Ever feel like your business hustle is outpacing your soul's rhythm?Like you're building the empire, checking the boxes, slaying your goals… but deep down, something's still missing? In this episode of the Happy Hustle Podcast, we are resharing the guest guru training by my friend, Danette May.Danette is a best-selling author, transformational speaker, and founder of multiple businesses, including Earth Echo Foods. But before all the success, she was a broke single mom with just $47 to her name. She turned her pain into purpose, her rock bottom into a launchpad—and now she's empowering millions with her story, spirituality, and soul-aligned strategies. In this episode, we dive deep into how tuning into your life force, crafting a clear vision, and practicing daily soul time can radically shift not just your business… but your entire existence.Danette didn't just wake up with multiple seven-figure brands and a global platform. She created a clear vision for the life she wanted. And that vision pulled her forward, even when everything around her screamed, “Give up.”She talks about how writing down your desires and being honest about where you're struggling creates the foundation for transformation. If you're running a business without a clear “why” and “what for,” you're just reacting to life—instead of designing it.Danette also shares how just a few shifts in mindset turned mundane routines into powerful rituals. When you bring purpose into your actions—whether it's brewing your morning coffee or leading your team—you activate a different frequency. One that attracts the right people, the right opportunities, and the right momentum. She doesn't teach manifestation as wishful thinking. She teaches it as a science of frequency. You have to act as if your vision has already come true. Embody that energy. And keep showing up as the future version of you—right now.Whether it's with your team, your partner, or your clients—radical honesty + radical love is the move. Danette opens up about navigating relationships and how accepting others (and ourselves) in their wholeness is key to growth. If you're grinding but not glowing… it's time to look within. If your team isn't vibing… it's time to reset the energy. If you're leading without soul… it's time to remember who you are.Danette's story proves that when you blend vision + soul + strategy, you create not just success… but a legacy.Because the truth is—you don't have to sacrifice your well-being to scale. You don't have to disconnect from your heart to lead. You can build a soul-aligned business that fuels your bank account and your spirit.Connect with Danettehttps://www.instagram.com/thedanettemay/https://www.facebook.com/TheDanetteMay/https://www.youtube.com/user/danettemay/https://twitter.com/DanetteFitnessFind Danette on her website: https://danettemay.com/Connect with Cary!https://www.instagram.com/caryjack/https://www.facebook.com/SirCaryJackhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/cary-jack-kendzior/https://twitter.com/thehappyhustlehttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFDNsD59tLxv2JfEuSsNMOQ/featured Get a free copy of his new book, The Happy Hustle, 10 Alignments to Avoid Burnout & Achieve Blissful Balance https://www.thehappyhustle.com/bookSign up for The Journey: 10 Days To Become a Happy Hustler Online Coursehttps://thehappyhustle.com/thejourney/Apply to the Montana Mastermind Epic Camping Adventurehttps://thehappyhustle.com/mastermind/“It's time to Happy Hustle, a blissfully balanced life you love, full of passion, purpose, and positive impact!”Episode Sponsors:If you're feeling stressed, not sleeping great, or your energy's been kinda meh lately—let me put you on to something that's been a total game-changer for me: Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. In this episode of the PCOS Repair Podcast, you'll discover what it really means to live a PCOS-friendly lifestyle—and more importantly, how to design one that fits your unique needs. While the phrase "PCOS-friendly" gets thrown around a lot, it can often feel vague or even overwhelming. This episode offers a clear framework to help you stop guessing and start building a lifestyle that actually supports your body and your goals.Understanding the Foundation of a PCOS-Friendly LifestyleA PCOS-friendly lifestyle isn't about following a rigid formula or cutting out everything you enjoy. Instead, it's about giving your body the nourishment and support it needs while also making sure your lifestyle works with your real life—not against it. Whether you're dealing with shift work, family obligations, food sensitivities, or just a packed schedule, your PCOS lifestyle has to be sustainable for you.The Four Areas You Need to KnowIn this episode, you'll learn how to create that sustainable lifestyle by first understanding your PCOS root cause. This is essential for knowing which habits will actually move the needle for you. You'll also reflect on your current health goals—whether it's energy, fertility, weight loss, or something else—as well as what your current life priorities allow for. From there, it's all about taking aligned action to support your body in a way that feels doable, not overwhelming. The Four Pillars of Hormone-Friendly LivingWe will break down the four core pillars of a PCOS-friendly lifestyle: nutrition, movement, stress management, and emotional well-being. Each of these plays a crucial role in hormone balance and symptom relief. Rather than aiming for perfection, the goal is to build habits that are both effective and realistic for your daily life. You'll hear why small shifts in these areas can lead to big improvements over time.Making It Personal and SustainableThis episode also walks through how to personalize your routine without falling into the all-or-nothing trap. You'll learn how to start small, adjust as you go, and find the rhythms that feel natural and energizing. This isn't about following someone else's version of a “healthy lifestyle”—it's about creating one that supports your health while also honoring your current capacity and real-life responsibilities.Actionable Next Steps to Get StartedYou'll walk away from this episode with practical next steps, including taking the PCOS Root Cause Quiz, clarifying your main health goal, identifying your current priorities, and choosing a few simple habits to begin supporting your body today. This is the same framework I use with my own clients, and it's one that can grow with you as your life evolves. If you're ready to stop following generic advice and start creating a lifestyle that works for your hormones, your body, and your life, this episode is a must-listen. Be sure to hit subscribe so you don't miss upcoming episodes—and if you haven't yet, head to the show notes to take the PCOS Root Cause Quiz and begin building a lifestyle that truly supports your PCOS healing journey. You can take the quiz to discover your root cause hereLet's continue the conversation on Instagram! What did you find helpful in this episode and what follow-up questions do you have? The full list of Resources & References Mentioned can be found on the Episode webpage at:https://nourishedtohealthy.com/ep-147

