Zurück aus den Ferien sprechen wir heute über die Ideen der KMK bzgl. des akuten Lehrkräftemangels.

Komm, lassen wir direkt die Katze aus dem Sack. Alex hat einen neuen Podcast. Der heißt "Nicht die Mama" und behandelt sein Leben als Vollzeit-Daddy. Hört gerne mal rein. Aber nun zurück zu Lehrersprechtag: Martin erklärt, warum sein Sohn ein kleiner Pascha ist und warum die KMK den Knall nicht gehört hat. Alex erzählt warum ein Schüler in Bayern wegen Odel sein Abitur doch noch bekommt. Ebenso kondolieren die Studienräte der Borg-Queen Annie Wersching. Womit fahren eigentlich Autos? Diese Frage wird im Klopper der Woche beantwortet. Und dann dürfen Martin und Alex mal wieder die warme Decke der Nostalgie über sich legen, denn es geht in der mündlichen Prüfung wie schon in Folge 90 um die Hits von vor 20 Jahren, also aus dem Jahr 2003. Wie auch beim letzten Mal muss Martin entscheiden zwischen Hip Hop und Rock. Welche Songs Alex mitgebracht hat und was für Erinnerungen die Studienräte mit den Songs verbinden, das hört am besten selbst. Einer der Songtexte wird auch am Ende von Alex als Gedicht vorgetragen. Am Ende gibt es eine Hausaufgabe mit einem Kammerspiel über 8 hasserfüllte Gestalten. Viel Spaß mit dieser Folge und mit "Nicht die Mama"! P.S.: In der nächsten Woche wird es eine Sonderfolge geben. Die bei der KMK angesiedelte Ständige Wissenschaftliche Kommission empfiehlt gegen den Lehrermangel, ältere Lehrkräfte aus dem Ruhestand zurückzugewinnen, größere Klassen zu bilden und weniger Teilzeitmöglichkeiten einzuräumen. (The English interview starts at 3:10) According to current statistics, each German high school has enrolled between 10 and 30 Ukrainian students. Many principals have done this without additional staff and have often exceeded the maximum class sizes allowed by law. This raises the question of how well or poorly Ukrainian students are able to follow the lessons when they speak little German and are forced by German school law to be present in the German school. At the beginning of the war and the wave of refugees, Optima School tried to offer supplementary lessons for Ukrainian students. With live lessons and on-demand learning content in Ukrainian. In the morning, Ukrainian children could have learned at the German school and in the afternoon, they could have consolidated content in their own language or learned Ukraine-specific topics such as history, geography and social studies. Unfortunately, there was no longer much talk about the Optima School in Germany, which Stephan took as the occasion to talk to Yuriy Balkin. Yuriy is Chief Strategy Officer of Optima Education Group which operates Optima School, the first and the largest Ukrainian K-12 distance learning school. – No state funding in Germany – As Yuriy explains in this episode of “School must go on” Optima has been running reliably for years and is easily scalable. Optima School is in the same situation as many EdTechs in the education sector: There is no state funding, because stakeholders such as the ministry of education do not want to support "for-profit" companies, even in times of acute crisis. This is also how the documentation of the rejection of cooperation between KMK and Optima can be read: No interest in cooperating with companies with the excuse that it is not that easy to procure. Instead, the SAP Foundation and the Bosch Foundation stepped in and helped more than 100,000 Ukrainian students gain access to the Optima platform at short notice. Yuri Balkin also talks about the background and concept of Optima School and how they are currently trying to continue to provide education to as many Ukrainian children as possible, regardless of location, economic circumstances, and government support.

Seit Jahrzehnten wird die enge Verbindung von soziale Herkunft und Bildungsarmut in Deutschland politisch thematisiert. In den letzten Sitzungen des Kolloquiums wurden die Steuerungsmöglichkeiten gegen Bildungsungleichheit auf schulischer Ebene, auf Ebene der Schulträger und auf Ebene der Schulverwaltung beleuchtet und diskutiert. In der anstehenden  Sitzung soll aus einer länderübergreifenden Ebene gefragt werden, was gegen Bildungsungleichheiten getan wird bzw. getan werden könnte. Die Debatte scheint sich über die Jahre von einer Debatte um Strukturen (wie etwa zu Mehrgliedrigkeit des Schulsystems) zu einer Debatte um Programme verschoben zu haben. KMK und BMBF haben 2019 das Programm „Schule macht stark“ aufgelegt (300 Schulen). Die neue Ampel-Regierung hat 2021 das „Startchancen“-Programm für 4.000 Schulen aufgelegt und für weitere 4.000 Schulen „in benachteiligten Regionen und Quartieren“ zusätzliche Personalstellen angekündigt. Ist von diesen milliardenschweren Programmen ein Abbau von Bildungsungleichheit zu erwarten und was lässt sich länderübergreifend steuern? Hierüber diskutierten wir mit Isabelle van Ackeren, Professorin für Bildungssystem- und Schulentwicklungsforschung an der Universität Duisburg-Essen und Helmut Holter, Minister für Bildung, Jugend und Sport in Thüringen. Am 9. Dezember hat die KMK neue Empfehlungen zu "Lehren und Lernen in der digitalen Welt" beschlossen, die die KMK-Strategie "Bildung in der digitalen Welt" aus 2016 ergänzen. Vor diesem hochaktuellen Hintergrund befasste sich die Sitzung mit der überregionalen Steuerung von Bildungsprozessen im Bereich Digitalisierung. Wie viel länderübergreifende Rahmensetzung (Standards, Systeme, Medien, ID-Protokolle, Datenschutzprüfungen etc.) ist notwendig und wie viel Spielraum benötigen die Länder zur regionalen Ausgestaltung der digitalen Transformation im schulischen Bereich? Nicht zuletzt mit dem Koalitionsvertrag der neuen Bundesregierung wird deutlicher Druck zu mehr länderübergreifender Kooperation und neuen Formen der Bund-Länder-Zusammenarbeit im Bereich Digitalisierung ausgelöst. Kann die KMK vor dem Hintergrund dieser neuen Herausforderungen zu einer effizienten Abstimmungs- und Steuerungsarena entwickelt werden? Es diskutierten Birgit Eickelmann, Professorin für Schulpädagogik an der Universität Paderborn, und Ties Rabe, Senator für Schule und Berufsbildung in Hamburg sowie sog. A-Koordinator in der KMK. Mein größtes Erfolgserlebnis als Lehrerin: Wenn ich merke, dass meine Schülerinnen und Schüler mich mögen und deshalb gerne Deutsch lernen. Die beispielsweise DSD-Prüfungen ablegen, die Germanistik an der Nationalen Linguistischen Universität in Kiew studieren oder sogar zum Studium ins Ausland gehen.

