rather than fresh news.[2] There is also unverified online buzz about his recent earnings, with Instagram posts claiming he accidentally exposed 24 million dollars in YouTube revenue over 30 days. Those claims are not confirmed by MrBeast or by a primary financial filing, so they remain rumor level only.[4][7] A YouTube video posted three days ago is also framing a recent MrBeast situation as escalating, but it is commentary from a drama channel rather than a primary source, so it should be weighted low for verification.[1] For the audience, the big picture is simple. MrBeast is still growing at historic scale, still monetizing into new formats, and still generating the kind of online obsession that turns every clip, launch, and leak into a fresh chapter of the biography. TP489: The Advocate - Marketing as the Voice in the Room

touch point podcast

Play Episode Listen Later May 27, 2026 30:58

For twenty years, hearing the patient meant owning a Voice of Customer program. A survey, a tool, a dashboard you showed the board. On May 18, Qualtrics closed its 6.75 billion dollar acquisition of Press Ganey Forsta. The instrument the majority of U.S. hospitals use to hear their patients is now part of a cross-industry experience platform with its own roadmap. Chris Boyer and Reed Smith take that deal apart and ask who, inside the building, still works for the patient once the listening tool belongs to someone else. This is the third Touch Point in a row circling the same observation. TP485 argued digital equity is a clinical operations problem the health system can no longer outsource. TP487 argued the front door moved off the property. TP489 closes the pattern. The listening apparatus moved too. The episode argues marketing should stop being the collector of patient voice and become its advocate. Owning a program means making the signal presentable. Advocacy means being the named person accountable for the patient's voice surviving contact with a budget meeting. That role has a cost, and the episode names it plainly. If your health system would not fund a single internal advocate to carry the patient's voice into the room, you have already priced what that voice is worth to you. In this episode of Winners Find A Way, Trent Clark sits down with Mickie Kennedy, founder and president of eReleases, to break down why 97% of press releases fail — and what successful businesses do differently. Mickie shares how storytelling, earned media, and strategic PR can help small and mid-sized businesses stand out in today's noisy digital world. From building compelling headlines to using AI the right way, this conversation is packed with practical insights for entrepreneurs, authors, and business owners looking to build credibility and visibility through media. The episode also dives into Mickie's personal journey from poet and creative writer to building a nationally recognized PR company serving thousands of businesses. In This Episode Why most press releases never get picked up The difference between syndication vs earned media How journalists actually choose stories Why storytelling matters more than company announcements How to use AI effectively for press releases The power of surveys and industry data in PR Why great quotes can make or break media coverage How small businesses can compete for national attention Mickie's journey from poetry to entrepreneurship Key Takeaways Storytelling Wins The best PR campaigns focus on human stories, transformation, and emotion — not just product features. Earned Media Matters Real credibility comes from journalists writing about your business, not just publishing your release on random websites. AI Is a Tool — Not the Strategy AI can help structure and improve writing, but businesses still need strategic angles and compelling narratives. Industry Surveys Create Authority Creating and publishing original survey data is one of the fastest ways to become a thought leader in your industry. Great Quotes Increase Pickups Strong, memorable quotes help journalists build better stories and increase the likelihood your company gets featured. Memorable Quotes "Most press releases fail because they read like ads." — Mickie Kennedy "Stories sell. Data supports the story." — Trent Clark "AI should help you write better — not decide what's newsworthy." — Mickie Kennedy "A great quote is your Trojan horse into the article." — Mickie Kennedy About Mickie Kennedy Mickie Kennedy is the founder and president of eReleases, a PR distribution service helping small businesses, startups, and authors gain real media exposure through PR Newswire distribution and strategic press release campaigns. He is also the author of PR Strategy Manifesto and A Beginner's Guide to Press Release Writing. Welcome to Ozempic Weightloss Unlocked, where we dive into the latest news on Ozempic, from medical breakthroughs to lifestyle impacts.Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic and Wegovy, just announced a strategic partnership with OpenAI. Daily Sabah reports this collaboration will use artificial intelligence to speed up new medication development and deliver better treatments faster. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it will accelerate scientific discovery and redefine patient care, with full integration by the end of 2026.In other big news, Apotex received the first United States Food and Drug Administration tentative approval for a generic version of Ozempic, semaglutide injection. PR Newswire and Apotex announcements highlight this milestone, developed with Orbicular, which could broaden access to affordable options once patents expire. Pearce IP Law notes it positions Apotex to launch early, following generics in India from companies like Dr Reddys and Sun Pharma.Novo Nordisk also launched a higher dose Wegovy HD at 7.2 milligrams for weight loss, approved under a priority program and now available in the United States.A new study in Genome Medicine, reported by Stanford Medicine and Science Daily, explains why Ozempic does not work for everyone. About one in ten people have genetic variants causing GLP-1 resistance, where their bodies produce more of the hormone but respond poorly, especially for blood sugar control. Lead researcher Anna Gloyn notes these variants reduce effectiveness after months of treatment. It is unclear yet if this affects weight loss at higher doses.University of Washington endocrinologist David Cummings praises GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic for strong evidence in weight reduction, diabetes control, heart and kidney protection, arthritis relief, and sleep apnea improvement. Observational data suggests benefits against obesity-related cancers, substance abuse, and possibly dementia. As supply stabilizes post-shortage, compounded semaglutide remains available through certain pharmacies, but regulations tightened in 2026, per Injectco. These updates show Ozempic evolving, blending innovation with personalized health insights for better lifestyles.Thank you for tuning in, listeners. Fossil vs Future
WHAT ABOUT SUPER POLLUTANTS? A quick fix or an overlooked threat?

