Cada semana en Onda Cero junto a Agustín Bravo y Sofía Menéndez analizamos la seguridad vial. ¿Son inseguros los patinetes eléctricos de alquiler? • Madrid prohíbe los patinetes de alquiler a partir de octubre de 2024 El Ayuntamiento de Madrid ha decidido prohibir la circulación de patinetes de alquiler en la ciudad. Las tres empresas que operaban este servicio (Lime, Dott y Tier Mobility) deberán retirar sus vehículos a partir de octubre debido al incumplimiento de las obligaciones establecidas en la normativa vigente. Esta medida supone la revocación de las autorizaciones concedidas a estas empresas. • ¿Motivos de la prohibición? 1. Falta de colaboración en la inspección: Las empresas no aportaron la información requerida ni facilitaron el acceso al interfaz de sus sistemas para la supervisión del Ayuntamiento. 2. Despliegue desequilibrado: El Ayuntamiento exigía una distribución equilibrada de los patinetes, limitando a 3.600 dentro de la M-30 y 2.400 en el resto de la ciudad. Sin embargo, la falta de información proporcionada por las empresas impidió verificar si se cumplía con este requisito. 3. Incumplimiento de normas de estacionamiento: Las compañías no implementaron las tecnologías requeridas para controlar el aparcamiento en las zonas habilitadas, especialmente en el distrito Centro, ni impidieron el estacionamiento en áreas prohibidas como calles peatonales o espacios cercanos a parques históricos. 4. Cobertura de seguros insuficiente: La cobertura de los seguros no cumplía con la normativa exigida. 5. Falta de formación: Las empresas no cumplieron con la obligación de impartir cursos a los usuarios sobre el uso adecuado y las normativas de los patinetes. • ¿Y en un futuro regresarán los patinetes eléctricos de alquiler a Madrid? El consistorio también ha comunicado que no se otorgarán nuevas licencias para este servicio en el futuro, ya que se considera que el mercado no ha sido capaz de cumplir con las exigencias de seguridad y orden establecidas por el Ayuntamiento. If we add to this that the EU is planning on a complete ban of lead products by 2027, and is banning more and more single use plastic items, it becomes clear that in 2021 the timing was right to launch a sustainable fishing bait company. Capt'n Greenfin produces 100% biodegradable, protein-based bait which will not harm the environment if lost. They're also conscientious about their packaging, and they produce in Europe, so as to avoid the environmental cost of transporting goods across the globe.  They're currently raising CHF 150K through the Swisspreneur Syndicate as part of their first fundraising round. There are calls for stricter enforcement of E-scooter rules after footage emerged of someone riding one down the M50 in Dublin. The footage, shared widely on social media, shows the rider hurtling down the busy motorway wearing a high-viz but no helmet. The video has caused a new wave of concern around the safety of these vehicles. How safe are these scooters to use currently, and what needs to be done to make them safer? E-Trottinetts von Verleihfirmen gehören zum alltäglichen Stadtbild. Doch viele Menschen stören sich an E-Trottinett-Fahrenden auf den Trottoirs und an rücksichtlos abgestellten Fahrzeugen.  Klare Regeln Eigentlich wären die Regeln klar. E-Trottinetts sind dem Velo oder langsamen E-Bikes gleichgestellt. Sie dürfen also ausschliesslich auf der Strasse oder auf Velowegen und Velostreifen gefahren werden. Das Fahren auf dem Trottoir ist nicht erlaubt. In gewissen Städten gibt es Zonen mit Fahreinschränkungen. Mittels GPS basiertem "geofencing" wird ein Befahren mit E-Trottinetts ganz verhindert, oder die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird automatisch begrenzt. Noch ist das GPS aber zu wenig genau, um beispielsweie zu erkennen, ob jemand auf dem Velostreifen oder auf dem Trottoir nebenan unterwegs ist. Wo parkieren? Grundsätzlich müssen sich