Ever notice how most spray cleaners and detergents seem to be marketed straight out of the 1950s... and almost always to moms? Entrepreneur Sean Busch is on a mission to flip the script. Sean is a dad of two kids who LOVE to make messes, and he's the founder of Dad Mode, a new line of high-performance cleaning products designed specifically for dads. Sean joins us to talk about why it's important that dads meaningfully contribute to housekeeping, what “choreplay” means (and how it might just be the secret to more balance), and the potential risks and rewards of selling gendered products. You can't do generous culture alone and that's why you have to close the loop. The great news is that you two thirds of the way there. It's important to understand how culture is “felt”. It's key in this case because the exponential growth factor is accessed in this flywheel of giving. The third step in the process is what ignites your entire teams passion for a giving culture. It's where educate them on what's working and encourage them to jump in and add their own twist. Once they know, they go. That puts them in their own loop and attracting others. Have a generous rest of the week.

Send us a textWhat happens when your career ends but your life continues? The Mental Men, Andy Kang, Pat Rice, Chris Gordon, Dennis Sweeney, and Bob Cherney return in this deeply personal exploration of retirement, identity, and finding purpose beyond the job that defined you.Bob Cherney, recently retired after decades as a therapist, shares his raw experience of waking up each morning still feeling "there's supposed to be stuff I'm supposed to do." This sentiment resonates powerfully with the group of mental health professionals who've dedicated their lives to helping others through crisis and trauma. Their conversation reveals the unexpected challenges of this transition – from the alarming statistic that 20% of first responders develop serious medical conditions within a year of retirement to the profound identity crisis that can follow when the uniform comes off.The discussion delves into how retirement resembles a grief process – mourning not just the job itself but a way of being in the world. As Dennis reflects, it requires "acceptance of what we can or cannot do" while acknowledging "the grief of what you've lost." For professionals accustomed to emergency response and crisis intervention, the absence of that adrenaline and purpose creates a void that requires intentional filling.Yet within these challenges lie opportunities for growth. The group shares strategies that have helped them navigate this transition: developing hobbies before retirement, volunteering in new contexts, maintaining social connections, and perhaps most importantly – staying curious. As Pat beautifully puts it, "The Fountain of Youth is composed of two elements: keep your legs as strong as you can and stay curious." This curiosity – this willingness to try new things and engage with life in fresh ways – emerges as perhaps the most powerful tool for navigating life's later chapters.Whether you're approaching retirement, supporting someone who is, or simply interested in how we maintain purpose and meaning throughout life's transitions, this conversation offers wisdom, humor, and practical insights from those walking the path. I've been thinking a lot about prioritizing lately, mostly because I've been shifting the way I prioritize things in my life the last few months. My priorities desperately needed to change so that work wasn't always #1, and I wasn't always chasing an endless to-do list of busywork.Because “when you prioritize the important over the urgent, you don't just get more done, you get the right things done. And that's the difference between a busy life and a meaningful one.” - Greg McKeown. So today's quickie reveals how to break free from the cult of busyness and master the art of prioritization using productivity minimalism principles inspired by Greg McKeown best-selling book, Essentialism. We dive into why you're focusing on urgent tasks instead of important priorities, along with actionable strategies to create a more meaningful, intentional life. I break down The Law of Inverse Prioritization, which explains why the most important things in life (health, relationships, personal growth) often get neglected while urgent but meaningless tasks consume all of our time and energy.Tune in to hear:Productivity minimalism strategies for focusing on high-impact activitiesThe difference between urgent and importantTime management tricks through intentional prioritizationWork-life balance and escaping the busyness addiction cycleMy priorities in this season of life (Burnout prevention, relationships, writing and health)Time blocking techniques for non-negotiable important activities3 key questions for your prioritization and decision-making frameworkOrganizing your life around purpose and impactResources mentioned:Greg McKeown's Instagram videoGreg's book and academy on EssentialismFor advertising and sponsorship inquiries, please contact Frequency Podcast Network. Ever feel like you're grinding non-stop but still falling short of that big dream? In this episode of The Happy Hustle Podcast, I'll drop some serious truth bombs on what it takes to live the life you want, without sacrificing your sanity, family, or soul.In this powerful conversation, I sit down with none other than Bedros Keuilian, a straight-up beast of an entrepreneur and the founder of Fit Body Bootcamp, one of the