Fossil vs Future

Although we often focus on carbon dioxide, a group of powerful pollutants is also driving a large share of today's warming… In this episode, James and Daisy talk about super pollutants. Why are they important? Why are they worse for the climate? How can we reduce their use? SOME RECOMMENDATIONS: The Global Methane Pledge (GMP) – Launched at COP26 by the EU and the US, the GMP now has 160 participants who agree to take voluntary actions to reduce global methane emissions by at least 30% from 2020 levels by 2030, potentially eliminating over 0.2ºC warming by 2050. Methane has caused 30% of warming since the Industrial Revolution. The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) – A voluntary partnership of over 200 governments, intergovernmental organizations, businesses, scientific institutions and civil society organizations committed to protecting the climate and improving air quality by reducing short-lived super pollutants (methane, black carbon, tropospheric ozone and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)). The CCAC drives efforts to implement known practices and existing technologies that can achieve global reductions of at least 40% of methane by 2030 (vs 2010); 70% of black carbon by 2030 (vs 2010); and 99.5% of HFCs by 2050 (vs 2010).OTHER ADVOCATES AND RESOURCES:UNEP (2024) – Interactive cartoons explaining the science of super pollutants.  UNEP – Parties to the Montreal Protocol (2016 Kigali Amendment) agreed to phase down HFCs by 80-85% by the late 2040s.CCAC (2024) – Super pollutants are a “flow” problem (controlling how fast the planet warms) whereas carbon dioxide is a “stock” problem (controlling the maximum extent of warming).CCAC – Methane has an atmospheric lifetime of 12 years (much shorter than CO2) but per unit of mass, has a warming effect 86x stronger than CO2 over 20 years and 28x over 100 years.UNEP – The International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) launched the Methane Alert and Response System (MARS) at COP27– the first public global satellite detection system providing actionable methane emissions data.PR Newswire (2026) – A group of companies including Amazon, Autodesk, Figma, Google, JPMorganChase, Salesforce, and Workday announced a $100 million Superpollutant Action Initiative.Carbon Brief (2025) – Super pollutants are responsible for around 45% of global warming to date, as well as millions of premature deaths each year. Human-caused methane emissions come from: (1) Agriculture (~40%), such as from livestock and rice production; (2) Fossil fuels (~35%), as a by-product of fossil fuel extraction, storage and distribution; and (3) Waste (~20%), from food and other organic materials decaying in landfills and wastewater.UK Government (2025) – The UK's Methane Action Plan notes that UK methane emissions have reduced by 62% between 1990 and 2023. IPCC (2023) – “Global Warming Potential (GWP) is an index measuring the radiative forcing following an emission of a unit mass of a given substance, accumulated over a chosen time horizon, relative to that of the reference substance, CO2.”  National Grid (2025) – Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) has a GWP of 24,300 and an atmospheric lifetime of 3,200 years. 80% of the SF6 used globally is in electricity transmission and distribution.European Commission – The EU Methane Regulation (EU/2024/1787) entered into force on 4 August 2024. It aims to reduce methane emissions into the atmosphere, both in the EU and in global supply chains, and to minimise leaks of methane by fossil energy companies operating in the EU.EMSA – From 1 January 2026, the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) has incorporated methane and nitrous oxide for maritime transport.Thank you for listening! Expectations for leaders have shifted, and the data proves it. According to the 2025 National Conversations in the Workplace Study, 85% of working Americans think leaders should be held to a higher standard for communication and preparation. Influence of Others: Roughly 87% of executives consider the impact of their choices on others when making decisions. Rationalization vs. Reality: Approximately 78% of business leaders admit that people often make decisions first and then look for data to justify them, according to CNBC and PR Newswire. Debra Bowers is a leadership, marketing, and sales culture strategist, the founder of Hexagon Media, and the host of the long-running podcast Deals with Heels. She works with business owners, executives, and revenue leaders to build growth rooted in clarity, psychology, and human behavior—without hype or hustle culture. Debra brings both corporate and entrepreneurial experience to conversations about leadership, sales, and decision-making.  Most businesses don't stall because they lack effort. They stall because something is misaligned — the message, the strategy, the visibility, or the way sales and marketing work together. I work with business owners and leaders when growth feels stuck, scattered, or underwhelming — and they want clarity before making their next move. My role is diagnostic first. Before tactics, before ads, before “doing more,” we identify what's actually holding growth back and where focus will create the greatest impact. Through this work, I've seen the same pattern repeat: When message, strategy, and visibility align, growth becomes simpler, more sustainable, and more human. I work best with: • Business owners and leaders • Consultants and service-based professionals • Brands ready for honest strategy, not surface-level tactics • Teams who want clarity before committing time or budget If your growth feels harder than it should — or you're investing effort without seeing the return — a strategic conversation can often bring clarity faster than expected. You don't need more noise. You need insight, alignment, and a clear path forward.     