Ich unterrichte Deutsch, weil … ich Germanistik studiert habe und auch gern mit jungen Menschen zu tun habe. Das ist typisch deutsch für mich: Die Kompliziertheit der Sprache. Meine Lieblingsregion/-stadt in Deutschland: Berlin. Berlin ist zwar arm, aber sexy! Ich empfinde es als Hauptstadt auch nicht so politisch wie Peking. Mein deutsches Lieblingsessen: Süßigkeiten und Kuchen. Ich liebe „süße Sünden“! Mein deutsches Lieblingswort: „Spaß“. Man lebt nur einmal und sollte Spaß im Leben haben. Mein deutsches Lieblingsbuch: „Mio, mein Mio“. Das Buch von Astrid Lindgren zeigt, dass man seine Angst besiegen kann. Mein Lektüretipp für den Deutschunterricht: Ich unterrichte nach dem Grundsatz: Leselust statt Lesefrust. Daher ist jedes Buch geeignet, das bei Schülerinnen und Schülern gut ankommt. Das ist für meine Schüler schwer an der deutschen Sprache: Eigentlich alles: Grammatik, Wortschatz, Hörverstehen und natürlich, sich mündlich zu verständigen. Deutsch unterscheidet sich eben komplett vom Chinesischen. Mein größtes Erfolgserlebnis als Lehrerin: Fast alle meine Schülerinnen und Schüler haben erfolgreich ihre Deutschprüfungen abgelegt, die meisten studieren in Deutschland, manche sogar mit DAAD-Stipendien. Ich bin sehr stolz auf sie.

B. an den Komposita sieht. Ich unterrichte Deutsch, weil … ich als Kind deutschsprachig erzogen wurde und mich die Sprache sehr fasziniert hat. Wir sprachen allerdings Dialekt. Deshalb wollte ich Hochdeutsch lernen und das Land meiner Vorfahren kennenlernen. Im Jahr 2017 bot sich mir dann die Gelegenheit, über dasWeiterbildungsprogramm des Pädagogischen Austauschdienstes für ausländische Deutschlehrkräfte für ein Jahr nach Deutschland zu kommen. Das ist typisch deutsch für mich: Deutsche sind umweltfreundlich, pünktlich und respektieren Regeln. Meine Lieblingsregion/-stadt in Deutschland: Rheinland-Pfalz: Die Landschaft ist herrlich und man kann viele Burgen und Schlösser besichtigen. Aus dieser Region kamen auch meine Vorfahren. Mein deutsches Lieblingsessen: Käsekuchen. Sehr, sehr lecker! Mein deutsches Lieblingswort: „Eichhörnchen“. Weil die Aussprache schwer ist und ich als Studentin die deutsche Aussprache mit diesem Wort trainiert habe. Außerdem finde ich Eichhörnchen sehr süß. Mein deutsches Lieblingsbuch: „Der Vorleser“ von Bernhard Schlink. Mein Lektüretipp für den Deutschunterricht: Das Buch „Bitterschokolade“ von Miriam Pressler. Es bietet die Möglichkeit, unterschiedliche Themen aus der Welt der Jugendlichen zu bearbeiten. Das ist für meine Schüler schwer an der deutschen Sprache: Die Grammatik, vor allem die Artikel und die Deklination. Mein größtes Erfolgserlebnis als Lehrerin: Wenn ich dazu beitragen konnte, dass meine Schülerinnen und Schüler ihre Träume verwirklichen. Zum Beispiel gibt es Schülerinnen von mir, die heute in Deutschland studieren und vielleicht sogar später als Deutschlehrerin arbeiten möchten.

Thomas Köhler ist Professor für Bildungstechnologien an der TU Dresden und war Mitglied der Bund-Länder Arbeitsgruppe von KMK und Bundesforschungsministerium zu OER, die 2015 ein weit beachtetes Papier zu OER herausgebracht hat. Thomas Köhler sieht weitreichende Folgen der Einführung von OER für das Miteinander von verschiedenen Bildungssektoren und schreibt OER ein demokratisches Potenzial zu. Die Entwicklung in Deutschland sieht er noch lange nicht am Ende, ganz im Gegenteil, sei weitere Förderung nötig.

Dezember 2016 geht nun die endgültige Fassung online: das Strategiepapier der Kultusministerkonferenz (KMK) zur Bildung in der digitalen Welt. Udo Michallik, der heutige Gast im Adventskalender, war als Generalsekretär der KMK an zentraler Stelle für die Erstellung verantwortlich und verrät, warum man das Papier lesen sollte - und was ihn sonst noch an der Bildung mit digitalen Medien interessiert.

One thing I have always wanted to do with this show is focus on dispatch stories, which I have done but I also want to start focusing on topic driven episodes.