Once you decide that yes you CAN make yourself healthy again, it's time to get started in a  place that will give you a strong foundation and quick win. But where? There's a story Debra Adele tells in her book The Yamas and Niyamas about a helpful monkey who grabs a fish out of the water and takes him up into the tree. As the fish dies the monkey laments, “But I saved you from drowning!” Sometimes the things we do for our health seem like they should help but they can actually make it harder for us to succeed in the long term. One of those things is going cold turkey on anything.  It's so tempting to try to change everything all at once. Tempting and unnecessary. And for some people it ends up being an exercise in frustration and failure. When it comes to getting healthy for the long haul what we really want is lifestyle renovation. Just like in any good renovation project the starting place is often with the cleanup. That's our Work IN today. How do we support the changes we want and clear our path to health and fitness results? Most of us have some idea of what is healthy and what isn't, many of us probably have already started introducing some of those things. We might even be aware of the things that we are “supposed” to stop doing in order to be healthier. Some are obvious like smoking, drug or alcohol use, or junk/fast food. There are many ways that our modern lifestyle supports and even rewards unhealthy habits. We're going to look at 3 of these areas and some of the small bite size changes that can lead to big results. As a part of my mission to bring a legacy of resilience through movement, each month you can join me for a hike on the bike trail followed by a free trauma informed vinyasa class back at the studio on Main Street. Jesse explores insights from the Retirements and Perspectives study, which captures the experiences and expectations of individuals transitioning into retirement, especially those aged 50 to 75. With half of the participants recently retired and the other half preparing to retire within two years, the study offers a timely look at the "final glide path" into retirement and the early years that follow. Authored by retirement experts Fritz Gilbert and Eric Weigel, the report dives into preparedness, lifestyle satisfaction, and evolving concerns. It reveals a common disconnect between what pre-retirees expect and what retirees actually experience—particularly around health, identity, and social engagement. Jesse discusses how meaning and purpose often decline post-retirement, and how maintaining social connection and physical health is key to thriving. Drawing inspiration from longevity expert Dr. Peter Attia, the episode emphasizes that preparing for retirement goes beyond money—it's about planning for purpose, relationships, and well-being. Jesse also shares three powerful exercises to help listeners create a more intentional retirement vision: the Perfect Day, the Ikigai Map, and the Rocking Chair Test. Key Takeaways:• Retirement is more than a financial event—it's a major life transition requiring emotional, social, and identity planning. • Physical health and vitality are crucial to enjoying retirement, not just surviving it. • Social connection is one of the strongest predictors of well-being in retirement. • The “Perfect Day” exercise helps retirees envision and plan a fulfilling daily life post-career. • The “Ikigai Map” offers a powerful framework to align purpose, passion, and impact in retirement. • The “Rocking Chair Test” encourages long-term reflection on what truly matters at the end of life. Living healthy doesn't have to mean going broke. Yes, pasture-raised eggs, non-toxic furniture, and sauna setups can get ridiculously expensive — but that doesn't mean you have to compromise your health just because you're on a budget. In this episode, I walk through a number of practical swaps and cost-saving strategies you can leverage to live healthy without overspending. From cold plunging in natural bodies of water instead of buying a $5,000 tub (no, it's not the same, but it's close enough if you need to save money), to skipping overpriced olive oil and cooking with butter, there are tradeoffs that make sense without sacrificing your well-being. I also talk about how we've drastically cut down on laundry costs using an ozone system, and why buying secondhand furniture might be better for your health than brand-new. A lot of this comes down to avoiding the trap of “health through consumerism.” You don't need a high-end gadget to reduce EMFs — just turn off your Wi-Fi. You don't need to subscribe to every wellness app — just go outside and breathe. It's not about being cheap. It's about spending where it matters, skipping what doesn't, and remembering that the simplest solutions are often the most powerful. As Dr. Derek Alessi shares, the first step on the journey to a healthier lifestyle is adopting the correct mindset. Being able to believe that the result we desire is not just possible but is what we will attain is how we begin to move the needle. Taking the approach of a student then allows us to learn the habits that help us and those that we must remove from our lives.Learning how to implement the changes we need to make can be uncomfortable. Changes in nutrition and exercise habits will help change our body composition, which Dr. Alessi details is one of the key indicators to disease and premature death.A health and fitness professional for over 30 years, Dr. Derek Alessi is the CEO of Strength Genesis. Ashley's story serves as an inspiration for those looking to make lasting changes in their lives.   Takeaways Ashley lost almost 200 pounds in three years through a combination of diet and exercise. Mental health plays a significant role in Ashley's relationship with food and her weight loss journey. Bariatric surgery was a turning point for Ashley, but it required a mindset shift for long-term success. Finding the right balance in nutrition is an ongoing process for Ashley, involving experimentation with different diets. Support from family is crucial in maintaining motivation and accountability during the weight loss journey. Coping with stress and impulsive eating remains a challenge for Ashley, requiring constant self-awareness. Exercise, particularly weightlifting, has helped Ashley regain control and build strength. Long-term health is about more than just weight loss; it's about sustainable lifestyle changes. Ashley aims to be a fun and active grandmother, motivating her to stay healthy for her future family. Navigating the medical system can be frustrating, and Ashley emphasizes the importance of self-advocacy in health.