For more information: https://hexagonmedia.net/ Listen: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/deals-with-heels/id1708622990 Learn more about your ad choices. In this in-depth conversation, we welcome back Mickie Kennedy, founder of eReleases, to break down how strategic press releases are still one of the most powerful — and misunderstood — tools for business growth. Mickie reveals why 97% of press releases fail, how entrepreneurs can access PR Newswire at a fraction of the cost, and why thinking like a journalist — not a marketer — is the key to getting earned media coverage. We also explore how AI platforms, social media creators, influencers, and journalists now rely on press releases for real-time content, why recency matters for AI search results, and how service-based businesses (including health coaches and consultants) can leverage press releases without selling physical products. If you're tired of paid ads, low trust marketing, or getting lost in the noise, this episode will change how you think about PR, visibility, and authority forever. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why 97% of press releases never get picked up — and how to be in the 3% that do How to distribute press releases nationally through PR Newswire for 25–33% of the normal cost The biggest mistake businesses make when writing press releases How earned media consistently outperforms paid ads in trust and conversions Why AI tools (like ChatGPT and search assistants) pull from press releases How press releases help businesses show up in AI recommendations Why recency beats authority in AI-driven search results How influencers, TikTok creators, and Instagram media professionals use press releases How health coaches, consultants, and service providers can use press releases effectively Why storytelling, case studies, and quotes matter more than product features How to use AI the right way when writing press releases (and what NOT to outsource to AI) Why TV, morning shows, and digital media still matter — and how to pitch them visually How to structure press release campaigns for long-term ROI instead of one-off wins Key Topics Covered Press Release Strategy Earned Media vs Paid Advertising PR Newswire Access AI Search & Content Discovery Media Relations in the Social Media Era PR for Small Businesses & Entrepreneurs PR for Health Coaches & Service Providers Using AI in Public Relations Storytelling & Case Studies in Marketing About the Guest Mickie Kennedy is the founder of eReleases, a press release distribution service that provides affordable access to PR Newswire while teaching businesses how to write strategic, journalist-friendly press releases that actually get results. With decades of experience in public relations, Mickie has helped entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and small businesses earn national media coverage — without wasting money on ineffective PR tactics. On December 22, Huberman Lab released a gripping three-plus-hour episode with artist David Choe, diving deep into transforming pain and trauma into creative fuel, touching on hope, faith, even Santa Claus, as noted on the official Huberman Lab site. Just days earlier, on December 18, he unveiled a goal-setting hack episode urging listeners to visualize failure for success, highlighted by Apple Podcasts as a bombshell from Huberman Lab Essentials. The real standout came December 17 via PRNewswire, when Huberman guested on Punk Rock Sober, chatting profound topics like fear, gratitude, addiction, and punk rock sobriety with host Tyler Ramsey and his nine-year-old son River. This groundbreaking multigenerational talk, released December 15 and now on YouTube, redefined norms with Hubermans humble insights on bravery as showing up amid fear, landing big with recovery crowds.A niche ripple hit December 19 on YouTube, where SunPowerLEDs Tom Kerber reviewed Hubermans recent two-part interview with Dr. Glen Jeffery on light therapy for brain health, concussions, PTSD, even dementia and Parkinsons, praising its vision-boosting potential. No major public appearances or business moves surfaced, and social media buzz stays steady with fans on Huberman Lab praising his digestible science. Unconfirmed whispers of broader LED therapy expansions linger from that review, but nothing verified. Michael Phelps BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Michael Phelps has been busy writing new footnotes to his legend, both in the boardroom and on Instagram, and the past few days show exactly why his name refuses to leave the headlines. Sports Business Journal's newly released Influence 125 package, highlighted via PR Newswire and SBJ, names Michael Phelps alongside Simone Biles and Allyson Felix as one combined entry on its list of the most influential figures in sports business over the past 25 years, cementing him not just as the greatest swimmer of all time but as a long-term power player in the business of sport. That editorial recognition carries real biographical weight, framing him as a multi-decade force whose influence now stretches from the pool deck to sponsorships, mental health advocacy, and media. On the lighter side, Pro Football Network reports that Phelps popped up in baseball news when he reacted on Instagram to star slugger Pete Alonso signing a five year, 155 million dollar deal with the Baltimore Orioles, his lifelong favorite team. The site notes that Phelps posted a shocked face and Lets gooooo to his story, a small social media moment, but one wrapped in nostalgia because his late father once worked security at the Orioles stadium and gave young Michael rare access to the ballpark. That emotional tie turns a simple fan reaction into another glimpse of Phelps as Baltimore's most decorated sports son still rooting hard from the stands.Good Morning America recently revisited his family life, recirculating and updating coverage of Phelps as a father of four boys with wife Nicole, spotlighting their youngest son Nico's first birthday party and the family's Paris Olympic trip, details that continue to shape the softer chapters of his public persona. There are also fresh side door mentions as outlets revisit his legacy around swimming stories, such as EssentiallySports invoking Phelps while covering former teammate Ryan Lochte's decision to sell some of his Olympic medals. So far, there are no credible reports in the last few days of a competitive comeback or major new business venture beyond the SBJ Influence 125 honor; any social media chatter suggesting a return to elite racing appears speculative and is not supported by verified reporting.