Ce qui est bien, c'est que chaque liste correspond vraiment à chaque membre !THOMAS « EL COMANDANTE »Speed racer (The Wachowskis – 2008)Mad Max : Fury road (George Miller – 2015)Dernier Maquis / Les Chants de Mandrin (Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche – 2008 / 2011)The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans / Au cœur des volcans (Werner Herzog – 2009 / 2023)Balada Triste de Trompeta (Alex de la Iglesia – 2010)The Counselor (Ridley Scott – 2013)Cameraperson (Kirsten Johnson – 2019)Mektoub my love : Canto Uno (Abdellatif Kechiche – 2017)Small Axe – Lovers Rock (Steve McQueen – 2021)Transformers 2 : Revenge of the Fallen / 13 Hours : The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (Michael Bay – 2009 / 2016)GI Joe : Rise of Cobra (Stephen Sommers – 2009)Hypernormalisation (Adam Curtis – 2015)La Loi de la Jungle (Antonin Peretjatko – 2016)Lincoln (Spielberg – 2012)Boyhood / Everybody Wants Some !! 11eme épisode de Grin to Green w/Corinne Bonnin

Programmation musicale de l'émission > Bruck : Décompresse Freddie Gibbs & Madlib : Thuggin' Sinkou Son & Kouran Kin : Songs In Grief Alice Coltrane : Rama Katha Potochkine : Narcisse
Yves Bertot is a senior researcher that the French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (INRIA) in Sophia Antipolis and a leading researcher on correctness of software and the verification of mathematical proofs. Recently, his team was able to formally verify the correctness of the computation on the one millionth decimal digit of pi (which is 1, by the way), including a formally verifiable proof of the mathematics behind the formula and the correctness of the implementation of arithmetic operations used in the computation. We use this result as an inspiration to talk about interactive theorem proving and improving software quality.

Our online directory and magazine can be found on www.rivierafirefly.com THIS EPISODE In this Riviera Firefly Episode 15 Antonia chats with her guest Julie Hellon about why she set up a charity saving children in Kenya. The challenges , the ups the downs the impact on family life. Why we need to keep helping supporting, volunteering and how even 1 euros can make a massive difference in the life of a child. KEY POINTS [0:01] What to expect from the programme. We’re going to get right into this episode.. Julie Hellon Kenyan Kids ..I am hugely inspired by her heart, her tenacity and her compassion. Life is so busy we forget sometimes about the world around us where we aren’t living in such cosy conditions.. She is going to tell us about the charity she set up Kenyan Kids why she did it, the impact on her home life, the new Familia project .. it’s really touching and moving please take some time out of your busy day .. You know every decision Julie makes for the KenyanKids organisation has to take into account that it has to make a commitment to any child entering their doors. So a 7 year old has 12 years ahead before they will be self sufficient and they need to ensure that they have the funds to complete on that promise. As you listen keep in mond there are many ways to take action, make a difference .. I have started by spending time interviewing Julie and editing this podcast..I’m passing the baton to you now Firefly .. I think we all need to hear this one. [13:00] The lightbulb moment - on the rubbish dump. [14:30] The biggest challenge when launching the charity. [16:00] Applying business skills from IBM to help charity work : marketing ,selling [17:00] Asking people for money, what does the money go on? [18:00] Deciding where to focus the efforts street boys . The nursery school idea began..Julie opened the school as a white foreign woman.. [20:00] Requirements for going to school and fees for sending a child. [23:20] Familia The Rescue centre background .. Julie got sick with Malaria .. she brought Zablon “Small” back from Kenya [26:00] The River Between by prolific Kenyan author Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o that was published as part of the influential African Writers Series and Small read this to Julia when she was sick and opened her eyes to FGM. [28:30] The lack of social services for girls on the streets and orphans. [29:00] Familia was opened and was able to take care of 10 girls and give them a future [30:30] Challenges