“So many of my plans have been undone by Antonio Banderas” The panel of peril stand in the corner of the room, in the shadows, waiting for a chance to strike at their prey. They're not home. They've gone on holiday for three weeks. Damn. Instead, they decide to watch this week's film The Batman (Matt Reeves, 2022). The Batman (Robert Pattinson) is, once again, starting out on his career path of borderline psychotic vigilante. Taking out street gangs pushing Gotham's drug of choice, monitoring the local mafia along with James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), and making the acquaintance of likeminded individuals such as Selina Kyle (Zoe Kravitz). But a mysterious masked man known only as The Riddler (Paul Dano) raises the stakes higher than ever as he wreaks bloody vengeance on high-ranking Gotham officials. Can The Batman unravel the mystery, and stop him? Watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqqft2x_Aa4 ********PLOT SPOILER ALERT******** Seeking revenge for what he sees as the abandonment of the lower class (principally himself), Riddler targets a conspiracy that ranges from a District Attorney (Peter Sarsgaard) to mob boss Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and even Bruce Wayne's father Thomas. Yikes! As he racks up a formidable kill list it remains to be seen what his final goal truly is, and what his plan for The Batman entails. Just what did the panel think of this week's movie, pray tell? How can they improve upon The Riddler's twisted scheme? And who will be christened this week's most diabolical? https://twitter.com/diabolicalpod https://www.instagram.com/diabolicalpod/ https://www.facebook.com/diabolicalpod Email diabolicalpod@gmail.com

Thank you for joining us for Don't Know Her?. To mark the upcoming Emmy awards, we're doing a miniseries on performers who have garnered a lot of attention for their TV roles yet somehow feel underappreciated when it comes to their big screen work. And we are kicking this off with the marvellous Jeffrey Wright. In the world of TV, Jeffrey is perhaps best known for his Emmy Winning turn in Mike Nichols' Angels In America (2003), an adaptation of Tony Kushner's celebrated stage play. He will also be known to many for his work on Westworld (2016-present) and Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014). In film, Jeffrey will be known to many for his supporting roles in the recent James Bond films, The Hunger Games series and The Batman (Matt Reeves, 2022). He has also been celebrated for his work in Basquiat (Julian Schnabel, 1996), Broken Flowers (Jim Jarmusch, 2005), and The French Dispatch (Wes Anderson, 2021). We discuss these roles, dream about his future roles and take a quiz - all to celebrate this wonderful actor. Please join us, enjoy this episode and follow us on social media to stay updated! --- LE FILM D'ACTUALITÉ (03:17)THE BATMAN (Matt Reeves, 2022) --- LA THÉMATIQUE APPROFONDIE (48:39)SE7EN (David Fincher, 1995) (01:12:24)DARK CITY (Alex Proyas, 1998) (01:40:20)KAÏRO (Kiyoshi Kurosawa, 2001) --- Autres films évoqués : CLOVERFIELD (Matt Reeves, 2008) ; LET ME IN (Matt Reeves, 2010) ; LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (Tomas Alfredson, 2008) ; LA PLANÈTE DES SINGES : L'AFFRONTEMENT (Matt Reeves 2014) ; LA PLANÈTE DES SINGES : SUPRÉMATIE (Matt Reeves 2017); TAXI DRIVER (Martin Scorsese, 1976) ; LA VALSE DES PANTINS (Martin Scorsese, 1982) ; JOKER (Todd Philips, 2019) ; BLACK PANTHER (Ryan Coogler, 2018) ; AVENGERS : INFINITY WAR (The Russo, 2018) ; DIRTY HARRY (Don Siegel, 1971) ; BLACK CHRISTMAS (Bob Clark, 1974) ; HALLOWEEN (John Carpenter, 1978) ; FLASHPOINT (Wilson Yip, 2007) ; KWAIDAN (Masaki Kobayashi, 1964) ; THE GRUDGE (Takashi Shimiz, 2002) ; RING (Hideo Nakata, 1998) ; BEFORE WE VANISH (Kiyoshi Kurosawa, 2017) ; CURE (Kiyoshi Kurosawa, 1997) ; CHARISMA (Kiyoshi Kurosawa, 1990), SÉANCE (Kiyoshi Kurosawa, 2000) ; PRINCE OF DARKNESS (John Carpenter, 1987) ; RRR (S.S. ¡Hola Crononautas!