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Michael Phelps BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.I am Biosnap AI, and over the past few days Michael Phelps has been in the news less as a racer in the pool and more as a power player reshaping the sport and his post‑Olympic image. EssentiallySports reports that his recent public outcry over athlete safety and leadership failures at USA Swimming after the illness‑marred World Aquatics Championships is already bearing fruit, with the federation installing new CEO Kevin Ring and openly signaling that Phelps is expected to play an active advisory role as LA 2028 looms. That is long term biographical material: the greatest swimmer of all time evolving into a quasi kingmaker and watchdog for the national program he once carried. Sports Business Journal's new Influence 125 list, announced via PR Newswire and highlighted in SBJ's Olympics coverage, further cements that narrative, grouping Phelps alongside Simone Biles and Allyson Felix as one of the most influential figures in sports business over the past quarter century, honored not just for medals but for how he has used his platform on mental health and athlete welfare. On the softer business and branding front, Triathlete recently noted a multi‑year partnership between Phelps and H2O Audio, tying his name to waterproof audio tech and reinforcing his status as a premium aquatic lifestyle brand rather than a retired ex‑pro. At the grassroots level, YourValley in Arizona reported that the city of Surprise secured a grant to host a swim program through the Michael Phelps Foundation, a reminder that his name is still moving city budgets and entry‑level swim access policy in 2025. In charitable circles his stature remains high, as March of Dimes coverage of its New York Sports Luncheon shows him grouped with marquee names like Jason Kelce and Katie Ledecky as headline honorees helping raise seven figures for maternal and infant health, even when the formal award went to others on the dais. On the pop culture side, AOL recently fixated on his bearded look and fan reactions during his appearance at the World Wide Technology Championship golf event in Cabo, while Sportskeeda amplified his social media presence by highlighting his reaction to Team USA hockey stars naming their all time favorites and resurfacing his comments on daily self improvement. There are no credible reports of major new controversies, only speculative social chatter about whether his deepening involvement with USA Swimming could one day formalize into an official leadership or Olympic organizing role, which remains unconfirmed.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Shakira BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Shakira's week has been a whirlwind of headlines spanning family drama, international touring, business innovation, and high-profile entertainment, crystallizing her status as both global pop icon and relentless entrepreneur. The rumor mill spun into overdrive when Catalan outlets claimed Shakira's 94-year-old father, William Mebarak, took a severe turn for the worse, alarming fans and sending social media buzzing with concern. Yet sources close to Shakira assured ¡HOLA! Magazine that these claims were exaggerated. Mebarak is not hospitalized but is instead comfortably resting at his Miami home, under attentive care. Shakira's calm is reflected in her decision to press on with her wildly successful Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour across Latin America, suggesting the family situation, while delicate, is under control.Touring, however, has delivered its own mix of triumph and turbulence. Just days ago in Quito, Shakira wrapped up her Ecuador tour with what ISNA News called a “modest and subdued” concert, noting many fans left disappointed by the low energy and scaled-back production. This performance, according to ISNA and 24TV, highlights a trend of waning demand in certain markets: Ecuadorian authorities even canceled some planned shows citing tepid ticket sales and safety concerns, a rare hiccup for an artist accustomed to sold-out arenas. Concert industry analysts, including The Nation, nevertheless underscore her overall global dominance, noting she was just crowned Billboard's Global Touring Icon after her tour grossed historic numbers this year. Her next major stop is Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru, scheduled for November 15.Balancing artistry with business savvy, Shakira is making headlines for teaming up with AIR Shop, a Moca Network project backed by Animoca Brands, to put Shakira concert ticketing on blockchain rails. According to a release via PRNewswire, this move lets fans buy tickets worldwide and earn digital rewards, marking a new era in real-world blockchain entertainment transactions and potentially reshaping ticketing industry standards. On the entertainment front, Shakira is captivating younger audiences as Disney just unveiled her new music video “Zoo” for Zootopia 2, where she also reprises her vocal role as Gazelle. The song, co-written with Ed Sheeran, is poised for a Disney+ and theatrical push, likely boosting her cross-generational appeal.Meanwhile, gossip sites like The Auto Wire report on Shakira's splashy Miami lifestyle upgrade: she reportedly spent around $15 million relocating her collection of luxury cars from Spain post-divorce, a story eagerly devoured by fans online. All told, even as one of her shows underwhelmed in Ecuador, Shakira remains firmly in the global spotlight, mixing music, business moves, family loyalty, and pure celebrity spectacle—her recent trajectory revealing both the risks and rewards of operating at the pinnacle of fame.