E-Trottinett-Verleihfirmen an die Auflagen der Städte halten. Dabei gibt es verschiedene Konzepte. Beim sogenannten "free floating" können die E-Trottinetts überall abgestellt werden. Einige Städte setzen in gewissen Zonen auf klar definierte und markierte Parkfelder. Und teilweise gibt es mit "geofencing" definierte E-Trottinett freie Sperrzonen, wo nicht parkiert werden darf. Benutzende werden je nach Anbieter mittels akustischem Signal auf die Sperrzone aufmerksam gemacht. Wer trotzdem parkiert, muss weiter Miete und allenfalls eine Busse bezahlen. Verbot in Paris Zwar hat sich die Situation in den letzten Jahren dank technischer Lösungen etwas verbessert. Trotzdem ärgern sich viele Leute über die E-Trottinetts. Die Stadt Paris hat reagiert. Am Sonntag stimmten 89 Prozent der Bevölkerung dafür, den Verleih von E-Trottinetts zu verbieten. Wie weiter mit den E-Trottinetts in Schweizer Städten? In der Rubrik “Investments & Exits” begrüßen wir heute Jan Miczaika, Partner bei HV Capital. Jan hat den angekündigten Fonds von Northzone und die Finanzierungsrunde von Neggst und Cledara kommentiert: Drei Jahre nach der Auflegung eines 500-Millionen-Dollar-Fonds meldet sich das europäische Risikokapitalunternehmen Northzone mit seinem zehnten Fonds zurück, den die Partner als seine bisher "größte Kapitalbeschaffung" in Höhe von 1 Milliarde Euro bzw. 1,01 Milliarden US-Dollar bezeichnen. Unter den 60 Unternehmen in Northones Portfolio finden sich geläufige Vorzeige-Startups wie Spotify, Klarna, Tier Mobility, Personio oder Flink, bei denen der VC sehr früh eingestiegen ist. Cledara hat in einer Series-A-Finanzierungsrunde 20 Millionen US-Dollar erhalten. CommerzVentures führte die Series A an, wobei Carbide Ventures und Massive beteiligt waren. Die bestehenden Investoren Nauta Capital und Notion Capital setzten ihre Unterstützung ebenfalls fort. Das Londoner Unternehmen hilft Teams dabei, die von ihnen genutzten SaaS zu verstehen, zu verwalten und zu kontrollieren, um den Betrieb zu skalieren, Vorschriften einzuhalten und Geld zu sparen. Außerdem konnte sich das Food-Startup Neggst über 5 Millionen Euro an Gesamtinvestment sichern. Das 2021 von Veronica Garcia-Arteaga und Dr. Patrick Deufel in Zusammenarbeit mit Zentis, Ehrmann und Fraunhofer IVV gegründete Startup Neggst will mit seiner innovativen pflanzlichen Ei-Alternative den Lebensmittelmarkt revolutionieren. Es ist laut Presseinfo das weltweit erste Unternehmen, das es geschafft hat, ein pflanzliches Eiweiß und Eigelb sowie eine der Natur nachempfundenen Eierschale zu entwickeln. Geleitet wurde die Runde vom Impact-Fund Green Generation Fund (GGF). In der Nachmittagsfolge begrüßen wir heute Dr. Veronika von Heise-Rotenburg, CFO und Geschäftsführerin von Everphone, und sprechen mit ihr über die erfolgreich abgeschlossene Finanzierungsrunde der Serie C-2 in Höhe von 32 Millionen Euro. Everphone bietet Device-as-a-Service Lösungen an, die Unternehmen Flexibilität, Zuverlässigkeit und eine einfachere Möglichkeit geben, Smartphones, Tablets und Laptops zu verwalten. Die Leistungen reichen von der Beschaffung und Konfiguration für alle Angestellten bis hin zur Einrichtung, Wartung und Rücknahme. So werden nicht nur interne IT-Kapazitäten geschont, sondern durch die nachhaltigere Art der Gerätenutzung CO2-Emissionen und Abfall reduziert. Im Jahr 2021 hat das Berliner Startup bereits in einer ersten Runde der Serie C 200 Millionen US-Dollar an Eigen- und Fremdkapital erhalten. Die Serie C-2 wird von Cadence Growth Capital (CGC) angeführt. CGC ist ein wachstumsorientierter Private-Equity-Investor, der sich auf technologieorientierte Unternehmen in der DACH-Region konzentriert, die ein starkes organisches und anorganisches Wachstumspotenzial aufweisen. Neben dem Kapital stellt der VC auch sein operatives Know-how und ein umfangreiches Netzwerk zur Verfügung. CGC verwaltet ein Vermögen von über 200 Millionen Euro. Zum Portfolio gehören