bringing “Small” back to live in France. His role as an ambassador. [35:00] life in Kenya is in complete contrast to living here…. · I meet some very interesting people! Ex murderers, criminals … fortunately now reformed · I get to ride on the back of a piki piki (motorbike) without a helmet (stupid or what?) · It’s the only place I know where I’m woken in the middle of the night by someone on the phone saying our kid goat has just been eaten by an alligator (further investigations prove the culprit was a neighbour’s dog) · I get to sample/eat freshly caught and then fried, flying white ants · I still find it hard to believe I actually lied to the Kenyan Police once … I was hiding (protecting) a young girl so they wouldn’t imprison her · I get the protection and respect of street boys Julie couldn’t tell me enough about the amazing fund raising effort Paddy Warwick’s runners did in last years marathon in November 2016 . They raised and incredible amount of money and allowed the charity to secure a premises for a decent future. Maybe you were a runner, or you are a sponsor ..or like Keren Sharp you are continually baking fabulous cakes to sell – each penny goes to those Kenyan Kids. I said earlier on that Julie is constantly looking to fulfil her commitment and promise to the kenyankids .. The bottom line is they need money to keep that commitment. Now we don’t actually here in France get asked to sponsor or volunteer that much so I’m hoping that some of these ideas coming up will grab your attention I’m going to throw in the jewel in the crown right now - someone who has experience in applying for grants and subventions maybe a French neighbour you know retired did this before get in touch.. kenyankids.org Could you commit to 50 the price of a dinner or if you dine in better places than me then a nice round 100… with interesting tax breaks ..or have you got some fund raising ideas that could make even more – get onto her website and set up a standing order. Awareness for our own teenagers..Get Julie to come in and talk to your school there must be international schools you have contacts with .. kids, teenagers could and should be interested in the world around A talk by Julie and a project getting them to raise a tenner to send a child to school..what a great learning opportunity that would be for the class. For little kids they can do their bit too … Remember a 1 euro a month keeps a young girl in security .. she can buy feminine products and doesn’t need to sell her body to a teacher (yes that happens Something that your daughter, sister, niece takes for granted. I’m going to ask my daughter to earn some pocket money and do this regularly. Donate through their website use paypal it’s easy. They need to keep the profile up, communicate to donors , encourage people to get involved..perhaps you could keep their facebook page updated say 1 hour a week – you’re probably on FB anyway so what would an extra 15 minutes here and there make? Or Admin the killer of any business can you help there – a self starter who can work their way around a form whould be a life saver.. OK so lots of ideas … and I know what it’s like we have the best intentions and life whizzes by .. so make you make me a mental commitment right now .. something you will do lets make a time frame ok within 30 days. A contact / a donation do something. Have you thought of your idea. Say it outloud – then we have an agreement. Thanks! I’m going to hold you to that . Here’s a final freebie .. I know I’m being a bit cunning as you’ve already committed and I’m adding this in after but this is one you can do right now.. take your phone or computer and share this podcast with your friends send it to many people .. lets say at least 10 people .. if every listener does that .. the chances of Julie getting in contact with the person who can fill in that form , the person who will get a corporate donation, the team that will be the next Paddy Warwick fundraiser is much more possible – those possibilities are out there . Please share , like, review and subscribe to the podcast and this will help the episode get more visibility. Thanks so much for listening. Now go and ake some action ! We are so privileged to be in this beautiful part of the world ..let’s get it back in the news for the right reasons #cotedazurliving.