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Outfitted in bold style—Peso in a sharply tailored tux with his trademark undone bowtie, Kenia in a glamorous, sheer black dress with a striking blue feathered stole—they stunned the cameras and set social media abuzz. According to Hola!, their chemistry was undeniable both on the carpet and onstage, where Kenia made headlines presenting Peso Pluma with the ceremony's first-ever Vanguard Award. The couple's public affection, including a kiss in view of the crowd, quickly trended online. Latin Times emphasized the magnitude of the moment not just for their romance but for fashion: Peso wore a Jacob & Co. Caviar Tourbillon watch valued at $880,000 while Kenia dazzled in $400,000 diamond earrings, marking them as the evening's style icons.Peso's performance of his new single Turn Off the Light (or Apaga La Luz) drew accolades for his energy and the significance of the genre-bending corridos tumbados, which the Vanguard Award specifically recognized. His acceptance speech, filled with praise for Kenia and the artists behind him, was widely shared across music blogs and social platforms, further solidifying his leadership in Mexican music's global ascent.Businesswise, the buzz continued in Las Vegas, where Cymbiotika Wellness Bar at Fontainebleau created a Peso Pluma signature smoothie. PR Newswire reports that the launch coincided with Peso's appearance at ComplexCon 2025, where he attracted a massive crowd and personally interacted with fans at meet-and-greets. The exclusive smoothie features ingredients like oats, coconut milk, liposomal mushrooms, and dates—marketed as the ultimate pre-show or pre-workout boost, reflecting Peso's emphasis on wellness and daily performance.Complex highlighted Peso Pluma as a top draw at the star-studded ComplexCon alongside names like Yeat and Clipse, underscoring his broad crossover success. On the flip side, AOL reported Peso Pluma recently canceled an Indiana concert following cartel death threats—a reminder of ongoing security concerns that periodically impact his touring schedule. While unconfirmed rumors about beefs or splits have circulated online, all verified reports point only to a flourishing career and high-profile romance. For now, Peso Pluma remains not just a trending artist but a genuine force in music, fashion, and business, with his latest headlines echoing far beyond Latin pop.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

In this episode, we have Mickie Kennedy, founder of eReleases, who turned a creative‑writing degree and a grueling wait‑staff job into a 25‑year PR career that helps small businesses get national media coverage without the huge budgets of big brands. He learned early that raw data alone doesn't attract journalists; stories need a hook and context. By building a Rolodex of ~10,000 journalists and partnering with PR Newswire for high‑volume, discounted distribution, he provides an affordable alternative to costly newswire services. Kennedy's key growth hack is a “survey‑and‑trade‑association” tactic: commission niche industry surveys, get trade groups to distribute them, and issue press releases that spotlight surprising findings. The resulting resource pages earn dozens of editorial links, boost SEO, and turn thin‑content sites into recognized thought‑leaders. He stresses targeting the right journalists, avoiding generic email blasts, and using contrarian angles to stand out—plus trusting hires, avoiding micromanagement, and constantly split‑testing processes.  Website: www.ereleases.com LinkedIn: Mickie Kennedy   Check out our CEO Hack Buzz Newsletter–our premium newsletter with hacks and nuggets to level up your organization. Cristiano Ronaldo BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Cristiano Ronaldo has commanded global headlines in the past few days as the face of one of the most high-profile tourism campaigns of the year. Saudi Tourism launched its sweeping “Unreal Calendar” initiative on September 2, putting Ronaldo not just at the center of advertising but positioning him as the living embodiment of a new Saudi Arabia—one that's inviting the world far beyond its football stadiums. In lavishly produced TV spots and multilingual digital campaigns rolling out across Europe, India, and China, Ronaldo beckons audiences with the line “I Came for Football, I Stayed For More,” showing off everything from the adrenaline of packed stadiums to the vibrance of film premieres, fashion weeks, high-octane motorsport, and deeply-rooted desert festivals. According to the campaign's core message and Saudi government officials, Ronaldo is lending global credibility to the country's Vision 2030, an era-defining drive to diversify the kingdom's economy and cultural image. From camels to esports, Red Sea film festivals to Formula 1, the ads depict Ronaldo absorbing it all, and his voice leads viewers into the new Saudi—a nation that wants to be a year-round destination, not just a football pilgrimage according to the Economic Times and Arab News.Beyond the screen, the campaign is already being held up as a case study in using celebrity influence to shift perceptions, with tourism authorities making clear that their aim is more international visitors and a deeper sense of Saudi as a place of modern possibility. Ronaldo himself, now the highest-paid athlete in the world according to The Big Lead, publicly praised Saudi's mix of “heritage and ambition,” noting in multiple interviews that he never saw himself becoming part of such a journey but now feels the country is where the “future of sport” is being written.Social media has responded in kind: Ronaldo's campaign content has been trending across platforms, with Visit Saudi's official Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) accounts featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes material and Ronaldo's personal praise for the country's efforts. There was a brief stir online after Ronaldo posted a cryptic message about his future, leading to speculation among fans and internet detectives, but no major news outlets have confirmed any club or personal upheaval. In terms of business, Ronaldo's role is widely seen as a strategic partnership—a bridge from Saudi's sporting ambitions to its bid for cultural global relevance, as reported by Brand Vision Insights and PR Newswire. For long-term significance, this week's campaign anchors Ronaldo's continued evolution from global athlete to international business and cultural figure—cementing his place in not just football's, but also tourism and brand history.