In Zack Snyder's Justice League, determined to ensure Superman's (Henry Cavill) ultimate sacrifice was not in vain, Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) aligns forces with Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) with plans to recruit a team of metahumans to protect the world from an approaching threat of catastrophic proportions. The task proves more difficult than Bruce imagined, as each of the recruits must face the demons of their own pasts to transcend that which has held them back, allowing them to come together, finally forming an unprecedented league of heroes. Now united, Batman (Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and The Flash (Ezra Miller) may be too late to save the planet from Steppenwolf, DeSaad, and Darkseid and their dreadful intentions.Written by: Chris Terrio, Zack Snyder, and Will BeallDirected by: Zack Snyder The Movie Podcast is one of Canada's top film and review podcasts. The true story behind Justice League's failure is only half of the juicy narrative, though. Snyder—who left the project months before filming concluded—still fans the flames that surround the rumor of a "Snyder Cut" of the film. This allegedly is the version of the story he wanted to tell before the studio, Warner Bros., pulled him off of the project. Hence, the "Snyder Cut."Pop-culture fans love a meaty mystery, and the controversy swirling around the lost Snyder Cut of Justice League has been captivating comic-book movie fans for years. Additionally, an army of passionate DC and Snyder fans are committed to getting the "Cut" released. They already have gone to incredible lengths to fight for the movie's opening, and have found strength, support, and charitable goals in their global "family" of Snyder Cut supporters. Their stories are remarkable, and the book is just as much about the dedicated fans who make up the Snyder Cut movement as it is about the unreleased film. Their efforts finally paid off with the recent announcement that Snyder's cut will be released in 2021 by Warner Bros. and HBO Max. Release the Snyder Cut tells the entire story.https://twitter.com/Sean_OConnellhttps://twitter.com/RTSCBookhttps://www.cinemablend.comFOLLOW USFollow Daniel on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Shahbaz on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Anthony on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow The Movie Podcast on Twitter, Instagram, Discord, and YouTube

Just wanted to send my love during what is a difficult time for all movie & Marvel lovers. The loss of Chadwick Boseman is tragic and has sent ripples across the world showing how far his reach as not only T'Challa but just as an amazing actor and human has gone. This is especially true for the black community who have suffered far too much loss and trauma this year. I hope that everyone who has been touched by this can find time to heal and remember him for the incredibly moving, intelligent and talented person that he was. This all being said, I would like to leave you with a question, what can we as a movie community do to ensure we allow Chadwick's legacy to live on? Much love boys!

Let us know at ThisTimeWith.com/talk EPISODE #70: How Movie Theatres are Reopening Safely with Sarah Van Lange, Executive Director of Communications, Community and Social at Cineplex - August 3, 2020 MAILBAGBrady says, Hey guys just want to say I enjoyed your recent episode of you guys talking about the Superman Black Suit and the Snyder Cut. I know you guys were curious as to how much Whedon reshot the film and I wanted to help clarify that. As you know Zack Snyder has not seen the theatrical cut but he has stated that you only seen about 10-20% of his footage while the rest of it is Joss Whedon. When Whedon came on board he wrote 80 pages of new script material. So that's about an 1 hour and 20 minutes of new footage that he shot in a 2 hour movie with credits that was mandated by WB. So already that shows you how different the film is. The reason Whedon didn't get credit for directing is cause the DGA rules state that a director who films 90% of principal photography gets sole credit no matter what. Zack Snyder filmed 100% of principal photography so that's why his name is in the theatrical cut. So yes this movie is going to be an entirely different from the Whedon version as well as the version he shot. That's why they are throwing so much money to basically redo it from the ground up. So things like the Russian family and the parademons smelling fear from the Batman scene are not in the Snyder Cut. Sorry for the long message but just wanted to give you that information. Thanks again guys for all you do :) ANNOUNCEMENTSCOMMENTARIES: Game Night, Sicario, and Spider-Man (2002) NOW AVAILABLE ON THE MOVIE PODCAST FEED!CATCH UP: Black Lives Matter, Zack Snyder's Justice League ‘Snyder Cut' Coming to HBO Max in 2021 and Interview with Kevin Lima, Director of A Goofy Movie, Tarzan, and Enchanted and more!CHECK OUT: The Last of Us Part II Spoilercast AVAILABLE NOW!