neben Everphone auch Sherpany, Moonfare, Mitos und Tink. Das frische Kapital soll in die Produktentwicklung und das Wachstum der aktiven Geräteflotte fließen. In der Mittagsfolge begrüßen wir heute Patrick Reich, Co-Founder und CEO von Bonnet und sprechen über die Finanzierungsrunde in Höhe von 4,9 Millionen Euro in den Anbieter von Ladeplattform für E-Autos. Das Startup mit Sitz in London wurde 2020 von Patrick Reich und Eliot Makabu gegründet. Die dazugehörige Plattform wurde im Juli 2021 gelauncht und soll den Prozess des Aufladens von Elektrofahrzeugen außerhalb des Grundstücks vereinfachen. Neben Echtzeitdaten von verfügbaren Ladesäulen gibt es für den Kunden oder die Kundin auch günstige Vorteilspakete. Bonnet deckt Unternehmensangaben zufolge bereits über 20.000 Ladestationen und 50.000 Ladepunkte ab, welche stetig aktualisiert werden. Mit der neuen Finanzierungsrunde von 4,9 Millionen Euro möchte das Startup seine Zahl der Mitarbeitenden verdreifachen, neue Partnerschaften mit Ladestellenbetreibern schließen und bis Ende 2022 einen Großteil der europäischen Ladestationen auf der eigenen Plattform zugänglich zu machen. Die neuen Investoren der EV-Ladeplattform setzen sich aus verschiedenen Investoren zusammen, darunter Lightspeed, GV, 20VC und der deutsche VC APX, der auch an der ersten Investitionsrunde 2020 beteiligt war. In unserer Mittagsfolge sprechen wir mit Lawrence Leuschner, CEO und Co-Founder von Tier Mobility. Im Gespräch geht es unter anderem über die Übernahme des Leipziger Unternehmens Nextbike. Tier Mobility möchte mit seinem Angebot an gemeinsam genutzten, leichten Elektrofahrzeugen Städte unterstützen, ihre Abhängigkeit von Autos zu verringern. Die E-Scootern, E-Bikes und E-Mopeds von Tier werden hierbei von einem eigenen Energienetzwerk angetrieben. Das Unternehmen wurde 2018 von Lawrence Leuschner, Matthias Laug und Julian Blessin gegründet. Unter anderem um von den langjährigen Beziehungen zu Städten von Nextbike zu profitieren, hat Tier Mobility jetzt das Leipziger Unternehmen übernommen. Nextbike wurde 2004 gegründet und betreibt stationsbasierte Leihradsysteme. Mit der Übernahme erweitert Tier Mobility sein Mikromobilitäts-Angebot um Fahrräder und möchte mit ihren kombinierten 250.000 Zweirädern in 400 Städten zu Europas größten und vielfältigsten Anbieter von Mikromobilität wachsen. Außerdem haben wir über die letzte Finanzierungsrunde gesprochen. Das Berliner Startup konnten in ihrer jüngsten Serie-D-Finanzierungsrunde 200 Millionen US-Dollar (175 Millionen Euro) einsammeln. Zu den Investoren gehören SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Mubadala Capital, Northzone, Goodwater Capital und White Star Capital. Jan Thomas und Lawrence Leuschner sprechen noch über die öffentliche Wahrnehmung des Berliner Startups, über das Geschäftsmodell und wohin die Reise in den nächsten Jahren gehen soll.

In der Nachmittagsfolge sprechen wir mit Marie-Helene Ametsreiter, General Partner bei Speedinvest, über den heute veröffentlichten Climate-Tech Fonds in Höhe von 80 Millionen Euro. Speedinvest, einer der aktivsten europäischen Frühphaseninvestoren mit einem verwalteten Fondsvermögen von 600 Millionen Euro, gibt heute den Start eines neuen 80-Millionen-Euro-Fonds bekannt. Der Climate & Industry Opportunity-Fonds wird in Technologie-Unternehmen investieren, die sich mit der Bekämpfung der Klimakrise auseinandersetzen. Zudem wird der Fonds Startups dabei unterstützen, die CO2-Emissionen der europäischen Industrie zu verringern und Industrie-Unternehmen zu digitalisieren. Der neue Climate & Industry Opportunity-Fonds investierte bereits in zwei der Portfoliounternehmen von Speedinvest. Mitte November investierte er in die Series-B-Runde von Packhelp, eine in Warschau ansässige Plattform für maßgeschneiderte Verpackungen. Zudem war Speedinvest über den Fonds an der kürzlich bekanntgegebenen Series-D-Runde von TIER Mobility beteiligt.