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton is riding another wave of headlines this August, reflecting both recent loss and enduring legacy. According to a Country Music Alley report and her own social media, Dolly mourned the passing of her lifelong friend Jeannie Seely on August 1st, only months after losing her husband Carl Dean. Her heartfelt online tributes have been widely picked up by fans and entertainment outlets, many echoing the significance of these relationships from her early Nashville days. The emotional weight of these losses is palpable but it's also drawn a rush of public support and condolences across Twitter and Instagram, amplifying Dolly's powerful role as a figure of comfort and resilience for millions.Professionally, Dolly revealed an eagerly awaited Las Vegas residency set for December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The six-show run is timed with the National Finals Rodeo, and fans have flooded her social platforms with excitement. As referenced by TODAY.com, tickets went on sale last week and VIP packages include photo ops and exclusive merchandise, marking her return to Vegas after nearly a decade. Throughout the concert series, she'll showcase hits spanning her seven-decade career, reinforcing her relevance with both nostalgic and new listeners. In tandem with these performances, Parade magazine noted Dolly's announcement of a collectible vinyl release of her 2008 Live From London concert, out October 10. The vinyl comes in three unique editions and pre-sales have been brisk, driven by nostalgic fans and vinyl collectors alike.Business-wise, Parton's empire continues to expand and evolve. PR Newswire and major financial outlets like Forbes and The Tradable confirm her net worth has climbed to $650 million, with Dollywood and a suite of branded ventures like Doggy Parton pet gear and cookware thriving. On August 20, Dolly issued a statement about a business and philanthropy leadership transition: longtime advisor Ted Miller will retire, and Jeff Conyers, current head of her Dollywood Foundation, will take over as senior liaison next year. Industry insiders see this as a move to solidify succession and preserve her philanthropic vision for decades, especially regarding the Imagination Library program.Fans should also watch for her upcoming book Star of the Show: My Life on Stage due out in November and ongoing work on a Broadway musical about her life, slated for 2026 with ATG Productions. Local impact remains strong as Dolly continues supporting medical centers and education in Tennessee, actions highlighted by finance and philanthropic reports. On Broadway, Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol is scheduled for return performances on tour, blending her songwriting with Dickens to acclaim from critics and family audiences alike.Speculation and unconfirmed rumors have swirled about additional surprise TV appearances and collaborations, but no major news outlet has verified new music releases or cameo roles for August beyond the aforementioned public engagements. Dolly Parton BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Dolly Parton has dominated headlines and social media this week with a whirlwind of business moves, heartfelt reflections, and high-wattage showbiz spectacle. On August 20th, Dolly announced a pivotal leadership shift for her business and philanthropic empire, naming Jeff Conyers, already president of The Dollywood Foundation, as her new senior business representative for all things Dollywood and charity while longtime advisor Ted Miller prepares to retire at year's end. According to PR Newswire, Dolly praised Conyers' deep understanding of her values and made it clear she's securing her vision and legacy for decades to come.Turning from business to pure pleasure, the entertainment world lit up with news that Dolly will return for her first major Las Vegas residency in 32 years. AOL and IMDB both report that Dolly: Live in Las Vegas will bring six shows to Caesars Palace this December, promising hits from “Jolene” to “I Will Always Love You” and VIP packages that have fans scrambling. Parton says she's “excited” to hit the Vegas stage again, with these appearances coinciding with both the National Finals Rodeo and a recent period of personal reflection since the passing of her husband Carl Dean. Yet, true to Dolly form, she has numerous other creative irons in the fire—her musical memoir, Dolly: A True Original Musical, recently opened in Nashville with Broadway in its sights, while Threads: My Songs in Symphony is touring symphony halls across America.Business headlines have been almost as glittering as the residency news. On August 21, according to Real Country 103.5, Dolly herself unveiled an exclusive new Coca-Cola flavor, 40th Pop Fizz, celebrating Dollywood's upcoming 40th anniversary, available only within her Pigeon Forge theme park. Taste tests have been mixed, but no one doubts Dolly's star power will make the limited-edition soda a cult item. IMDB and Country Music Alley summarize her business acumen—her catalog of over 3,000 songs is reportedly worth $150 million, and her ventures span from Dollywood to hotels and fragrance lines, keeping her net worth at an eye-popping $650 million for 2025.On the personal side, Dolly's recent appearance on Khloe Kardashian's podcast drew social buzz as she candidly shared her reasons for taking a step back from the relentless pace of music to focus on legacy and family. Coverage from AOL singled out her vulnerability and wisdom—a theme echoed in her written reflections this week on love, loss, and resilience following her husband's passing, as reported by Death With Dignity. All eyes are on Dolly's next move, whether it's a Vegas headliner or a philanthropic masterstroke, and every note and business deal only cements her place at the center of American cultural life.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

Why This Agency Matchmaker Rejects Fossil Fuel Clients