Nanophotonics is one great path into our future since it renders possible to build e.g. absorber, emitter or amplifier on a scale of a few dozen nanometers. To use this effectively we will have to understand firstly the resonances of plasmons and secondly the interaction of electromagnetic waves with complex media. Here on the one hand we can model light as waves and describe what is happening for the different frequencies of monochromatic light waves. We have to model the evolution in air or in more complex media. On the other hand - taking the more particle centered point of view - we can try to model the reaction of the photons to certain stimuli. The modelling is still in progress and explored in many different ways. The main focus of our guest Claire Scheid who is working on nanophotonics is to solve the corresponding partial differential equations numerically. It is challenging that the nanoscale-photons have to be visible in a discretization for a makro domain. So one needs special ideas to have a geometrical description for changing properties of the material. Even on the fastest available computers it is still the bottleneck to make these computations fast and precise enough. A special property which has to be reflected in the model is the delay in response of a photon to incoming light waves - also depending on the frequency of the light (which is connected to its velocity- also known as dispersion). So an equation for the the evolution of the electron polarization must be added to the standard model (which is the Maxwell system). One can say that the model for the permeability has to take into account the whole history of the process. Mathematically this is done through a convolution operator in the equation. There is also the possibility to explain the same phenomenon in the frequency space as well. In general the work in this field is possible only in good cooperation and interdisciplinary interaction with physicists - which also makes it especially interesting. Since 2009 Claire Scheid works at INRIA méditerranée in Sophia-Antipolis as part of the Nachos-Team and is teaching at the university of Nice as a member of the Laboratoire Dieudonné. What Is Special About Jessica It seems to me Yoga choose Jessica rather than the other way around. She had a great job in Paris in IT, she travelled all the time, and she was making money. But a workshop with David Swenson and meeting Pattabhi Jois in London between 2000 and 2002 changed everything. She could not believe how people would show up early in the morning to "sweat together", and practice this dynamic form of hatha yoga. And she liked it. So she started practicing and traveling to Mysore and meeting people and ... She joined Yoga Thailand in its early stages as a teacher and by invitation! and met Tiwari who is one of the most serious and advanced practitioners of pranayama in the world today. That, meeting Tiwari, is something I envy her for (in a good way of course) because she got to study under direct supervision from him... they still talk on the phone. What We talked About Jessica's life in the corporate world, working for IT and traveling most of the time How she started getting into yoga slowly Her workshop with David Swenson clarifies things for her Her visit to London to take Pattabhi Jois's tour classes India An Invitation to Teach and "take over for a few months" Yoga Thailand!!! I mean. Wow. Her yoga sabbatical, and did she fear running out of money? What is it like to learn directly from Pranayama World Authority Tiwari? Opening her own studio in 2008 in New Orleans Getting married and having a baby The delivery story - It was painful but not as crazy as some videos women get to watch... How the studio is doing today What took Jessica a long time to understand. Books Jessica Recommends on The Podcast Prakriti: Your Ayurvedic Constitution (Your Ayurvedic Constitution Revised Enlarged Second Edition) Paperback - by Dr. Robert Svoboda Prakriti It means "nature" in Sanskrit. Dr. Svoboda, says Jessica, is a great writer, very entertaining, very clear and practical. He is a teacher and a yogi. Ayurveda The Science Of Self Healing by Vasan Lad. Jessica says this one is for those of us interested in learning more about the pulse, and a good introduction. Ayurvedic Nutrition - By Atreya Smith, one of Jessica's teacher. This book is clear on diet and the benefits of it. ANOTHER BOOK WE MENTION IN THE PODCAST: The Blue Zones Solution: Eating and Living Like the World's Healthiest People by Dan Buettner (Here is the interview James did with Buettner on living to 100) About Jessica Her Studio in New Orleans Her book: Yoga Thailand's Healthy Lifestyle Cooking I've tried recipes from this book for the past five years, in between visits to Ko Samui, and they are delicious and packed with nutrition. A Meal Plan to eat healthy she is offering for free Twitter Facebook Instragram Youtube Samahita Retreat - or Yoga Thailand Transcript Claudia A. Altucher: Hello and welcome to the Yoga Podcast. Today I have for my guest Jessica Blanchard. She is the founder of Balance Yoga and Wellness in New Orleans. She is a trained yogi for years, authorized by Pattabhi Jois in the Ashtanga yoga tradition. She has also studied at Yoga Thailand under Paul and Jutima Dallaghan, and also Master Tiwari, one of the most authoritative authorities in Pranayama in the world. And Jessica has an interest in Ayurveda. She is a member of NAMA, the national organization which governs and protects Ayurveda here in the United States, and she studied at the European Institute of Vedic Studies and Ayurveda as well. She's a co-author of Yoga Thailand's Healthy Lifestyle cookbook, which is in Amazon, and Jessica had the life