Are you tired of starting over every Monday? Wondering how to build lasting healthy habits that stick—even when life gets chaotic? Then this episode is for you. This week on Salad with a Side of Fries, host Jenn Trepeck dives into the transformative journey of the Healthy Vibe Tribe and how 12 weeks of shared goals, weekly check-ins, and community support led to lasting change. Healthy Vibe Tribe member, Shannon, joins Jenn to share how she went from chasing the number on the scale to tuning into how she felt—physically, emotionally, and mentally. They talk about staying on track through travel, social events, and everyday chaos, proving that progress—not perfection—is what matters. Tune in to hear how consistency, community, and a shift in mindset can help you transform from the inside out. The Salad With a Side of Fries podcast is hosted by Jenn Trepeck, who discusses wellness and weight loss for real life, clearing up the myths, misinformation, bad science & marketing surrounding our nutrition knowledge and the food industry. Let's dive into wellness and weight loss for real life, including drinking, eating out, and skipping the grocery store. IN THIS EPISODE: (04:20) The creation of the Healthy Vibe Tribe(10:44) Discussion of the commitment level as a Healthy Vibe Tribe member(13:18) Noticing the transformation in healthy habits over 12 weeks(27:20) The Healthy Vibe Tribe principles made all the difference while traveling(33:37) Making the choice about drinking an alcoholic beverage(37:33) Going forward with the learnings from the Healthy Vibe Tribe(44:38) Tips on making life and health changes on your weight loss journeyKEY TAKEAWAYS:Weekly check-ins and shared goals fostered accountability and motivation, especially during busy times. Instead of fixating on the scale, shift your focus to how you feel—physically and emotionally. While tracking numbers offers helpful structure, lasting results come from staying present, consistent, and committed to progress over perfection.Being part of a supportive community and intentionally planning will help you maintain healthier habits during challenging times like vacations and conferences. Scheduling check-ins, packing snacks, and prioritizing wellness, can help you avoid the typical wellness pitfalls of travel.Transformation takes root when healthy decisions become second nature. This shift fosters a sense of empowerment and often inspires those nearby, creating a ripple effect that encourages collective growth. Consistent choices, made with intention, serve as a quiet but powerful example of what's possible when wellness becomes a way of life.QUOTES: (07:40) “Am I an example or a warning? You get to a point where you have to decide that time is important, and I don't want the quality of the subsequent decades of my life to be different because I kept saying, ‘Next Monday is gonna be the time.'” -  Shannon: Healthy Vibe Tribe Member(21:31) “There's something really powerful about the words we use, not just in terms of lost weight, which many of you listeners know, is like nails on a chalkboard to me. We remove it, we release it.” - Jenn Trepeck(32:22) “But the point is that perfection is not required, and bringing the exercise clothes is still progress over where we've been before.”  - Jenn Trepeck(35:04) “When we start to make quality choices, it inherently invites other people around us to do it too, in a way that's not pushy. Our consistency in healthier choices allows the people around us to adapt.” -  Jenn Trepeck(40:19) “Accountability, even if it looks a little bit different, is keeping the things in place that we know helped us get here.” - Jenn TrepeckRESOURCES:Want to Jump Into Round 2 of the Healthy Vibe Tribe? This is it. The final chapter of Make Change That Lasts, and it's the most important one. Why? Because this chapter completes the loop. We started this journey by talking about how our lives are shaped by invisible reliances—habits, thought patterns, and societal expectations we don't even realize we depend on. We've worked through breaking free from the ones that hold us back, building resilience, and reclaiming our time, energy, and well-being. But here's the thing—none of it matters if we don't connect back to the people around us.This final episode is about one of the biggest paradoxes in life: The more you give, the more you thrive. The stronger you become, the more you can support others—and that, in turn, lifts you even higher. This is the gift of reliance.References:“Make Changes That Lasts. 9 simple ways to break free from the habits that hold you back.”Dr. Rangan Chatterjee Brain.fm App(First month Free, then 20% off subscription)Discount Code: coachdamiensdCaldera Lab Skin Carewww.calderalab.comDiscount Code: CoachDLinks:IG:@coachdamien_sd@damienrayevans@livinthedream_podcast YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS6VuPgtVsdBpDj5oN3YQTgFB:https://www.facebook.com/coachdamienSD/