fastest-growing fitness franchises in the world. Bedros isn't just a business boss—he's a man who's done the deep inner work, battled through chaos, and come out the other side more dialed-in than ever.We jammed on a ton of important topics, from smashing the myths around the “American Dream” to redefining what true success really looks like. Bedros shares how he shifted from being a hands-on CEO to a leader of leaders, and how that move changed the game, not just in business, but in his marriage, fatherhood, and personal growth. This episode is a reminder that discipline backed by standards is the real flex. Not hustle till you burn out. Not “fake it till you make it.” But showing up every day aligned, intentional, and willing to lead yourself first. Bedros opens up about how he makes decisions through the lens of his standards, even something as simple as deciding whether or not to hang with the bros on a Friday night. And that level of clarity? It's rare—and powerful. Here are a few game-changing takeaways from the convo:The American Dream isn't dead—it's more accessible than ever. But you've gotta stop blaming the system and start owning your actions.Discipline is overrated if it's not backed by non-negotiable standards. Set your standards, filter every decision through them, and you'll move differently.Success in business means nothing if you're failing at home. Bedros keeps it real about showing up for his wife and kid, even when it's hard.Marriage takes work, and walk-away moments happen. But how you show up when things get tough defines the strength of your relationship.Faith, AI, and community all play a role in this new era of leadership. Whether it's spiritual growth or embracing tech, it's about evolving while staying grounded. If you're a purpose-driven hustler looking to harmonize your ambition with a deep, meaningful connection, this is the episode for you.In this episode, we cover:The American Dream: Misconceptions and RealitiesEntrepreneurial Journey: From Idea to SuccessTransitioning from CEO to LeaderThe Importance of Standards in Life and BusinessBalancing Family and BusinessNavigating Fatherhood and RelationshipsOvercoming Walk-Away Moments in MarriageThe Journey of Marriage and Personal GrowthFaith and Spirituality in Modern LifeThe Role of AI in Business and LifeBuilding Community and Leadership Among MenWhat does happy Hustlin mean to you? This one's raw. Tender. And so incredibly real. My client came into this conversation thinking she needed clarity. She was looking for the right answers—about her role, her goals, her business. But what came out was something much more vulnerable: the pressure to perform, the fear of letting people down, and the quiet ache of not being fully seen. This episode is a front-row seat to what happens when a powerful woman stops performing and starts telling the truth. Bevor wir gleich mit der Folge starten, habe ich noch eine Empfehlung für Dich. Diesmal in eigener Sache. QFF: Quick Fire Friday – Your 20-Minute Growth Powerhouse! Welcome to Quick Fire Friday, the Grow A Small Business podcast series that is designed to deliver simple, focused and actionable insights and key takeaways in less than 20 minutes a week. Every Friday, we bring you business owners and experts who share their top strategies for growing yourself, your team and your small business. Get ready for a dose of inspiration, one action you can implement and quotable quotes that will stick with you long after the episode ends! In this episode of Quick Fire Friday, host Michael Denehey interviews Joey Coleman, Chief Experience Composer at Design Symphony, shares insights on how business owners can design their first 100 days to foster momentum, clarity, and joy. He highlights the value of taking extended breaks, recommending at least two weeks to recharge and prevent burnout. Advocating for personal growth, Coleman encourages reading fiction and scheduling time for self-care to prioritize well-being. Additionally, he emphasizes celebrating achievements and maintaining a balance between work and personal life as key strategies for sustaining long-term success. Key Takeaways for Small Business Owners: Design Your Own First 100 Days: Apply the same strategic thinking you use for customers and employees to yourself—plan your first 100 days of any new business phase with intention and clarity. Take True Time Off to Reset: Even a 10+ day break (ideally more) away from work and tech can dramatically reset your energy, creativity, and focus. You're not just resting—you're recharging your leadership capacity. Celebrate Small Wins Regularly: Don't wait for big milestones to celebrate—acknowledge small victories to boost motivation and prevent burnout. Even a solo movie or walk can be a powerful reward. Our hero crafts outstanding reviews following the experience of listening to our special guests. Are you the one we've been waiting for? Grow Yourself, Not Just the Business: Set personal growth goals with the same focus you give business metrics. A stronger, wiser version of you is needed to lead the next stage of your company. Protect Appointments with Yourself: Treat time with yourself as sacred. If you wouldn't cancel a client meeting, don't cancel on yourself. Your well-being directly impacts your business health. Rediscover Joy Through Non-Business Activities: Read fiction, take a dance class, explore hobbies—doing things that have no direct business ROI can reignite creativity and emotional resilience. One action small business