I think I wish I had when I was in the corporate world. Jessica, welcome to the Yoga Podcast. Jessica Blanchard: [Laughter] Thank you, Claudia. Claudia A. Altucher: It's great to have you. So I want to ask you – I'm insanely curious. You started practicing around '99, 2000 – is that so? Jessica Blanchard: That's right, yeah. Claudia A. Altucher: And you had a job. Jessica Blanchard: Oh, yeah, yeah. I worked at Accenture, which is a big consulting firm, multinational. And at that time I was based in Europe Claudia A. Altucher: Where in Europe? Jessica Blanchard: Well, in southern France. Officially my base was called Sophia Antipolis, which is close to Nice, so – but I was traveling a lot because most of the clients were in other places. It was kind of a pan-European office, so I would travel to, say, Dublin, Ireland – that's actually where I was when I first started Ashtanga yoga, and… Claudia A. Altucher: Uh-huh. So do you speak French? Jessica Blanchard: Yes, I do. Claudia A. Altucher: So were you born in France, or – Jessica Blanchard: No, no, I was born in Louisiana, and there's a strong connection between South Louisiana and France 'cause it was originally settled by the French. So I always had a fascination with France. My grandmother spoke French; she spoke Cajun French. Claudia A. Altucher: Oh. Jessica Blanchard: Yeah, but I learned it in school, maybe starting when I was 13, and I did spend some time over in France when I was in university, in eastern France, in Noce, which is a small place not too many people go to, but it was great because I learned to speak really well 'cause there weren't too many foreigners. I made very good friends there. Claudia A. Altucher: That's great. But let me ask you – so did you live in Paris with your job because you were living there, or did they hire you, or how did that happen? Jessica Blanchard: That happened – they hired me in New York, and – Claudia A. Altucher: I see, and you spoke French. And your job was IT, right – IT related? Jessica Blanchard: Yes, it was. It was very different, and I really didn't know what I was getting into when I started. I was a sociology and French major, in a small school outside of Philadelphia, an all-women's college. And I managed to do well in the interviews – I don't know how – 'cause I didn't – Claudia A. Altucher: That's great. Jessica Blanchard: Yeah, and I – Claudia A. Altucher: But you know, the thing is, I also had a job in IT, so I remember reading your bio – it must've been 2006 or so – and going, “Oh, my God, she is like what I want to do.” It's amazing. I mean, I think you were in Dublin one day and you take a workshop with – well, tell us. Who did you take a workshop with? Jessica Blanchard: Well, this was actually – first it was just a yoga teacher. I am having trouble remembering her name, 'cause she doesn't teach Ashtanga anymore. But my first Ashtanga classes were with her – her name was Paula; that's right – and then soon after that I took a workshop with David Swenson. He was probably one of the first – the first ever yoga workshop I took, and that was in early 2000, I think January of 2000. I still remember it was very cold and dark – Claudia A. Altucher: Yeah. Jessica Blanchard: ______ Dublin, and it was ______ gym. But there were all these people. I was surprised because it didn't seem like many people did yoga. There were no yoga studios. All of the classes were in very cold church halls or gyms. We would push the equipment out of the way. The first time I met Paul was at this very funny gym; there was carpet on the floor and he was traveling and teaching there. But – Claudia A. Altucher: And David Swenson is like a huge – is like – within the Ashtanga yoga world, probably everyone has seen his book because he teaches both the primary and the intermediate series in that book with modifications. So for those of us who can't get into the pretzel, he has sort of like side images so that you feel like, okay, yeah, I can do this, and it's very reassuring. Jessica Blanchard: Yes, and he's a very – yeah, he makes yoga very accessible, so it's been – yeah – nice. Claudia A. Altucher: And something happened to you there, like you caught the Ashtanga bug. You liked it Jessica Blanchard: I loved it. I really did. I can't exactly say why. I think it's a constellation of factors about it: the moving, the breath, the fact that it does require – because it's physical, you concentrate. It requires concentration. And there was less talk and fluffiness and I think – Claudia A. Altucher: Yes. [Laughter] Jessica Blanchard: And it's interesting 'cause in Europe I feel like yoga was less fluffy than it is in the US since – you know, now I moved back in 2007, but Ashtanga – to me it seems like it's a little more popular in Europe than it is here in the US. Radially restricted linear energy transfer (LET) is a basic physical parameter relevant to radiation biology and radiation protection. In this report a convenient method is presented for the analytical computation of this quantity without the need for complicated simulation. The method uses the energy-re-stricted LETL, as recently redefined in a 1993 ICRU draft document and supplements it by a relatively simple term that represents the energy of fast rays lost within distancer from the track core. The method provides a better fit than other models and is valid over the entire range of radial distance from track center to the maximum radial distance traveled by the most energetic secondary electrons.L r computed by this approach differs only a few percent from the values Contribution to the international symposium on heavy ions research: space, radiation protection and therapy, 21–24 March 1994, Sophia-Antipolis, France