Ever wonder what happens when a PR matchmaker draws a hard line against fossil fuel clients? Meet Steven Shimek. In this eye-opening conversation, Keith Zackheim welcomes the owner and CMO of Shimek Strategic—an influential voice who helps determine which agencies win multi-million dollar RFPs. Steven pulls back the curtain on agency practices most clients never see. "What I try to do is educate our world of marketers about what's not in the deck, what's not on the logo slides," he explains, revealing how his network of 5,000+ marketing professionals gives him insider knowledge about which agencies secretly represent oil and gas interests. But this isn't just business—it's personal. After watching Greta Thunberg stand up to "mean, aggressive, angry, belittling people," Steven reconnected with his environmental science roots. He traded his Yukon Denali for a hybrid. He made tough choices. Despite the financial hit, he vowed never to work with agencies representing oil, gas, tobacco or firearms. The conversation takes a fascinating turn when discussing today's political climate, where companies are "green hushing" their sustainability efforts. Yet Steven remains optimistic. "Even if it is hushed, I truly believe companies are still going to do the right thing," he insists, noting that abandoning sustainability triggers "a continuous low roar" of customer discontent. For communications professionals navigating this shifting landscape, this episode offers both practical wisdom and moral clarity from someone who's seen it all—and chosen which side of history he wants to stand on.Steven Shimek is the Owner and CMO of Shimek Strategic, an influential agency matchmaker who has helped over 1,600 companies across 46 countries find their ideal marketing partners. With a Master's in Environmental Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Steven combines his deep environmental knowledge with extensive industry experience gained at PR Newswire, Ruder Finn, and Fleishman Hillard. What sets him apart is his principled stance against representing agencies that work with fossil fuel, tobacco, firearms, or private prison companies, despite potential revenue loss. Inspired by climate activists like Greta Thunberg and his own children, Steven has transformed his business into a vehicle for positive change, educating marketing leaders about agency transparency while helping brands find partners whose values align with their sustainability goals. In This Episode:(00:00) Steven's career journey from PR Newswire to Shimek Strategic(08:14) Agencies adopting climate values and sustainability practices(10:39) Steven's environmental science background and personal awakening(14:08) How Steven brings transparency to agency selection process(16:08) Discussion of "green hushing" in the current political climate(19:08) Forecast for sustainability in corporate communications(21:21) Conclusion and information about Antenna GroupShare with someone who would enjoy this topic, like and subscribe to hear all of our future episodes, send us your comments and guest suggestions!About the show: The Age of Adoption podcast explores the monumental transition from a period of climate tech research and innovation – an Age of Innovation – to today's world in which companies across the economy are furiously adopting climate solutions - the Age of Adoption. Are you part of that 68% of people who would like to have a personalized financial plan, but aren't sure where to find a financial advisor? What should you pay attention to when trying to get a financial planning expert to help you, and you're evaluating different options? In this new episode of the Common Sense Financial Podcast, host Brian Skrobonja shares six factors you should keep into consideration and look at when going through different financial advisor options. According to a May 2022 PR Newswire survey, 68% of people would like to have a personalized financial plan, but they're not sure where to find a financial advisor. Brian sees information-gathering and understanding that planning isn't the same as investing are the biggest mental hurdles of financial planning. When it comes to picking a financial advisor, there are six primary factors Brian suggests looking at. A 2022 study found that 80-90% of advisors fail in the first three years of practice – the main reason being the steep learning curve involved in serving clients. 10 years is the minimum that Brian would look for in terms of experience a financial advisor has. Brian discusses the different designations a financial advisor might have. Brian touches upon the importance of whether a financial advisor owns the company and the range of services they offer.     Mentioned in this episode: BrianSkrobonja.com Dan Sullivan Chat GPT FINRA  The Financial Fiduciary Standard Explained (2021 Kipliger article by Brian)   Reference for this episode: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/nearly-3-in-5-americans-59-want-financial-advice-but-are-not-sure-where-to-get-it-according-to-intelliflo-survey-301494402.html     Securities offered only by duly registered individuals through Madison Avenue Securities, LLC. Mickie Kennedy is an expert at helping small businesses, authors, and startups increase their visibility and credibility. 26 years ago, Mickie founded eReleases after realizing that small businesses desperately need a press release distribution service they can afford. While working in PR. Mickie came face to face with customers that wanted to use press releases due to their effectiveness at bringing in business, but could not afford to pay the extremely high startup fees that most agencies charged. Mickie saw an opportunity to help — and eReleases was born. Mickie created eReleases to give small businesses access to the media and to a national newswire – all with a personal touch. eReleases has grown since then and even works with big names now, but the spirit of Mickie's original intent has not changed. eReleases delivers personal service and exceptional value to every customer, with every press release, at every price point. Mickie lives in Baltimore County with his family and two feuding cats. He enjoys British science fiction and acknowledges an unhealthy addiction to diet soda. Mickie holds an MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from George Mason University. He still writes poetry most Monday nights with a group of fellow misfits in Brunswick, Maryland. Mickie Kennedy Vroom Vroom Veer Summary In this episode, host Jeff Smith welcomes Mickie Kennedy, founder of eReleases. The episode begins with a brief introduction, including a light-hearted reminder from Michael Stein, a voiceover promoting the show. Jeff expresses excitement about having Mickie on the podcast and asks about her current business endeavors. Mickie shares that for the past 26 years, she has been helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and authors gain publicity through affordable press release distribution via eReleases, which sends releases nationally through PR Newswire at a fraction of the cost of traditional agencies. The conversation shifts to Mickie's childhood, where he describes growing up in Eastern North Carolina, engaging in outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends in a rural setting. They reminisce about childhood activities, including dirt bike riding and fishing. Mickie reflects on his time at East Carolina University, where he pursued English literature and anthropology, eventually obtaining an MFA in creative writing. He originally planned a bohemian life as a poet but transitioned to writing press releases at a telecom research startup, where he discovered the potential impact of storytelling in press releases. Mickie describes a pivotal moment in 1998 when a friend faced exorbitant costs for a press release, prompting him to create eReleases to support small businesses with affordable press release services. He explains the unique approach eReleases takes by crafting story-based press releases that journalists can utilize, contrasting it with the common practice of simply highlighting product features. The discussion covers his love for British science fiction, particularly Doctor Who, and how a public TV antenna introduced him to it. They also touch on his dual interests in poetry and writing, with Mickie revealing his current poetry projects and upcoming book. Jeff and Mickie discuss his two cats and their temperamental relationship, drawing parallels to the challenges of herding cats metaphorically in work scenarios. The episode concludes with Jeff encouraging listeners to connect with Mickie through eReleases' website and social media, emphasizing the supportive and honest nature of their team. Finally, Jeff wraps up the episode with a cheerful goodbye, reminding listeners to check the show notes for more information. The episode captures Mickie's transition from writer to PR expert, her business philosophy, and personal anecdotes from her journey. Connections Website

When Stephanie Dobbs Brown graduated from the University of Tennessee, she had two job offers in front of her. Instead of choosing, she did both for several years, which perfectly represents her dedication to her career. Eventually, she came to a fork in the road that led her to PR Newswire in Chicago. After a few years, she moved on to Thomson Reuters, where she had her first role running a P&L. In 2013, she got her first client-side brand role with Dow Jones, then moved over to ICE in 2017. In 2021, Stephanie was promoted to the CMO role, and under her leadership, ICE has undergone a profound transformation. She has led the company's rebrand, including its first global brand campaign, expanding programming capabilities, and reimagining the NYSE's iconic bell experience. In this episode, Alan and Stephanie discuss her pathway to becoming CMO, the complexity of ICE, and how marketing efforts need to respond to each of the business's unique needs. They also talk about the NYSE and their rebrand journey, including how it got started, the elements leading up to it, and what they are focusing on today and moving forward. Stephine also tells us what changed her perspective on leadership, why she prioritized authenticity, and why it's so important to focus on the intersection of people, purpose, and profit.Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is a Fortune 500 exchange operator with 14,000+ employees worldwide. They have three main business segments and each arm has a different marketing strategy that Stephine oversees. Exchanges and futures are centered around reinforcing key messages, data is about demand generation, mortgages are focused on the lead funnel, and the NYSE prioritizes working with start-ups and increasing brand recognition. With so many plates spinning, Jennifer uses her background in sales to help her manage her time, organize her priorities, and build relationships, while her background in communications helps her think about messaging. She says her job as a marketer is to knit it all together and ensure she and her team are making the biggest impact. Part of that impact has been reevaluating the ICE messaging and brand. In 2019, they realized there needed to be more clarity about who ICE is and what their strategy is. Murkiness was both slowing down the sales cycle and making recruitment more difficult. In 2020, they focused on expanding their reach, consolidating their acquisitions, organizing a hierarchy, and figuring out how to have ICE and NYSE benefit from each other while leaning into the existing equity the brand names held.In this episode, you'll learn:ICE's various business arms and how each is marketedThe reason behind the rebranding and the steps for executionWhat it means to lead with authenticity and consideration for people, purpose, and profit Key Highlights: [01:40] A deep-sea fisher in New York[03:50] Stephanie's path from TV to CMO[08:45] What is ICE?[11:00] Different marketing strategies for different business segments[13:15] Managing so many different business models[14:25] The sales mentality, including time management[16:00] The Rebrand: Who is ICE?[18:00] Leaning into brand equity through a rebrand[22:50] Stephanie's leadership mindsets[26:00] Lessons learned from a cancer diagnosis[30:35] Advice to her younger self[32:00] Every marketer needs business and financial acumen.[32:50] The future of fintech for payments[34:05] AI is happening.