owners can take: According to Joey Coleman, one action a small business owner should take is a 10-day (or longer) true break from work—completely unplugged from emails, calls, and business tasks—to reset, gain clarity, and return with renewed energy. Do you have 2 minutes every Friday? Sign up to the Weekly Leadership Email. It's free and we can help you to maximize your time. Enjoyed the podcast? Are you overwhelmed not because you're doing too much, but because you're essential to everything, everywhere? In this episode, I reveal the 4 hidden signs that you're the bottleneck in your own business - and why this isn't a time management problem, it's an energetic structure problem. You'll discover why you can never actually finish your work, why delegation keeps bouncing back to you, and how to transform from being energetically essential to everything into being strategically essential to the right things. I share my personal story of working every Sunday while 8 months pregnant, and how I built systems that allowed me to take 5 months of maternity leave (twice!) without my business falling apart. If you're tired of being the person everything runs through, this episode will show you exactly how to build a business that flows instead of drains. Hey humans! On this episode of the HX podcast, I wanted to talk to my fellow Gen Xers about something that was programmed into us back in our twenties: the idea that our worth is tied to our productivity. I see it causing problems in business and in people's lives. I know this from my own career in startups, where that hustle culture was rewarded and it hard-coded into me the belief that being exhausted meant I was doing a good job. But I now know that's just not the truth, and it's time we challenge that thinking. So, I'm asking you to focus on a few things this week. I want you to ask yourself what would change if you valued rest as much as work, and know that you can seek support if this is a struggle. Remember, you are valuable because of who you are, not because of what you produce. Your value is intrinsically amazing. Stacie More episodes at StacieBaird.com.

And a snapshot of the final five Grow A Small Business Questions: What do you think is the hardest thing in growing a small business? According to Cathy Yoder, the hardest thing in growing a small business is "the grind of working hard without seeing immediate returns." She emphasized the challenge of staying committed during the early phases when results are slow, especially in a culture that expects instant success. Her advice is to trust your gut, keep at it, and be okay with delayed rewards. What's your favorite business book that has helped you the most? Cathy Yoder's favorite business book that helped her the most is Essentialism by Greg McKeown. She shared that it taught her to cut out the fluff, focus on what truly matters, and work more efficiently, especially after experiencing overwhelm from trying to do everything in her earlier business partnerships. Are there any great podcasts or online learning resources you'd recommend to help grow a small business? Cathy Yoder recommends several great podcasts and online learning resources to help grow a small business, including the Ed Mylett Podcast and Brendon Burchard for motivation and performance, and Jody Moore's “Better Than Happy” podcast and life coaching membership for mindset and personal development. She also emphasizes the value of joining mastermind groups and hiring business coaches early on, even if it's a small investment, as they helped her build systems and accountability that supported her business growth. What tool or resource would you recommend to grow a small business? Cathy Yoder recommends YouTube as a powerful tool to grow a small business. She highlights that, while it's a long game and not an instant win, it's a fantastic way to build trust, generate leads, and get paid while doing it. By being authentic and consistently creating content, she was able to grow a loyal audience and convert that engagement into substantial revenue through product sales and memberships. What advice would you give yourself on day one of starting out in business? Cathy Yoder's advice to herself on day one of starting out in business would be: “Trust the process. Keep going.” She emphasizes the importance of perseverance, especially during the early stages when progress feels slow, and believes that staying consistent and trusting your instincts is key to long-term success. Hey mama, This week's Monday Mindset is such an important one… especially if you've been feeling like you're doing all the things but still missing real connection with your kids. We're kicking off the week with this quote by Dr. A. Whitham: “Children spell love… T-I-M-E.” In this episode, I'm sharing how small, intentional moments of presence… even just 10 minutes a day… can completely shift your relationship with your child. Because it's not about elaborate plans or carving out hours you don't have. It's about putting your phone down, tuning into the moment, and being truly present…even in the chaos. Here's what I'm talking about: ✔️ Why quality time doesn't have to mean “a lot of time” ✔️ How to create meaningful micro-moments (that fit into your real life) ✔️ My favorite connection rituals… from sock-sorting chats to bedtime “rose and thorn” ✔️ Why your full attention… even for 10 minutes… can fill your child's emotional tank ✔️ A mindset shift that helps you ditch the guilt and show up with intention