TIER Mobility begann seinen Siegeszug im Bereich Mikromobilität 2018. Und auch wenn der unternehmerische Erfolg gewünscht und beabsichtigt war, wurden selbst die Gründer von der Schnelligkeit überrascht, mit der sich TIER Mobility an die Spitze setzte. Die beiden Meilensteine von einer bzw. zwei Millionen Fahrten wurden schon 2019 erreicht, ein Zeichen dafür, wie groß der Demand beim Kunden ist. Durch diverse Übernahmen, unter anderem des in die Insolvenz gegangenen Mittbewerbers Coup 2020 sowie auf dem Gebiet der swappable batteries - der austauschbaren Akkus - konnte TIER Mobility seine Fahrzeugflotte und seine Ladeinfrastruktur massiv ausbauen. 2021 war das Unternehmen nicht nur in 54 deutschen Städten, sondern neben der Schweiz und Österreich auch in einer Großzahl weiterer Länder vertreten. von Jürgen Vagt 08.07.21 Heute begrüßte ich Philip Reinckens von Tier-Mobility bei den Zukunftsmobilisten und wir sprachen über den Marktstart und den Erfolg des E-Scooter-Verleihers Tier-Mobility. 2019 wurde der Marktstart durch den Gesetzgeber erlaubt und die Anfangszeit waren hektisch und chaotisch. Der Marktstart war von einem massiven Medienfeuerwerk begleitet und jetzt 2 Jahren und eine Jahrhundertpandemie später, wird die Dienstleistung in 50 Städten angeboten und Tier-Mobility hat 900 Mitarbeiter. Ob es um schlechte Arbeitsbedingungen oder die viel besagten Elektroroller in den Flüssen. Vandalismus ist ein Problem, aber laut Philip Reinckens hält sich Tier-Mobility an das deutsche Arbeitsrecht und den deutschen Mindestlohn. Allerdings war und ist dies bei den us-amerikanischen Wettbewerbern anders. Bei den Kunden war die Akzeptanz groß und in der Frühphase wurden die Großstädte bedient, aber nun im Jahr 2021 werden auch schon Städte mit 250000 Einwohner bedient. Tier Mobility hat in den Großstädten begonnen, weil bei der Dichte der Bevölkerung die Roller immer ausgelastet wird. Angebote für die Städte In Zukunft will Tier-Mobility auch Pendelzentren angehen, also Menschen in Hamburg-Harburg werden die Möglichkeit erhalten von Harburg in das Stadtzentrum zu per E-Scooter zu pendeln. In Hamburg ist Tier-Mobility schon Teil der neuen städtischen Mobilitätsapps und für diese Konzepte sieht Philip Reinckens eine vielversprechende Zukunft. Zwar erwarten viele Internetvordenker, dass irgendwann mal eine Plattform die Mobilität dominieren wird. So wie es Amazon im Einzelhandel und Spotify bei Musik tut. Laut Philip Reinckens gibt es in Deutschland eben etablierte kommunale Verkehrsunternehmen und die Städte wollen einen Einfluss auf die innerstädtische Mobilität behalten. Sehr wahrscheinlich werden bald neue Akteure Tier-Mobility nachfolgen. In ein paar Jahren wird es bald Roboter-Taxis in einigen Städten geben und gegenwärtig ist die Finanzierungssituation sehr gut. Philip Reinckens empfiehlt, dass man natürlich seine betriebswirtschaftliche Hausaufgaben machen muss, also der Betrieb muss effizient aufgestellt werden und ein starkes Marketing muss etabliert werden. Aber man muss immer passgenaue Lösungen für die Kommunen entwickeln und sich genau auf die individuelle innerstädtische Mobilität einstellen.
